BT Mobile - Problem with Erroneous Credit Score an...

I have been a BT Customer for 35 years and have always paid my bills on time. I have a monthly direct debit for my landline and Broadband and have just added BT Mobile to my account. I have to say that I should have paid more attention when setting up BT Mobile online as it did flag through the process that there would be a cap of £50 spend outside the monthly plan and that roaming would be turned off. On receipt of the confirmation email on 2nd April this limit to my account was restated and was put down to my credit score. I called BT on the 2nd and was told that this was not a problem and the limits could be changed once the service had started. The service commenced on 8th April and on entering MYBT I am able to increase the monthly cap to £100 (not that i want or need to). However, the real issue I have is that I cannot activate Mobile Roaming. My account is flagged (Sorry, but you can’t use your phone abroad at the moment. You need to be a BT Mobile customer for six months first and have paid all your bills on time).
I rang BT on 10th April to find out what the problem is and was told that it was my credit score and there was nothing that could be done to change what had been done. I was told that I would need to find out for myself what adverse information was held by Equifax who BT use. After paying £14.95 to Equifax for a full report and credit score I found that my credit score is 527 which is deemed to be excellent against the UK average score of 380, and there is absolutely no adverse information whatsoever which is of no surprise to me. So what on earth are BT looking at. I have tried in vein to get somebody in BT to check my file as there must be an error. I suspect that when I applied on line the process is automated and the system has made a mistake. Rather than investigate my case I am just being told nothing can be done to let me use my phone whilst abroad. After several hours on the phone to various people over a few days I have come up against a brick wall.
Is there anyway a moderator could help me please. If I had known that I would encounter this I would not have signed up for BT Mobile and Ported my number which I would be loathe to loose.      

it may well be nothing to do with your credit score, but more to do with bt internals
ie: I purchased a new second hand car last year (December), my bank who i have been with for over 10 years, have a current loan with (that ends this year) and have had previous loan with, never been overdrawn, wages paid in each month and bills paid on time said I could not have a loan and if they did offer one it would be at a very high interest rate (i am still waiting to fine out from them why), even though I got a loan through another company at a very good deal, I upgraded my 3 accounts with EE from T-Mobile in December and January which all required a new credit check went through without issues (and they offered me another line on my contract on Sunday, saying that my credit rating is perfect) . My credit rating from experian when I checked (because of my bank) was Green and in Excellent condition.
The only thing I know was 11 years ago I got in financial debt (the bank purchased the debt from another company, but I paid everything off by scrimping and scraping for a number of years) - it may be that they are still using against me, but every other company has said they find nothing wrong with my rating, but what I have heard is that they reset ratings every month, so you may be fine to get something on the 1st of the month, but if applied on the 2nd they would refuse it.

    Each time that you add or change your credit card details on your iTunes account a small temporary store holding charge may be applied to check that the card details are correct and valid and that it's registered to exactly the same name and address as on your iTunes account - it should disappear off your account within a few days or so.

     I recently tried to buy skype credits with a credit card but it failed several times. I am sure that the amount on the card is enough for my purchase
    and also the information I'm sending is correct. There must be something else. 
     I am from Bulgaria and my credit card is from bulgarian bank. Is there a problem with that? I heard that some skype-credit features are not supported in some countries.

    Ditto. We use paysafecards to hopefully refrain from entering too much personal info.
    Though with this unlimited thing that we have to do in order to buy credit is a hassle and also defeats all purpose of using the paysafecard service.
    Ahwell, time to find another way to contact relatives who lives far away untill they change this bad policy.

  • Google mobile problem with 3G S

    When I use the Google mobile app with the 3G S, it doesn't always activate the voice search when I put it up to my face. I don't recall having that problem with my original iPhone. Anyone else having this problem?

    I find it has to be a definite move to your ear. Move too smoothly and it won't trigger the voice search.
    Also, check the Google app settings (the button at the bottom right). "Screen Rotation" is supposed to be set to OFF. "Turning on Screen Rotation disables motion sensing for voice search."

