Bug UIX 2.2.8: wrong German translation for "next n" rows

Hi, there is a minor bug in the German translation of the table paging feature (previos n / next n rows) in UIX 2.2.8.
In German the text "next <n>" sould be translated to "weitere <n>" and not to "weiter <n>".

Bug UIX 2.2.8: German translation for paging drop down

Hi, there is a minor bug in the german translation of the paging drop down ("1-8 of 30") of a table.
In German there is a missing space: "1-8 von30" instead of "1-8 von 30".
Bug is new in 2.2.8. Was ok in 2.1.21.

Bug 3852688 has been filed and is being tracked.
If you want a patch, you can request for it through your support contract or wait for the next upgrade.
The next upgrade you can probably get would be 10.1.2 JDEV

German translation with ß renders website unusable

Hi,
I just wanted to report an ugly problem with the German translation for the language strings in Aperture 3. When I recently exported my photographs to a website it produced links that were completely unusable.
The problem: For detail view Aperture exports html pages that were in English named large-xxx.html. The German translation for "large" ist "groß" – but groß contains the letter ß. Thus all details pages produce 404 errors on a web server – a desaster!
I found the solution on the web: You habe to open Aperture package and have to manually change the German language strings (to "gross" or something alike).
But this is certainly not a solution which is feasible for everybody.
So please: Could somebody make it happen to remove this stupid bug from the next release?

Are you using the latest Aperture version 3.5.1, Reinhard?
Then, if you have a Developer Account, use "Bug Reporter" to file a Bug Report.
If you don't have access to Bug Reporter, fill out the Feedback form:
Apple - Aperture - Feedback
Describe the bug there, then the Developer Team will also see it.
I'll try to reproduce the bug, and if I can, I'll also file a bug report.

Still missing translations for NavBar tooltips and status bar

Again JDev 9.0.3.1 does not have german translations for the following JClient navigation bar tooltips:
- Execute/Re-execute the query
- Cancel Find Mode and switch to previously displayed data
The english status bar shows rowset information like "row 1 / 7 rows / modified: false". With german language we only see "1 / 7" and a funny looking dot instead of the modification info.
903 does not ship the sources of the UIMessageBundles anymore. So how can we correct this? Can we put the 902 source into our projects and add german descriptions ourself? Or can you publish the 903 sources?
The CSMessageBundle_de also contains some empty messages (EXC_DEF_MANDATORY_ATTR_EXCEPTION or EXC_ROW_NOT_AVAILABLE). Are they not used by BC4J?

LR 5.2 RC bug in German translation

I've found in LR 5.2 RC a little bug in the translation to German when importing images. right upper corner in the section for preview rendering (see screenshot).
(I've tried to place this within the feedback.photoshop.com site, but the login never worked, so I'm posting it here. Sorry, if it's not the right place.)

Seems to be a missed translation in the RC version.
As well, translation for the new sliders has not yet been made for th RC version.
You can add it here by yourself: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.2 RC\Resources\de\TranslatedStrings.txt or wait for the release.

Bug: Universal app input controls (i.e. Start Menu, Task view buttons) ignoring and missing interpretative translation for legacy input control context request (right-click)

Redundant post - however the topic (title) is different to point out the potential of adding translation for right-click to universal app input controls. The part about a solution for translation is in bold at the bottom of this post ...
Bug: Universal app input controls (i.e. Start Menu, Task view buttons) ignoring and missing interpretation translating right-click to a left-click to activate context (menu) in universal app web style (similar to oo context menu for oo legacy style).
Bug: Task view: OO context menu: Should show "nothing" (like right-click Start Menu button) - but right click Task view shows the oo context menu for the Task bar (wrong context)
Besides behaving wrongly (should be like right clicking the Start button) ....
the problem is the user is likely to look for actions on that context menu.
However to activate the context menu for this universal app kind of behavior you actually need to left-click the button for the Task view ... and then you get the universal app like context menu.
Microsoft must have been trying to figure out what to do about this kind of voupling mismatch between legacy (right-click) and universal app (left-click) conmtext menus. confusing for users it weill become nevertheless.
But the left-click style supports touch.
One solution though is to support right-click on i.e. Task view and Start button. Thus for new kind (universal app kind-of)input controls - right-click will work (instead of just being ignored) just like left-click. Allthough not a correct left-click
- it will be helpful and interpretive translating the intension of receiving a context. A practical solution with right-click translating into left-click for universal app controls considering that the context menu actually has become a hybrid of left-click
and right-click (with a precedence for left-click though)

