Call to ext movie works in authoring, error message in projector

i'm trying to get a presentation together that calls on 6
small external projectors. i'm using a baOpenFile script to do
that. it works fine in director. when i publish the larger
presentation to a projector, and try to call one of the small
projectors (exe files), i get the dreaded "script error, continue?"
message. the small projectors, when opened on their own, each work
fine.
what am i missing here????????

it now says: "Handler not defined. #baOpenFile Script Error,
Continue?"
That's what comes up when i try to call one of the "small
projectors" from the main presentation. The small projectors are
just little applications that I've tried to build using the MailTo
xtra. The script I'm using is this:
on mouseDown me
ok = baOpenFile(the moviePath & "christine email.exe",
"maximized")
if ok < 32 then -- some error occurred
case ok of
2: -- file not found
alert( "File not found!" )
31: -- nothing can open swf
baOpenURL(the moviePath & "christine email.exe",
"maximized")
otherwise: -- some other error, very unlikely
alert( "Unknown error" )
end case
end if
end
end
As I think I mentioned, I don't get that error when I'm
authoring in Director. Shouldn't I? I am not so special with Lingo
. . .

  • ERROR MESSAGE "MACROMEDIA PROJECTOR HAS STOPPED WORKING"

    I am using Windows Vista, and can no longer play any of my
    games. Was able to play before now I get this stupid
    error message: "Macromedia Projector has stopped working." I
    have tried redownloading the games again, tried redownloading the
    Flash and shockwave players, still nothing. HELP!

    I suddenly started getting the same error message and was reaching my wits end in trying to find a solution.
    This may sound bizarre, and you may not have the same situation as I found, but check your system/Windows date setting.
    Somehow, the year on my system had become 2096. I corrected it, and bingo! PSE 8 Editor works again.

  • IPhone 4s/6.0 "computer no longer authorized" error message loop.

    Seen similar questions to mine before but none exactly, and none resolved. Recently started getting "can't sync, this computer no longer authorized" error message; try to reauthorize and says "this computer is already authorized". Can't get out of loop and can't get certain apps to download. Checked most of other similar posts and none address this specifically.

    No. You must purchase them under your Apple ID. Anything purchased under someone else's Apple ID will present this same issue. You cannot share items in this way.
    Give the above see the following:
    Sharing Stuff From Different iTunes Accounts (or Computers)
    Here's how to do so using different computers:
    Transfer what content you want to the separate iTunes library on each computer. To transfer content from your library to another library do the following. We'll assume this is between husband and wife separate accounts and different Apple IDs.
    Launch iTunes under your wife's login;
    Sign her out of iTunes, then you sign in;
    Select iTunes -> Preferences -> Devices -> Disable auto-sync when an iPod/iPhone is connected;
    Connect your phone, DO NOT SYNC;
    Select Store -> Authorize this Computer (only have to do this once);
    Select File -> Transfer Purchases (all of the purchased content on your phone will be transferred to your wife's library);
    When complete eject your phone, sign out of iTunes, sign your wife back in.
    You can now sync whatever content you want to your wife's phone. Just remember all updates to apps obtained using your account must be done while signed in using your account: sign wife out, you sign in, update apps, you sign out, sign wife in, sync her phone.
    This way you can share content (permitted under the EUSLA) and still maintain your separate logins. Do the same on your computer if you want to share content from your wife's library.
    Just load whatever content you want to share on each others phones, transfer the content, then delete it from the respective phone if you don't want to keep it there.

  • When I download a movie I receive an error message telling me to try again later.

    When I download a movie I receive an error message telling me to try again later.  I have tried multiple times and can't get the movie to download.   I have been charged for it but can't download it.  I have downloaded other movies in the pat and they typically take a 8 hours or more on my high speed cable connection.  I have loaded the latest software inot the Apple TV and it seems to be slower now.  Any suggestons?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
    Try unplugging the Apple TV for a few moments and trying again.
    Sometimes if the download speed is too slow the Apple TV won't download, try checking your internet speed using speedtest.net

    For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
    The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
    Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
    The section Install missing components has advice on breaking down the iTunes installer into the individual .msi files which might prove useful if AAS won't install normally.

  • My apple tv it is not authorized to play a movie that I received as a gift from the itunes store. It plays on my G5 but after downloading to apple tv, when I try to play the movie,  i get an error message that says the apple tv not authorized to play it

    When I try to play a movie I downloaded from iTunes on my apple tv, the error message I get says the apple tv is not authorized to play the movie. I reauthorized the computer to be sure it is authorized ( as per Apple advice).

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
    If this is the Apple TV 1, this is a new issue which started with any new protected content purchased after October 28.
    You could de/re authorise your computer, disconnect and reconnect the library and resync your content, alternatively purchasing content directly from the Apple TV also appears to resolve the problem.

  • Trouble downloading movies due to "authorizing" error

    I am having trouble downloading video content from iTunes.  I get the error message that states that the computer is not authorized.  I went ahead and deauthorized all 5 computers that are associated with my account, and then reauthorized the computer.  When I tried to sync again to an iPod touch, I got the same error message.  Help!  I am wondering if there could be a problem associated with another iTunes account on the same computer??

  • Not Authorized Error Message - Help

    I successfully copied my songs to an external hard drive to save space on my PC - when I went to sync my ipod I was given the following error message for all the songs I've purchased from itunes over the years:
    "Song X" was not copied to your ipod because you are not authorized to play it on this computer.
    I purchased all the effected songs legally from itunes so I'm not sure what that means.
    Does anyone know how to fix this or who to call?

    Try playing a few seconds of the song on your computer first, then resync your iPod.

  • I moved itunes file to external hard drive and want to move the file on my pc to recycle bin. When I move i get an error message that it cannot delete ituneshelper.dll access is denied. Can I move that file to the recycle bin?

    I am trying to free up space on my pc and moving itunes files to external hard drive. I have followed instructions and believe I have file copied to new drive, but I am having trouble moving file to recycle bin as the instructions say. I am getting the following error message: cannot delete ituneshelper.dll:access denied, make sure disk is not full or write protected and file not in use. I know the file is not in use when trying to move. Any help would be most appreciated. I am on Windows XP.

    Yes. And you should not have moved that folder. Put it back. To move your iTunes library move the folder from User's Music.

  • HT1420 Authorized/No longer Authorized error message

    I have authorized my computer but whenever I sync I get an error message that says "This computer is no longer authorized for apps installed on your iphone." It then asks me to authorize or it will delete apps from my phone.  When I click "Authorize" it tells me that "this computer is already authorized."

    No. You must purchase them under your Apple ID. Anything purchased under someone else's Apple ID will present this same issue. You cannot share items in this way.
