Batch job not creating purchase requisitions
I have a batch job that runs every day at 5 pm. The point of this job is to run the MRP and create purchase requisitions for materials that have more demand than current supply.
Programs ran within the jobu2026
RWPOB001
RVV50R10C
RMMRP000
My problem...
Purchase Requisitions are not being created for random materials after the batch job has been ran. When the MRP is run by itself (MD01), ALL materials will have purchase requisitions created for them without fail. There is no order to it, and no one has kept track of any material numbers that have not had purchase requisitions created, so I cannot check the configuration.
How I would like to investigateu2026
1 u2013 Obtain a list of ALL purchase requisitions created in the timeframe AFTER the batch job has been ran
2 u2013 Export this list into Excel
3 u2013 Run the MRP manually to create purchase requisitions for ALL materials
4 u2013 Obtain new list of ALL purchase requisitions created in the timeframe AFTER the MRP was manually ran
5 u2013 Export this list into Excel
6 u2013 Compare both lists; remove duplicates, display materials and requisitions that were created AFTER the batch job missed them.
How would I go about getting a full list of purchase requisitions that have been created within the time frame the batch job has been ran, then export them into excel? I understand that ME5A is the standard transaction for displaying lists of purchase requisitions, but how would I go about pulling all purchase reqs CREATED within a certain time period?
Please, include specific SAP transactions and details in your answers.
Also, if anyone has any good advice regarding how to get to the bottom of this specific issue, Iu2019m open to suggestions. All good suggestions will be rewarded promptly.

No, I did not say that RMMRP000 should be ran before requirements planning. I said it is the requirments planning. So you just run it twice if you execute it with MD01 again after this job.
Running it twice should not end in different results if it is run with the same paramters (selection variants)
As you are saying you get different results, I think you are running it actually with different entries in the selection screen.
So you need to compare both selection screens. MD01 is obvious as you see it directly.
Compare it with the selection variant of the batch job, that you can display via the menu after you displayed the job in SM35
ME5A transaction can give you a list of requisitions. alternative you can just use SE16 at table EBAN.

CRM service order does not create purchase requisition
Dear experts,
CRM 5.0
We have a scenario where saving a released service order should create a purchase requisition in ECC and update the document flow. I have performed the following steps and still the PR isn't getting created.
1. Configuration in CRM and ECC for integration of service processes with logistics and maintaining the purchasing document types.
2. Maintaining standard pruchase groups in ECC table V_TMW01
3. Assigning standard purchase org to the plant
4. Making sure correct RFC destination is assigned to the logical system.
Am I by any chance missing some middleware steps as saving the service order does not even trigger anything in the system?
Thanks
RitwikHi Ritwik,
Just check the following activities are maintained or not
1) You have created the subscription in SMOEAC with Site , Replication object and Service Order
Process type in the criteria value.
2) You have maintained the customizing entry in CRM in spro for the following combination in logiistics
Integration for Trans.Type Item Cat. Service Organization Org Unit (Service) Log. Scen.

MRP batch job not creating planned orders
Hi Experts,
Can anyone help with suggestions of where/what to look at with this situation. My MRP background (batch) job is not creating planned orders for materials in certain MRP planning areas as expected, but will create planned orders in other MRP planning areas. Running MD01 or MD03 creates planned orders for materials in all MRP planning areas of the plant as expected.Ben,
Any time you get a difference between interactive MRP and batch MRP, first look to the planning file.
Start out by finding some of the discrepant parts (no planned orders are being created) Review for the presence of a planning file entry in MD21. If an entry does not exist, create one in MD20. If an entry does exist in MD21, but there is nothing in the NETCH/ NETPL/reset ord/reexpl bom cols, then this means no relevant changes have taken place, and NETCH MRP will ignore the parts. You can optionally reset these flags in MD21.
If you discover that you have one material for which there is nothing in MD21 (no record at all), then you probably have others as well. Run MDAB in Background, which will mass create all the missing entries. Also a good idea to run MDRE in case something has been corrupted.
Here is [OSS note 205681|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/205681] which explains a bit about the planning file. Also, See [OSS 371016|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/371016] which describes a similar problem.

