Cancel Invoice on past Billing date

Hello All,
Is it possible that sytem should not allow billing date of cancel invoice before the date of actual billing document generated.
e.g I have created a billing document on 01.12.2009. If I try to cancel invoice for billing date  25.11.2009  system should not allow me.Currently it is happeing as system generate cancel invoice document for previous dates.
Is There any standard way to block or any other solution possible?
Your prompt response is highly appreciable

  • Invoice List - Calculation of the Billing Date

    Hello,
I'm facing some problems by setting up the invoice lists in our system. I added a factory calendar to the customer who has to receive invoice lists and the field VBRK-FKDAT_RL is filled so I'm able to create the list.
My problem now is, that the system will ever use the Billing Date of the Real Invoice also as Billing Date for the Invlice List and if I try to create a list for e.g. four invoices created on four different days I will receive four Invoice Lists instead of one.
How can I control the billing date for the invoice list so that, e.g. the customer receive an invoice list for every quarter? Or monthly? Or..?
Thanks in advance for your help.
    Kind regards
    Sascha

    Hello,
I know this is an old thread, and you were able so solve your problem.
Neverthless, since I had more or less exactly the same problem and was only able to solve it, for e.g. a weekly periodicity after some try and error, I wanted to present the solution for this invoice list periodicity:
Valid From      Valid To     Workday           Text
01.05.2014  06.05.2014    (not checked)    First week May
08.05.2014  13.05.2014    (not checked)    Second week May
    ... and so on.
It is important to EXCLUDE the day in the definition of the weekly periods, that the is supposed to be the next available invoice list date, which is then filled in the invoice Header (FKDAT_RL in VBRK) at the time of invoice creation.
At the same time I have all work days checked in the first screen of factory calendar maintenance.
Hope this is helpful for people running into the problem.
    Cheers,
    Steffen

  • Invoice List Consolidation with different billing date

    Hi!
Want to consolidation different billing date billings into 1 invoice list!
    but system will split it,
    How can I do??
    Thanks

    Hi,
Please check note 317935 Invoice Split Criteria for Invoice Lists
Different Billing Dates for the invoice list from the original invoices will automatically cause invoices to split into multiple invoice lists. This is standard functionality.  The primary way to avoid this is to enter a date as a default billing date in transaction VF21 or to modify the report from transaction VF24.
If you do not enter a default billing date and the dates from the individual invoices differ, than the invoice lists will be split into as
many invoice lists as there are different dates.

  • Invoice List Billing date is incorrect

    Hi Gurus!
I have a problem. when we try to create an invoice list, the billing date is always the same date, no matter what date we create the invoice list. yesterday jan 18 we created an invoice list and the billing date is always june 23 2006.
i have checked the factory calendar, it has no public holiday and all days of the week are checked.
please help me, i'm already losing my mind! XD

    Hi,
Since we installed new support packages we are also facing this problem. System takes billing plan date instead of current date (date invoice is created). Huge problem when invoices are send to customer with a date of last year...

  • Difference between Invoice created date and billing date.

    Hi Gurus,
I opened the Billing Document in display mode(T.Code:VF03).In header data I found two tabs one is Created On and another one is Billing Date. Here in the billing document the both dates were different.
Please let me know the difference between Created On date and Billing Date.
    your afforts are highly appriciated.
    JYothi.

    Dear Jyothisd,
Invoice created date : Invoice created date is nothing but the date on which you have created the invoice.
Billingdate:Billing date is the date on which you suppose to do the billing for respective customer. Tease billing dates will be proposed to invoice from sales order if it is order related  or else actual goods issue date is proposed to billing document as a Billing date if particular billing document is delivery related.
If you want you can change the Actual billing date the result is invoice created date.
Please revert if you want any further clarifications
    Thanks&Regards

  • Invoice cancelation Date to original Billing Date

    Hello ALL,
When we try to cancel the invoice which was created in Last Month it is picking invoice created date. When canceling an invoice, the creation date of the initial invoice is the default date for the cancellation.  This causes an issue when the invoice was originally created in a month that is now closed.
for example invoice created in July .and July Period were closed. now when we are trying to cancel the invoice it is taking invoice date ie july.but where as  it should take current date. please let me know how can i work around.
    Thanks
    Raju.

