Business System Creation in QTY Environment

Hi,
We created the Business system for SAP R/3 in DEV Server of XI in SLD as BS_SAPDEV300
Now its the time to Export the BS From DEV to PRD for further use.
After we Export and Import the BS From DEV to PRD, We have the BS Name in PRD Server as BS_SAPDEV300.
But this naming Convension points DEV System .
How can we accept this???
Comments on this plzzzzzzzz

Suman

Hi,
Do we need to create the transport Groups and Targets even though we have the Seperate SLD's???
I thought that we need these transport Groups and Targets in case of we have a comman SLD for All DEV, QTY, PRD
Why do we need these if we Exporty and Import the TS and BS Individually

    Hi,
Am trying to create a Technical System in my SLD for my ECC6.0 installation. The System got created and my problem is when i create my Business system out of it.When i try to create a Business System am not able to do so and i get an error as below:
"No products are defined for the selected technical system
Define the installed products in theTechnical System View "
also when i try to add products am not able to do so.what could be the problem.I need solution to this very urgentlg.
Am on SAP Netweaver SP09 stack.
Can someone help me out.I want to create a Business system to use it in my XI Integration.
    Regards,
    Karthik

    Karthik,
Is your SLD on Stand alone java or is it on dual stack? If it is on a dual stack system, login to your ECC system and register your ECC system with the SLD using RZ70.

  • Business Systems and Related Integration Servers

Each Standalone Business System has a corresponding Related Integration Server.
Suppose I am Developing a scenario for a Business System in the development environment, I have a related XI Development Integration Server (call it XD1) then I want to transport the changes to the test environment. Since this business system is defined to only point to XD1 as the integration server, in the test environment I want it to use the Test Integration Server (call it XD2). But the Business SYstem is pointing to XD1 only!
What I am saying is: Given that one Business System only points to one Integration Server, do I need one Business System for Development (call it BS_DEV), and one for test (call it BS_TST)?
    Kind Regards,
    Tony.

If you have only 1 sld and you want to move the XI objects from development(XIDEV) to Quality(XIQA).
you will have to define the 2 business system groups and the related transport targets in the SLD..
    1st transport group XIDEV    --
BS_DEV will have XIDEV as the integration server.
    2nd transport group XIQA  --
BS_QA will have XIQA as the integration server.
So you will have to name the business system differently as DEV and QA

  • Business Systems Limit

    Hi ALL,
we have nearly 150 third party systems in our Project ,customer is asking to create all of them as Business systems in the SLD .
i want to know like is there any limit for the number of business systems to be created in the SLD .. ?
    thanks
    Souz

    Hi Souz,
Not exactly there is NO limit but i suggest to add third party systems that are being used in your PI/XI secnarios rather adding everything available.
It's purely resource centric so ensure you enough resource to support the your requirement.
Otherwise, we have 300+ business systems implemented in our environment and has never been a issue in any sense.

  • Creation of technical system and business system

    Hi Guys,
Im just a beginner in SAP XI..I would like to know what will be the setup in my SLD .
My data will be coming from MS SQL and will transfer it to SAP R/3.
Is it true that I need to setup the Technical system , one for my Sender (data coming from sql ) and
one for my Receiver (data will transfer to SAP R/3).
about the Business system? do i need to create buss system for Sender and receiver?
    Please help.
    Thanks in advance.
    aVaDuDz

    Hi,
you don't have to create technical system for R/3 you should better use tcode RZ70 for selfregistering:
The specified item was not found.
And for this technical system you should create also a business system.
You should create a technical and business system for your MS SQL if it's inside of your system landscape.
    Here is a good explanation:

  • Creation of Technical and Business Systems

    HI Experts,
If I am having the one ECC, SAP 4.6C , Sap 4.7E, Mainframe , SQL Server systems,  to integrate  all these systems how we can maintain these in SLD.
Please Explain how many Technical Systems and Business Systems for these systems.
    thax

    Hi Sridhar
It is depend upon the type of the scenarios and your requirement.
There are a few basics you need to understand to be able to answer this.
1, Technical and Business Systems are of 3 types Java / ABAP and ThirdParty.
    2. When dealing with Java Proxies and Idocs/ ABAP Proxies, you need to create Technical and Business Systems corresponding to your SAP systems.
    3. For JDBC and SOAP etc, you can use a single Third Party Business System or , create multiple corresponding to each system you are integrtaing with you can use Business Service etc!
there are no hard and fast rules for JDBC , SOAP adapters and it all depends on how you are architecturally strucutring your SLD and your entire Integration landscape.
    Cheers..

