BO XI R2 - Random connection problem

Hi,
I installed a Citrix server dedicated for BO training. One user is domain admin. Seven users are users without special rights.
Everybody can connect to the universe and can work correctly using deski.
But approximatively every hours, the 7 users (not domain admin) can't run report. While the admin can do it.
Error message :
Erreur liée à la connexion ou au SQL : (DA0005)
Exception: DBD, [Pilote ODBC Microsoft Access] Impossible d'utiliser '(Inconnu)'; fichier en cours d'utilisation.State: HY000
15 minutes later everybody can work without any action...
And this, approximatively every hours.
Very difficult for a good training.
Thanks for your help

I bought 15 licenses. 5 licenses available.
For training everyone used the same identifier. Is this a problem?
There is no protection on the linked database.
What surprises me is that everything works properly, and suddenly the connection is no longer possible.
The connection recovery without intervention from me a few minutes later.
As if a service stopped and relaunched himself.

  • Dreamweaver random connection problem

I Have Dreamweaver CS3 and I find I can connect well with my
remote hosts for a while and then all of a sudden it takes ages to
connect and transfer files, and lots of time no connection is made.
This happens even if I change no settings. Then I found that after
a while I could connect as normal for a few days and then the
problems resumed. Other FTP programs are working fine all the time,
but Dreamweaver is being so frustrating. Can anyone offer some
    advice?
I tried reinstalling DW and turning off the firewall but that
    didn't help

What firewall are you using? Are you REALLY sure it's off?
    Such connection
issues are almost always firewall related.

  • WIFI random connection problems when connected to Cinema monitor

This is macbook pro purchased prior to 2008. I use an external cinema monitor in my office at home. Recently when I start the laptop with monitor connected I cannot get a airport connection. If I disconnect the monitor and restart downstairs I get an automatic airport connection.
I've changed channels on airport to CH 4 since we use cordless phones which I've read are on CH 11.
If I retart laptop downstairs and bring back upstairs and connect to cinema display, i can get airport connection.
Any thoughts on this? Seems to be a system configuration issue?

Odd that in your outline of troubleshooting steps you say you "disconnect the monitor and restart downstairs"...
Can you start the macbook pro UPSTAIRS where you want to be WITHOUT the cable attached to external display and get CONNECTION?
Sounds crazy, but mabey it's your signal strength? Sometimes a wireless connection will work at the edge of it's range okay but establishing connection at the same place will not work. Does that make sense?
Ensure that you can connect to the network when "upstairs" "near the cinema monitor" like you would if it were all working okay but DONT connect it.
    Eliminate the up/down part first.
Can you elaborate on your network configuration? What Modem, Router, etc are you setup with?

  • Since I upgraded to Moutain Lion I'm dealing with wifi problems : no connection or random connection

Since I upgraded to Moutain Lion I'm dealing with wifi problems : no connection or random connection. With  OS X Lion wifi was OK.

So, Darrall, it seems to be fixed.  Mind you, this has happened through a seemingly unrelated, but hopefully replicable sequence of events.  You be the judge.
I went to my other login account, which as it happens is also an admin account.  Voila, the secondary click worked fine.  So I returned to my primary account, where I did the following:
First, I unpaired the trackpad.  then I remembered I needed something to move the mouse with, so I re-paired the magic mouse I'd had before.  I thought I'd turned off the trackpad, but apparently not, so the computer re-paired it automatically. None of this had any immediate effect, as you'd imagine.
Then I went to Mission Control in Preferences. There, I deselected "Show dashboard as a space", and in the hotcorners, I deselected Mission Control from the bottom left, where it had been. I didn't replace it.
Now, my secondary click works. Uh huh. I was suspicious that it might have more to do with Mission Control and/or Dashboard than the trackpad, only because I'd beaten that horse till my arm hurt and this was all I could think of.
Never did I imagine this would get fixed short of creating a new login account and somehow copying everything - since I didn't know what was wrong, I could easily have copied the error too - so I'm very pleased and relieved.  If you haven't fixed yours yet, try this.  Let me know what happens!

