Can I know start time of execution of procedure?

There is a stored procedure in my database executing continously from past few days? Can I know what time it started its execution?

V$session documentation:
http://download-west.oracle.com/docs/cd/B10501_01/server.920/a96536/ch3171.htm#1122127
Mike's query will tell you, for each active session, the last time there was some sort of activity in that session. Assuming you know which session is running the particular stored procedure, this should be the information you're looking for.

  • When creating a event can't choose starting time.

I just got a new mac air with yosemite. When I create a event in ical it won't let me choose a starting time, it just sticks a time in there and that's it, i can't change it. But I can change the end time though.

    Hey cdrea,
It is not quite clear from your description how you are creating the events in your Calendar application that you are describing, but you should be able to change the starting time for them. See this article -
Mac Basics: Calendar keeps your appointments - Apple Support
You can drag and drop the event to the correct time or use the Inspector -
Double-click anywhere on the calendar to add an event at that time. The Inspector window that appears allows you to add invitees, set a time, location and more.
Drag an event to reschedule it.
Double-click an existing event to edit it from the Inspector.
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
    Be well,

    Dear Balaji,
Only account group is differs to the onetime customer, remaining steps are same as normal customer so,
-->First you need to maintain the nuber range to the one time customer account group as per your requirement.
-->You need to assign the SP,BP,PY and SH partner functions to the One time customer account group in the partner determination -->Account group-Function assignment.

  • Time of execution of SQL statement

    Hi,
I executed some DML statements and Select statements as user SYS for user U1. How can I find the time of execution of these statements?
    Regards,
    Mathew

You have a couple of options to time queries.
SET TIMING ON has already been mentioned. I'll add that spooling the session to a file helps keep those timings for later reference.
You can use DBMS_UTILITY.GET_TIME to get start and end times in microseconds for PL/SQL evaluation. DBMS_PROFILER will time lines of PL/SQL code as they execute. Trace/tkprof has also already been mentioned, although tkrpof times tend to vary a bit between reported and real times and don't take OS activity into account as much as the other timings do.

  • Start time of query

    hi all,
How one can find the start time of a query.
    v$sql gives only FIRST_LOAD_TIME.

    user11232525 wrote:
I am currently using set time on but need to right it down before each query....is there a command line for this once i finish my query to display start time of execution?
    If you are using SQL*Plus:
SET TIME ON -- displays timestamp at every prompt
SET TIMING ON -- displays statement elapsed timeFor example:
    SQL> SET TIME ON
    12:06:55 SQL> SET TIMING ON
    12:07:03 SQL> SELECT COUNT(*) FROM DBA_OBJECTS
    12:07:18   2  /
      COUNT(*)
         69354
    Elapsed: 00:00:00.81
    12:07:19 SQL> SY.

  • How to edit the starting time for clips in properties?

    Hello there ,
I’m testing the CS5 Audition right now and find it great except for one thing:
In the properties for each clip there is a starting time. But it just can’t be edited!
I can change the starting time of the whole session – yes.
But not the ones of the individual clips. Only by moving them around and that is not very precise.
Is there a way to edit this starting times for the clips by typing in numbers?
    Thank you :).

Do I have to save any time I make a change?
As far as I'm aware, you've always had to save changes to metadata to make them permanent!
    One more please:
Can't I group Clips and move them together anymore?
    One more thing please:
Many people say that CS5 is worse than 3.
Why are all those people bothered?
No you can't group clips in CS5.5. And the reason that a lot of people are bothered is - because you can't group clips in CS5.5.
There are a few other reasons cited too, but I think that the lack of clip grouping may be at the top of the list, judging from the number of comments about it. If you look around the forum you will find a lot of discussion about this.

  • Can one jump to time in nested sequence

I have two sequences, SEQ-A and SEQ-B, and SEQ-B is included (nested) inside SEQ-A.
If I am watching SEQ-A and and find a point in time I need to change something in SEQ-B, how I can go to SEQ-B at the point in time I am watching in SEQ-A? How can I know "what time it is" in SEQ-B? Seems like I should be able to see that - it seems very pertinent.
I hope I am explaining it correctly. Basically, the CTI in SEQ-A may not always reflect the same point in time in SEQ-B. I can't imagine I am left to guess where I should go to do a precise edit in SEQ-B.
I know there must be a way.
    Paul

I wouldn't mind being able to see the time of the selected clip too. Like when you hover the cursor over the clip, you see duration, in-time out-time, but what about CTI location for the selected or cursor hovering clip...
That's useful info too. But your tip works well, even though targeting the layer is a bit out of the way.
It would be nice to have the option when double clicking a nested sequence to go to the CTI (if available) - or for example CNTRL+Double Click or something.

