Budget Committment - for Procurement Contracts

Dear All,
The requirement is to commit budget when the contract is created in procurement. I have followed all the configurations steps defined in IMG > Integration > Integration Materials Management > Contracts > Define Integration Scenarios. But when I create a contract the system is not committing budget. I create the contract after PR is created which reference to PR.
Could you please advice the process and steps that needs to be followed.
Best regards
Abishay Solomon

Dear all,
I have done the necessary IMG and have successfully created a stock material contract with commitment plan.
However, I encounter problem on creating a contract for service procurement with commitment plan.
I tried to input the Service item (Item category set to ‘D’ Service) in contract creation (ME31K) with below account assignment options, but both are failed to proceed to the commitment plan screen.
Option 1: Account Assignment is left blank, system prompts two errors:
ME017 - Item category D can only be used with account assignment category
MECP010 - Item 00010: Maintain material no., acct assignment cat., or commitment plan
Option 2: Account Assignment is set to ‘Unknown’, system prompts:
MECP009 - Account assignment for item 00010 already exists
How can I create a service contract with commitment?  Anyone can help on this?
PS: In OSS Note Note 1540826 - Commitment plan: Insert account assignment data in contract
“You are able to enter account assignment data for a contract item which has already a commitment plan maintained.
This is wrong. You should not be able to maintain account assignment data for a contract item which has an existing commitment plan.”
Does it mean commitment plan for purchase contract is applicable for “valuated stock material procurement”?  Anyone has workaround?
A.S.
Please advice if you have solved the problem and how SAP replies

Steven

  • Procurement Contracts: PO Output for Communication

    Hi All,
"PO Output for Communication" is a seeded report in Procurement Contracts, which generate the PO Report followed by Terms and Conditions of Procurement Contracts module. Our requirement is that we want to customize the PO Report in our client's format. After doing some research, I found that it is a java program which uses XML Publisher technology. Can anybody give me some idea how we can customize it?

  • How relate Procurement Contract and Purchase Order

    Hi!
We are going to use Oracle Procurement Contracts and Purchasing in Oracle Apps R12.1.3 version.
I think that modules have to work together.
We activated Procurement Contracts and profile "PO: Contracts Enabled"
We have in "Purchase Order" actions 'view Contract terms', and functionality to chose Contract template and clause, "Manage Contract Documents" - that all.
Can we create from it, or relate with this PO a real Contract, that we see in Contracts Workbench?
Edited by: DenisM on 20.02.2013 14:44

    Denis:
Use Oracle Contract Terms module as the module for defining contract templates and clauses. Once you define it in this module, the templates will be available in Oracle Purchasing.
I am not sure if the Contracts Workbench is integrated with Oracle PO. It was not in earlier versions but it maybe in 12.1.3. You may want to check on that.

  • Procurement Contract Terms

Can anyone explain the significance of using Procurement Contract Terms from the end-user perspective?I mean, when and why is it used? We have a case where the client has different terms and conditions with different vendors (mostly for different annual maintenance contracts). Can we attach these as templates(using Procurement Contracts) and get the output from seeded reports in Purchasing?
Any document reference, apart from throwing light on the above queries would be of immense help.
    thanx!!

    Hi
Procurement contract is basically a set of rules set by a company for his suppliers....In apps, basically it will go to supplier (note to supplier) as an attachment along with the PO through mail.
Please refer below link to understand what is a procurement contract
    http://www.wisegeek.com/what-is-a-procurement-contract.htm
    Your another query is :
We have a case where the client has different terms and conditions with different vendors (mostly for different annual maintenance contracts).
This can be handled by different terms and conditions templates/files, but to be honest we have never tried this option before.

  • Budget mandatory for earmarked fund

the funds managment module is made mandatory and activated. while accounting the expenses the system checks the buget avaialality and does not allow unitl the budget is available for a committment item.
i want to make the budget availablity mandatory even while raising the earmarked fund against the budget. i am able to raise earmarked fund even without any budget upload.
i want to know how to make budget mandatory for earmarked fund pleae.
    regards
    sathya

    Hi,
That's up to your update profile. Check whether earmarked funds are created as statistical updates; you can do it via OFUR transaction. Then, change it to be non-statistical for relevant value type (81, 65 or 82 - depending what earmarked funds - commitments or reservation - you are using).

  • Capture of bids for procurement and workflow in SRM

    Dear Gurus,
I am new to SAP. I would like to ask which functionality in SRM can do the following:
    1. Capture bids for procurement
    2. Use workflow to automate the evaluation and approval of the bids received (Matching bid price against budgeted cost)
    3. Use workflow to support the automatic routing of all submissions and evaluations for approvals in respect of u201CApproval to Negotiateu201D and u201CApproval to Awardu201D.
    4. Segregate bids that meet or are lower than the budgeted cost from those that are in excess, marking the latter in different colour
    5. Capture of all data, especially from the lowest bidder

    Hi,
All the functionalities are there in  the SAP Bidding Engine(Strategic sourcing)

  • ERP release for Central Contract Management with SRM 7.0 EhP 1

    Hi all,
i would like to have clarification with ERP and SRM release combinations regarding SRM 7.0 EhP1.
Indeed, the "Software Component Matrix for SAP SRM 7.0 EHP1", for Operational Contract Management, tells 'EHP 5 for SAP ERP 6.0 required'.
Moreover, in RKT dealing with SRM EhP1 delta overview, ERP 6.0 with EhP5 is mandatory for an upgrade to SRM7.01.
Nevertheless, i would like to have confirmation regarding this point.
We do not want to use PI to execute the Enterprise Services for CCM. So, we intend to switch BF SRM_WSRM_1 on.
But on the ERP side (EhP5), the only BF dealing with Contract Management is LOG_MM_P2PSE_2 which description is about Service Procurement (and more exactly for item hierarchies).
Does it mean we can use SRM 7.01 with ERP 6.0 EhP4 and without PI but only if we do not use Central Contracts with service hierarchies ?
    Thank you for your help.
    Regards.
    Laurent.