  • IPhone 4 3G Connection Problems

    Hey all,
Since July 1st I have been through 3 new Iphone 4's and 2 SIM cards. The problem I have is when I try to use the internet though 3G. It will work once or twice for a few seconds in the morning, then it will either time out or just display the following messages "Safari Couldnt Open Page" or "Network Lost" and "could not activate cellular data network". I have called Telus (my provider) with no luck at all on the problem. I have reset every setting, I have installed software from new again, I have done everything possible. Wifi works flawlessly, but for some reason, my phone just doesnt want to connect to the internet using 3G. I know it's not my area and not my specific handset since I have had 3 of them. All 3 phones have been brand new and are locked to Telus, never been jailbroken or anything to that effect. Incase anyone would suggest to double check my APN settings, Telus does not allow their customers to access that feature, so it is not "shown" or available on the Iphones locked to Telus (which I obviously have). My phone always shows 4 or 5 bars by the way, and always says "3G". One interesting point is when I am able to catch a break and get a conncection, if I load my local radio station app and start streaming, i can then go to safari and my internet works just as good and fast as long as I am streaming, but that is only on the rare occassion that I can get on the net at all. So with all that said, does anyone have any suggestions at all?
    iOS 4.3.5
    Thank you!

i am on 4.3.3 with iphone 4 and have had that problem for almost a month now. I tired resetting all settings, resoted the firmware version and it didnt help, however, once i removed my simcard and reinserted it back in and worked fine for a couple of days, but then it went back to normal. it randomely connects to internet and randomely disconnects using 3g. no problem with wi-fi.
I am with Three network by the way.
is this some kind of hardware fault or software?
at least i am not alone, lol.
    please help

  • I'm having strange random connection failures. Are there ineffieciency in my config?

I've been having strange, random connection failures and I'm trying to eliminate possible causes.
What happens is while I'm browsing on the net over wifi, a link will at random not connect to the site, but instead fault to the ISP error page. It happens with highly reliable sites like google, or ebay, or whatever. If I direct connect to the cable modem, the problem site is immediately available.
I'm sitting <6 feet from a 871W router (with antenna). There's one router in my building and others are at my neighbors.
Below is the conf file. Just to imagine how rediculious this problem is, here's a screen shot from a web page. This shows a web page I visited, and after clicking on a link (an embedded youtube video), the error showed up within the page itself.
Why would only some URLs fail to connect? Is there inefficiencies in my config?

I removed the ip router 0 0 to no great effect, which I consider to be a win.
I'm guessing that since overload is what--I understand--translates the one outside to the many inside IPs, that the suggestion to have only one overload configured means I should combine the two ip ranges into one.
I deleted 10.0.0.0 network. Changed the bridge references to 1 and vlan references to 1. Now wifi and ethernet should all be using the same internal network? That's the idea, right? Any more fat?