Help needed in URM German translation override with XLF file translation

I have a problem in URM 11.1.1.3 German translation override through a custom component.
I have a OOTB German context localization ww_strings.xlf file present in <oracle middleware home>/ucm/idc/components/Localization/lang/de in URM with a translation entry as

</trans-unit>
The Warehouse storage type name is referring to the key 'wwWarehouse' and so i see 'Warehouse' as name in the storage pages.
when i am overriding this entry key using a custom component with the following entry it does not work and the original translation is shown in the page.
<@de.wwWarehouse=Archiv@>
I have checked that the loadOrder is not the issue here and issue is the presence of @002frm keyword.The entry <@de.wwWarehouse@002frm=Archiv@> also does not work
Any Idea how can i override the translation key.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you trying to translate a BI report, or the string in the web interface?
I have to ask first:
- Have you enabled the German locale for Content Server?
- In your user profile, have you selected German?
Assuming both answers are yes...
I wouldn't worry about the XLF/XLIFF file if you are changing the caption in a report - provided the caption can even be translated in the report. URM does some black-magic translation for "certain" select strings in reports. Not sure "Warehouse" is one of them, though.
I'd avoid trying the <@lang_code.string@> route -- sometimes it works, sometimes not. In your custom component, create a folder structure like "resources/lang/de/ww_strings.htm", and put <@wwWarehouse=Archiv@> in that file.

Merged clips - are they all bugs or is there something wrong with my system?

I have to use merged clips to sync video and audio because making every clip a sequence is too cumbersome and doesn't give me thumbnails to help choose my shots. Apparently, merged clips are very buggy. I can't use colored markers because they don't get saved on merged clips. I can't use match frame on merged clips because they don't find the correct frame. I can't set a poster frame on a merged clip except with the "in" marker. Are all those problems bugs, or is there something wrong with my specific system. I trashed preferences to fix another problem unrelated to merged clips, but that didn't solve any of the clip problems.

I don't believe there's anything wrong with your system.

How to modify wrong menu translation

Hi. Not a big issue but the Italian localization for showing documents in outline view, inside the main menu, is completely misunderstanding.
Instead of "Mostra struttura documento" (as reported in the help file) it shows "Mostra bordo documento". The english translation for bordo is border, so it sound like show border and not show outline!! The tooltip is wrong too. The icon title is right. So i think there is a mistake in the resource file. Is there a way for correcting the resource file?

Alas, it's not the only one oddity of this kind.
Apple translators don't make the difference between the different meaning of 'outline'.
Same thing with 'baseline' which the often translate with the equivalent of 'line spacing'.
More, they use different translation sfor the same word in a given program or in the programs of iWork package.
I built a complete list of menu items used in the 18 localized versions of iWork.

IProcurement-XLIFFExtractor german translation extraction issue.

When using XLIFFExtractor for the "Edit Lines" page within iProcurement not all German Translations are exported. None of the labels are extracted for the table in the DeliveryLinesRN region. I used the following command on the unix server:

The messages for the buttons on the page are exported but not the columns within the table. I also tried to export region DeliveryLinesRN but got the error: Error: "/oracle/apps/icx/por/req/webui/customizations/site/0/CheckoutLinesButton sRN" not found in repository.
Is there some other page or region I need to export to capture the translations in the table?

Check the page xml whether that region is coming from the extension of a standalone region or whether its components defined as the part of page itself. If it is standalone region, you should be able to see the path of that region.

EN Translation for Desktop innerpage

Requirement:
I have a requirement where I need to keep following texts in EN always (irrespective of Portal/Browser lang): -
1. Detailed Navigation
2. Dynamic Navigation
3. Related Links
4. Portal Favorites
Action performed:
For this, I have created a Translation Worklist and added Portal's framework page to it.
During translation, I kept source language as EN and target language as Dutch, French, German one after other.
I replaced target text for above 4 to EN text.
And then I saved and marked worklist as 'Translated'.
Issue:
But still, I see them displayed in Portal language.
Any idea what is going wrong here?

Now go to particular users (usera, userb, userc). Just Change the Language(Go to User Administration--Identity ManagementSearch user click on ModifyGo to General Information Tab--Here Change the Language = Dutch). Depending up on what u need that Language(Dutch, French, German)
Translation Work List Language = Portal User Language Both Are Same. That time you are able to see that Portal Language

Need help in selecting translations for bursting

I am using EBS 12.1.3 (XML publisher 5.6.3) .I am successfully able to burst my consolidated report to e-mail in english language. But somehow I cannot get it to select the french translation ,for which I have already uploaded the corresponding xlf file for the template. I searched the forum and tried the filter attribute,so that my control file looks like this:
