Batch Determination - Sub contracting
Hi Experts,
I am trying to determine batches(automatically) for 541 and 543 movement types.
I activated batch determination in SPRO for 541, 542 & 543(O)
I created condition record MBC1 for "plant/movement" for 541 and "plant/movement/stock type" for 543
I am doing MB1B for issuing goods to SC through 541, system is not picking the batches automatically. when I tried to enter <*> in batch, system is throwing the below error message.
"""""The system could not determine any usable strategy items
Message no. SP012
Diagnosis
The stock determination strategy found for stock determination group 0001, stock determination rule Z002 does not contain any entries that can be used in the item table. Optional pipeline withdrawal is not possible either.
A strategy item can be used if it fits the predefined stock specifications. If stock determination is used for a reservation item with the predefined withdrawal storage location 0001, the system ignores all strategy items with a different storage location."""""
what am I missing ?

R.S
Hi Ravi,
Thank you.. There was a problem with charactersitics. I successfully posted 541 but stuck up with 543. I have maintained batch determination for 543. I did all the settings same like 541 even I created a condition table to pick special stock type and created MBC1 with 543 o.
When I enter MIGO, system is not determining the batches for components through 543 movement type and If check without expanding the components I am getting the below error.
"Of the required quantity of material 1900000022, 3,150.000 KG remain(s) open"

Batch determination for Sub Contracting Purchase orders
Hi
I want to allocate automatic batch number while creating the Sub Contracting Purchase order (item cat: L).
System should dynamically allot the batch, no manual process.
This automatic batch number allocation should be work for sub contracting PO's not all Purchase orders.
Please suggest the process.
ThanksHi SUNIL,
I haven't done such thing so I'm nut sure whether it works what I'm writing, but according to the manual is it possible to assign automatic batch creation to movement types.
As I understood in SPRO you can:
1. Set the internal batch assignment:
Logistic General > Batch Management > Butch Number Assignment > Activate IBNA
2. Define the creation for the movement type you want:
Logistic General > Batch Management > Creation of New Batches > Define Batch Creation for Goods Movements
But I think you can't make difference between 'normal' MVT 101 and 'L' MVT 101. Isn't it possible to create a new MVT for subcon-GR?
In this case maybe you could realize your idea.
But defining a new MVT just because of thi might be troublesome...
Maybe you can find better solution.

the user performs the GR for subcontacted items they need to report the qty and batches used for the components on the GR - similar to CORKIng really. The request here is to have the ability to show the batches and qtys available in stock at the vendor - like batch determination on CORK goods movement screen.
Yes i understand your requirement.

Shipping Point Determination for Sub contracting Process
Dear Experts,
While processing the GR for a Sub Contract Purchase Order, we are getting an Error 'VL 100 - Shipping Point XXX doesn't exists'
However, I am not understanding where from this Shipping point is picked.
Checked the Shipping point determination based on Loading Grp, Shipping conditions & Plant. But that is a different shipping point, and it is being picked while processing the outbound delivery for sending components thru 541 Movement.
It is clear that the Shipping point XXXX is not existing, but not sure, as where from that Shipping point is being determined while doing GR
Request for your inputs please
Thank you,
Best Regards,
Ramakrishna MangenaHi Ramakrishna ,
What u earlier said is perfectly right : Shipping point determination based on Loading Grp, Shipping conditions & Plant
Check the following :
Are u posting GR through VL31N .
If yes, just check the receiving pt entered in Header Data - Shipment Tab.

