Bug on EJB/JPA creation process

Hi.
Using JDK 1.5.0.10, KUbuntu Feisty, JDev 11.1.1.0.0.
I run the "Entities From Table" wizard in order to create two entities. All table names begin with a trigram so at the "Specify Entity Details" step I rename the entities from, say, Den_Foo and Den_Bar to Foo and Bar. The "Summary" step looks ok so I finish the wizard.
Now, just one entity gets created and no tables are added to the offline database. The one entity has a sole ctor and no fields.
Note that this does happen if the two tables are related (master-detail relationship). If the two tables are irrelevant then no problem.
The console windows shows no errors.
Another bug (or is it a feature?) of the same wizard is that although I select Online Database Connection as "Type of Conenction", an offline database gets created/used anyway.
Denis
PS so far, congrats for the new JDev !!!

Hi
The script that defines two tables (DLK_PACKAGES, DLK_PACKAGECOVERS) is at the end of the msg.
Steps to produce the bug:
0. Prepare the datasource (say, "denis"), go to the Entities From Table wizard
1. Accepting all the defaults using "Next".
2. At "Select tables" I select the two included and Next
3. At "Specify Entity Details" I change a) DlkPackagecovers to PackageCovers and b) DlkPackages to InsPackages and Next
4. The "Summary" is set up ok
After Finish
a. I get PackageCovers.java without any field defintion, just a ctor
b. No InsPackages.java
c. No offline database tables
NB that I am rewritting a 10.1.3.2 demo that I ran a billion times over the past two months so I follow the exact philosophy that used to work.
Thx
Denis

  • PO Creation Process in Classic Scenario

    Hi
I want to understand the exact PO creation process in a classic scenario. Once the buyer clicks on 'Create Purchase Order' in the SOCO, what are the series of steps that are triggered till the PO number gets displayed in the SOCO screen?
I assume that the shopping cart has all required data and ready for PO creation.
    With Regards
    Sathya

    Hi,
The shopping cart is created and approved in SAP Enterprise Buyer. The remainder of the procurement process takes place in the backend ERP system(s) and all other follow-on documents, such the purchase order, goods receipt/service entry sheet and invoice, are located there. With SAP Supplier Self-Services, you have partial supplier involvement for the operational procurement business scenarios when buying materials. There is no support for services.

  • What are the User Exits for Sales Order creation process?

    Hi,
what are the User Exits for Sales Order creation process? how can I find them?
    thanks in advance,
    will reward,
    Mindaugas

