BPM-Raise Exception does not work
I have designed the BPM in following way.
1. Receive step - Receive Asynchronous message
2. Defined the Block - DB
3. Send step 'A' to JDBC - inside the Block-'DB' - Acknowledgement-Transport, Exceptions System Error-DB, Receiver from-Send context.
4. Created an exception handler and Selected 'DB' as exception handler for the property of the exception handler branch.
5. Inserted the Send step-'B' to send mail inside the exception handler branch by using the MAIL receiver adapter.
We want send the message to update database by using JDBC adapter but if it fails to update database then we want send an e-mail to outlook.
But it looks like it is not working when it fails to update database.
Can someone please help me?

According to the SAP online help documentation for the receiver JDBC adapter:
<i>The receiver JDBC adapter supports system acknowledgments but not application acknowledgments.</i>
What you will need to do is either get a system error triggerred by the adapter (which basically throws up the red flag and tells XI that the message could ot be delivered successfully) , or get the application to trigger a fault message back to the adapter. I have not worked with the JDBC adapter, so I cant tell you in more detail.

PI 7.11 - Alert creation for RFC Exceptions does not work
Hi folks!
In our PI 7.11 SP04 system we have created an Alert Category as well as an Alert Rule to be informed about errorneous messages in the Integration Engine (ABAP).
The scenario is synchronous SOAP Axis to sRFC, where the RFC answers with an exception that is transferred to a SOAP Fault response message.
Now we see messages with Application Errors in the Integration Engine, but no alert is created. Having a look at the alert creation log using report SXMSALERT_LOGREADER shows us that the system even does not try to create an alert for these messages. Alerts are only created for errors in the Adapter Engine.
Question:
Why does the system not create alerts in this case and how can we achieve this?

Additional information for all:
When forcing an error like "receiver not found" both kinds of alerts are created: AE Alert and IE Alert. Thus in general the alert configuration and the alert rule for IE errors are correct and working - only not for RFC exceptions ....

Raise form_trigger_failure does not work in when-timer-expired trigger

i create timer (no repeat) in when-validate-item trigger for an item then in timer i use raise form_trigger_failure for not posting related item.but raise form_trigger_failure not work in timer and cursor go next item ? do you say anything for that ? thanks..when your validation runs ok, then and only then you should create the timer and in the WTE you navigate to the other item.
Think about: The WTE-trigger runs after the when-validate-item. It runs not within the WVI. That's the reason why you cannot cancel the WVI with the WTE.
Only the WTE can be stopped with the Form_Trigger_Failure. -
ADS does not work.(Service call exception)

According to SAP note 937697 "Usage of SAP NetWeaver BI Diagnostics & Support Desk Tools", when running the tool, it gives following error:
ADS does not work.(Service call exception; nested exception is: com.sap.engine.services.webservices.jaxrpc.exceptions.InvalidResponseCodeException: Invalid Response Code: (401) Unauthorized. The requested URL was:"http://sapbwd.ni.ad.newsint:50000/AdobeDocumentServices/Config?style=document")
I have been looking into system to find out how to solve the issue, but could not, is there anyone who can help me with exact instructions what I do need to do.

I would suggest you to check notes 1004321 and 944221. The first one says that mostly of this kind of issues (and I have already seen several ones) is caused for bad passwords for user ADSUSER or this account expired. The second note is a troubleshoot note you can also do.
You can also follow this procedure to check that:
Please open the Visual Administrator and browse to Server -> Services -> Security Provider -> Policy Configurations
In the Components tab you will see the service.destinations policy. Click on this and then click on the AccessDestinations security Role. Modify this and add the J2EE_ADMIN/Administrator user to this role and save.
Maybe the password is not set correctly as well. I think it worths to be set it again. First you have to identify where your ADSUSER maintained.
Go to http(s)://<SERVER>:<PORT>/useradmin search for ADSUSER If Datasource:
- LDAP -> check psw of ADSUSER in LDAP and enter it in SM59
- UME data -> check psw of ADSUSER in Visual Admin and enter it in SM59
- ABAP -> check psw of ADSUSER the ABAP system in the following client:
Visual Admin->UME Provider->Properties->ume.r3.connection.master.client
If you want, also, you can change the ADS by the SAP Export Library, as per SAP Note 1112132. It is very simple to activate and will bypass ADS, doing every function ADS does.

