BT Activation date (account upgrade)

Good Afternoon,
A friend of mine are getting BT broadband tomorrow and was wondering, what time it gets activated.
If it helps their line has always been with BT and they are not switching provider as their calls package is with BT, they are just getting broadband put in (on the same line).

as you are aware this is a customer help customer forum and your post does not go to BT. activation of the upgrade will happen when it happens there is nothing you can do to speed it up. surely can still do conference with existing connection

How do you query activity data for accounts?

I need to extract account activity data. When I try to use the Activity WSDL it doesn't seem to provide any account information even though I do see fields like AccountId, AccountName. They are blank. Also it looks like there is way to do a activity query using the Account WSDL. Does anyone have an example of this?
We are using Release 18 with V2 WSDL.

I'm not sure what you mean by XML string but I'm trying to extract to CSV file using this code. It provides activity data but looks like account information fields are blank.

Co3 error activation date has passed

Hi all I'm having problems with vision everytime i reboot the box that was delivered yesterday i get the c03 error i tried calling call centre there usless keep saying i promise it will come on it takes time but my activation date has now pass im starting to wish i never left virgin now any ideas how i can watch tv

Hi,
1. A C03 error means your Vision account has not been set up correctly at BTs end.
2. A c02 error means the box tried to upgrade its software and failed. This 99% probably happened because of point 1.
Get the Mods on it. They are very helpful.

Activation date just came, and went..

Hi all,
It's kind of ironic that I decided to come back to BT because I had had enough of Sky. Being increasingly disgruntled with the service that Sky was providing over the last year (I had both line rental and Broadband with them), I literally couldn't wait to leave and come back to BT. So, I signed up with BT on Jan 1st (Through Return to Donor). I wanted to take my phone number with me. I then phoned up Sky a couple of days later and cancelled. At this point, Sky put the cancellation date for January 13th, but my BT activation date was 17th Jan (I think her name was Emily at BT who told me that, and who advised me to get Sky not to cancel on that date, otherwise I would have to pay a connection charge).
I phoned Sky and got them to change the date (After a lot of pushing). BT changed the date to 21st January for activation and so the cancellation date with Sky was also January 21st. So here I am, expecting my Sky Line Rental and Broadband to stop today, and BT to provide the phone service (With me signing up for Broadband once I get paid at the end of the month). I phoned up multiple times prior to today to make sure that there were absolutely no problems. The guy I talked to yesterday said: "There are no problems, sir. Everything is going smoothly with the transfer." I was awake at 8am today, and around 9am, the broadband and phone stop working. Sitting there, I'm expecting the phone to start working sometime soon. 10am comes and goes. 1pm comes and goes. 5pm comes and goes. You get the picture. It's now 9.19pm and no service. But that's not what's irritating me. What's starting to annoy me is that BT have disconnected me on the agreed date as they told me to make in relation to Sky, but haven't reconnected me. And judging by other peoples' stories, that means I'll have to pay a connection charge when I'm not at fault and I did everything that I was asked to do. Also, I dread to think what will happen in relation to the phone number that I've had for a long time.
The phone number to call is 0800 800 150 if you're not connected by 8pm. Since that's long gone, I'll be phoning in the morning. What would you guys advise doing? Get out now? My father had the same problem - He phoned regularly to make sure there were no problems until the day itself, and still got blessed with no working phone line. It took him over 2 months to sort it out, and I'm at University so can't afford to take so long, nor do I have the money to correct problems where I'm not at fault. I'm actually thinking of cancelling the order - Is that possible? Even though I placed the order on Jan 1st, and activation was supposed to be today (21st Jan), no service is being provided.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

ActiveSync mail/contacts/calendars removed after Active Directory account is locked out?

