  • Canceling Auto Recharge

    I am trying to cancel my auto recharge. I have been charged $18 for a 3 month subscription and cannot figure out how to cancel it. 
    In my Skype profile it says I have no subscriptions. When I go to auto-recharge it has a different card listed. 
    I've been trying to cancel this for some time and I'm super frustrated that Skype makes it so difficult to not be automatically charged for a service I do not use.

                    I have an incident yesterday, my skype a/c : suddenly can’t auto recharge, and the auto recharge has been cancelled, the last auto recharge is 23Nov13, we receive the email as below, but for point two, I try recharge the credit manually, it success, attached the success email as attachment , and for point one, I haven’t cancel or modify any configuration over several months, Please help to find out what problem make this fault ASAP and prevent it happen again, thank you.

    This is one of those sets of issues which can be resolved only by contacting Skype Customer Service directly to enquire why the change was effected.  We here in the Community do not have access to Skype account or Skype Manager account details.  As a proactive measure, I would change all Skype account and payment method account passwords immediately if this has not already been done.

    You will need to proceed through each step, one at a time. Sign on to the Skype website as requested. Choose the subject and topic which most closely matches the item you need assistance with.   • SCAM ALERT - Auto-recharge cancelled message with...

    I just got an email with this message:
    The Auto-recharge feature on your account has been cancelled because the credit/debit card VISA-SKYPE XXXX-XXXX used for Auto-recharge payments has expired. 
    My card will not expire for a couple of years.  The sending IP address in the header is in Switzerland, ***.   I suspect a SCAM.  Skype should warn others.

  • Stolen Password and Auto-recharged 3 times

    Hi, 
    my username is [Removed for privacy] and this morning I received an email saying that auto-recharge has been turned on by my account manager, Thomas (which is me), and I have been charged 3 times for a total of $30.00. I have not logged into my account and did not enable auto-recharge and did not make those purchases. I looked at my bank account and the $30.00 are gone. Someone has stolen my password and purchased those minutes, charging my account. I do not know how this is possible, I never give out my password to anyone. So I went ahead and changed my password this morning. Could these purchases please be cancelled and refunded? I've been looking for a phone number to call or some kind of live chat support but I cannot find any. Please respond asap.

    The steps outlined in Techfreak's post, above, are the steps to take to reach Skype's Customer Service unit.  Yes, Skype employs a longer web-form than most companies who use the customer service web-form plan.
    You may have a problem if you cannot verify the account details.  If you continue to reach an impasse, you might try creating a new Skype account to use, in order to contact Skype Customer Service, to deal with the first account's issues. 
    Another thing to add to your "To Do" list: report the unauthorized charge to the issuer of the payment method you have/had on file, including any third-party payment processing service if you use one (such as PayPal).

  • Trying to update my auto recharge credit info

    My credit card for auto recharge has expired and I want to update my file with the new information.  The credit card number has changed and my account will not allow me to make the necessary changes.  I add as per the instructions and then it reverts back to the old account as if unsaved.  Can I just get someone there to add it for me?  Is there someone I can call instead of doing it online?

    Well, today my tools are going to be deactivated because my account is expiring.
    Still no solution or feedback on the status of the issue relating to the fact that my valid credit card is stuck in a processing limbo in their payment system.
    The biggest lesson learned is that subscription software & cloud based services are too risky for a professional production pipeline.
    Imagine if I had employees and a huge deadline this week, I would have to explain to my clients that the reason I can't deliver is because Adobe can't process my credit card for whatever reason, and they deactivated my tools.
    Now, I probably won't be able to work today but at least this situation as forced me to re-evaluate how I'm going to build my new workflows and those of my clients.
    I was actually planning to convert my video production pipeline to Adobe Premiere but now, it's guaranteed I'm staying with Final Cut.
    Same thing for my photo retouching & motion workflows, I'm stripping out every Adobe Cloud tool from it.

    I have used the options of not enable the auto recharge option and also deleted my credit card information but for the last two month Skype is charging a $10.00 credit that I havent asked for and that isn't visible in my skype credit. I only see a payment charge every month made by skype.
    I already explored all the options and cancelled all subscription but it's still happening. How can I solve this?

    Want to cancel auto-renewal; don't use Revel. This link http://www.adobe.com/go/revel_my_subscriptions_en. is not a link to cancel subscriptions, it's a link that takes me to a page that says I have to cancel using my iPhone, but since I don't have an iPhone, that's not very helpful. The information on using my computer to cancel via Apple ID is also useless, since my subscription does not appear.
    The link which says "call support" only takes me to the support page, which then takes me to the page talking about iPhones again.