    Hello to all,
I have been reading this subject about how to influence billing date when canceling invoice.
I have the same problem, because copy control does not exit between F2 and S1 in SAP ERP 4.7, and I could not find any user exits that are valid for this purpose.
There are lots of user exit for creating or changing invoice but for cancellation, I could not find any that works.
I would be grateful if you could share how did you resolve your problem, or if you have some tips on how to resolve mine.
    Thank you,

  • Change Billing Date in Invoice cancellation document

    Hello,
I need to modify the billing date in a Invoice cancellation document from the defaulted billing date copied from the original invoice to the present date of cancellation. Can any one please suggest a user exit for that?
Thanks in advance for your help .

    Hello Richard
The problem with this exit is that I have already used USEREXIT_NUMBER_RANGE in a previous enhancement and as per its comment(shown below)USEREXIT_NUMBER_RANGE will not be triggered anymore if I use it.
If this userexit is active the USEREXIT_NUMBER_RANGE
is not processed anymore, that means this userexit has * priority.

  • Invoice cancellation doc picking up billing doc creation date

    hi,
i am cancelling an invoice document which was created and posted last month(july- mm period closed,fi still open) but the cancelled accounting document  is picking up the invoice creation date rather today's date. help would be appreciated.
    regards
    leo

    Hi Leo,
When any invoice is cancelled it will automatically pick the original invoice date.
If you want other date on which the cancelled invoice has to be created can give the date in the billing date field, so that it wil creat cancelled invoice on date you entered when cancelling
    T.code VF11.
    kindly reward points if usefull.

  • Default Billing date for cancellation of F2 invoice

    Hello
I am trying to default the billing date to the system date in the cancellation document, but it is not working. Can someone give me advice with my customize settings? My invoice is F2 and my cancellation is S1 (ECC 6.0)
In Billing copy control (VTFF), billing ->billing, I go to the settings for F2 -> S1.
At the header screen, copying requirements and other values are blank. Do I need to maintain any values here?
At the item screen for my item (TAN), copying reqs is set to 005 (Cancellation Header), Data VBRK/VBRP is set to 011 (Bill date = today).
If anyone can give me advice on my settings, it would be greatly appreciated
    Regards

Use the include program for invoice <b>RV60AFZC</b>
in the userexit USEREXIT_NUMBER_RANGE_INV_DATE you have to do the coding.
<b>For using this userexit make sure that you are not using USEREXIT_NUMBER_RANGE for assigning internal number range to invoices of different plant/company code.</b>
The following codes will make all invoices created (S1 or F2) take system date by default, you can modify it to make it work only for S1 (Cancellation invoice)
    FORM USEREXIT_NUMBER_RANGE_INV_DATE USING US_RANGE_INTERN.
Example: Number range from TVFK like in standard
    US_RANGE_INTERN = TVFK-NUMKI.
    *{   INSERT        DEVK906746
    data : date  type dats.
    date = sy-datum.
    vbrk-fkdat = date.
    modify vbrk.
    *}   INSERT
    ENDFORM.

  • Posting of cancelled Invoice after posting date is over

    Hello Experts,
I am stuck up with a situation and as such seek your help.
A invoice was generated and the subsequent accounting document was also cleared. Now after the posting date was over, someone cancelled the invoice by T.code VF11 and as expected it didnt get posted .The document flow showing is as per below :
    Order - open
    Invoice - completed
    Accounting Document - Cleared
    Cancel Invoice - Open
Now, the business and their audit policies do not allow the client to cancel the invoice in back date ( within the posting period).
What are the options do we have to tackle the situation.
    Joy

The issue has been temporarily addressed by changing the posting date.
However, now the client wants us to make an ABAP development so that no user is able to cancel the invoice after posting date is over. Now for that I have the following issues. Can someone please help me out in this.
The basic process details I am following is as per below:
For Transaction Code VF11 (i.e for Cancellation of Invoice) , when the invoice number which is subject to cancellation is provided, the System should search in VBRK table for the following :-
1)The System will at first search whether the entry exists or not. If the Entry is not valid then it should give an message u201C Document xxxxx does not Existu201D.This is in line to the existing practice.
    2) If the Document number is valid then it will go to the billing date field and  will fetch the value from the VBRK table . Then it will match  whether the value fetched (i.e. this Invoice date)  is in present posting period or not. The system can find the posting period from the table V_T001B.
a.If  the  Invoice date lies in the present posting period then the system will allow the cancellation document to be saved. This is in line to the existing process.
b.If the Invoice date lies beyond the present posting period then the system will not allow to save the cancellation of the Invoice with a pop up message of u201C The Document number subject to cancellation do not lie within the present posting periodu201D .
Now We have looked both the tables, from VBRK we will get Doc# and Billing date(FKDAT) but when we select Posting Date from table T001B( Permitted Posting Periods) there is some issue.
    1.  What will be the condition for selecting records from T001B table.Since there is multiple key fields
        RRCTY (Record Type) ,
        BUKRS (Posting Period Variant) ,
        MKOAR (Account Type or Masking)
        BKONT (To Account).
So, to get unique record what will be the value of this key fields. Is there any relationship with VBRK table ?
    2.  Which field I have to consider as Posting Date or Period. Because there are many fields related to Posting period.