Wondering if anybody has seen an issue like this. This is a new Exchange 2010 deployment (8+ CAS servers) and the devices are all iPhones/iPads running the latest version of iOS (7.1.2). The CAS servers are behind a load-balancer.
Basically when a users' Active Directory account is Locked in AD (either manually or by entering the wrong password) their ActiveSync Contacts, Calendars and all Mail folders (except the Inbox strangely!) will be removed from the iOS device within a few hours. So an account might get locked out at say 6pm, if left locked out by the next morning the ActiveSync account will still be setup on the device as normal, but everything is gone except the mail in the Inbox. If a user has an iPad and iPhone both will be blanked.
The behaviour is similar to what is documented here - iOS: How to mitigate a full sync or reload of Exchange account data - however the Exchange servers are not issuing HTTP500 errors as we have captured logging during the window where the device blanks itself.
Any thoughts would be appreciated!

which event ids are shown in the event viewer from the DCs? Or maybe locally also some errors are locked that give some more details.

BT activation date confirmed and changed 4 times! ...

Back in November last year I had placed an order to move my services (phone and BT infinity 2 at the time) to my new home (new build) and asked for an activation date of 22 December. At the time I paid for line rental for onw year in advance, which I now regret.
Shortly thereafter I started receiving messages and calls from BT stating that my services activation would be delayed and a date of Jan 26 2015 was eventually confirmed. As this date approached, I then got a message that the activation date had actually moved to May 22! Convinced it was an error of some sort (it also appeared on my account information online), I called BT and was assured that it would be much earlier than that but that they could not confirm when at the time. I called again later and it was eventually revealed to me that my current order was not progressing and they would open another.So, I had another order created with a potential activation date of Jan 30, but I was assured that they would try to fast track it. This was around Jan 15.
Time went by and I eventually received calls/messages/emails stating that a Jan 26 date was indeed confirmed for an engineer visit. The 26th came and nobody showed up. I called the next day, and the staff were apologetic about the situation and explained that it was an Openreach issue and that some work was still ongoing to get my services activated. I replied as I had before that many people in my street already had phone and broadband so surely the area was covered (the online coverage checker states that I can get BT infinity 2...). In the end a date of Jan 29 was again confirmed and I asked specifically if they were sure they could make it this time - I was assured that it would be the last slippage.
Sadly, it was not to be. Just yesterday I received a call saying that my service was again delayed and as such I would have to choose another activation date - the earliest offered being Feb 5. The reasons were again to do with Openreach not fulfilling their end of the bargain, and the fact that I was in a "bronze" zone. I replied that I was loosing count of how many times my activation date had been moved and re-confirmed, but was again assured that this would be the last time...
So now, I wait for Feb 5. I am considering cancelling my services with BT altogether but unsure of whether I would get my line rental saver payment back if I do so.
If a mod checks this and is willing to help, I would very appreciative. Thank you.

I am trying to start the BAM services, all other services are getting started except 'Active Data Cache'.

I encountered the same problem. In my case, the reason was that I created a new user for BAM (to be provided when installing BAM) but ran the installation under another user account. It seems like these users must be the same to make it work.

Error while Enabling Active Data Cache Clustering Services: error 1753

I have installed the Oracle BAM with Enterprise link.All the installation was successful.But while Enabling Active Data Cache Clustering Services using the following command:

I encountered the same problem. In my case, the reason was that I created a new user for BAM (to be provided when installing BAM) but ran the installation under another user account. It seems like these users must be the same to make it work.

All of my SQL Server instances are sql server 2008r2 standard edition(10.50.2500). MDW is existing database, I try to setup collection sets for multiple instances and store data in one central MDW database
I create MDW in one instance, then run run configure Management Data Warehouse in target intance. collection sets were created successfully, but job failed with following error:
Executed as user: COCAD\INTDEPT01SQLAgentC10. The Management Data Warehouse version "00.00.0000.00" is not supported by the current data collector. Please upgrade the Management Data Warehouse by running the Management Data Warehouse Configuration
Wizard. Process Exit Code 5. The step failed.

