BOM Required quantity Table

Hello Experts,
I have to fetch required quantity in BOM and display it in my Z report.
I already have following values in my report material, Sales order no., sales order item no., Batch,plant,storage location, grid value.
So based on these values I have to fetch required quantity from some table and display it in my report.
Can anyone please tell me table and field for required quantity and how to fetch\link the required quantity based on above fields.
I had searched alot but didn't found any solution.

Use MAST, STPO and STKO if you're using ECM in your business process it gets complicated. In that case use FM CS_BOM_EXPLOSION or
CS_BOM_EXPL_MAT_V2
depending on your needs.

I don't know what they mean by Purchase Req Qty, to me, the required qty is the qty being ordered. Check with your functional lead, and have them point on this field in a standard transaction, then you can go from there.

Required Quantity are not copy from BOM

Dear SAP GURU,
I encounter this situation when i try Convert Plan Order ---> PO , Or Try create Process Order Manully.
But the issue here , when i look into the Material component list , the quantity for all required quantity are "ZERO".
I suspecting the Table is locked and that's why when convert to PO is "ZERO".
Can anyone tell me how to investigate this issue please?

Unable to understand your query, can you upload some screenshots of what error you notice (i.e. process order, BOM, etc.) to some portal n paste the link here to have some understanding of the issue

Tables for MRP requirements quantity.

Dear Experts,
I have requirements where in I want to know the table from which I will get the the material requirements quantity.
Example is as below;
I have given PIR through MD61 of "ABC" material as 100 qty.
After this through MD02 i will generate requirements which will appear in Stock Requirements list MD04.
If stock is available then accordingly it will create PR/Planned order.
Here my requirement is that i want to display pure requiremnets that is 100 qty irrespective of what stock is available.
In which table i will get this pure requiremts.
Please help.

Also you can use FM: MD_STOCK_REQUIREMENTS_LIST_API. Best is use this FM.

Table for Demand/Requirements quantity

Hi ,
Can you help me determine if there is a table in PP and MM module that contains the demand or requirements quantity for each material? I need to create a customized report that will show the demand per period of time(monthly).

Round Requirement quantity of component for subcontracting

Hello,
I need to round a requirement quantity of component in subcontracting PO automatically? So in MD04 it shows as rounded quantities not just the base on BOM cmponent quantity ( Only for component what we send to vendor not the kit we recieving back ).
Any help will be appreciated!

It just help planners to plan better.
We already cofigured so the components gets pick at rounded value on WM side. Its just MM side, if we can round the value for subsequent requirements. (Component requirement QTY - ERFMG)

PP: Default BOM base quantity by user ID

Hi Experts,
We want to default BOM base quantity by user ID when they create new BOM by CS01.
We set a new parameter ID for BOM base quantity similar as SAP standard parameter ID for BOM usage, and assigned new parameter ID to BOM base quantity data element BASMN.
User could change their own data from the default parameter ID tab to fill the default BOM Base quantity.
However, it is still required to add the parameter ID into the programs which is created BOM to achieve the final result.
Anyone has the same requirement? Please suggest.

header quantity is defaulted reading TCS03, if it's always the same you can change it in view V_TCS03_V. Otherwise I suggest an enhancement IN LCSDIFHX FORM TCS03_LESEN.

CN 752: Requirement quantity & & smaller than quantity withdrawn & &

Dear Gurus,
I have found a strange behavior in SAP PM order processing.
Even after withdrawing the spare parts, system is allowing to change the required quantity.
If someone is increasing the quantity thats fine.
But if someone is decreasing the quantity, system should not allow it.
System is giving below information message:
CN 752
Requirement quantity & & smaller than quantity withdrawn & &
I want to give error in such scenario.
I have tried setting an error message for above message, but its not working.
Any help in this regard will be highly appreciated.

Thank you very much for your inputs.
I have checked that, but it is still not working for me.
I have debugged the standard code and found that it is hard coded over there as information message for message CN 752, and system is not checking any table while issuing the message.
However for message CN 750, system checks the table and decides accordingly, whether to give warning or error.
Hence, it is clear that it will be information message only.
I will be mapping my requirement with user exit CNEX0026, where i will check the withdrawn quantity and required quantity and decide on whether to give error or not.

