BT say i don't have an email account even though i...

Spent hours on the phone trying to sort this mess out and nobody seems to do a thing about it. This is my last chane at getting it sorted before i contact Sky and get my products from them,
I have been a BT Broadband customer for 10 years , i couls manage my account through Yahoo , change payment details etc , everything ran perfectly.  Now everytime i phone up or try logging into my BT account , nobody can find my broadband account at all. I want to add BT sport to my tv but can't because nobody can find a broadband account in my name , even though BT take £30 a month off me . When i log onto my BT account all i get is the details of my land line.
I am utterley fed up and unless i get the situation resolved i am just going to move over to Sky and let them try and sort out this sorry mess.
I have wasted hours on the phone talking to people at BT who don't seem to give a **bleep**. I have been a very loyal customer to BT and i am rapidly running out of patience.

It sounds like you have an older package which needs to be re-aligned.

    Restart your phone, and if you can connect it to a computer and update it from iTunes instead of through wifi.

    In general, I am getting really frustrated with Apple.  They seem to be getting ever more controlling in their approach to their consumers.  I need to edit music file information as I am a dj.  And why can't I import music, unless I buy it from iTunes?  Most of all, why can't I use the devices I paid a lot of money for in the way I want to use them, and not be forced to coerced to use apple's fee paying services (iCloud, iTunes).
    I have used apple computers since the early 1990's, but in the last year I have gotten rid of my iPhone and my iPad and replaced them with Android devices.  Much better and much less control.  Perhaps it is time to switch from Apple altogether.

    Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
    One thing is the memory, and another thing is the hard disk space. You are telling me that you have 200 GB of free space on the hard disk, but the App Store is telling you that you have to install 2 GB of memory or more on your Mac if you want to upgrade to OS X Mountain Lion.
    First of all, open  > About this Mac > More Info, and copy "Model Identifier" here, so we can know what Mac you have got and how much memory you can install.
    We recommend to buy the memory in OWC or Crucial (Crucial is cheaper and offers the same compatibility warranty as OWC) because you won't probably have any problem with the memory you buy there

    I have checked this on my device.  I see a Default account under Messages created outside of Mail will be sent from the default account.  There is an account selected, though it does not show my exchnage account.  If it is only an exchange accout, can that not be used for this?

    Troubleshooting notifications
    Push notifications require an active Wi-Fi or cellular connection. If you are not receiving notifications for a specific app, try these steps:
    Verify that the app supports notifications.
    After installing an app or restoring a backup to a different iOS device, open the app at least once to begin receiving notifications.
    If the app requires entering or logging in to an account, you will need to do this before receiving notifications.
    Check Settings > Notifications to ensure that the app is configured for notifications.
    If notifications do not appear only in the Notification Center, verify that the Notification Center setting for the app is enabled.
    If you are still unable to receive notifications and you are using a Wi-Fi connection, verify that the network or firewall is not blocking access to port 5223.

  • The icon moves on my toolbar and bookmarks and all are gone on that version. When I try to open Firefox from my email, it tells me I don't have the latest version, even though I've downloaded it about three times in the last two days. What's the deal?

    First I notice your icon was gone so I figured I'd moved it by mistake. I put it back, but most of my bookmarks were gone. I then noticed I had two icons, one on right side one on left of my Mac. Tried to download new version. Didn't work, went to preview? Weird. Tried the version that's for Yahoo. That seemed to work, my bookmarks were back, but today it says that's an old version and I must update if I want to open something from Firefox from my email. So I did and once again I had two icons on page. It has done this a couple times. So I'm going in circles. I've done nothing new to my less than 3-year-old iMac and have never had this problem or anything remotely like it before.

    Did you manage to get it working mine disappeared after I while I managed to download it but now my laptop/iTunes won't recognise my iPhone!

    I dunno if this will work for you but I had the same issue today and had to redo what I did about two weeks ago.
    I went to "Settings" then to "General" and scrolled all the way done to "Reset"
    I didnt do a reset that erased data, just the ipad settings.
    I had to re-enter all my wifi stuff but after trying to log back into facetime it worked fine.
    It's a pain in the arse (second time I've had to do this in a couple of weeks) but it worked for me, Good Luck

  • My Mac says I don't have permission to install the new Firefox software though I am the administrator.

    I've been unable to download Firefox updates or install Firefox versions higher than 3.6.8 over the top of the 3.6.8 version. I get an error message, saying I don't have permission to do so though I am the administrator of this computer. At one time, I mistakenly had two admistrator accounts and I think this is the core of the problem. In any case, I am unable to update or download newer Firefox versions (very frustrating). I'm running OSX 10.6.7 on an intel-based MacBook.

    * Trash the current Firefox application to do a clean (re-)install.
    * Install the new version that you have downloaded.
    Your profile data is stored elsewhere in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder], so you won't lose your bookmarks and other personal data.

    Make sure you are checking the email address you used to set up your iCloud account.  Check the spam/junk folder as well as the inbox.  If it isn't there, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage your Apple ID, sign in, click on Name, ID and Email addresses on the left, then to the right click Resend under your Primary Email Address to resend the verification email.

    You'll have to delete more data from the device. 
    Go to Settings>General>Usage to see how much "Storage" you have available on the device.  (Ignore storage on icloud, since that is not part of the equation.)

    Go to Settings>General>Restrictions>Accounts (near the bottom) and set this to Allow Changes.  You will then be able to access Settings>iCloud again.

    I have downloaded every update and my battery life is better than any previous iPhone I have ever owned. I see posts from hundreds of people every day, and this is not a commonly reported problem. He doesn't have an email account of his own, I can't seem to save it as a public document in a drop box like I can from my own login and we do not want to use iwork.     Save the document from his account to an external drive or thumb drive.
    Set the permissions (using Finder > Get Info) for "Everyone" to Read and Write.
    Your DS will likely be the owner of the file, so you may need his login password to change the permissions.