  • No business system in integration directory error...urgent pl

Scenario: SAP800 to SAP812 via XI3.0 Using Idocs and IDoc adopter.
When I create a business system for SAP800 and SAP812 in integration Directory, it is not visble in the Integration server where I configured the Idoc adopter and thus the Idoc_inbound_asychronous is throwing a error back to SAP800" No service for business system SAP800 in integration Directory".
What may be the problem? And Pl help in Debugging the creation of business system in Integration Directory...
    Thanks.

    Hi,
make sure that the logical system names are properly assigened to the business systems in the Directory. To to so double click one of your Business Systems and select the menu entry "Adapterspecific Identifiers".
If the logical system name is not maintained here, make sure that it is so in the SLD (check the clients of your technical system in the SLD).
Maintain them, if necessary, clear the SLD Cache in the Directory (Menu: Environment->Clear SLD..), go to the Adapterspecific Identifiers (in edit mode) and click the second button to load the data from the SLD.
    Did this fix the problem?

  • Business system/service Service without party: info needed

    Hi,
I am a newbie in XI world. I have a scenario of interfacing a 3rd party system to R/3 via XI. This system will dump a file to XI which needs to be converted to IDOC for R/3 use and later an outbound interface should send some data in a file format to this 3rd party system.
As per various blogs, I have managed to define business system and basid IR config. Since this a 2 way asyncronous interface,  I wanted to know
1> In XI, do I need to create a separate Buss System for 3rd Party sender interface( legacy->XI->R/3)
and a new Buss system for 3rd party Receiver interface.(R/3->Xi>Legacy). However in R/3 should I can create only one and assign the inbound/outbound IDOC partner profiles. ( But do the names of legacy systems in R/3 and XI have to be same)
2> What is the difference between Party and Service without Party( I saw these in ID). Do I need to define party for my interface scenario. If yes, How?
3> For testing, I wanted XI to pick files from my desktop and then post to R/3. As per various sdn threads, I realise, I need to give the IP of my PC and use Service without party. Since I am new in this area, I do not know how to define this serv-without party for my scenario. Any blogs or threads which define this would be very helpful.
    Appreciate your help and time.
    Helpful answers will be rewarded.
    Thanks and regards
    Shirin

    Hi Shirin,
For 3rd party sysytems u can directly configure in ID under bussiness service
we will choose service without party when we are having A2A communication.
A2A means application to application communication, it is used when two systems in same landscape try to communicate with each other. Systems in same landscape means both the systems are belongs to same organization or a company.
Normally in A2A communication sender and receiver is inside one organization and developer have freedom to define communication rules .

we will choose service withparty when we are having B2B communication
B2B means Business to Business communication .It is used when there is exchange of information between two different Parties or companies or landscape.
When two applications in different companies communicates with each other we call it B2B Communication.
in case of B2B every party has it own rules which must be followed if we want to communicate between different organization.

    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2004/helpdata/en/ca/efb540efe68631e10000000a1550b0/content.htm
communication party (party for short) represents a larger unit, which is involved in a collaborative process. Using a communication party, you generally address a company within a cross-company process. That means we use party only when we r using B2B communcation.for example communication of two diffrent organization who r having different landscape.
The matter of Party comes only when there are number of partners included in the environment. Thats usually happens in B2B systems. The services without party usually happens in normal A2A systems; were normal applications handle the message processing between systems and no multiple partners are interested in same data that are been handled.