  • IPOD CONNECTIVITY PROBLEM WITH WINDOWS XP VIA USB 2.0

    Enough is enough.
I have an ipod touch and I am having difficulty connecting it to my pc via usb 2.0.
I have searched the entire web and came across many cases similar or the same as mine. It's time for apple to face the fact that there is something wrong with either the apple mobile service or the apple usb drivers or the itunes software that causes connectivity problems with win xp.
For the record my case is this:
I got my itouch 3 days ago. I installed itunes 8.0. Then I plugged in my ipod to a usb extension cable port connected to a usb at the back of my desktop computer. At first I got the "this usb device can perform faster if you plug it to a usb 2.0 port etc." message. So I did. I removed the extension cable and connected it directly to one of the usb ports at the back. The first time it synchronized, it seemed fine. So I decided before I do anything with it, to update it to the 2.1 version. I made my account and bought (very bad policy there apple, it should be free or at least cheeper than 8 euro) the 2.1 update. I clicked to update the i-touch. While it was updating it crashed during the restore process (because it was disconnected but I didn't know that at the time). I unplugged it, resetted and plugged it back and managed to continue the restoring process until it was updated. After figuring out itunes I chose the "manage files manually option", kept everything unchecked in the sync options except the applications. I noticed there were random disconnections here and there but I didn't pay much attention because they weren't very frequent.
The next day I plug in the touch again and suddenly I hear that annoying "connecting-disconnecting" sound from windows while my touch kept disappearing and reappearing in itunes. Suddenly my playlists disappeared from the touch. Nothing was in the touch any more. How could that happen since i had chosen to manage my files manually instead of synchronizing? So I unplugged the touch again, restarted the touch, restarted the pc, stopped and restarted the apple mobile service, unistalled and reinstalled itunes, searched microsoft support and read many usb troubleshooting documents in the web. Nothing happened. The touch randomly keeps disconnecting from the usb. I eventually managed to put my stuff back in and keep them there.
    Here's what I know:
    1) There is nothing wrong with my usb ports. I don't use usb hubs, they are usb 2.0, the voltage (500mA) is correct in the device manager. Everything else works fine there.
    2) The ipod touch does not support disk mode so you can't see it under "my computer" and this is not a problem.
3)There is nothing wrong with the ipod, it works perfectly.
    4) This is not a usb cable physical problem.
    5) The five R's are irrelevant with this situation.
Uninstalling and reinstalling itunes doesn't solve the problem, neither does hard resetting the ipod.
    6) Older PC configurations seem to be more affected by this but it doesn't have to do with unsupported specific chipsets.
    Here's what needs investigating:
    1) There may be a problem with the apple mobile service running on win XP.
    2) There may be a problem with the apple usb driver and win XP or older motherboards.
    3) There may be a 2.1 firmware issue with usb 2.0 connectivity.
Workaround so you don't go nuts:
Use USB 1.1 instead of 2.0. It is A LOT slower but it keeps the connection stable and you can work with the ipod. Just start copying and go do something else for the next hour. So far it works for me.
This is a serious issue that needs immediate attention. I've stumbled across forum discussions dating to 2005 with this problem (with older ipods of course).

I think this needs to be put down to the eternal PC/Mac argument. Apple dont want to fix this as they want everyone to buy a Mac. Its a business, understandable, but in turning away PC buyers they alienate a huge percentage of the market.
Now, I had my first iTouch stolen. It synced, for the most part, very well, just occasionally it removed settings and music, but ticking boxes each time I sync'd sorted that, Its a workflow procedure.
SO, now that my Touch has been replaced, iTunes cannot see it. The PC can identify it on USB1 or USB2, My work lap top can see it and has indeed upgraded it to V2 software, just in case that was the issue, but no. For some really weird reason Itunes on my desktop cannot see the new pod.
This does not make sense with the argument that Apple software doesnt work on a PC, but doesnt help that none of the Apple support staff, phone or in-store have a clue about Windows operations.
Because my Touch has now been trying to connect to 6 separate installs of itunes, multiple USB ports, multiple USB cables, a complete overhaul of the registry settings (everything else still works), and the loss of all my previous settings and backups from the last Touch... but still, the PC says its an ipod but cant install it, iTunes sits there, dumb.
The only thing I can do now is sell the device as brand new as it has never had music on it and is just a week old...
It has changed the MiniMac I was going to have for my new flat screen TV into a PC and suggests that anyone with a PC should stick to devices that run on PC, of which there are many, just without the user interface of the dear departed IPod Touch.
    Thanks

