This url is invalid.

P.P.S. I filed a bug report, but the guy at bug "customer service" told me that he can't reproduce the bug. Well, i've repeated it under different options, and whenever i choose "Use any Java 1.4, or higher", i get the bogus url.
I just don't wanna others lose 2 hours of their time to figure out what the problem is. Is this is a bug, lets help the bug control people fix it.

I've read what you all have said about the buggy code that HTMLConverter creates. I used HTMLConverter to make my HTML code, and it looks just like what you've quoted, including the missing _0 in the codebase for downloading the Java Plug-In. But when I fix that manually in my HTML, it still doesn't prompt the user to download the new Plug-in! I know that my applet runs on a computer that has Java Plug-In 1.4.0 or higher installed, but if I uninstall the plug-in and then go to the link in IE again, all I get is the message "Done, but with errors." at the bottom of the IE window. If I move the mouse over the blank applet window, it says "load: class BathMine not found." But of course I know that it's there, since the applet runs fine if I then install the Plug-In and go to the same HTML page.
I've had this happen on computers running Win2000, IE 6, Win2000, IE5.5, and WinXP, IE 6.
Does anyone have any other ideas about what I might do to fix this other than just having a note on the page to people to download the proper plug-in?

Possible Bug In Application Import (LOV binding lost for columns in IR)

I've experienced strange behavior when after I imported application into APEX 4.1
What I have done:
1) Exported application from 4.0 - (db 11.1)
2) Imported application into different instance - APEX 4.1 (db 11.2) to different workspace (using diferent schema) and with different application ID - manually changed (original was 106 new was 206)
What happened:
In Interactive Reports columns that were displayed as "Display as Text (Based on LOV, escape special characters)" lost their link to appropriate LOV - so the field "Named List of Values" shows "- Select Named LOV -" instead of the LOV name, which was assigned there in original application I exported.
Also - Named LOV imported OK with application.
And If application was imported under same ID, this issues was not there. So it looks only related if application ID changes from exported app.
Any idea why such strange behaviour happens? Is it bug, if yes is there already fix for it?
I have two workspaces on same db instance and want to migrate application between them - this make things complicated.

this is bug# 10369735 which has been fixed in 4.1. It was a problem of the export in 4.0 which didn't include all the necessary information. See Copying or exporting an application - bug? LOVs not getting set in reports
So I think you have two options:
1) If you upgrade your existing 4.0 system to 4.1 you should be fine. If you now export your app all the LOV information will be included.
2) If you export from a 4.0 system and import it into a 4.1 system you have fix your LOVs once again and then you are fine.

Plug-in or app for creating slo-mo?
Last year I came across a bunch of YouTube clips demonstrating a plug-in or app for creating slow motion from regularly shot material - 24-30 fps. The plug-in or app was able to someone how extrapolate all the missing frames to get quite a spectacular slo-mo effect. I've lost the URL I thought I had so carefully saved.
I'm receiving a whole bunch of footage I have to edit into a film. The original shooting is erratic, sometimes good, sometimes quite unprofessional. I need to be able to manipulate the speed of the shots, slow them down or speed them up. The plug-in or app I remember would have been perfect.
Does this ring a bell for anyone? Any suggestions would be most appreciated...

Did I say 'spectacular'? I'd settle for modestly elegant, or even competent. You are absolutely right David B. I'm not looking to improve things like really bad exposure, noise, etc. But a pan that's two fast for the tempo of a sequence? ... a little slowing, a bit of 'smoothcam' and suddenly the shot looks 'professional' instead of amateur. I just did a couple of tests using only the speed control in the motion tab of FCP and was pleasantly surprised. Is the 'speed' control in the motion tab any different than the 'Change Speed' function (Command J)?
This is a feature film and they plan on a theatrical release. So something like Twixtor might be the answer for the best quality we can generate, given the limitations of the original media. But...
David H, if the only thing I'm really needing is very clean slow-mo (given the limitations of the original media), but not super super slow-mo, would the Optical Flow in Motion give me more-or-less the same quality as Twixtor? That would be pleasant.

I am running RoboHelp 10 on Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 64 bit OS.
WebHelp is appending characters to the end of the TOC entry's URL address. The characters "bc-n" where n is a number are being generated for all of the TOC Page Entries when I generate WebHelp output. We are exporting the HTML files for import into an application. The TOC Page Properties Link to: property does not contain the characters in RoboHelp.
We have standardized names defined for our application and the appended characters are not going to work in the application.

When I use the generated html output in IE10 Version 10.0.9200.16635 Update Versions: 10.0.7 (KB2846071) the characters show up in the URL when I hover the mouse over the TOC entry as shown in the screenshot below.