Batch determination in Subcontracting order
Hi,
Can any one of you explain me the steps for doing batch determination for subcontracting orders. i am facing the same issue, but i dont know what steps to follow.
our scenario is: we do a GR against a Sub contracted PO using 101 mvt type and when i am trying to post the document, it's asking me to enter the batch for few components which are maintained as vendor consigned stock and in batches.
is it possible to automate the process? can any body explain how to setup the customization for batch determination?
thanks in advance,
KanthFollow the below steps.
01. For movement type 543 "O" assign your search procedure T code : OMCG
02. Maintain conditions record or strategy record.
A1) Normaly we use batch determination at delivery level, because at the time of order material may or may not be created.for this material should be configured with batch and batch determination should be checked in sales views of material.
A2) Batch Determination during order Creation.
For this you need to maintain a Classes d for you Material. Depending on the Manufacturing process you can define the characteristics for your material.
Ex: Purity for Medicines, Resistance for Electric Items.
You need to create a class (You might have to create a new class type) which incorporates the characteristic.
First Create the Characteristic Using Ct04 and then using Cl02 create the Class including this characteristic.
Then in your material master Classification View Enter this class.
Then Create a Batch for the particular plant and Stor Loc using MSC1N.Give the value of the characteristics in this batch.
Then go to SPRO ->Logistics General ->Batch Management and maintain the Condition Technique (Procedure, Strategy Types and assignment to sales docs etc).
Then Create the Batch Determination Record using VCH1. -
Issues during Component Batch Determination for Process Orders
Hi,
I am encountering a strange issue during component batch determination of process order.
1. During creation of process order, when I execute batch determination, systems does determination based on strategies we have set and when I click on Copy it gives an error
"Log cannot be saved: Object/subobject not specified"
Message no. BL201
*Diagnosis
Log save cancelled because at least one log contains no object or subobject.
Object and subobject are needed to classify application logs because there are several log types. Only a few logs are managed in main memory at runtime, so this classification is not needed.
If the logs are to be saved in the database, object/subobject must be specified for later retrieval.
Procedure for System Administration
Object/sub object can be passed when a log is created (function module BAL_LOG_CREATE) and changed with BAL_LOG_CHANGE.
The possible values for object and sub object must be configured in transaction SLG0.*
If I save the order with CRTD status and come back again in change mode and do determination, It works fine.
Again when the order is in REL status and do the determination, It gives the same error.
This happens only for a specific plant, In other plants batch determination works in all scenarios.
I checked for all plant related Config for batch determination and coudn't find any discrepancies.
Please advise how to resolve this issue. Thanks in advance for your help
Regards,
AheeshThere Is no direct solution for your requirement just try this work around.
While defining the batch determination search strategy for process order in COB1, there is one column Quantity proposal where you can attach the Routines (This is written in ABAB code ) make use of this, define New Routines with ABAB help to fulfill your requirement. Try this if found useful award full points.

Sub contracting Process issue for A/c entry
Hi All,
While doing the GRN for subcontracting process ,cost object error is appearing for stock change SFG account ( BSV).
Business would like to do not assign the Default cost object for change in stock account. Kinldy confirm whether it is possible to determine Internal order number ,whcih same assigned to GRN for stock in change account SFG.
Any alternative method would be apprecaite
Rgds
SumaManiThanks to all of us for answers !!
We solved problem as mentioned !
1. Created separate SFG Stock change over subcontracting GL account and assigned same in OBYC - BSV & profit centre wise internal order defaulted in OKB9 settings. Also created sub contracting expenses GL and assigned OKB9 profit centre wise. ( Problem has been solved with separate GL account of stock change over)
It can be possible to solve with using of substituion GGB0 with module pool RGGB0*

Dear All,
While making GRN for sub-contracting by using 543 movement type, the following account determinations are made as per the messages received in process.
GBB--VBO FOR VALUATION CLASS 7900
WRX--GR/IR
BSV--CHANGE IN STOCK
FRL--FOR EXTERNAL ACTIVITY
But I am getting error message as
Fld selectn for mvmt type 543 / acct 24110499 differs for Cost center (010)
The above acc no was assigned to GBB--VBO.
Please provide a solution.
Regards,
Venkat.Hi
The problem may be because the field selection of GL account 24110499 from FI is different from that for the movement type 543 from MM. The Report RM07CUFA can be used to check this discrepancy. Therefore, go to Transaction SE38 and select this program. The next screen will appear where you have to enter both your G/L Account and Movement Type and stock indicator O.
For further information, check in OSS Note 9281.