  • Macbook Pro (Leopard v10.5.8) connectivity problems

    Computer:
Unibody Macbook Pro 13" from August 2009 (running OS X 10.5.8)
    Problem:
Randomly, my AirPort card will turn off and occasionally the computer will freeze up. This issue arose after Apple replaced the Logic Board for a faulty audio-out port. After trying various methods to reset the network, Apple replaced the AirPort card. I am still experiencing the issues.
+I have recently noticed that the issues have only ever occurred when the computer is running on battery power. The computer is able to be problem-free for days (until unplugged).+
_*What I've tried to do already (if you're having similar connectivity problems, these may solve your issues):*_
    1) I have cleared out all networks saved onto my computer under "Advanced" settings in the "Network" section of "System Preferences".
    2) I have reinstalled all current updates for my version of OS X Leopard
    3) I have attempted to reset the PRAM (turn on the computer by holding "command" + "option" + "p" +"r" and the power button). Sometimes this will turn the network back on and sometimes it won't. However, even if it works, the connectivity issues still come back.
    4) When the computer has frozen up, I have reset the SMC:

    com.apple.nat.plist

This problem has become very frustrating because every time I think I have it fixed the issue pops up again. If anyone has suggestions for something I haven't tried, I am more than happy to welcome your input.

    Hi g,
Software Update will update, but will not upgrade the OS. To upgrade the OS to Snow Leopard 10.6.8 you need to purchase the disc for $29 and install it, then run Software Updates.
I have no idea if this will resolve your issues.
Do you have at least 15% free space on your HD?

  • Internet slowed, then random connectivity

So I purchased my MacBook roughly 2 years ago some time this month. It was fine for the first year and my dad didn't want to get AppleCare because nothing had happened to it yet. As I reached the end of my warranty, the internet connection started slowing down gradually. About three months after my warranty expired, my hard drive died. I had to shell out $100 for a new one and installation. At this point in time, my internet connection was at it's worse. It would show full signal strength to my router, however would not allow internet access. I called my ISP and had them reset it and my internet was not better. Thinking it was my router I went out and got another. With that router, I was able to achieve random connectivity whenever my MacBook felt like it. We have since purchased another router in the hopes that it would get better, but it didn't. It's stayed the same, or gotten worse. I can achieve internet through wired means, directly to the wall, but it's rather bothersome and defeats the purpose of having a laptop if you can't move it. If you think you know what the problem is, let me know. If you know how much the repair would be, let me know. If it's too high, as a simple look-over costs $50, I would rather purchase a new computer.

    Hi,
Have a look through this discussion. There might be an answer.

  • E3000 random connection loss

Hi all!  I have an E3000 router that is hooked up to a modem through a cable ISP (Bright House) that also supplies my home phone (don't know if that matters). I have two wired computers and two to four wireless items (computer, game box, cell phones).  I have had the router for about 4-6 months and have just started getting these connection problems.  It will randomly lose the connection for both wired and wireless systems.  Sometimes it will fix itself and others I have to hard reboot the router.  I have connected one of the computers directly to the modem and found that there were no connection issues at that time.
Are there some setup tweaks that I can change that will possibly eliminate the connection problem? I am out of the window to return this item and, with the price, I don't just want to cut my losses (pun intended).
Thanks for any help you can give me.
    Lena

Upgrade the router's firmware. If it has the latest, then reset the router and reconfigure it from scratch.

  • Random Connectivity Issues with Time Capsule

I am having random connectivity issues with my time capsule with my intel based iMac.  I don't have any issues with my MacAir, iPads or iPhones...  just the iMac.   It shows a "good" connection but sometimes...  TC won't be able to connect to run a backup or I can't get to the internet.   It doesn't appear to be an internet problem as I can get to the internet on other devices.   It appears to be a connection issue between the iMAC and the TC.   Thoughts or suggestions?

Do a full reset of the iMac.. apparently after the latest Mountain Lion update it can cause issues. I have not needed to try this as I have not seen it myself but I track the treads very closely and this popped up.

  • Random performance problems

    Hello,
We have a medium sized internet application which is experiencing random performance problems. The applications data is stored in xml which is read/saved every page hit to a clob. The table which holds the clob has the cacheing option enabled and the clob is stored out of line (clob sizes range from 14k - 1mb)
THE PROBLEM - Normally the read/write takes 5-10 seconds. We have been experiencing times of up to 350+ seconds. This is not a locking issue. When writing the clob to the database, we do not chunk, we simply pass the entire xml string at one time.
Any ideas how you would debug this problem? Has anyone ran into any other similar problems?