    You don't say what the problem is with your card.   If your card will not accept the charges, perhaps it is maxed out or suspended, then it would not be acceptable to Apple.   I am pretty sure that Apple would clear cards and credit levels before accepting an account with you.  
    I also believe Apple does not take PayPal.
    If the first situation is close to yours then you will have to find an alternate means of setting up an account.

    I've been having problems with the iTunes store lately. It tells me that I owe iTunes $1.04, even though I have over $8 in store credit left. When I try to pay the outstanding balance, nothing happens. Also, I saw something strange on the bottom of the form for editing my payment info: there is a checkbox that says: MXEditAddressWizard.OutstandingBalance: $1.04 [x]

    Hello , I have just had this popup at the bottom of my account page.
    I could not purchase anything as me card had expired but I had previously purched the game AIRPORT MANIA, but this had not shown on my account.
    So I left the MXEDITADDRESS WIZARD ticked, and clicked apply.
    It then said that I had purched the above Airport Mania.
    So I assume that somewhere the game has its name incorrectly stored and thinks its MXEDITADDRESS WIZARD.
    Weird.

    Hi! I'm paying the Adobe CC plan for about 5 or 6 months, but the last month i have a trouble with the Credit Card and the auto payment of the Adobe CC was not completed. I have now restored the Credit Card and when i wanted to update the credit card info in order to continue paying for this product it says the card is invalid.
    Please help, because in two days more i going to lose the subscription and i need the program for the University.

  • Hearing problems with Skype credit phone calls

    Am using Skype on an iphone4.  When I make Skype credit calls to landlines or mobile phones I can hear the people on the other end well but they often complain that they can hear me just barely or really poorly.  The Skype microphone setting is  on ON.  
    If it were my wifi connection then I should also have problems hearing the other party but I don't.

    I think Skype is sitting in US pretty comfortably. It was the first VoIP company, now there are hundreds of them. So, being unable to keep in pace with normal rivalry the pioneer company continued business nevertheless...

    The problem is that Flex does not take the correct bitmap if i run my app at 240DPI or at 320DPI (as does the class MultiDPIBitmapSource)and my splash screen is scaled and grainy! :-(
    Can anyone help me?

    Hi Francesco,
    Setting the application dpi shouldn't affect the splash screen (you can verify by testing when you don't set the app dpi or by debugging the function).  The dpi that gets passed in to the imageClass should always be the runtime dpi.
    I see that in your MultiDPISplashScreen class extends CustomSplash instead of the SplashScreen.  Maybe that could be the issues, where does CustomSplash come from?
    Edit:
    The issue seems to be that in the SplashScreen class we don't undo the automatic dpi scale factor when the scaleMode="none" (the default).  When this is combined with different images per dpi, this will cause the observed behavior.  Setting scaleMode to any other value should fix the issue.
    If you need to have the image centered and not scaled, then you may follow the work-around posted by Uggers at the end of the thread (bottom of the page) at http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flex/articles/mobile-skinning-part2.html#articlecontentAdobe_n umberedheader_5

    We have scorecard  with 4 contexts (region).Every context has 3 level: perspective ,objective KPIs. Every level get score and all the context get total score .We have requirement to compare between  region context scores. For it we use comparison view. BUT AT comparison  view  we can compare the score of perspective ,objective KPIs but not total score of the context .Total score is disappear.  I don’t know if there is bug or it's a problem of implementation. I very glad to get help from us.

    I do not believe its an implementation problem, I have checked our implementation which is currently running SSM 10.1 sp03  and the context score doesn't appear neither in the comparison view.
    Probably this feature is simply not included yet in this sp. Maybe another colleague can confirm if this feature is included in further sps... but I didn't find any release note mentioning it, and according to a screenshot I just saw (posted by Colin Cooper on the ideas place), it doesn't seem to be included in sp06 (see Colin's screenshot of comparison view without context scores showing).
    In the main time try to work around it, maybe creating a new level (perspective) thats called "context xxx score" and put the rest of the scorecard one level under it, even though it doesn't sound very purist, you should be able to compare all context scores on the comparison view tab.