Capture ERFMG - Requirement quantity for a component

Hi All,
I have a requirement where in i need to capture the requirement quantity for a component(ERFMG).
The problem is the value exists only at runtime in the following structure MDPM.
I am writing the code in an exit EXIT_SAPMM06E_013 where in i cannot capture this value from this structure.It is not storing in a database table also . how can i get this value ?

Thank you for your post!
It is exactly what I have done but as I above mentioned:
Subsequent problem
The system schedules the dates correctly on the component level, but re-schedules the dates for the project the day you schedule and erase the complete old scheduling dates except for the activities with constraints.
If I have an "old" scheduled project and I add some new components anywhere in the complete project structure additional needs. I go then to the project definition level and schedule the complete project. My result is that on project definition and WBS elements no changes but on all activities (without confirmation) the system put the start date the day which I re-schedule the project.
That what I want to avoid and let the initial planned schedule date on activity level the same as before re-scheduling the project.
Do you have any further advices?

Issue about requirement quantity in production order

Requirement quantity shows negative number when I am creating production order, as I checked its BOM it is ok,what's wrong?

Check in CS03 in the item level details of that component for Co-Product check box activation. Also check in BOM whether its maintained in negative quantity. This component would also be defined with Co-product check box in MRP views.
If the above are not true then manually someone would have changed., so would suggest you to just try creating a production order manually to check.

How to increase Decimal Points for the BOM Component Quantity

While creating BOM:
Can anyone help me to know how i can increase the Decimal points for the BOM components quantity.
I can able to give only upto 3 decimal points, but the requirement is more than that.
I have increased the Decimal point value to 5 in transaction Code CUNI. but still it is allowing me to enter only upto three decimal places.

You would be better off changing the base quantity of the parent part. Instead of "1 EA parent contains .00003MG of component" you could say "100 EA parents contain .003MG of component".
Alternately, you could use different units of measure for your parent or component parts, which would be more suitable for the 3 place decimal limitation.
I agree with Anil in that if you elect to change the decimals from standard, you could end up with huge changes that will propagate through every module in the ERP. In my view, there is no need of this kind of headache.

Could you let me know the table & field name - from where i can get BOM Item quantity field.
I see it on
transaction : CS03
Program name: SAPLJ3AC
Screen Number: 0830
Field: RC29P-MENGE
But RC29P is structure, i am looking for table to get the data, is there any function module can return directly or do we have separate table, please let me know.

Hi Satya,
In a CO project, I used the function BAPI_COSTESTIMATE_GETEXPLOSION to read the BOM for the material, the MENGE is under fieldname QUANTITY on table explosion_list.
And, also used another two BAPI's which gather more detailed information BAPI_COSTESTIMATE_ITEMIZATION and BAPI_COSTESTIMATE_GETDETAIL.

Required quantity and multiple drawing documents in the work centers

Hi Gurus
I have created BOM, which contain item - drawing document, quantity 1 pc.
Irrespective of the total quantity of finished product the drawing document should be only one pc, as we use one document per work center.
However, output of "Required Quantity" using CS03 shows as multiple drawing documents instead of just one drawing document.
Please throw some light on this.

Changing the Requirement Quantity in Reserations

Dear PS Experts,
In a Project, I created a reservation of 5 units of item A. Then I issued 2 items against the reservation.
Later on I tried to change my reservation requirement quantity to 6 and SAP allowed it. Then I changed the same quantity to 1 which is below the issued quantity even that was allowed.
My question is why are the above changes allowed after material issue takes place ? (is it a common business requirement)
Else, is there an SPRO setting where we can restrict the above?

Hi,
That is the standard SAP functionality only. This is not a strange behaviour of the system. If you create any reservations manually, the system will allow to change at any point of time. While creating the production order or MRP created planned orders will create the reservations. That reservations you can't change.

How to make field requirement quantity mandatory in maint order?

Hi Experts,
I would like to make filed RESBD-MENGE - requirement quantity field in component tab of maintenance order mandatory. But I am not getting the IMG settings for this. I checked this screen settings for components for PM/CS orders. But I didn't get this field in that screen. Can anybody help me out on this?

Hi,
I need this to activate for all order types. I think this can be accomplished by user exit IWO10009, which will trigger during saving event. I didn't try for this but i used this exit previously for checking during saving event for some other field. I think this can be used here also so that while saving the system will check the field and if the field is empty, system will give the error message. some coding may required to check the field.
If you have any alternative idea kindly share.