    Please check this info:
User Exits In Sales Document Processing
This IMG step describes additional installation-specific processing in sales document processing. In particular, the required INCLUDES and user exits are described.
    Involved program components
System modifications for sales document processing affect different areas. Depending on the modification, you make the changes in the program components provided:
    MV45ATZZ
For entering metadata for sales document processing. User-specific metadata must start with "ZZ".
    MV45AOZZ
For entering additional installation-specific modules for sales document processing which are called up by the screen and run under PBO (Process Before Output) prior to output of the screen. The modules must start with "ZZ".
    MV45AIZZ
For entering additional installation-specific modules for sales document processing. These are called up by the screen and run under PAI (Process After Input) after data input (for example, data validation). The modules must start with "ZZ".
    MV45AFZZ and MV45EFZ1
For entering installation-specific FORM routines and for using user exits, which may be required and can be used if necessary. These program components are called up by the modules in MV45AOZZ or MV45AIZZ.
User exits in the program MV45AFZZ
The user exits which you can use for modifications in sales document processing are listed below.
    USEREXIT_DELETE_DOCUMENT
This user exit can be used for deleting data which was stored in a separate table during sales document creation, for example, if the sales document is deleted.
For example, if an additional table is filled with the name of the person in charge (ERNAM) during order entry, this data can also be deleted after the sales order has been deleted.
The user exit is called up at the end of the FORM routine BELEG_LOESCHEN shortly before the routine BELEG_SICHERN.
    USEREXIT_FIELD_MODIFICATION
This user exit can be used to modify the attributes of the screen fields.
To do this, the screen fields are allocated to so-called modification groups 1 - 4 and can be edited together during a modification in ABAP. If a field has no field name, it cannot be allocated to a group.
The usage of the field groups (modification group 1-4) is as follows:
Modification group 1: Automatic modification with transaction MFAW
Modification group 2: It contains 'LOO' for step loop fields
Modification group 3: For modifications which depend on check tables or on other fixed information
Modification group 4: is not used
The FORM routine is called up for every field of a screen. If you require changes to be made, you must make them in this user exit.
This FORM routine is called up by the module FELDAUSWAHL.
See the Screen Painter manual for further information on structuring the interface.
    USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_VBAK
Use this user exit to assign values to new fields at sales document header level. It is described in the section "Transfer of the customer master fields into the sales document".
The user exit is called up at the end of the FORM routine VBAK_FUELLEN.
    USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_VBAP
Use this user exit to assign values to new fields at sales document item level. It is described in the section "Copy customer master fields into the sales document".
The user exit is called up at the end of the FORM routine VBAP_FUELLEN.
    USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_VBEP
Use this user exit to assign values to new fields at the level of the sales document schedule lines.
The user exit is called up at the end of the FORM routine VBEP_FUELLEN.
    USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_VBKD
Use this user exit to assign values to new fields for business data of the sales document. It is described in the section "Copy customer master fields into sales document".
The user exit is called up at the end of the FORM routine VBKD_FUELLEN.
    USEREXIT_NUMBER_RANGE
Use this user exit to define the number ranges for internal document number assignment depending on the required fields. For example, if you want to define the number range depending on the sales organization (VKORG) or on the selling company (VKBUR), use this user exit.
The user exit is called up in the FORM routine BELEG_SICHERN.
    USEREXIT_PRICING_PREPARE_TKOMK
Use this user exit if you want to include and assign a value to an additional header field in the communication structure KOMK taken as a basis for pricing.
    USEREXIT_PRICING_PREPARE_TKOMP
Use this user exit if you want to include or assign a value to an additional item field in the communication structure KOMP taken as a basis for pricing.
    USEREXIT_READ_DOCUMENT
You use this user exit if further additional tables are to be read when importing TA01 or TA02.
The user exit is called up at the end of the FORM routine BELEG_LESEN.
    USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT
Use this user exit to fill user-specific statistics update tables.
The user exit is called up by the FORM routine BELEG-SICHERN before the COMMIT command.
    Note
If a standard field is changed, the field r185d-dataloss is set to X. The system queries this indicator at the beginning of the safety routine. This is why this indicator must also be set during the maintenance of user-specific tables that are also to be saved.
    USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE
Use this user exit to make certain changes or checks immediately before saving a document. It is the last possibility for changing or checking a document before posting.
The user exit is carried out at the beginning of the FORM routine BELEG_SICHERN.
User exits in the program MV45AFZA
    USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_KOMKD
Use this user exit to include or assign values to additional header fields in the communication structure KOMKD taken as a basis for the material determination. This is described in detail in the section "New fields for material determination".
    USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_KOMPD
Use this user exit to include or assign values to additional item fields in the communication structure KOMPD taken as a basis for the material determination. This is described in detail in the section "New fields for material determination".
    USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_KOMKG
Use this user exit to include or assign values to additional fields in the communication structure KOMKG taken as a basis for material determination and material listing. This is described in detail in the section "New fields for listing/exclusion".
    USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_KOMPG
Use this user exit to include or assign values to additional fields in the communication structure KOMPG taken as a basis for material determination and material listung. This is described in detail in the section "New fields for listing/exclusion".
    USEREXIT_REFRESH_DOCUMENT
With this user exit, you can reset certain customer-specific fields as soon as processing of a sales document is finished and before the following document is edited.
For example, if the credit limit of the sold-to party is read during document processing, in each case it must be reset again before processing the next document so that the credit limit is not used for the sold-to party of the following document.
The user exit is executed when a document is saved if you leave the processing of a document with F3 or F15.
The user exit is called up at the end of the FORM routine BELEG_INITIALISIEREN.
    User-Exits in program MV45AFZB

    User exits in the screens
Additional header data is on screen SAPMV45A 0309, additional item data on screen SAPMV45A 0459. These screens contain the Include screens SAPMV45A 8309 or SAPMV45A 8459 as user exits.
Fields which are also to be included in the sales document for a specific installation should be included on the Include screens for maintaining. If an application-specific check module is needed for the fields, this can be included in the Include MV45AIZZ. The module is called up in the processing logic of the Include screens.
For field transports, you do not have to make changes or adjustments.
    Example
A new field, VBAK-ZZKUN, should be included in table VBAK.
If the check is defined via the Dictionary (fixed values or check table) the field must be included with the fullscreen editor in the Include screen SAPMV45A 8309. In this case, no change has to be made to the processing logic.
    User Exits in Program MV45AFZ4

  • Stored procedure, EJB, JPA, and JavaServer Faces

    Hi!
I am currently working on a Web application using EJB, JPA, and JavaServer Faces. A part of the
business logic is already stored in the database as stored procedures, so we need to call those
procedures (instead of named queries) through a EJB and represent the data on the web tier.
Where can I find an extensive tutorial using this technology? There is no such tutorial in the Oracle Learning Library.
Maybe somebody can provide a link and/or example.
Thanks in advance for your help!