Goods receipt through Inbound delivery for Sub-Contracting Purchase order
Hi
I am trying to do goods receipt for the inbound delivery /shipping notification created for a sub -contracting Purchase order. The Finished product and the component part are batch managed, When I try to perform PGR in VL32N , I am getting a blank screen as error message and Goods receipt is not getting triggered . I checked for OSS note and found 645119 close to my issue but not an exact match . We are in ECC 6.0 with EHP 4. Can some one clarify whether it is possible to post GR through inbound delivery for a Subcon Purchase order .
Thanks in advance for your immediate response.
with regards,
Joseph Anand BHi, The issue may be due to this - the component is batch managed but the batch data is blank in the component list of the Purchase Order Item. Or a batch is maintained in the PO item component list but the stock for the same batch is not available with Vendor, i.e. stock with some other batch may be available.
In a receipt for Sub-cont PO, 101 happens for FG and 543 happens for component. But there is no option to provide the component details in a delivery. So in standard system, when 101 happens via a delivery, 543 will be posted in the background. So any error in posting 543 will result in a blank screen without any error message.
You can fix this by maintaining correct batch in the PO component list.
But there is another issue - you cannot do 'cancel posting' and 'return delivery' for this receipt. Only you can reverse the inbound delivery and you should know that the recevied stock shouldn't have been processed to do reversal of inbound delivery. -
BAPI_PO_CHANGE Sub-contracting PO
Hello experts,
we are using BAPI_PO_CHANGE to change the Item Category of a material
in a purchase order to L (sub-contracting) when we do we receive the
error message in the BAPI u201CNot possible to determine any componentsu201D
due to the fact the associated material doesn't have a BoM. we do not
want to create BoMs for these materials, we want to populate the BoM
requirements directly in the Purchase order as you can do with
transaction ME22n where you receive the same error message but you can
continue, but in the the BAPI you can't. we have try many ways even
trying to manipulate the error message but all fails.
please advise if this is possible to do? are we using the correct
BAPI? we have also tried with BAPI_PO_CREATE1 but the same error.
Regards
Markhello Purnima.
thank you for the quick reply
we are on SAP ECC 6.0 and this support note has already been applied.
i think my question was a bit misleading, we have create a sub-contractor ( L) PO with BAPI_PO_CREATE1 and wish to add
additional sub-contracting PO lines using BAPI_PO_CHANGE the additional PO header lines, do not have a BoM already created and we do not want to create one as these are one off activities , we would like to applied the BOM components for the PO header item directly in the PO as you can in ME22n.

Sub contracting - Subsequent Adjustment
Hi Experts
Sub contracting - Subsequent Adjustment
I have sub contract Whom I sent the material A - 100 Kg to get the Finsished product B - 100 Nos
He has delivered the material
MIGO done
Senario 1 He has utilised the only 95 kg to make 100 nos
2. He has utilised 105 kg to make 100 nos
How do u do in subsequent adjustment? Of he has consumed more quantity how to return him?
Thanks
TanviHi Tanvi,
After the subcontractor (as vendor) had delivered the ordered material (end product), you posted the goods receipt to the subcontract order. The system determined the necessary components for each purchase order item and created for each component a goods issue item with the quantity that was determined in the purchase order.
If the vendor informs you after these postings that a greater or smaller quantity of the subcontracting components was actually consumed than planned in the purchase order, you must post a subsequent adjustment to correct the component consumption.
If the component is a by-product, you must post the corrected by-product receipt (excess receipt) or by-product issue (short receipt).
"In Simple Words, suppose you have sent xx material 100 kgs to subcontractor for processing of 100 yy component. The subcontractor has produced 95 yy by using 100 kgs of xx. That means he has used 5 kgs excess material. But it was not of his fault. It was done on account of die / mould or some other reason. So you have to post a subsequent adjustment for 5 kgs of xx material and reconcile using J1IFQ for making subcontracting challan complete. Similar case can be understand when subcontractor processes 105 yy using 100 kgs of xx. That means 5 kgs of xx short consumed. These types of adjustment can be known using t-code mb51 and movement type 121."

How to take sub-contracting challana print out
Hai friends,
How to take sub-contracting challana print out.
Where i have to do the message settings for taking return delivery excise document print out ( rejected RM material return to vendor ).
Please guide me.Hello,
During creation of 57F4 Challan in J1IF01, in Basic Data Tab Page, scroll down the screen, you will get a check box of "Print immediately" just activate it before saving, it will print the Subcontracting challan once you save it.
And to re-print the same go to J1IF11 and activate this indicator again and save.
Configuration Checks: -
SPRO > Logistics - General > Tax on Goods Movements > India > Business Transactions > Subcontracting > Subcontracting Attributes > Check whether Subcon Output Type - J1IF is maintained here.
Also check in M706 - For Output Type - J1IF should be in place.
Note: - There is no need of maintaining condition record for output type J1IF in MN21 and also no need to do any further configuration.
Maintain printer in the SPRO - IMG - MM - Inventory management - Output determination - printer determination.- printer determination by plant / storage location ( OMJ3). Here for the application area ME, condition type J1IF, assign the printer.
