BPM notifications

Hi,I have a bpm process with two swimlanes roles.First user at first swimlane submit the form for approval by the user at second swim lane.My problem is that when first user submit the form a notification should go to second user in next swimlane.How to achieve that i have done the configuration but not working. Please provide help on this.

Why don't you configure an "Assign" notification in the next activity to send a mail to all Assignees? You can configure the User Messaging service to the mail to the user based upon the mail attribute in their user profile.

Could anyone say me the better way to internationalize, translate the texts of the BPM Notifications and Adobe Forms and WebDynpro user interfaces ?

Hi Lehcim,
Have a look at the src\bpmn folder of your process. For example if your process is called demoprocess, you'll find demoprocess.bpmn.xlf file there.
If you open that file it should be opened with the S2X editor. Have a look at the Resource Text Tab, you'll find all the texts of your process there. That means e.g. Activity names etc. but also the Texts you have used in your Notification activities.
Internationalisation works now like the aforementioned WebDynpro internationalisation.
In short terms: you copy the xlf file, add the iso language code (e.b. demoprocess.bpmn_de.xlf), then open the new xlf file and translate the texts.
Just post again if my explanation wasn't clear enough.

BPM Notification error - no direct link to the task in the message

Hello, why the notification message has no direct link to the task? Instead of the link there is a message "Link could not be evaluated, navigate to your inbox manually".

NWDS BPM Notification - Variable Type

Hi NWDS BPM Experts,
I'm creating an email notification and I need to send a table in the message body. When I create a variable, the variable type in automatically set to string. Based on SAP Help I should be able to change the variable type but the dropdown is not abailable, I cannot change the type. Would you have an idea how to do this?

When you specify the subject and text of the e-mail, you can optionally use variables to provide them with dynamic content from the process context.
1. In the Properties view of the notification, open the Mail tab page.
2. Specify the necessary text in the Subject and Message fields under Parameterized Texts .
3. (Optional) Choose the Add pushbutton under Variables to add a variable.
The system automatically fills in values in the Name and Type fields, which you can edit. You define an expression with the expression editor.
4. Select the value in the Name field to rename the variable.
Caution
You can only use the letters A-Z, the numerals 0-9, and an underscore (_) in the variable name.
5. Select a type of the variable from the Type dropdown menu if you want to change the type that was filled in automatically.
You must set a type before you create an expression.
6. Choose the Edit... pushbutton to define an expression in the expression editor. Choose the OK pushbutton.

I have configure the Notification Message function for the new task in UWL follow the guide below.

It does work on the server (BPM/CE7.11) in my office. (CE install in VMware along with mail Server, use same IP: 8.8.2.180)
But when I do the same thing on client's side, it just doesn't work out. (use the same VM instance, but in different Network environment)
I list the detail info. of settings and exception below:

Good day! I configured the notification but I stack with a problem.
There is an error in logs:
Could not send notifications due to Error: {...} nested exception is: com.sap.bpem.base.mail.MailException: com.sun.mail.smtp.SMTPSendFailedException: 550 authentication required
But I've entered the login and the password to the smtp. Where can I find a reason of the error?
Also I tried to configure notification service using the link http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwce711/helpdata/EN/e4/32ff7865fa483dba3686160f5c6dd0/content.htm, but when I try to configure tcbpembase~ear service there is no edit button and the column "Modifiable" has no check. What it can be?

Notification Task needs UME role and other value

Hi Experts,
I have a BPM notification task which needs to go to two UME roles (always same) and a UME user (dynamic selection).
This UME user is already stored in my context data.
However, when I configure the "To" tab of the notification task, how do I achive this.
If I select "Choose one or more UME principles" - I can assign the 2 UME roles. But then how do I get that UME user?