  • Database creation process hangs

I am manually creating a database on Windows 2k3 server using Oracle 11 r2. Using the Database Configuration Assistant to create a database, the process hangs for hours.
I figured out and triedthe following:
    1. I have attempted using the GUI tool more than once to create the database and each time it hangs.
    2. Using the scripts have been created using the with configuration tool, I manually attemped to create database. -- I have attempted more than once.
    3. The database creation process hangs while running the EXECRM.SQL file that is called by the CATPCNFG.SQL which is called by CATPROC.SQL which is called by CreateDBCatalog.sql
    3. The EXECRM.SQL file hangs on the following statement EXECUTE DMBS_RMIN.INSTALL;
I'm not sure why the PL/SQL packag is hanging at this point. Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Sheila

I was able to create the databases prior to installing Enterprise Manager Grid control. I deleted the databases to re-create so they would be registered with Enterprise manager. Once I install Enterprise manager the creation process hung. I have also installed Essbase and Oracle/Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management Suite on the server. I'm trying to do some research on these BI tools.
I'm tempted to uninstall Essbase and the Hyperion producst along with Enteprise Manager and start from scratch to test to see if I can create a database without these other products.

  • Error - Cube Builder Creation Process

    Hi Guys,
I´m working with SSM 7.5 (SP10) under NetWeaver and I´m trying to create a PAS Cube by the Cube Builder Resource.
I´ve already created the CBDEFAULT Manage Model Connection and got sucess in this step.
I created Dimensions and Metrics into Cube Builder Interface and finally I click on "Build PAS Model".
After wait some seconds, I got this massage error:
"There was a problem with the creation of the cube. Check the contents of the cb_build_ITS.trc file in the HOME directory".
    Output for the cb_build_ITS.trc file:

After look at the script above, I did a little test. I just take the sql statement (SELECT ID FROM CPMS_CB_CUBES WHERE NAME = 'ITS') and runned into my NetWeaver (SQL Server) database, where are stored the CPMS tables.
I got the same error into SQL Database (invalid object name).
For this sql run without problems, I need fix the database and schema name in front of my CPMS table name.
How can I configure/fix this informations into the PAS Creation Script?
    Enjoy Answers.
    Best Regards,
    Bruno Heissler

    Bala,
Into PAS, I tried test the Link ID connection and no user id prompt appeared to me. I just got a massage "Connection Sucessed".
So I decided remove the ODBC Connetion related with the Linkd Id in SSM Server and recreated it checking all the steps that are necessary in the SSM Guides.
Now, I can open de PAS, test my SSM_CB_EA Link Id, and look for a prompt asking for User ID and password. The userid, in my case, is SAPCEXDB, that according what you said, is the right information.
So now, I tried create again a Cube in Cube Builder Interface.
After the creation process I got a new error "Pilot Software Application Server Error. Your request encountered an error. ErrorCode: 30".
After got this error, I did a little test. Into the Model Connections Administration step, I checked the CBDEFAULT connection, that is necessary to Cube Builder works.
    Follow the parameters:
    - Model Connection: CBDEFAULT
    - PAS System Name: LOCALHOST
    - PAS System Logon:
    - Password:
    - PAS Model: INITIAL
    - PAS User: CBADMIN
    - Password:
    - INI File: lsserver.ini
    - Service: PILOT
Testing this connection I got an error "Error occurred trying to connect; login failed".
All of my Model Connections are working fine (getting success in test connection), including the model connection related to the Cube that I´m trying to create, I means (CBCUBE_MM ; CBCUBE_SC).
I also checked into the Application Server, and there are a list of users. I checked the CBADMIN user, and it´s configured with EXCLUSIVE Default Access Mode for the INITIAL Model Name.
    What could be the problem?

we do not use the CRM quotation. Our quotations are maintained directly in R/3 and connected to the CRM Opportunity via the submission number. This number is written from CRM to R/3 when the Opportunity is saved via a custom RFC enabled Function module. The number is the link for the Tab Quotations in the Opportunities.
I'm currently developing a batch input in wich allows us to provide a button in the CRM Opportunity with the function that a new Quotation is created in R/3 with the submission numer from the Opportunity and the Contact Partner as the sold to party.

