Bug in pagination CSS on these support forums

Hi
Just noticed the pagination buttons in these forums are screwed to the right side... and then i searched and found that in this file, you have a css entry .cf { } which is empty... i assume it should have { clear: both } ?
This is the css file which has it empty

And here's a screenshot of how it looks now

Thanks

I use this code in userContent.css to fix this issue and style that section (I like to dim stuff).

<pre><nowiki>@-moz-document domain(support.mozilla.org) {
ol.pagination {margin:5px 0!important;padding:0!important;float:right;clear:both;opacity:0.5}
ol.pagination:hover {opacity:1}
ol.pagination a {font-weight:bold;font-size:1.3em!important}
}</nowiki></pre>

  • How do you find what you posted to the support forum?

Last night I posted a question about Firefox being unable to load certain https URLs, but now I can't find it. I would like to be able to find it to see if anyone has made any helpful replies. In the forum settings, I have the following checkboxes:
    Watch forum threads I start:
Watch forum threads I comment in:
Watch KB discussion threads I start:
Watch KB discussion threads I comment in:
    Send emails for private messages:
All of the above settings are checked, but I can't find where in the interface for these forums I should go to view the threads and comments that I am "watching."
I will bookmark this present support topic so that I can return to it later.
thank you for any help you can provide!

ha ha ha oh my god...
okay, thank you for the help... I see what the problem is... this web site's UI has a shortcoming...
    this URL:
    https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/home
appears to be the home page of the forums... but it is not....
the home page of the forums is buried in a link off to the side in a list labeled "For Contributors"... I mean... by seeking help in the forums, I'm now a "contributor"? ehhh... English... It'd be nice if the UI designers would use it...
the home page to the forums is found via this URL:
    https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions
See... whoever named that URL had the right idea... instead of
    https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/contributors , the person used:
    https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions
hmmm.... now if the heading on the right said:
    "For people with questions"
then I would have scanned it more closely, and I would have noticed "Support Forum Home" in the list.
I think the fact that so many people use Firefox is really a testament to how bad the other software out there really is, not to how good the Firefox stuff is or how responsive the firefox people are... E.g. is anyone going to actually learn from my above experience, and make the support forums easier to find?
Is anyone going to actually put a link to the forums in the dashboard for the account that is used to log into the forums?
    No, not a chance...
I mean, yes, I get that the link to the forums home page is always in the footer at the right, but come on, for crying out loud... so are stupid advertisements... it's a footer or side bar or whatever you want to call it... people are trained on a subconscious level, by now, to ignore that crap. If you were going to design a forum, would you take the most important links, and put them off to the side, where they are less likely to be noticed?
This is what I see when I bring up my dashboard:
    https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/user/630258
I mean, if you are a small time developer, with a few thousand users, you probably don't have the time or the resources to make something that's optimal... but when you have millions upon millions of users... optimizing your interface might be worth looking into.... you know... auditing the performance and effectiveness of your UI now and again might be a good idea... You take the few minutes that you waste a user with a confusing counter-intuitive non-standards-based interface, and you multiply that by millions of users, and what can I say... that's a *lot* of waste.
You don't even have an index of forum content... everything is found by searching... Imagine if you walked into a library, and they had NO catalog.. Instead, all books just tossed into a database, and the only way to find anything is by searching. That would be... just incredibly stupid.... That is what this forum interface is.

  • Support Forum

I just want to say that I have never been as happy with a support forum as I am with this one. I have participated in a number of these and have generally found them lacking. My experience here as a newbie has been absolutely great.

You're very welcome... and thank you for the kind comments.
I don't know that I have helped out any, but we have some great volunteers users here who do a great job and care a lot to work with users.

  • Come on ! This is meant to be a support forum - lots of lookers NO SUPPORT !!

Silver surfer would like some help please - I have given up on the 90 day free support - at this rate would need 365 days at least !  - obviously outsourced so they can't understand me (English regional dialect) and I can't understand them (English who knows where/learnt dialect !!).
Anyway BBplaybook calendar - I just want different calendars for different events ! I dont want It linked/Sync  to an email account -can this be done also I would also like a year view.
My sons are laughing at me because the ipad offers all of these with different colours on layer views - I thought as a business user this would be a basic requirement.
Can I download a better 3rd party calendar app ?
    Many thanks
PS Last post - No support whatsoever !!

Not sure about multiple calendars, but you'll probably get more response over in the Crackberry forums. They seem a lot more active than these.

