  • OWB - Workflow- Cannot run program "/usr/bin/perl": CreateProcess error=2,

    Hi All,
I am using OWB 11gR2 and I am getting "perl" location error after start workflow for any dimension or fact.
*Cannot run program "/usr/bin/perl": CreateProcess error=2, The system cannot find the file specified
The log is below. I am using Windows 2008 R2 OS and 11gR2 DB. The perl path is set in the environment variables and I can run the perl.exe from command line.
Why OWB is looking for the Unix base path "/usr/bin/perl": is a question for me.
If anybody knows the issue please guide me.

  • Question about 'perl adaddnode.pl'

We will be upgrading our production instance from 11.5.10.2 to R12.1.3. We have 3 internal Application Tier and one external tier (for public) and the database is running on a separate server.
We will be upgrading the first application tier and then clone it to another servers. I believe we will not have problem running the adcfgclone.pl, but we might have problem in running 'perl adaddnode.pl' cause other servers already exist in the AD_APPL_TOPS.
How should we add the application servers back to R12?

  • Perl.exe - Application Error

    Hello
we have installed in March 10.2 GridControl Server.
One of the GridControl Clients is a Windows 10.2.0.3.0 OFS-Cluster Database
since we installed there the Oracle Agent we get sometimes in Event Log:
Application popup: perl.exe - Application Error : The instruction at "0x77bd7e23" referenced memory at "0x01577000". The memory could not be "read".
(The cluster consists of two nodes, there are separte instructions to install the agents on a cluster:
one agent on each node (port1830)
and then you install once again on each node an agent but this agent you "melt together" to get one cluster-agent(port 3872,3)
but I don' know even if this is a cluster problem....)
    Any Idea?
Any Idea how to find more Information?

you need to increase the desktop heap size. To do this, open the registry key:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\ Session Manager\SubSystems\Windows
Look at the entry SharedSection . It usually has three values separated by
commas. To increase the desktop heap size for non-interactive desktops, the
third value needs to be modified. Modify this to 3072 and reboot the machine

ATA bus error means that data corruption occurred during transmission over ATA bus (SATA or PATA). This type of errors can be indicated by
ICRC or ABRT error as described in the section called “ATA/ATAPI device error (non-NCQ / non-CHECK CONDITION)”.
Controller-specific error completion with error information indicating transmission error.
On some controllers, command timeout. In this case, there may be a mechanism to determine that the timeout is due to transmission error.
Unknown/random errors, timeouts and all sorts of weirdities.
As described above, transmission errors can cause wide variety of symptoms ranging from device ICRC error to random device lockup, and, for many cases, there is no way to tell if an error condition is due to transmission error or not; therefore, it's necessary to employ some kind of heuristic when dealing with errors and timeouts. For example, encountering repetitive ABRT errors for known supported command is likely to indicate ATA bus error.
Once it's determined that ATA bus errors have possibly occurred, lowering ATA bus transmission speed is one of actions which may alleviate the problem.
I'd also add; make sure you have good backups when ATA errors are frequent

I can only see 2 values instead of the expected 3.
what is 56A ? is it bin, warehouse or storage type?
what is 870 ? is it bin, warehouse or storage type?
one variable that is need  to have a hit in table LAGP is missing, hence you get this error.
you have to find out why this variable is missing.
But there is a wide area to look. Hence you should first answer the questions, as this would limit the options where to look.

I started up in safe mode to try to figure out what was raising hell on my computer. the bin 793 error is new. I have been experiencing occasional flashing from space to space; I'm set up with 6 spaces with multiple tabs active in each.
Generally, I end up having to force quit Firefox to resolve the issue. Right now I'm logging the same error (793) several times a second.

Hmmm, not sure how “&#160” got into the title of my Question.
I realize the title is very general but didn’t know specifically what the trouble was.

    com.apple.LaunchServices.plist (4KB)
    com.apple.LaunchServices.QuarantineEvents (303KB)
I cleared the Cache & History in both Safari & Firefox just in case.
I checked Console Crash Reports & see both a Dock & a Finder crash report from one of the times I had the problems. That can’t be good.
I  installed AppleJack & may use it to clear all my Caches depending on what replies I get here.
Hopefully, this is now enough information for some suggestions on how to proceed.
I’m going to restart & then w/o opening any other programs, re-enable TM automatic backup & see if the trouble reoccurs.
    Thanks for any help.

  • Perl script server error 502

Upgraded to Windows Server 2008 and Instructor login Perl Script for iTunesU stopped working. It now gives...
"Server Error 502 - Web server received an invalid response while acting as a gateway or proxy server. There is a problem with the page you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed. When the Web server (while acting as a gateway or proxy) contacted the upstream content server, it received an invalid response from the content server."
Login scripts for Public and Student access still work fine.  Has anyone else ran into this error?

    Hi,
The forums have been having problems for about a month or so. The 502 error is less frequent than the generic 'Internal Server Error' pages, but they've been noticed as well:
    https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/098dc7d7-b12a-4a6d-ae74-47e612531e68/internal-server-error-coming-when-accessing-msdn-forum?forum=reportabug
The best way to report this issue is to send in an email to fissues (at) microsoft [dot] com with a link to the URL you received the error from and when it happened.

    Hi Hussein,
Would you please give me a suggestion for this error.
after remove the appsTier from the system (4 nodes system ) 2appsTier and 2 DBtier
verified with the database now i only have 3 node left in this ENV
    run
$adcfgclone.pl appsTier <--adding a second node to appsTier, the task was successful in adding this second middTier.
i then verified from command line that i can connect to the database from this newTier
    connect using
    apps/apps@gold
    apps/apps@gold1
    apps/apps@gold2
    they were all success.

  • [solved] Spamd won't start after perl upgrade

Starting spamd via the initscript doesn't work anymore. If I try to run spamd via console I get the following error:
/usr/bin/perl: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/auto/Crypt/OpenSSL/RSA/RSA.so: undefined symbol: Perl_Gthr_key_ptr
Any idea how I can fix this?
Last edited by ChojinDSL (2011-07-06 10:48:29)

    Ok, I solved it. Somehow.
I tested spamd on a different server and there the perl uprade worked without a hitch.
I tried re-installing a bunch of perl deps, but that didn't help either. In the end, I simply deleted the RSA.so file which the original error message complained about.. Since the files in that folder did not seem to belong to any package.
    And presto, spamd starts again.