MRP is not generating purchase requisitions consistently for MRP type VB
Issue: When executing consumption based MRP in ECC 6.0 using the following parameters; purchase requisitions are not created for all material with stocks below max stock levels. In other words requisitions are created incase of some materials and requisitions are not created for others.
u2022 MRP type VB ( manual reorder point) with reorder point qty
u2022 Lot size HB with Max stock level
u2022 Procurement type F (external procurement).
Additional info: Some of these materials are batch managed and results are inconsistence whether it is batch managed or not.
Regards
SaiI checked that and planning file entry is created.
Example 1: MRP is not working.
MRP type = VB
Lot size =HB
Procurement type= F
Material # = 1200045
Reorder point =30
Max stock level = 300
Available qty = 139
No PRs are existing before MRP.
MRP is expected to create PR for qty 161 (300-139= 161)
Example 2 : MRP is working.
MRP type = VB
Lot size =HB
Procurement type= F
Material # = 1200052
Reorder point =100
Max stock level = 1000
Available qty = 87
MRP created PR qty of 913 and results are as expected.
MRP is expected to create PR for qty 161 (1000-87= 913
NOTE: I am directly creating Purchase requisitions by selecting creation Purchase Requisitions Indicator =1 during MD01/MD02 trxs . Not creating any planned orders. -
IW31-Create Purchase Requisition automatically from PM order - Release 5.0
Dear Experts,
Currently we are working in the 4.6C Release but we are doing the migration for 5.0. In PM, in the 4.6C release when we
create a PM Order in tcode IW31 we select a component and the system shows us the screen to inform the quantity and
automatically the system shows us a screen to Create Purchase Requisition where we can fill or select some fields.
However, when we create a PM order in the 5.0 using the same tcode, the same material type, the system creates
automatically the Purchase Requisition without to show us the screen to fill or select the fieds. I´ve checked the customizing
comparing the systems but I couldn´t find something.
I was wondering If you could help me with this issue?
If my comments are not enough to understand me, please let me know...

Creating Purchase Requisitions from within PS (ie from network)
When creating purchase requisitions from within Projects Systems (ie activating them from a network) is there a "standard" way to put a cost center on the Purchase Requisition? Currently no cost center is put on the account assignment. We are looking at doing a custom field on the network header to hold the cost center and then a user exit to take this cost center and put it on the purchase requisition (and reservations) but before we go to all this trouble thought maybe I should check to see if I am missing something obvious? Is there a more straight-forward way to accomplish this? We know that we cannot edit the account assignment in ME52N becuase the PR originates from the network and therefore can only be changed from the network.
Any input welcome. Thanks.Dear Laura,
When you will create Purchase Requistion through Network, system automatically takes account assignment category as "N" i.e Network. This you can not change in ME52N transaction.
So this is a standard practise for generating Purchase Requistion through Network in PS Module.
As you said putting Cost Center in Network Header as a Account Assignment Category which will go up to PO creation by using some User Exit which will not be possible in PS Module as per my knowledge is concern.
But you want to keep Cost Center as as a Account Assignement Category you need to create manual Purchase Requisition through ME51N transaction.
Hoping this will be useful to you.

Error while creating purchase requisition
Hello
I am getting following error when I try to create Purchase Requisition
u201CField selection PT4B not definedu201D
Cant progress any further due to the error
Regards,
sudhirHi
First Do you Have created any new field selection for PR document types?
IF not check your PR document type is attached with which field selection in Puchasing -> purchase requisition -> define document types -> check your document type and field selection. Is it PT4B?
PT4B is not available then assign correct one in customization.
If it is then check the settings for fields selection in purchasing -> PR - screen layout at document level -> field selection PT4B.