The raise to speak feature on Siri does not work anymore is there any possible fixes for this
I had the same problem (iPhone 5), but the fix was simple.
Turn off your Bluetooth. Yeah, I know this sounds crazy. Here's why.
When you use Siri with the "Raise to Speak" feature activated (Settings/General/Siri), this enables the proximity sensor that lets the iPhone know it is near your ear, activates Siri, and turns off the display.
However, if you are using a bluetooth headset (like I do), then this sensor is turned off automatically, because you will be speaking thru your bluetooth and not the iPhone to activate Siri and make calls.
To prove this, do the following test.
Make sure "Siri" is on, and "Raise to Speak" is on (Settings/General/Siri).
Turn off your Bluetooth (Settings/Bluetooth).
(TEST) Hold your phone in front of you, and with a natural motion, bring the phone to your ear (as if you are answering a call). Siri will automatically activate, assuming you want to ask it/her a question (very cool feature). And the screen will turn offautomatically.
If you have never used the "Raise to Speak" feature, this feature automatically activates Siri when you raise the phone to your ear (really a cool and helpful feature). It may take a little practice to get used to this. I struggled at first, but soon got the hang of using a natural motion to bring the phone to my ear. Starting with the phone in front of you, the phone should be "almost" parallel to the ground when it gets to your ear. It may take several practice tries to get it, but you will get it, and you will be hooked on this neat little feature.
Ok, with this done, this proves your proximity sensor is funtioning properly.
Now, turn on your Bluetooth (Settings/Bluetooth).
And repeat the same (TEST) above.
This time, Siri should not activate, and the screen should not go off. Why? This is because your voice communications with callers (and Siri), are now going thru your Bluetooth, and not the phone handset. Because of this, their is no need for the proximity sensor, so it is automatically turned off (when Bluetooth is on).
I can only speak for me and my situation, and what worked for me. However, their may be other issues regarding the proximity sensor separate of this that I am not aware of.

If I want to add a proxy settings '''only '''for local addresses I can not do this. In IE I only have to add "*.*" in the exceptions list, but in FireFox the symbol "*" does not work in this way. Is there another way to do that without typing every top domain in the exception list?

When my iphone 4 is not plugged in to headphones the sound does not work, and if I try to adjust the sound with the plus and minus buttons in the side it comes up like normal saying "Ringer" but then there is no bar underneath it. No. What he should be doing is syncing his contacts to an app on his computer or cloud service, then sync them back to the phone (without restoring the backup).
Never rely on the backup for contacts. The contact info stored there may be incomplete and is only meant to maintain the recent calls and favorites lists. -

I received a response from SAP about how to resolve this issue. I need to use the old way:
SUBMIT...RETURN to call another report with the PNP/PNPCE Logical Database.
That's the reason for use the LDB_PROCESS function module. (SUBMIT...RETURN uses too many memory and processor resources) Now I know that this function module does not work with HR Logical Databases because the Infotypes structures.

Any idea what went wrong?

Jan HempelI found the reason for this behaviour: it seems like that the if-statement ("IF h_part3 > h_sub") does not have its own conversion-functionality.
I changed my code by adding an explicit move-statement before the if-clause and that does the trick:

Validataion does not work in batch mode

We created an FI line item validation for transaction FBV1 that does a validation on a field and displays an error message if the validation fails. We have an RFC that uploads data from an Excel template and runs a BDC Call Transaction to upload and park the document. This worked well when we were on 4.6C but when we upgraded to ECC6.0, the Validation works fine when we manually call the FBV1 in SAP and the Validation DOES get triggered and displays a message if the line item validation fails but when we run FBV1 in batch mode, (RFC which contains a call transaction to FBV1) the validation does not work.
I set up break a point in the generated program GBTBOFID where the exception error gets triggered and traced the FI Validation. The program will not display the error Validation message when run in batch but when run online, the error message gets triggered.Thanks for the prompt reply. I tryied a combination of the following options and did not have much luck with this one.

After the call transaction the program automatically triggers some SAP generated code for a Validation check for FBV1 line item that we have put in through IMG. The message that should be displayed is in the FI validation check of FBV1.
I put a break point in the SAP generated code for the Validation where the message should be displayed. The program executes the statement that should raise the exception and display the message. As soon as the statement is executed, conrol returns to the the the SAP transaction FBV1 program and the program continues to finish.