Hi Rahim,
You want to use an expression and one of the getPrincipal built-in mapping functions.
How are your user id and role names formatted? If you have the full UME name you can use getPrincipal or getPrincipals (for a list of values).
If you only have the name itself then you use getPrincipalByUniqueName - the identityType parameter is 1, 2 or 3 indicating whether its a user, group or role respectively. That only returns a single value ... so if you need to process multiple values then suggest you create a EJB-based mapping function using the UMFactory API to do something similar.

Is possible to Inherit LDAP language in WAS?

Hello,
I want to know if it is possible to inherit the language that I have in the LDAP to the WAS user? I see that it's an independent parameter but it causes a lot of trouble and double maintenance with tools as BPM (notifications) and Portal.
Or it's mandatory to set the user language in both systems (LDAP and WAS).

It depends on how the java code is gnerated. If for example months are given with fixed array .... then it will only be english
But then agin you have the source code (.java files) open all java files in the oracle.forms froject and alter to your language then recompile and reacreate the jar (easily done with Jdeveloper)

BPM Alerts not sending email notifications

Hello Experts,
I've successfully configured BPM within SolMan and alerts are being generated but I'm not receiving any email notifications. In the setup of Business Process Monitoring, "Contacts" have been maintained within the Solution Directory as well as the notifications section of the monitoring type with a sender and a valid recipient address . Both yellow and red alerts are being generated but no email notifications are being sent. Thresholds have also been maintained.
Researching other threads regarding this same issue points to tcode RZ20->SAP CCMS Technical Expert Monitors ->All Monitoring Contexts->BPM->Activate Maintanance Function-> and assiging Central auto reaction methods to MTE Class BPMRoot Context and the other BPM_APPMON_* MTE classes. Is there something that I am missing in order to have these alerts send email notifications when the alert threshold is reached?
I also defined the new Central Auto Reaction method and maintained the parameters properly which calls FM DSWP_BPM_SEND_ALERT. Please assist as I have exhausted all options. Please provide a step by step guide to setup alert notifications if possible.

Sending email Notifications from BPM 11.1.1.5+FP

Tracking notifications sent from BPM process - User Messaging Service

I have a requirement to track the notifications sent from all the BPM processes in one place.
My Requirement is to (1. Check the status, sender, receiver of the notification, 2. view the actual content of the notification, 3. Resend the notification)
Few options I have explored are below. Need experts advice please
1. Enterprise Manager gives the option to check each notification status and option to resend the message. I have two problems with this option
     a) It does not solve my requirement of 'viewing the content of the message'. It does not show what is the actual message content. though we can see other notification details like sender, receiver etc...
     b) users does not want to go to enterprise manager. They need a separate UI based on ADF.
2. Tried to build a UI based on UMS EJB API and UMS WebService API. Both the APIs provide the operations to check the status of the message. But there is no API that returns the actual content of the message
     a) It does not solve my requirement of 'viewing the content of the message'. Both the APIs does not expose any operation to retrieve the message/message content. I see AccessPoint as one options but, In my      case, Application need to track the messages sent to all the users, not particular address.
     b) There is no operation exposed to resend the message. Not sure how it is being done through enterprise manager.
3. Tried by directly accessing the ORASDPM schema of UMS to fetch the content of the message. found that the content of the message is stored in 'MESSAGE_OBJECT' Blob column of 'MESSAGE' table.
     Built an ADF application based on ORASDPM schema. Following issues:
     a) could not parse the BLOB column data. Tried using a blob converter which converts the stream to text. but the conversion is not happening properly.
     b) Need to figure out how to resend the message.
My environment: Oracle 11g , JDeveloper 11g Release 1 11.1.1.6.0

I am facing a strange issue, after server restarts getting bulk BPM eMail notifications for all pending and in-progress notifications..where to control this.
Also I couldn't able to see Cancel Delegate Revoke buttons after task opened, I did configuration for these buttons..

Is there a way to change the BPM automated email notifications such that it sends a batch notification email out every day (or some other time interval) instead of one email per task change?