Create Purchase requisitions directly using PS network or indirectly ME51N
Hello SAP-PS consultants,
My customer manage big projects that most of the work done by suppliers, contractors and consultants. We use WBS element to define phases in project and for link to budget control in FM (every phase as different budget). We also use activities network to manage the work in the phases. I offer my customer to create Purchase requisitions, as a standard integrated process, using activities. My customer thinks that is more difficult and complicated to create Purchase requisitions directly using PS network. From your experience, is it better to create purchase directly using PS network or indirectly using MM transaction?
Regards
Muly ZoharHi Muly,
The decision to go for PR creation from PS or from MM will be based on the customer requirement.
1.If the customer requirement is to have both the cost integration as well as the integration project schedule with the PR , then you create the PR from PS.Any changes in the dates of the network will change the requirement dates of the components and will be transferred to the Purchase requisition. Further more planned cost distribution across the duration of the activity is possible in this approach.
2. Creating the PR from MM will have only the cost integration with the project. Any changes in the project schedule will not transfer the requirement date to the purchase requisition. You normally go for this where scheduling and procurement are independent of each other.
By clearly explaining these points to your client, I hope they can make a better choice of which approach to take based on business requirement.

Not approved Purchasing Requisition
Hallo all,
how can i prevent that not Approved Purchase Requisition are not able to create Purchase Order?
To reproduce:
create Purchasing Requisition (do not approve it)
create via Autocreate RFQ (with special RFQ Type Bid RFQ)
create via Tools/Copy Document the Bid Quotation (Action: RFQ Header and Lines)
create via Tools/Copy Ducument the PO
In this case you can create PO without of approving of Requisition. But this should not happen.
If there any of EBS-Setups (e.g. Systemprofileoptions) to prevent it???
Best Regards
Sergej
Edited by: 867673 on 31.08.2011 07:18Hallo Sandeep Gandhi,
thanks for Your reply. It is not about whether what someone should or should not, but that this possibility at all should not exist. That the not approved Requisition can convert into RFQ (or rather in Quote and after that into PO) in my case is not desired and should be prevent of system. For example, you want buy as emploee car in your company, you generate Request (not approved Requisition) and then you convert it to RFQ. It could be possible, that in big company, the buyer make real RFQ or get real Quotations. And my Ask is how can i prevent it? You mind "You can consider writing a step in the PO approval workflow that checks if the PO Distribution is tied to a Req Distribution." If I tied or rather reference the Requisition Distribution with PO-Distribution would it be prevent the generation of PO without of approval of this Requisition (not with autocreate but also with Tool/copy Document type)? And then, can you discribe how can i writing a step in the PO approval workflow?
Thanks in advance
Best Regards,
Sergej

Creating purchase requisitions instead of planned orders after MRP run in MDBT
When running regenerative planning in MDBT for plant with following details ,The system has to provides planned orders for the materials .
Processing key:NEUPL
Create Purchase requisition :3
Schedule lines:3
Create MRP list:1
Planning Mode:1
Scheduling :1
But sometimes it provides purchase requisitions for certain materials. The problem happens for different materials at different times.
I checked the material master and found that procurement type is external procurement.Business need to create planned order for the materials and then want to convert it to purchase requisition.
MRP group is assigned to the materials but no creation indicator maintained for the MRP group.
Please tell me why this run creates purchase requisitions suddenly and in the next run it disappears?Hello
Maybe someonelse is running MRP in another transaction, such as MD02, with a different parameter. Check on transaction MD05 when was the last MRP execution and the user that ran it.
Also check if there is any active implementation of BAdI MD_MRP_PARAMETERS.
If you don't have a cretion indicator, maybe it would be useful to set it for your MRP group, with the parameter 3, in order to make sure that planned orders will be created.

What program in SAP SD automatically creates Purchase requisition
What program in SAP SD automatically creates Purchase requisition, and also please tell me the user exit that we can use to change the delivery address automatically from plant address to ship-to address during purchase requisition creation time...
Your help will be appreciated.
Thanks,Hi,
The control to Create the PURCHASE REQUISITION is in the SCHEDULE LINE CATEGORY VOV6
The Purchase requisition will be created automatically for the THIRD PARTY and INDIVIDUAL PURCHASE ORDERS
The field in VOV6
ORDER TYPE
ITEM CATEGORY
ACCOUNT ASSIGNMENT
Will determine the Document type for creating the Purchase requisition
IFor both THIRD PARTY & INDIVIDUAL PURCHASE ORDER the standard Purchase requsition document type is NB and
ITEM CATEGORY 5 will determine whether it is third party or Individual PO.
Hope it is clear,
Please revert back if you need more details