  • Problems with ADF when running sample EJB, JPA, JSF Tutorial

    Hi,
    I'm new to jDeveloper.
I've downloaded the version 11.1.1.2.0 and tried to do my first tutorials with the product.
I started with the sample 'Build Applications with EJB, JPA and JSF' and run to following problems:
    - Part1: Step 10 expose the EJb as a Data Control
Here right-click FODFacadeBean.java and choose Create Data Control.
this option 'Create Data Control' does not come up at all. There is not such option
    - Part 2: Step 1 Add Tag Libraries to a project
The option to select ' ADF Faces Components 11 '
does not come up either. I can not see any ADF related options...
Is there something missing from my installation, as I can not access these ADF components ?
Should I include the ADF components at some stage during the installation to be able to access these
or is this some licencing option ?
I downloaded the product yesterday from the public download site, filename jdevstudio11112install.exe

this option 'Create Data Control' does not come up at all. There is not such optionI just tried and able to see the option (and able to generate the DC from the facade as well). Could you please share the tutorial link to see if you are missing something?

    - Part 2: Step 1 Add Tag Libraries to a project
The option to select ' ADF Faces Components 11 '
does not come up either. I can not see any ADF related options...Did you select Fusion Web Application (ADF) Template for creating your application? If yes, the ADF Faces Components 11 tag library would've been added by default (Check out in the list of tag libraries that are already added - before clicking on the Add button).

  • LC Rights Management End User can not find groups or users during policy creation process

    hello,
I'm using LC8.0.1 turnkey install on win2003 box.
Problem is LC Rights Management End User can not find groups or users (search result is empty) during policy creation process, thus can not apply specific restriction to certain groups or users.
I have create a user in the DefaultDom and assigned the following roles:
Live Cycle Rights Management Invite User
Live Cycle Rights Management End User
How can I allow the above created user to search for groups and user during policy creation? Thanks.

Good catch Phuc. Make sure you do this for each Policy Set as well as My Policies.
Here's an overview of Policy Sets:

    Cut and paste the URL.

  • C++ Look alike for Java EJB-- JPA-- Backing Store

    Hi All,
I'm familar with the creation of an EJB data model , JPA, and tying it into Coherence via Toplink Essentials to the Data Store of my choice. What is the mechanizum used for doing the same with a C++ client wrting cache objects and having Coherence back store those ojects to a database of chioce?

    Hi Morsie,
C++ is only supported for Extend clients.
Here is some information on C++ extend clients:
    http://coherence.oracle.com/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=1343491
Extend clients are not actually members of the cluster but instead connect to the cluster via TCP/IP. So, since cache store operations occur in the cluster, they are completely unaffected by the fact that you are accessing a cache via a C++ Extend client.
Please let me know if you have any further questions.

  • Bug in sqlserver 2014 long processing time in query optimizer for complex query. With compatibility set to 2012, everything is quick.

Believe the bug to be related to the new cardinality estimator. In my case joining 7 tables it took 4 seconds to see the query execution plan, with 8 tables it took 1 minute and with 9 tables 15
minutes! the actual processing of the query plan was sub second. (each table has only two records...)
It looks as if there is a workload in the cardinality estimator that escalates as the number of tables and join columns increases.
We have a number of these queries in our application and the bug is a showstopper for our customers. They will have to set compatibility level to 110 (sqlserver 2012) to run the app. Then they should
    probably not upgrade from 2012...
Is this a known bug? What is the bug number? How can I follow the bug to see when it is fixed?
Here is my testcase: (first building tables and data, and then the query with some comments. A version spending 15 minutes in the optimizer, takes 0 seconds to complete with the hint "option (QUERYTRACEON 9481) ".  we can't use this
hint in the application because no dba will allow an application like ours to run as sysadmin...
    SCRIPT:
-- Example has one table containing 25 rows. another containing 2 rows.
-- The one with two rows is joined in several times.
-- In the original query each of these joins were to separate tables.
-- I use this simplification because it makes it easier to build the testcase.

