Can I use socket in code C before use alchemy?

Hello ! I have a C program which create a socket to connect a
server. I want to call this program thanks to the alchemy library
to use in an actionscript program. Is it possible ?
The problem is the instruction sockfd = socket(AF_INET,
SOCK_STREAM, 0); return -1 when I run it in Flex builder (no
problem with the C program compiled with gcc). I don't understand
where is the problem.

It is possible to implement socket support in Alchemy as
Flash does support it. There is lots of documentation on the
socket() API available (I use this reference a lot:
http://www.opengroup.org/onlinepubs/000095399/functions/socket.html).
Is it quick? No -- there are lots of little gotchas. I spent about
two weeks of time working on it spread over two months and did not
get it finished. But don't let me discourage you -- I had a lot of
other stuff on my plate at the same time.

You really should be testing you software before you release it to the public. You code has been disintegrating the past years and I ann many of the co-workers

I'm on OS X 10.8 and have NO idea what it looks like in the windows world. But I know that you have completely LOST any control over your own apps on OS X!

1) I have used LR since V1 and since V4 this software along with ALL adobes software has been fiercely deteriorating.
2) Adobe according to themselves ARE reading and responding to these forums... Unless they support pages are as bull as their "alleged" real human behind a chat ;-)
3) I process around 30,000 images per week in Lightroom (paid work) and let me tell you at that amount of images... This app is not in the pro league... BUT it COULD be... If only adobe would test their software prior to embarkin on the PAYING public... Perhaps because so manu are using pirated versions of adobes software, they have stopped caring.. As a long time paying client I feel *****-slapped !@
I do NOT beta test for adobe ! If they wanna get rid of their bugs, all they need to do is to contact me and add me to the list.. That will fix at least 100 bugs currently IN the ware... But I highly doubt that they beta test this software... If they do, they should REALLY skim thru their testers and relieve them of their duty - No personal offence meant !

FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.

You have to restore it using a computer with iTunes per the knowledge base article above.

No, the VIs you are referring to in LabVIEW use National Instruments DataSocket technology. This is not the same as Windows Sockets communication that you are referring to from Visual C++. They are not compatible to be used together. We do provide libraries for Visual C++ for DataSocket that come with our Measurment Studio package. Measurement Studio includes classes like CNiDataSocket that can be used to communicate with the LabVIEW DataSocket VIs.

It's good to read Antoniad's post. It reassures me that I can use my new iPad as an international communication device which is the reason I purchased the thing. However, I called Verizon today (my provider of cellular data) who told me that I can't just pop in a SIM card as you suggested. He also said that he was from the "Pre-Pay" division of Verizon and he was certain that I couldn't do what I planned to do. I was extremely disappointed as I had called Apple prior to buying the iPad and I read the algorhythm on the website for choosing an iPad before purchasing. Those sources were quite specific and the information seemed clear. I would be able to use my iPad to communicate through cellular connections while traveling on the road, literally, abroad. I was told that I could pop in a data card wherever I was, just as you indicated in your message above, and voila I was good to go. The Verizon rep definitively rained on that parade, but said that I might be able to do this if I have a "Post-Pay" account, a different area of Verizon. I haven't had the chance to talk to this division yet, so I looked to Apple's Support for answers. Maybe I will find out that I can use my iPad as an international communication device while traveling on the road afterall, however, it appears I may need a different type of account (Post-Pay), something I was never warned about. Can I switch to this kind of account? I don't know. I have to find out. If you have any information about this issue, it would be good to share since I strongly suspect there are others who bought the iPad for the same purpose that I have.

Hi there, Please do a quick forum search before posting. This is asked a lot - You can even see a post in the frequently asked questions panel on the main page of this forum section.
BC is a SAAS - Software as a service and a .Net based SQL system - It does not use PHP or mysql and you can not access the server side code.
So to your question - that is a no I am affraid.

Can I use my new Palm desktop software (Centro) to backup my old Treo 700p before syncing the Centro?

My computer crashed shortly before I upgraded to a new Centro. I need to backup the data on my 700p so I can transfer it to the Centro. Do I need to install the old Palm desktop first, or can I use the Centro software to back up the 700p?

The Sprint version of the Centro still ships with Palm Desktop 4.2, which should be the same as you were previously using with your 700p.
My understanding is that only the AT&T and Verizon versions of the Centro (and probably the new Unlocked Centro) ship with the new Desktop 6.2 by Access.
As for the bonus applications, I have the AT&T Centro and all of the bonus apps were actually accessed via online download directly to the phone. And if I remember correctly, Documents To Go v.10 including the desktop application, was also done via download rather than being installed on the disc. Required entering the correct registration/activation codes. I guess they've gotten away from including this software directly on the installation disc.

You can access AFPOD structure using field symbols.
Try below mentioned code in routing:
constants: c_afpod TYPE char30 VALUE '(SAPLCOKO1)AFPOD' .
FIELD-SYMBOLS: <fs_afpod> TYPE ANY .
data: wa_afpod TYPE afpod.
ASSIGN (c_afpod) TO <fs_afpod>.
wa_afpod = <fs_afpod>.
Then later you can use wa_afpod in exit PPCO0007. Hope this will work for you.

You can do nothing if it's not online. With a passcode and iOS 7.1 (there is no 7.2) the device is uselss because it cannot be erased except by you.

I'm new to java. I want to know whether a socket created using Socket() constructor can be used to connect to multiple servers, not necessarily at a particular point of time. ie, i want to connect to various servers using a single socket and register some info abt them, possible using a loop, one by one. I use connect() method to connect to particular server.
In other words is Socket class is mutable.

In short, I don't think so.
Setting the server name for a socket is in the constructor.
Socket s = new Socket("localhost", 501);I don't believe that there are any functions, such as:
s.setHost("localhost");
s.setPort(501);However, JavaDocs suggests that when you use the no-args constructor, your class becomes an automatic SocketImpl class, but you can't reach any of its variables unless you derive from the class, itself. But that's probably a bigger headache than it's worth.
Now TECHNICALY, if you didn't want to create a new variable, you could use:
Socket s = new Socket("localhost", 501);
s.close();
s = new Socket("remotehost", 502);
s.close();However, this is still creating a new instance and thus a new object in memory.