Business System : It is registered in SLD,We should have all the technical details to use
it, A business system is something that physicallu exists. generally for R/3 applications
    we use this one.
Business Service : When we don't have all the technical details then we use the business
service, it is mostly used for B2B scenarios.
In ID objects tab in Business service is there, there right click and create the new business service, and fill the details like interface,...
    BUSINESS SERVICE CREATION STEPS:
You can create the Business Service in ID itself. It is an abstract unit and it will act as Business System while exchanging the messages. In ID goto Service Without Party>Choose Business Service>Right Click and say as New>Give Servie Name as your Naming Conventions and choose u r configuration Scenario to adding the same> click on create>It will create the service and u can edit the service>u can find the tabs Receiver,Sender and etc--> Add ur Inbound/Outbound interfaces and corresponding Communication channels.

Create Config Scenario--Service With out PartyBusiness system-Right ClickAssign Business SystemContinueContinue---select Your Business system which u need to use.

  • Technical systems and Business systems in SAP XI

can any one tell me ,breifly explain the  diff b/w <b>Technical Systems</b> & Business Systems?
steps to create Techincal system and Business systems?
and also Steps for creating Software Components? For Technical System we can create more than one Business systems ,what it means?can any one explain?

    Hi
First I let u know with analogy and actual definition as below
Any module of SAP like MM, SRM, FICO ets makes a logical system in combination according to business requirements is a business system which is actualy hosted on an application server like ABAP AS or Java AS which is basically a technical system.
Technical systems are application systems that are installed in system landscape (a CRM server, for example). Most systems (Web AS ABAP and Web AS Java systems) automatically report information to the SLD about the elements that they contain by using the SLD data supplier programs. You need to manually register the following types of system only:
    Standalone Java systems
    Third-party systems
Business systems are logical senders or receivers that exchange messages by using SAP XI and that are entered in the System Landscape Directory.
The business systems in the System Landscape Directory relate to a system landscape.
The business systems of business partners are not entered in the System Landscape Directory. To be able to address such business partners logically, use services in the Integration Directory. A business system is a way of specifying a service in the Integration Directory more precisely (business system service).

  • Error while reading ID of own business system from the SLD for system

    Dear all,
We running on a SAP PI 7.1 enhancement pack 1.I know that there some threads about this subject, but unfortunately all suggestions found so far didn't solve my problem:
    - SLDCHECK reports no errors
    - SLAPICUST: pointing to the SLD
    - SXI_CACHE with full refresh: no result.
Does anyone have a clue for me?
    Kind regards,
    John.

I hope you are facing this prolem with one particular Business System.. Since you have checked all the points and still facing this issue then try below options..
    1. First try to clear full SLD cache and then test.
    2. If cache doesn't solve the issue then delete the Business System from SLD and Integration Directory first then re-create the BS in SLD and "Clear SLD Data Cache" from "Environment" menu in Integration Directory and then import the Business System and test your scenario.

  • Business Partner creation for Customer Master creation

    Hi
We have customized our system in order to trigger the creation of Business Partner whenever a Customer Master is created.
I created some customers for which the Business Partner creation was not triggered due to some reason.. In order to manage the same, i created a Business Partner manually and tried to link the same to my customer through T Code FLBPD2, but system returned with a message "The business partner could not be linked to the customer selected"  Message Number CVIC_UI023.
    Can anyone suggest something.
    Thanx in advance
    Pankaj

    Hi Pankaj,
Please check wether you configured all required node under Master Data Synchronization..In SPRO..I am referring to below node.
    Active Synchroniztion Options
Set BP role Category for customer Integration
Define BP Role for direction customer to BP
    Field Assignment for customer Integration

  • Business System Update

I have made a change to my business system in the SLD but I do not see the changes in the Integration Directory... I have tried CPACache Refresh but this has made no difference.
Basically I changed the Client and Logical system name of the business system and I want to see the changes in my integration Directory...
Like with SWCV's when you make a change you can simply reimport the SWCV and you will see all the changes is there a similar process with Business systems?

    Hi Ricardo,
In ID goto Environment --> clear SLD data cache...
and then double click the Business system in ID
goto sevices --> adapter specific identifiers and click compare with SLD in change mode..