  • Can't access Aperture support forum

Hi all, not sure whether this is the right place to report a problem with the Aperture Support forum - I couldn't find anywhere to report the problem so posted here. When I try to enter it I get the following error message
    "Unsupported Browser detected.
Announcement: Apple Support Communities has discontinued support for your current browser.
In order to provide the best platform for continued innovation, Apple Support Communities suggests using the latest version of Safari."
I am using Safari Version 7.1 (9537.85.10.17.1) and I can access the other forums without any problem.
    Thanks in advance

I just got this too, on Firefox, in Private Browsing mode. I was trying to access How to remove Adware? when it redirected to the same page as fleetwood reported. I've attached a screenshot. I'm using Firefox 33.0 on Mavericks 10.9.5. I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this either.
UPDATE: The link works fine now.

  • CSS Level 2 Support for RGB Hex Abbreviation

when creating a style sheet during the tutorial in
Flash 8: Training from the Source, i abbreviated my hex
colors as usual when i have repeating pairs (in this particular
case #999 instead of #999999) and the publised Flash page would not
display the correct color. it displayed black text instead of gray.
after changing the #999 to the full #999999, the republished
Flash page displayed the page correctly. I understand from the book
Flash 8 does not support level 2 CSS, which includes more than my
    simple abbreviation issue.
when do you (Adobe Flash Team) expect to incorporate CSS
level 2 support into the product? is it supported by Flex 2, as I
am not too familiar with that platform yet?
    thank you,

    Hi Mike,
OHJ uses the ICE Browser, which we license from a company named ICESoft. It generally compares favorably with other Java-based browsers, although it is not as complete as a native browser such as IE or Firefox.
There is a list of what is and is not supported in CSS:
    http://www.icesoft.com/developer_guides/icebrowser/htmlguide/featuresappendix3.html#86328
We recently finally resolved the licensing issues that were holding us back from releasing a version of OHJ with JavaScript support. The current versions don't support JavaScript, but our next major release will.
Depending on your needs, we also have OHW, which is a server based help system, that uses the client's native browser.

  • BUG! Not system locale Filenames support for 32-bit applications error in Windows 8.1 x64 and other microssoft x64 OS-s.

BUG! Not system locale Filenames support for 32-bit applications error in Windows 8.1 x64.
All Windows x64 (XP,2003,2007,Vista,7,8) have no support for not system locale filenames|foldernames for all 32-bit applications. I think it is BUG!
For example,  it is possible to read files|folders with French or Chinese in English locale windows installed, rename it, but it is not possible open it, edit or delete. (ERRORS: File not found OR Unknown format)
With using 64-bit programs no such problems. How does it works and how can I fix this? Is it problem with encoding in translating kernel instructions for 32-bit apps in x64 Windows OS's? Whether there are
solutions to this problem OR some hacks|fixes?

    Hi,
Have you installed the language package for French or Chinese?
If no, please download the language package and install them.

  • CSS 2.1 support in Java

    Hi
Can anyone please tell that does java provide CSS 2.1 support. if yes can anybody specify how to use it. and if no are there any plans of sun/java to make it available in near future?.

JEditorPane and Java are not the same thing. Asking if Java supports CSS is like asking if France has a wooden leg. Yes, some guys in France have wooden legs. France itself does not have a wooden leg. Poor analogy. Take all the wooden legs out of France, and it's still France. The CSS support of Swing, however, is a specified part of Java SE.
Java itself doesn't have a socket timeout, but we wouldn't all act confused and pretend the OP was talking nonsense if he asked "how do I set socket timeouts in Java?".
If the OP meant the HTML displaying stuff in Swing, JEditorPane in particular, he should have said. His question as stated did not make sense, and could have meant anything.Yeh he definitely could have asked the question better. As soon as you asked "in what way does a language support CSS?" the correct answer to that would've shed light on it. But given that, by a not unreasonable definition of the term, CSS is supported by core Java, it's not exactly fair that the OP was accused of not having a clue what he's on about (I realise it wasn't you saying that)

  • How do I get help if neither the database nor the Community Support forum helps with my problem?

I have been having a problem with downloads stopping for several minutes every 30 minutes plus at the same time I cannot load or refresh any websites for as long as the seizure lasts. while at the same time torrent downloads continue without a hitch. I disabled all my extensions and plug-ins, ran FF in safe mode, stopped the torrent download to see if that was somehow causing it, searched the database for several hours, and asked for help on the community support forum, none of which helped. If I can't get more support I will ahve to stop using FF altogether, which would be a shame after using it for many years

Did you download another browser to see if happens there too ? as you said in : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/931731
also, try to disable antivirus and firewall and check it again.
    thank you