During preprocessing phase (phase ACT_UPG) we got many DDIC activation errors such as:

We have searched the SDN, many posts say that we have to just activate them. But my question is where - in source system OR in Shadow system?
We assumed it is Source system (please correct if it is wrong), unlocked the system and logged in as normal user and tried to activate the Data Element. Now, it says "Search Help /BI0/OICH_AT is not active or contains no parameter".   How to go about it?
If it is Shadow System, how can i unlock the system?

Dear Mohan,
There are search helps configured for the dataelements in ACTUPG.ELG. These search helps were created by mistake by the system.
The search helps can be deleted manually in the shadow instance.
In this case you should remove these fields in se11 (in your shadow instance) as the Search help shouldn't exist.
You should do this step for all data elements shown in the log ACTUPG.ELG:
For example: SE11 -> /BI0/OICH_AT -> Change -> Tab "Further characteristics"
1. Goto SE11:
2. Select Data type and fill "/BI0/OICH_AT" and display
3. Select the tab "Further Characteristics" and
4. Remove the values for fields "Name" and "Parameters"
   then click on icon "Activate"
Please do the same for the other object.
But before performing above steps you need to unlock the shadow instance by the following command:
SAPup unlockshd <SID>
(if using SAPup)
SAPehpi unlockshd <SID>
(if using SAPehpi)
Also do not forget to lock the shadow system again after performing the steps and continuing the upgrade by the following command:
SAPup lockshd <SID>
(if using SAPup)
SAPehpi lockshd <SID>
(if using SAPehpi)
You can logon to your shadow system with any different user than DDIC.

Moving date is before activation date

I am moving on the 26th of the month but my new activation date is not till the 30th due to the house we are moving to, not being disconnected from their provider till that day.
A Pain but not a problem.
The question I have is, where we are moving from will have our old number (and account as we are not taking the phone number with us) for about 4 days.
Presumably they could run up a massive bill in that time that we would be charged for?
Is that the case?

Powershell Active Directory Account Expiration Script

I am putting together a script that creates a user account in AD, sets the password, adds groups, etc. The part I am having problems with is when the user selects the Contractor employee option and is prompted for the expiration date of the AD account.
The script will create the account, but the expiration date is not set in AD. Any suggestions?

As expected no Vision on Activation date

When I got BT Total Broadband it went wrong, couldn't instal it and so on, but been with it for a few months and wanted a TV service, was going to get Virgin Media but decided I would give BT the benefit of the doubt that I could get vision without any problems.
Ordered it on the 16th with an Activation date of 19th January, checked online the date had changed to 21st January, check a few days later and the order had been cancelled and a new order opened on 22nd with an activation date of 28th January 2011.
I specifically contacted Customer Care asking about what date it would be working etc and told there was some problems but it would definitately be working on the 28th.
I got the box early morning, set it up and it came up with a CO3 error message, followed the instructions then it still didn't work, so I phoned up the helpline, was told you will have to wait till midnight for it to be activated. I said you sure it will work, and told yes its definately showing as it will be activated by midnight. I had doubts then and said it, but was given assurances its all right.
And guess what, after midnight and as expected the service is not working.
There is no reason why it isn't working, Broadband has been working for months now, so they can't say the line needs to stabalise, it has been confirmed twice it would work on the day, and yet, it doesn't.
Its really sloppy order processing and customer service, you want people to take out a service, but can't even provide it, I'm not happy at all.

No Activation, date passed- no info, no good

I'm (well, my Dad) is having trouble setting up his new BT Vision. He was told the activation date would be Tuesday just gone (30th July), but this was later changed to the Thursday, so to help with the set up I took a day off work, only to be texted on the morning to be told they would not be activating that day after all, and they would inform him of any news. He has since recieved one text saying there are problems, and that is all. No information as to what the problem is, how this will be rectified etc, and no joy when he has tried to e-mail or phone. He lives in the central Durham area, does anyone know what the problem is around there as its quite upsetting for him
