Calling CoCreateInstance during OS and service startup

I have created 2 COM  services ServiceA and SerivceB. ( OS Windows 7)
ServiceA: Automatic startup
ServiceB: Manual Startup
During OS start-up, Calling CoCreateInstance of ServiceB from ServiceA->Run() is delayed almost 100 seconds.
This issue only occurs during OS startup. below link says similar issue. But not applicable to Windows 7.
 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/258943
Similar to http://stackoverflow.com/questions/3398105/calling-cocreateinstance-during-service-startup
Thanks, Renjith V R

It seems there is a solution in the second thread on stackoverflow.
I need reason. Not solution. I already have a solution of adding dependency. Also below link says service db is locked during service startup. Then the startup of second service should be failed. But  my service is started successfully
but it takes more than 1.5 mins.

Probably should've searched around a bit more. Just saw a similar forum post to my own in which redownloading and burning solved another user's similar issue. As of now I've redownloaded the 64-bit ISO, burned it, and so far so good (at 72% extracting files). I will repost here if it was a success in hopes that other users with a similar issue find this and benefit from it. Hope I didn't just waste anyone's time with a question that had already been answered (haha)

I cannot install Creative Suite 5.5 on my Windows 7 Professional. I keep getting error message: "Exit Code: 15 - Media DB sync failed". I have disabled UAC and Startup items and Services with no luck. Can you please help?

I am sorry Erickkasner but there is no longer direct support provided for Creative Suite 5.5 installation issues.
You are welcome to post any specific errors you are able to discover within your installation log to this discussion.  Since you are using Windows then Exit Code 15 could mean one of the following:
    Installer database is corrupted
Update pending to your operating system
Improper permissions set for the Media.db
The installation log file should provide additional insight into the exact error you are experiencing.  Please make sure to use the find command to look for the words 'ERROR' and 'FATAL' to locate the relevant error messages.

  • I just bought this iPhone 4S second hand and during incoming and outgoing calls I can't hear the other person talk unless it's on speaker or if I have headphones in. I don't know what to do I've turned up my volume and checked my settings!! Need help

I Just bought a second hand iPhone 4S I am having issues with the hearing during incoming and outgoing calls, I have turned the volume up and checked my settings but I still have trouble hearing the other person speak. It works if it's on speaker or if I have headphones plugged in. I need help desperately!!!!! Any suggestions on what to do???

    Hey Itsanaasaunders,
Thanks for the question. I understand that you are experiencing issues hearing sound while on a call (receiver wise, not speakerphone). The following resource provides troubleshooting steps for this symptom:
If you can't hear a person on a call or voicemail or if the sound quality is poor on iPhone - Apple Support
    http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT203800
    Clear the receiver
The iPhone receiver won't work properly if it's blocked or dirty. Here's where the receiver is:
Follow these steps, testing after each:
    - Make sure nothing is blocking the receiver, such as a case or film.
If you have a new iPhone, remove the plastic film on the front and back of the device.
    - Check the receiver opening to see if it's blocked or dirty. If necessary, clean the receiver opening with a clean, small, dry, soft-bristled brush.
    - While you're on a call, turn on speakerphone. If you still can't hear, then your network or reception could be the issue. Try calling again later or from a different location.
    Restart and update
    1. Restart your iPhone and test again.
    2. If there's still no sound or poor sound quality, update to the latest version of iOS.

If you've tried these steps and there's still no sound or poor sound quality from your iPhone, contact Apple Support.
    Thanks,

  • Route node and Service Call out in OSB

In OSB for a composite Proxy service (PS) that has to call 3 external services in sequence- we make service call out for 1st and 2nd external services and for invoking the last external service we can use route node.
Here technically PS is making web service calls to all the three external services. For the first two OSB uses service call outs and for the last one, route node is used.
What is the difference in service callout and route node in invoking an external service?
If route node is better in any ways why can't OSB come with route node type message flow action for all external service calls?
    Thanks

    HI there,
I have the same scenario as yours, I have to call 3 external services using Service Callouts and i have no idea how to use service callouts, how to and what to configure in SOAP body OR Payload parameters.
I have to call one service and then the response of the 1st service , i have to pass it as a request to the 2nd service, so on.
Can u please share with me how i can do it and what will be the best approach for that.
    Thanks and Regards

  • Hi, my iPhone 4 was stolen two weeks ago, and I called ATT to suspend the service. Today, we were able to trace it and it is under a different name.  What should I do? Should I report to police?

