Can a dashboard with QaaWS be scheduled and e-mailed?

I have anXcelsius dashboard created with QaaWS connections ( 5 of them). The requirement is - I need to refresh this dashboard everyday based on an event and then e-mail the refreshed flash file to a set of users. Is there a way to do this?

I tested the Publishing Plugin that is mentioned in this link - http://alteksolutions.com/wp/index.php/2009/09/how-to-implement-the-xcelsius-publishing-plugin/
But, I wasnt successful in implementing the Publishing Plugin which uses the batch utility and e-mails the flash file.
And as far as using QaaWs goes, that cannot be used if you want to schedule the Xcelsius dashboard refresh.
Here are the steps that I went through..
1) You create a WEBI report and include all the queries that you are using in the Xcelsius DB (via QaaWS).
2) Then schedule it to refresh and send the results to an Excel file out on the BOE server.
3) Have the SWF file on the BOE server too.
4) Use batch utility command - this creates a new swf file (with whatever name you want) with the refreshed data from the xls file
5) Now that the swf file has the refreshed data, I have to figure out a way to take that swf file and e-mail it. If anyone has a solution that does this then I could really use it.
If the Publishing Plugin worked for me then it would have been the ideal solution. It seems straight forward but I couldn't get it to work. You can try it out and see.

In my environment, we have 10.1.2 that's currently packaged. Our CIO was able to sign documents via signature with no problem. Later he got updated to 10.1.9, no longer can sign.
During testing I was able to confirm that 10.1.2 signed without problems, but anything that, it goes kaput, the Sign and options are not listed.
Latest Adobe Reader can sign... any ideas?

I'm having a similar problem. What I'm trying to do is print a Microsoft Word 2010 document with paper size A4 to Adobe pdf document paper size A4. I select "A4" for paper size in word and then print using Adobe print standard settings. What I get is an Adobe document in 8.5 x 11. This is an issue because these are patent documents for electronic filing in WIPO and they must be in A4 size.
If I select other sizes in Word, such as A3, Tabloid, and Legal, the Adobe file is in the same paper size.
If I print a Powerpoint document in A4 to Adobe, the Adobe file page size is A4.
If I print an Adobe file in 8.5 x11 to Adobe A4, the second Adobe file is in A4.
Any help?

Once disabled, you have to restore/recover the iPad before you can use it.
You will lose your data.

Seeking help with PS Elements 11 which does not work with Epson r2000 printer. Epson tech support could not fix, said it is PS e11 problem. Receive prompt on PS e11 screen when I try to print stating "not compatible or settings are not correct. Have set PS to manage color and printer manages color to off. Sincerely appreciate your help. Running Windows 7 on a Dell XPS420. System has been very stable for years. Before purchasing the Epson r2000, I owned an r1800 which was an excellent printer but after seven years started to exhibit paper feed problems. The r1800 worked with all applications and I was well satisfied with the saturation, contrast, etc. printing mostly 8x10 and 11x17 prints.
Thank you for the information about the # of installs for PS E11, will try uninstall/reinstall this morning.

That does happen. It depends on how hard the server is being hit, as well as the connection speed of your system. If you are on a windows system, you will want to disable any antivirus or firewall software during the download.

How to schedule and e-mail reports in OIM 10g

Hi,
Could you please let me know how to schedule and e-mail OOTB reports in OIM 10g.
When I click on reports tab and try to run a report, I see the report displayed on the screen and has an option to export to CSV format.
I could not find a place where I can specify the scheduling interval or the set of e-mail recipients.

You can write your own schedule task to do the same. You can use the existing Stored procedures which are used by OOTB reports to get the desired report.

Dashboard with QaaWS - cannot access external data

Hi all,
I built a dashboard with 3 qaaws, all based on one universe which is base on one bw-query.
All works fine for the group: Administrators.
If I take the Users out of the Adminstrators group, i get the message that the external data cannot be accessed. No Error # or so is displayed.
Even if I grant the usergroup Full Control on the QaaWS, the Universe, the Connection and the Dashboard itself, it does not work.
We use BO 4.0 SP01 FP11.
As far as I can see is, that it can't be a Network (Firewall)-Problem, because it works for the memebers of the Adminstration groups - What else can it be?