  • Display Start Time & End Time on Outlook follow Local Time

    Hi All,
We are using MS Outlook 2007 and got an issue with displaying time on meeting. According to the screenshot below:
Our Local Time is SGT, but the inviter's Local Time is VNT. How we can change the Start Time & End Time display follow SGT?
    Thank you.
    Jimmy

    Hi,
In Outlook 2007, this can't be changed. The meeting attendees can't change the time zone when they open the meeting on their calendars.
Anyway, it should display correctly on the calendar in the attendee's time zone.
I found a similar thread below, this customer found these workarounds helpful:
Method 1: Use the Calendar Options page in OWA
    1. Log into your mailbox using OWA
    2. Click Options
    3. Click Calendar Options
    4. Scroll down to the "Automatic Calendar Processing" section
    5. Disable the "Always place new meeting requests tentatively on my calendar"
    checkbox and click Save.
Method 2: Use the Exchange Management Shell
    1. start the Exchange Management Shell
    2. run the following command: Set-MailboxCalendarSettings <mailbox name> -AddNewRequestsTentatively:$False
    The thread is below:

when you say store , you want to capture in some file ,email or table.
If table , you can have a small sql linking SNP_SESSION and SNP_SCEN and fetching the required detail accordingly.

  • Find start and end execution time of a sql statement?

I am have databases with 10.2.0.3 and 9.2.0.8 on HP UNIX 11i and Windows 200x.
I am not in a position to turn on sql tracing in production environment. Yet, I want to find when a sql statement started executing and when it ended. When I look at v$sql, it has information such FIRST_LOAD_TIME, LAST_LOAD_TIME etc. No where it has information last time statement began execution and when it ended execution.. It shows no of executions, elapsed time etc, but they are cumulative. Is there a way to find individual times (time information each time a sql statement was executed. – its start time, its end time ….)? If I were to write my own program how will I do it?
Along the same line, when an AWR snapshot is shown, does it only include statements executed during that snapshot or it can have statements from the past if they have not been flushed from shared memory. If it only has statements executed in the snapshot period, how does it know when statement began execution?

    Hi,
For oracle 10g you can use below query to find start and end time, you can see data for last seven days.
    select min(to_char(a.sample_time,'DD-MON-YY HH24:MI:SS')) "Start time", max(to_char(a.sample_time,'DD-MON-YY HH24:MI:SS')) "End Time", b.sql_text
    from dba_HIST_ACTIVE_SESS_HISTORY a,DBA_HIST_SQLTEXT b where
    a.sql_id=b.sql_id
    order by 1;

  • How can i reduce time of execution

    Hi all,
I have a report program having HR logical database (PNP). This report were developed 1 year back. which is running well. This program were designed that it should take 1.20 hour execution  time. But since one week it is taking 3 hours. So i need to find why it is taking this much of time. I didn't get any clue to find out. please guide me how i can solve this issue.
Right answer will be appriciated. Thanking you