Hi, my iPhone was stolen two weeks ago, and I called ATT to suspend the service.  Today, we were about to find it using my iPod, and it is now under a different name.  What should I do?  Should I report to police?  I did called ATT again, and they told me that they cannot do anything, since the SIM card might have been replaced.

Doesn't hurt to call the police.
The SIM wasn't replaced; if it were, you wouldn't have been able to locate it.

  • ICM Call Types and Service Level

I have a question about how to accuratly get Service Level from a call type.  I want my service level to be 30 seconds.  In my ICM script I have a main call type that tracks every call coming in.
I Have 3 call types that track options.  Opt1 leave a voicemail, Op2 self help, Opt3 agent.
Would I change the Main call type to 30 seconds or would I change the Opt3 call type or both.  I think I would set the Opt3 call type but the consultant that designed the script and call flow for the company I work for set it on the Main call type.
    Thanks in Advance.

hopewell2 wrote:Over the last 5 years that I have been working with ICM I have gotten mixed feed back from consultants on doing that.  Some says its good to use a RONA call type some say it is not needed. What is your opinion?
Well, I'm a bit out there on RONA itself, let alone a special call type for RONA -  and my policy is - NO RONA!!!
There is nothing good about RONA in terms of customer service - nothing good at all. It promotes sloppy agents and poor practices within the contact center.
If you get up from your seat and leave yourself in the ready state, I'll dock your pay and put you on notice. Do it again and I'll fire you.  That usually sorts out the problem.

  • Router calls offered and Service Level calls offered differences

    Hi,
I was checking the definition of router calls offered and service level calls offered. Could anyone please let us know the exact difference between these fields in t_Skill_group_interval table.
    Regards
    Deepak

    Hi Jameson,
    Thanks for the reply.
I went through the database schema .I have some doubts regarding the terminologies.
    1. The component of redirect calls - Would like to know what it would be .
    2. The component - still unanswered within threshold . Would this mean the calls queued longer than SL .which means all the remaining calls which were offered to this skillgroup. Hence would like to know if the Service level calls offered should be equal to Router calls offered.
    3. I observe that Service level calls offered were less than the calls answered field. Would like to know the possible reasons. I was initially thinking that there are might be calls overlapping but its not so as per my testing. Please help.
    Testing performed :
Added to this , there is one more field called "Calls offered" and i observe that this is incremented when the calls are answered.
I performed to test "Service Level calls offered, calls offered , Calls answered and Router calls offered" .
I made a test call and queued skillgroup at 2:27 pm and made to be in queue and answered in next interval 2:32 pm (crossing reporting interval)
    I observe the below,
In 2:15 interval for the skillgroup ,
    Router calls offered = 1 , Calls offered = 0 , Calls answered = 0 , Service Level calls offered = 0
In 2:30 interval for the skillgroup,
    Router calls offered = 0 , Calls offered = 1, Calls answered = 1 , Service Level calls offered = 1
Would like to know if this are correct values.

  • Ghost calls, auto answer machine and static interference during calls.