    Hi MK
In Standard it is not possible to do any changes in the cancelled invoice. When you create invoice again then you can manually enter the foreign trade data. But make sure that  foreign trade data is also maintained.,so that you should not face any error while creating billing document

  • Document date determination of cancellation invoice

    Hi, Gurus,
I wonder how the FI doc's document date be determined if I make a cancellation invoice via VF11.
I have many cancellation invoices in my system, but it's strange that some invoices' subsequent FI documens have the same document date as posting date, but other invoices's FI documents have the different document date as posting date, which use the document date coming from the FI document created by the cancelled invoice.
I have looked into the issue. I know the posting date will come from the issue invoice date, but how about the document date?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Receiving Bill/Invoice 11 after the billing date

For the past few months I have been receiving my bill 10 to 11 days after the billing date listed in the invoice.  This month we received the bill on 7/20/15 and the billing date listed on the invoice was 7/9/15.  This leaves me with a very short window to pay the bill on time, especially when we are traveling and the bill arrives while we are away.  Seems to me 7 days to respond is unreasonable.  Is there some law or simple code that stipulates a reasonable time to pay?  The billing date implies theres a 20 day allowance but when the bill only arrives in the mail 10 to 12 days after the billing date seems to me something is amiss.  Its not like our state is another country.  Even snail mail doesnt take 10 to 12 days to arrive.  Is this a scheme to incentivise us to move to auto-pay?  If I wanted to auto-pay I would have done it years ago.  We only use comcast for our internet service and the way its been going not for much longer.  There's plenty of competion out there.  Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

    Hello L2lute,
I'll be more than happy to address your concerns. I will send you a private message to discuss your account concerns further.

  • Billing Date on IV invoice

    Hi,
We are using intercompany scenarios frequently.  We do have the POD relevancy from customers, once we get the POD confirmation date then only we can bill the customers using F2 billing type. As we are using Revenue Recognition we do have  some logic (as per the agreement with the customers to get POD confirmation,  Ex: transit time) and we run a back ground job to get the POD confirmation dates set on deliveries.
In most of the scenarios we do have the F2 and IV billing dates similar only.
But in few cases we have the IV billing date later one, when compared to F2 Invoice.
Ex: F2 billing date 01-12-2009, IV billing date 3-12-2009, in this case IV billing date should be as F2 date,  In some countries like Italy this kind of behavior is not acceptable to the legal authority.
Because first of all we have to update the books with the incoming invoice (IV in this case) first and then we have to sell it to customers.
As this is not happening in all cases, I  tried to find out the reason in all the ways like, debug etc, did not find any clue.
    any idea from any one,
    Thanks in advance,
    Venkat Cheedalla

    Hi Rachelle,
As far as I know, we cannot post an invoice in the past for accounting, if the relevant past peiod is already closed.
Opening a past period to post is not a recommended practice in accounting (if the month end closing is already done) and hence, you may have no alternative except to post this in the available latest open period (which may be the current period)

  • Billing date on rebill invoice

    Hello,
This is a credit & rebill situation (due to tax error, for example). I'd like to be able to give the customer a new, corrected invoice with the same billing date as the original. However, if the credit & rebill is happening in a subsequent period to the original invoice I do not want to have to open the prior period. Is there anything in config that can allow this?
The 'credit memo with value data' checkbox is useful in this situation because it sets the ageing of the rebill to the same baseline date as the original invoice.
Is there anything similar for the posting/billing date?
If I create my rebill with a billing date in the past it hits VFX3. I can not release it to accounting without updating the billing date (which I don't want to do) or opening the prior period (which I also don't want to do).
Any thoughts or advice would be much appreciated.
    Cheers,
    Rachelle