Considering you have sufficient rights, use fiddler tool to ensure as to why you are getting the error.
If it is not a rights issue then you need to check if you have crossdomain file deployed.
For using fiddler:
Go to fiddler2.com
Get Fiddler downloaded and installed
Run Fiddler
Launch your dashboard
In Fiddler, on left hand side panel you should see HTTP traffic happened between you server and the dashboard.
Go through captured HTTP traffic to find where exactly we are facing the issue.

How old of an iPod can I use with cloud, new os, and sync?

I have PC (HP Mini netbook with Widows 7 Starter and latest iTunes update) but I have an old iPod 2 and can't afford a new one. Will I be able to use cloud (I think not) and can I download the new iTunes software to my Touch 2 so that I can sync the music I purchased and downloaded yesterday. I am a new user of iTunes. Thanks for any help.
If I can sync, I need to know if I do that by using iPod Touch 2 and going to iTunes, or if I connect the iPod to my netbook via USB cord.

If I understood you and the FAQ articles you so kindly linked to for me, I should be able to download to iPod from iTunes Store, any music I have previously purchased using my netbook. I have not been able to do so yet. First, I had paid using Paypal and was told when using the iPod that Paypal was not allowed for the iPod. So I went back from the netbook and registered a card instead. Now when I use the Ipod and connect to the iTunes Store via DSL, the purchased button only allows me to see the album that I purchased using iPod and that card but not the 15 songs I purchased more recently using the netbook and my Paypal account. Is there a fix for this or is it impossible because of the changes in payment methods?

Can not Print with HP LaserJet 5000 and Epson AcuLaser C9100

I am using MacBook Pro 2.3 GHz Intel Core i7 with Mac OS X (10.6.6)
I already install the latest print driver from the Apple Software Update website.
The driver for HP is Ver. 17.5 & for Epson is Ver. 5.2
I connect two of the printer to my Belkin Surf N300 wireless N Router with ethernet cable.
The error when print to HP LaserJet 5000 is as follow:-
Unable to get printer status (Not Implemented)!
Network host 'x.x.x.x' is busy; will retry in 30 seconds...
This error can stay forever if I do not delete the print job
The error when print to Epson AcuLaser C9100 is as follow:-
Printer not responding
This error can stay forever if I do not delete the print job
Previously I can print with my emac with OS X 10.4.10, but now I can not print with 2 of my printer.
My 2 printer are in good condition, so this is not the printer problem.
Please, do anyone know how to fix this problem fast, because I need to use this two printer for my business.

That is not what Greg needs to know. That is just the way that the IP addresses are assigned to the printers.
Your problem is probably that the printers were probably originally found by AppleTalk. AppleTalk is not included in Snow Leopard. If the printers support Bonjour, they should be found that way. Otherwise, you have to use other methods.
How did you add your printers on the new computer? If you delete them from Print & Fax, how would you add them again?

What can I do with a working G4 and a nonworking G5?

I just got a new iMac and am looking to "fix" my old computers. I have a very trustworthy G4 flat panel 700MHz PowerPC. I also have a nonworking 20-inch iMac G5 (Ambient Light Sensor). More like when I turn it on, it gives a grey screen with the Apple logo and a thinking wheel. I was wondering how I could find out what still works on the G5? And if I could install any of the working parts in the G4 to enhance it?

To me that only suggests a software issue that should be fairly easily fixable. At the outside it could just be the hard drive which is failing (but that is a cheap and reasonably easy part to replace).
Switch the iMac G5 on and insert the OS X install disc. Then hold the C key down. Hopefully it will boot to the Installer. Don't install anything but rather select a language and then choose Disk Utility from the menu bar. Once it's loaded choose Macintosh HD on the left hand pane and then click Repair Disk and Repair Disk Permissions. Then exit Disk Utility and restart the iMac.