"Raise to Speak" not working on iPhone 4s
I got my Iphone 4s today. Everything works fine except for the "Raise to Speak" feature. I have it turned on in the Siri settings but there is nothing that I can do to get Siri to start when I raise the phone to my ear. Really frustrating. I have been on the phone with Apple's support and so far nothing that they proposed worked. We tried rebooting the phone, turning the phoe off and on again, and turning the raise to speak setting on and off. Anybody having the same problem?
I think I got it to work fine now. Everything depends on the kind of moviment you do to raise your phone to your ear. If you have your arm straight down and move the phone to your ear it does not work. It works with shorter moviments. I hold the phone in front of me as if I am reading the screen with my arm bended in 90 degrees. I bring the phone to the ear and it works like a sharm every time.
How did I founf that out? I went to the Apple store and I was able to see that everybody was having dificulty with using the feature. We tried several phones and it seemed to work randomly. After spending a lot of time behaving like an idiot moving the phone up and down thousands of times I sat down and it started to work much better. That was when I realized that it was working better because I was not moving the phone from all the way down but from much closer to my chest.
Now some important information. First, the raise to speak feature works from any screen that is on, even from active application screens. For example, when reading a message, I raised the phone to my ear and it worked fine. At the apple store, some of the apple advisors thought that it would only work if you were already in the Siri screen, which is not true.
Second, I have to say that I actually got my phone replaced just in case it was a hardware issue. However, I tried the new phone still using the long moviments and the raise to speak feature would not work. I changed to the short moviment I described before and everything worked fine. I am convinced that it is not a hardware problem.

"HP laserjet professional utility" does not work in osx 10 (Yosemite)
All the major functions of this printer work fine in Yosemite, but not the "HP laserjet professional utility"The driver shown in System Preferences/Printer for my Laserjet P1606dn is version 6.9 (I am unable to knowif this is the version provided by the latest HP printer update, which was installed via the App Store.) I note this exact issue was raised for OSX7 in November 2014, but for a diiferent model printer. My printer is on my local wifi network, and that earlier case seemed to invove a direct USB connection. The solution offered in that thread, 4694464,may not be applicable now, so I seek advice In the panel for my 1606dn within System Preferences/Printer offers a button to launch the "HP Professional Utility", but when clicked an app launches called the "HP Professional Utility" but then nothing. I am trying to access the printer controls that will keep it from turning itself off when idle, and the documentation says the "HP Professional Utility" will allow that change. Please advise

First make sure the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet and not a surge protector. If the printer is connected with an ethernet cable to a router then you may be able to do this instead:On the printer hold down the button that looks like a sheet of paper with an arrow on it for about ten seconds. This should print out a report.On your Mac open a browser and enter the printer's IP Address in your Address bar exactly as it appears on the page. When you are finished click on enter/return.This will open the printer's Embedded Web Server. In here you may be able to find some options to adjust the power save settings.If the above does not work then this troubleshooting may assist you with the utility:Go to Applications, and if you have it open the Hewlett-Packard folder.Run HP Uninstaller to remove any existing software from you system.On the Mac go to the Apple icon and Sytem Preferences.Open Printers and Scanners.Hold down the Command key and click on the picture of your printer on the left.Click on Reset Printing System.Go to Applications and Utilities.Open Disk Utility.Click on Macintosh HD on the left.Click on Verify Disk Permissions. I have a 2008 iMac which had Leopard initially and I have upgraded to each new OS without a hitch. I downloaded "Mavericks" and began the install, it asked me for my "Admin Password" which I have never ever used since I set the Mac up, I have it safely tucked away so entered it, it rejected it each time. Am sort of lost now, as if my "Admin P/W" does not work here can I go from here?
I have seen many others with this problem but so far most of the solutions seem to be for the "log in" or "User" password not the Admin one.
I am running Mountain Lion successfully.
I have my original disks as supplied and also a Snow Leopard install disk.
I have seen some info about fixing this via Lion Recovery partition which I must have due to using Mt Lion.
How can I repair this situation.

I have visited both the sites you listed but it seems to me that the solutions mentioned are to fix the User or log in p/w's.They do not seem to refer to the admin one again.
I understand about it being just like other user accts but the fixes do not really refer to it only the above two.
I have no problem booting up my Mac, I do not use a log in p/w so my problem is with the Admin p/w that was set up back in 2008. This is what I need to reset etc.
I am quite confused over these pw's as to just what is what and I need to make sure I understand all before I get into deeper trouble following these links.
This Admin p/w that was set up has never been used and is the only p/w I have except for my Apple ID. All previous upgrades only required my user name log in which has no p/w set up.
I hope you can follow me here butI have read so much on this it is becoming very confusing about whcih p/w's are what. -
Select All in a table does not work for Drag and Drop
Hi. I am using Jdeveloper 11.1.1.2 but have also reproduced in 11.1.1.3.
I am trying to implement drag and drop rows from one table to another. Everything works fine except when I do a Select All (ctrl-A) in a table, the table visually looks like all rows are selected, but when I try to click on one of the selected rows to drag to the other table, only the row I click on is dragged.
I tried setting Range Size -1, fetch mode to FETCH_ALL, content delivery to "immediate" but nothing works.
I even have reproduced not using a view object but just a List of beans with only 5 or 10 beans showing in the table.
Does anyone know how to get Select All to work for a Drag Source?