    Hai,
To reduce time of execution go for runtime analysis.
I think this documentation will help you out...
    RUNTIME ANALYSIS
The runtime analysis is an additional development workbench tool that is quite useful for analyzing performance of an ABAP / 4 Program or transaction. With this tool, the system can display information about:
    •     Executed instruction
    •     Accessed execution time.
    •     Tables and Types of access.
    •     Chronological execution flow
The runtime analysis tool creates lists that reveal expensive statements, summarize table accesses. Runtime analysis is specifically designed for tuning individual programs and transactions.
The Runtime Analysis tool measures ABAP/4 statements that are potentially expensive in terms of CPU time. The most significant of these are:
Statement used for database access like select.
Statement used for modularization such as module, perform, call function.
Internal table statements like append, collect.
    Starting Runtime Analysis
    •     From ABAP/4 development workbench select Test – Runtime Analysis.
    •     From ABAP/4 editor, select utilities – more utilities – Runtime Analysis.
    •     From ABAP/ source code screen, select Execute – Runtime Analysis.
    •     From R3 screen, select System – Utilities – Runtime Analysis.
    •     Entering Transaction code SE30 in the command field.
Following screen is the initial screen for SE30 transaction.
On the initial screen, select the needed object you want to analyze i.e. program or transaction. Enter the name of the object. Click on execute. The system will execute the specified object and will generate a trace file or performance data file, which can then be analyzed when the transaction or program is finished.
    Analyzing a performance data file
These files are created at operating system level and many times occupy large memory space, so be sure to remove the files, which are no longer needed.
    To analyze the files:
    •     Click on Analysis
    •     Following screen is displayed
    •     From GOTO option you can get overview of runtime analysis.
    The options are as follows:
    •     Hit List – Displays a list with the most system expensive instructions.
    •     Tables – Displays the most important tables, the number of accesses and the time needed for the accesses.
    •     Group hit list – Displays a list with the performed instructions classified by instruction type.
    •     Call hierarchy – Presents a chronological listing with the flow of calls during the execution of a program.
During Runtime Analysis, the system measures the statements and stores these measurements in a performance data file. If you measure the same program or transaction several times, the data can vary. Many factors make it difficult to reproduce identical result. E.g., Network traffic.
When you evaluate this file, the system displays the overview - Runtime Analysis Evaluation screen including a bar chart for total execution time. From this screen, you can analyze several types of information like:
    •     Hit list: displays the list with the most `system-expensive’ instructions.
    •     Tables: displays the most important tables, the number of accesses and the time needed for the accesses.
    •     Group hit list: displays a list of performed instruction classified by its type.
    •     Call hierarchy: presents a chronological listing with the flow of calls during the execution of program.

I was charging my iPad2 and when reaching 90% it just went black and can't be started again. Anyone that have had this problem and know what to do?

I have had this problem several times. The iPad comes off charging with a black screen and only a hard reset works to get it back.  Then you have to go to settings to be sure nothing changed there.
I have had serveral hard resets and three restore operations and the problem recurs.  I am not sure if it is the iPad2 or an app that is causing the problem.   So far I can live with it as is.

Tech D.PL/SQL is NOT a Real Time programming language.
The procedure that invokes the child procedure is effectively dormant while the child runs.
Plus there is no easy way to know when 5 seconds has elapsed.

  • Does anyone know what time the last episode of Breaking Bad starts streaming

Deos anyone know what time the last episode of Breaking Bad starts streaming on itunes?

    A. Diagnostic mode solution
If you have tried trouble shooting your iPod to no avail after all the steps above, chances are your iPod has a hardware problem. The iPod's built-in Diagnostic Mode is a quick and easy way to determine if you have a "bad" iPod.
You need to restart your iPod before putting it into Diagnostic Mode. Check that your hold switch is off by sliding the switch away from the headphone jack. Toggle it on and off to be safe.
Press and hold the following combination of buttons simultaneously for approximately 10 seconds to reset the iPod.
    iPod 1G to 3G: "Menu" and "Play/Pause"
iPod 4G+ (includes Photo, Nano, Video, and Mini): "Menu" and "Select"
The Apple logo will appear and you should feel the hard drive spinning up. Press and hold the following sequence of buttons:
iPod 1G to 3G: "REW", "FFW" and "Select"
iPod 4G+ (includes Photo, Nano, Video, and Mini): "Back" and "Select"
You will hear an audible chirp sound (3G models and higher) and the Apple logo should appear backwards. You are now in Diagnostic Mode. Navigate the list of tests using "REW" and "FFW". The scroll wheel will not function while in diagnostic mode. For further details on Diagnostic mode can be found at http://www.methodshop.com/mp3/ipodsupport/diagnosticmode/
Try to do the 5in1, HDD R/W and HDD scan tests. Some successful cases have been reported after the running the few tests under the Diagnostic mode. In case it does not work in your case, and the scan tests reports show some errors then it proves your iPod has a hardware problem and it needs a repairing service.

  • How to know the process chain start time & end time?

    HI all .
how to know the process chain start time & end time at the table level as well as in RSPC level .
    regards,
    Srinivas

    Hello,
there is a program "/ssa/bwt" which will help you to know the exact time when the process was started and ended.
but the thing is you have to provide name of the process chain with the date at which it was executed.
another option is - you can double click on start process and on the last process of the chain.
here, you will get both the timings... Start time of the start process will be the start time of your PC and end time of the last process in the chain will be end time of your PC.
    Hope this will help you.