Hi I have so many issues since I joined EE network. It's my first time with EE and the experience so far has been a very disappointing one.
    Don't know where to begin.
The figures below are average number of times.
Static interference - 6 out of 10 calls will experience a static interference. Even after few immediate attempts
Ghost call - 8 out of 10 calls will experience what I call are ghost calls. It's when I call someone it's dead silent, no ring tone but on the screen it shows the call has been received and the timer is on. Really annoying When I have to reach that person immediately. It takes several attempts before the call actually connects.
Auto answer machine - this ones not just annoying to me but the caller whose attempting to call me. It's embarrassing too.
8 out of 10 callers have been complaining to me that they're calls kept on going to the answer machine. But during that time my phones been free and showing full coverage . I know this because I experimented few times where I got the caller to call me after meeting them in person few mins after the issue.
Recent issue that occurred has me monitoring my data usage.
I connected my phone to iTunes on my PC and I noticed it turned on something with a chain link on top of my iPhone screen. I didn't take much notice of it thinking it's probably because I connected to my PC. Couple of hours later I receive a message from EE informing me that I used up 80% of my data. That's when I realised it turned on my personal hotspot. But who was connected to it? I don't remember turning it on and my PC was connected to the router via Ethernet cable. Wifi dongle was disconnected from my PC so it wasn't the PC using up my data. Now I'm having to worry about using all my data before my monthly reload I got another 24 days left before my next reload, which is a long time because I need my data for the line of work I'm in.
I never experienced any of those issues with my previous network provider. Wishing I haven't changed now.

    Hi
    Welcome to the EE Community!
Sorry to hear you are experiencing these problems. I had the same kind of issues when I got my first iPhone 5 and totally understand how frustrating it can be.
The issues you have described sound like a mix of both network and device issues.
Have you had a look at our Coverage Checker to see what the signal is like in your area?
What model iPhone are you using?
    Thanks.

  • Security/Calls and Services Code for Pantech Hotshot

I have been trying to get assistance with this issue from Verizon on and off for more than six months, and am so disgusted by the absolute unwillingness to help me displayed by Verizon that I can't think of anything that would motivate me to continue service beyond the contract end date.
I want to be able to utilize the security options on the device to restrict outgoing calls and messages being made by an unauthorized person on my phone. This feature is standard on even the most basic phone models by virtually ALL mobile service providers.
However - when I follow the instructions to access the menu to select these settings, I am confronted with a request for a 4 digit "Calls and Services code". According to ALL printed and online information from Verizon, the default pin is the last 4 of the phone number. As I have NEVER been able to access the Calls and Services menu to ever even set up a pin, then the last 4 of phone number default should be the only possible code.
But the phone rejects that PIN. As it also rejects the PIN I established under Security/Phone Only.
So, Verizon folks - can anyone tell me WHAT THE $%# I AM SUPPOSED TO DO NOW???

Robin - thank you for the response, but unfortunately it did not work. It
reset the '"Phone Only" lock code, but I still receive the 'Incorrect Code'
error message when I try to access the "Calls & Services Code".  This is
important to me because I am unable to prevent anyone who picks up my phone
from making calls, changing settings, etc by setting security measures
against it.  That has been a standard feature in wireless phones for many
years now, and even the most basic phone models allow for this.  So I am
perplexed about why I am unable to do so with this phone.

My IPhone will not turn on, I charged it last night and it had a complete charge and during a phone call it just died and will not come back on.

Connect iPhone to Wall Charger for 10 minutes, it may turn ON itself. If still nothing, keep on charger and Reset, hold both home and power buttons for about 20 seconds until the iPhone begins to respond.

I further contact the lady from the the Rebate Centre for the email of the Apples Sales and Service. She replied that they do have one. This is strange at this stone age. Can anyone help?

    Hi
successful. When I try to start the sun Java
Application Server Edition 8.1, I am receiving a
JMS5024: JMS service startup failed SEVERE error. Any
help would be appreciated. The error is below:Could you share your MQ broker log file [$AS_INSTALL_DIR/domains/domain1/imq/instances/imqbroker/log/log.txt]? Does this error occur after you had installed the jsp app? Was the earlier shutdown a clean shutdown? Could you check and see if there are any jms processes around[ ps -efa | grep
    imqbrokerd] ?