  • New Mac Owner, connection problems...

    Hi,
This past month I bought a new Macbook Pro (The 2.5ghz 15" one.) and a iMac (The 20" 2ghz one.) Lately I've been getting connection problems where the connection just randomly drops every 3-10 minutes.
The router is 2 rooms away from the MBP and its in the same room as the iMac. I've only known of one connection problem with the iMac. The MBP drops constantly.
My router is a Linksys WRT54GX2 v2 with the latest firmware. (1.00.08)
Before I had the Mac's I had a Sony Vaio FS920, and it would never drop a connection.
    What I've tried so far:
    _On the router:_
    *Wireless > Advanced Wireless Settings:*
    Basic Rate Set #2
    Transmission Rate Auto
    CTS Protection Mode Disabled
    Auto Channel Selection Auto
    Beacon Interval 50
    DTIM Interval 2
    Fragmentation Threshold: 2306
    RTS Threshold: 2307
    Preamble Type: Long
    Network Density: Low
    Compression: Disable
    Concatenation Auto
    *Wireless > Wireless Security:*
    Security Mode: WPA/WPA2 Personal
    WPA Personal: Enable
    WPA 2 Personal: Enable
    Encryption Algorithms: TKIP+AES
    *Wireless > Basic Wireless:*
    Wireless Network Mode: MIXED
    Wireless Channel: 6 - 2.437Ghz
    Adaptive Channel Expansion: 2 - 2.417Ghz
    _On the MBP:_
Airport is on the top of the connection lists
The SSID is on the top of the conenction list
Did the CommandOption+RP twice on reboot for PRAM.
Can anyone help me out? It seems the only thing that is letting me back online every day is the fact that I have to reset the router and the cable modem... There has to be a easier way?
    Thanks,
    nG.

I believe the problem you are having with dropped connections is a known issue with Leopard. From what I have read, Apple will be issuing a fix with the 10.5.3 release. Of course, since Apple doesn't publicly discuss future updates, we'll just have to see if this does get fixed.

  • RG54G2 Wireless Router Internet Connection Problem

    Hi,
(apologies for the long message - trying to cover all details - summary: wireless router often drops internet connection)
I recently bought an RG54G2 Wireless Router, a CB54G2 PCMCIA Wireless card and a D-Link GWL-630 PCMCIA Wireless card.  In addition to two laptops connected to the wireless router WLAN, I have two PCs (one Win WP Pro SP 1 and one Win98SE) connected to the router via wired LAN.  I also have a SurfBoard SB3100 Cable Modem connected to the WAN port (this connects to my ISP -  Optusnet (Australia) via DHCP).
The problem I have is that the internet connection is disconnected many times a day (often every few minutes, sometimes an hour or so).  I am able to reconnect by resetting the wireless router via the wireless router configuration page.  When the internet is disconnected I am still able to access the computers on the LAN/WLAN (via Windows Explorer and Ping), I am also able to ping the router and the Cable Modem, but nothing outside of the cable modem.
Also, when the internet is disconnected the System Status page indicates that the router is still connected to the internet, and the Diagnostics page passes the Test Connection test, though no external pings work.
I did not have this problem when the cable modem was connected directly to the Win98SE PC (and other PCs via ICS).
I have disabled the WLAN and the problem still exists with only the wired LAN.
I have changed numerous settings in the wireless router config page with no success (eg disabling DHCP and setting each IP address, minimising LAN and WLAN speeds to 10 and 11MBps plus others).
I have upgraded the wireless router firmware to R1.0.6.0 (no change to the problem).
Searching on Google I have found several other cases of routers with unstable internet connections (none refering to the MSI routers), but none had solutions that helped my situation (most replies suggested updating the firmware).
Any suggestions of how to make the router internet connection stable?
    Thanks,
    Mike

maybe this is the FIX 4 wireles router internet connection problem
please let me know if any one fix the problem with this tips