Reading "What's new in Sql Server 2014" (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb510411.aspx#CE). I see that  it says:
    New Design for Cardinality Estimation
The cardinality estimation logic, called the cardinality estimator, is re-designed in SQL Server 2014 to improve the quality of query plans, and therefore to improve query performance. The new cardinality estimator incorporates assumptions and algorithms
that work well on modern OLTP and data warehousing workloads. It is based on in-depth cardinality estimation research on modern workloads, and our learnings over the past 15 years of improving the SQL Server cardinality estimator. Feedback from customers shows
that while most queries will benefit from the change or remain unchanged, a small number might show regressions compared to the previous cardinality estimator. For performance tuning and testing recommendations, seeCardinality
    Estimation (SQL Server).
I states that a "small number of queries might show regressions". To mee the regression is a showstopper and seems to have to do with complexity. I found one query reported by Juha Salo (bug 893758) that possibly could have to do with the same thing.
It is a query with many joins. Simplifying the query by removing one of the joins, makes it work fine. The query documented in his report does not need any setup as it is a query on system tables as sys.indexes and sys.index_columns.
    I quote:
There is a huge difference in performance for the following query between compatibility level 120 and the lower levels:
    dbcc dropcleanbuffers
    SELECT i.NAME
    FROM sys.indexes i
    INNER JOIN sys.index_columns k ON i.object_id = k.object_id
    AND i.index_id = k.index_id
    INNER JOIN sys.objects o ON i.object_id = o.object_id
    AND k.object_id = o.object_id
    INNER JOIN sys.index_columns k1 ON i.object_id = k1.object_id
    AND i.index_id = k1.index_id
    AND k1.key_ordinal = 1
    INNER JOIN sys.index_columns k2 ON i.object_id = k2.object_id
    AND i.index_id = k2.index_id
    AND k2.key_ordinal = 2
    INNER JOIN sys.index_columns k3 ON i.object_id = k3.object_id
    AND i.index_id = k3.index_id
    AND k3.key_ordinal = 3
    INNER JOIN sys.index_columns k4 ON i.object_id = k4.object_id
    AND i.index_id = k4.index_id
    AND k4.key_ordinal = 4
    INNER JOIN sys.index_columns k5 ON i.object_id = k5.object_id
    AND i.index_id = k5.index_id
    AND k5.key_ordinal = 5
    INNER JOIN sys.index_columns k6 ON i.object_id = k6.object_id
    AND i.index_id = k6.index_id
    AND k6.key_ordinal = 6
    INNER JOIN sys.index_columns k7 ON i.object_id = k7.object_id
    AND i.index_id = k7.index_id
    AND k7.key_ordinal = 7
    INNER JOIN sys.columns c1 ON o.object_id = c1.object_id
    AND k1.column_id = c1.column_id
    INNER JOIN sys.columns c2 ON o.object_id = c2.object_id
    AND k2.column_id = c2.column_id
    INNER JOIN sys.columns c3 ON o.object_id = c3.object_id
    AND k3.column_id = c3.column_id
    INNER JOIN sys.columns c4 ON o.object_id = c4.object_id
    AND k4.column_id = c4.column_id
    INNER JOIN sys.columns c5 ON o.object_id = c5.object_id
    AND k5.column_id = c5.column_id
    INNER JOIN sys.columns c6 ON o.object_id = c6.object_id
    AND k6.column_id = c6.column_id
    INNER JOIN sys.columns c7 ON o.object_id = c7.object_id
    AND k7.column_id = c7.column_id
Can be run in any database. In our case we have a legacy database with almost 10 000 (ten thousand) tables. In that kind of database the query just freezes fully utilizing a single cpu core.
If compatibility level is switched to 110 then query performs as it should.

  • Exception handling bug in EJB-s

    Hi,
My collegue had problems with exceptions in iPlanet EJB-s.
Exceptions that were inherited from the class that is declared to be
thrown by a particular method made EJB-s to be destroyed due to an
unhadled exception. (Eg. NoSuchObjectException is found to be unhandled
even if FinderException is declared to be thrown.)
This is a serious malfunction of the container and against the basic
concept of EJB and also the Java itself.

    Hi,
My collegue had problems with exceptions in iPlanet EJB-s.
The root cause that were found is highlighted in the code example, where
direct equality is used for testing class instead of the instanceof
operator. This code has been found in ejb_skel_CLASSNAME.java and has