    Hi Laurent,
    Yes.
When Central contract was designed in SRM 7.0 with ERP EhP4, it was designed with no service hierarchy. But in SRM 7.01 Central contral was enhanced to handle service hierarchy and it works with ERP EhP5. The problem is when we have SRM 7.01 and ERP EhP4. To handle this complication SRM 7.01 was designed to send flat service lines to EhP4 and lower release even though Central contract in SRM has service hierarchy. So while transfering to ERP EhP4 system in standard, all outlines are not consider for transfer and only service lines (Functional items) are transferred to ERP. To do so user needs to maintain the backend destination information of the connected backend system in table BBP_BACKEND_DEST via SM30 transaction with correct system type (for EhP4 system it will be ERP_4.0 and for EhP5 ERP_5.0). SAP Standard program checks this while XML generation for transfer and if system type is ERP_4.0 system it removes all outlines from temp table before generating the XML data. When it is done, ERP has only service lines in its XML and it does the manupulation to create the replication of central contract.
Master Guide (Including Upgrade Information) - SAP SRM 7.01 states:
"The use of SAP NetWeaver PI is optional but it is required for outbound XML-based messaging or for connecting non-SAP planning or execution systems."
So service hierarchy is possible in SRM 7.01 and ECC 6.04 but only with PI. For other CCM functionalities, SRM 7.01 and ECC 6.04 without PI works fine.
    Best regards,
    Christian Zeuch

    Hiya...
    Billing Plan for Milestone Billing
Milestone billing means distributing the total amount to be billed over multiple billing
    dates in the billing plan.
As each milestone is successfully reached, the customer is billed either a percentage of
the entire project cost or simply a pre-defined amount.
During sales order processing, the system determines from the item category whether a
billing plan is required and, if so, which type of plan
The type of billing plan that is determined at this point is set up in Customizing and
cannot be changed in the sales document.
Billing plans for periodic billing and milestone billing plans for project-related milestone
billing have different overview screens so that you can enter data relevant to your
    processing.
For example, for milestone billing, you must be able to enter data to identify the
    individual milestones.
    IMG configuration requires :-
    1.  Maintain billing plan types for milestone billing in OVBO.
    2.  Define date description in SM30 - V_TVTB.
    3.  Maintain Date Category for Billing Plan Type IN OVBJ.
    4.  Allocate date category in SM30 - V_TFPLA_TY.
    5.  Maintain date proposal for Billing Plan Type in OVBM.
    6.  Assign Billing Plan Type to Sales Documents Type in OVBP.
    7.  Assign Billing Plan Type to Item Categories in OVBR.
    8.  Define rules for determining the date in OVBS.
Milestone billing is typically used for billing projects, such as plant engineering and
construction projects. Such projects often include a series of milestones that mark the
completion of different stages of the work. In the SAP R/3 System, milestones are defined
in a network along with planned and actual dates for the completion of work. The milestones
are also assigned to the billing dates in the billing plan.
Each milestone-related billing date is blocked for processing until the Project System
confirms that the milestone is completed.
Delivery-relevant order items for which a milestone billing plan applies are billed on the
basis of the requested delivery quantity and not on the total of the confirmed quantities.
The connection between the project and the sales document item is made in the individual
schedule lines of the item. Each schedule item can be assigned to a network in a project.
To display the project-related data for a schedule line, proceed as follows:
In one of the overview screens of the sales document, select
    1.  Item -> Schedule lines.
    2.  Mark the schedule line and select Procurement details.
The following figure shows an example of milestone billing where only the Contract have
    been billed :
    Order  Item  Turbine    100,000
    Billing Plan
Billing date Description    %  Value  Billing Block   Milestone   Billing Status
    01-10-94     Contract      10  10,000      -             x           x
    01-03-95     Assembly      30  30,000      x             x
    01-04-95     Maintenance   30  30,000      x             x
    01-05-95     Acceptance    30  30,000      x             x
    01-06-95     Final invoice ..    ..        x
    Network/Activities
    Milestone    Estimate      Actual
    Assembly     01-03-95      01-03-95
    Maintenance  01-04-95
    Acceptance   01-05-95
For each billing date in a milestone billing plan, you can specify whether the billing
    date is:
    1.  fixed
    2.  always updated with the actual date of the milestone
    3.  updated with the actual date of the milestone, if the date is earlier than the
planned billing date for the date
    Keep Sapping

  • Are Procurement Contracts MRP relevant ???

    Hi All,
This may seem like a very novice question but I could not find any detail pertaining to this on the net.
    1. Are Procurement Contracts MRP relevant ? If so what are the settings required.
    2. Whats the use of creating a procurement contract with reference to a Purchase Requisition ??
    Regards,
    Imran

    Hi
I hope you are referring to contract & not scheduling agreement.
If you have contract assigned in source list with fixed source checked & MRP indicator as MRP relevant, MRP would generate the PR with contract as source of supply.
Then you should have job running to conver the PR to PO for transaction ME59N with variant having "Contract" checkbox ticked.
This would ensure that PO is released against contract for the generated PR.
    I hope this helps.
    Thanx
    Prasad