The two screenshots show that the Link to property does not have the characters "bc-7" but the URL address does.
Is there a setting or way to configure RoboHelp to prevent Robohelp WebHelp from generating and appending characters to the end of the URL address for TOC Entries?I have never known Rh add any characters so I think something else is at play here. Please open one of the sample projects and see what happens there. Click Open on the RoboHelp Starter page and then click Samples in the ribbon on the left.

BUG! Not system locale Filenames support for 32-bit applications error in Windows 8.1 x64.
All Windows x64 (XP,2003,2007,Vista,7,8) have no support for not system locale filenames|foldernames for all 32-bit applications. I think it is BUG!
For example, it is possible to read files|folders with French or Chinese in English locale windows installed, rename it, but it is not possible open it, edit or delete. (ERRORS: File not found OR Unknown format)
With using 64-bit programs no such problems. How does it works and how can I fix this? Is it problem with encoding in translating kernel instructions for 32-bit apps in x64 Windows OS's? Whether there are

How can install the Fractal Image plug-in into Firefox for Windows 7?
I have the plug-in necessary to view fractal images built with the now no longer Iterated Systems program "Fractal Imager." These are files with the .fif extension and the plug-in is needed to view them. The plug in I have is fully functional. The problem I am having is that I needed instructions on how to upload this plug-in into Firefox for Windows.
There has been a change in where Firefox searches for plugins and the plugins folder in the Firefox program folder is no longer scanned for plugins, so Firefox won't find them anymore if they are installed in the plugins folder instead of the "browser\plugins" folder that Firefox now scans.
You can set the plugins.load_appdir_plugins pref to true on the about:config page to make Firefox scan the "<install>/plugins/" directory for plugins like the WMP plugin (np-mswmp.dll).
You can alternatively move plugins from "<install directory>\plugins\" to "<install directory>\browser\plugins\" (create this folder when missing) to make Firefox find them again.

When you saw this dialog box, did you choose "Erase and Sync"?
If you did, your iPhone was erased, then your iTunes Library was transferred to it. If your iTunes Library was empty, your iPhone will be also.
Your previously purchased music, apps, books, and videos are still yours. You just have to download them again.

How to create an URL link for product cancellation using an FM

I have tried creating an external attachment i.e URL link for a workorder by triggering a custom FM by exporting business object type , order id ,realtion type , title and link with return parameter as a message .
But i'm not being able to create URL link for workorder using the custom FM.
Kindly please suggest some solutions regarding how the URL link can be created using an FM instead of manual creation.given that there can be a variety of reasons for something to crash, you can sometimes initialize a buffer by wiring a non-null data structure to the left terminal of the call library function node. for example, if the output is to be a string no more than 100 characters long, create a string that long of nulls, blanks or anything and attach that to the left terminal for that output. no guarantees, but i have seen that work.

JDBC URL Configuration for UDConnect in BW 3.5

We are experiementing with UDConnect on our BW 3.5 sandbox system to try to connect to an external oracle database using JDBC.
The UDConnect configuration requires the input of the JDBC driver name, which I believe in our case is oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver.
The config also requires the URL input for the drivers. Ihave searched the internet and seen different examples of the URL format. Can anyone comfirm the proper format for the URL? I am having trouble making a successful connection. Here is the format i am using:
jdbc:oracle:thin:@hostname:port:oracle-sid

It's highly likely, Apple are not in the habit of shooting themselves in the foot and have an excellent track record for handling major architectural transitions (68000 to PowerPC, PowerPC to Intel, OS 9 to OS X etc) but of course nothing can be guaranteed until further official announcements are made. Your existing software however will certainly continue to work for some time yet to come with compatibility for the existing FCP, Motion, After Effects versions.

URL parameters for a Database Source in SES
Can anyone provide us a valid url format for creating a Database Source in SES? I have followed the SES Admin documentation, and have tried a variety of options, but am not getting the results I desire.
I have set up a view to my database table using the following syntax:

I also set up the Database Source in SES with the following parameters:
Database Connection String: jdbc:oracle:thin:@IP Address: 1521: MAINDB
URL Prefix: http://<SES computername.domain>: port/
(I can't include the IP address, tablename, or machine names in this forum because they are classified).
So, it crawls fine and gives me the expected number of documents found. And, when I search the source, I get a list of results. But, when I click on the link to the document, I get a 404 Page not found error. The url for the found doc shows as: <SES computername.domain:port/docserver?docid=1866
If I click on the "cached" link, I can see the document just fine and the url displayed is:
http://computername.domain:port/search/query/cache.jsp?id=438567&q=%&fid=
So, obviously, I still don't have the url for the docsever right.
Anyone have any ideas, please?

The display URL for a Database Source should point to a separate server that provides web access to the document. It is not meant to point back to the SES instance. As the Admin Guide states:
"This connector requires that there is URL-based access to the records in the result set of the view or query."
In other words, the display URL should be something you can copy/paste into your browser location bar to view the document, with the other server rendering the document information to a user completely independently from SES.