Subject: SOLUTION to my router loosing connection to Windows XP
Reply | Reply to Author | Forward | Print | Individual Message | Show original | Report Abuse
I am happy to report that after 8 days of constant battles, reboots, phone
calls, cable pulling, router changing, it seems that I finally have found a
combination that has had me using Verizon DSL account for over 12 hours so
far without any kind of interruptions.
Since so many of you tried giving me comments and suggestions, I felt that
it is necessary for me to post this here so that the next person will not
(hopefully) need to go through this hell as I did!
My original problem was that when after I purchased a D-Link Wireless Router
DI-624, I would get disconnected from Verizon DSL at least once every 2
hours or so. My internet access would "freeze" and then a little popup box
at the bottom right system tray would tell me that the "LAN cable has been
unplugged".   After about a minute or so, my internet connection would be
back working   This was NEVER happening during the 2+ years I was using my
Westell modem alone (running in router mode).
Please keep in mind: The problem I was having was not wireless related as
it was happening to the desktop computer to which the router/westell was
    connected to!
During these last 8 days, I tried: one DI-624 wireless router, two Netgear
614v3 routers and two Linksys WRT54G v.2 routers. In addition, I received a
brand new Westell 2200 modem from Verizon.   I also tried about four
different CAT-5 cables. Here is the final outcome:
I have the Linksys WRT54G (version 2) wireless router connected to the
Netgear Fast Ethernet FA310TX network card in Auto-Sense mode (using the
built-in XP drivers, as Netgear told me that there was never a newer
revision released). I have DISABLED the built-in 3Com Gigabit LOM (3C940)
network card (via the ASUS P4C800 Deluxe motherboard BIOS), DISABLED the
Zero Wireless Configuration service, and have put in the IP/Gateway/DNS
address numbers inside my Windows XP Network Connections | LAN setup. My
operating system is Windows XP Pro SP1 and the modem is a Westell 2200
    configured as bridge only.
If my situation continues to be stable, I *might* try to go back to the 3Com
built-in card (disable any power management) and then re-enabling the Zero
Wireless Configuration services. But in reality, I am happy with the way
things are and have already spent enough time trying to get my router to
work with Verizon DSL without having it drop connections!
Now, the next step will be setting up the WIRELESS part of this. I don't
even yet have a laptop with me on the premises, but the 802.11g card that I
already have is the D-Link DWL-G650. I hope and assume that this will work
    okay with the Linksys...
One thing I must say is that I never realized that how many problems other
users are having. I would have thought that since 802.11x has been around
in the mainstream by now 2+ years, that things would have been much more
"system friendlier".   And again, my issues were not even WIRELESS related.
All 3 tech supports were not really helpful, as none of them realized that
the problem is somehow between the router and Windows XP (Ethernet card?)
loosing a connection, which of course results in Verizon DSL loosing the
    connection also.
One other comment about the Netgear 614 v.3 router: A number of people have
responded to tell me that they have had this random "router resetting"
happen to them (where the routers behaves as if someone turned the power off
and then back on, and the lights flash) just as if you first turn it on). I
was lucky to witness it myself during one of the "disconnects" that I had.
This was actually the reason why I went back to try the Linksys one more
time. So, I would definitely recommend staying way from this 614 (version
    3) model.
Once again - THANK YOU everyone!

  • Timeouts and connection problems after 5.1(2) upgrade

AIM/chat and some other programs are having timeout/connection problems after upgrade to 5.1(2). I am using S241 also. The connection problems stopped when the IPS was set to bypass. Rebuilt IPS and left sigs at default settings and problem is still happening. I am not seeing any of the IPs that are having the problem in the Event Viewer or on the Events in the IDM.
Any known issues with the 5.1(2) that would cause this type of problem?

I don't know specifically, but I did notice that 5.1(3) was released today.
