Cannot Create Index in EHP 4 System

Hi there,
We got an Enterprise Search 7.0 and some SAP Systems (ERP 6.0 and a NEW IDES ERP EHP4).
In the ERP 6.0 I can create all Indexes I want to have.
Starting SES_Admin, create Index and go.
I the new EHP 4 System (IDES) it's not possible to create an new Index.
The connection between ES 7.0 and the ERP is fine. The System User got the same Rights like the User in the ERP 6.0.
In the SES_Admin it's possible to select the Business Objects I want to index, but after I have select them (all or some special) I see no Object in the Ses_admin. The message below is : indexes created: 4, indexes activated: 0 .
Anyone an idea what I'm doing wrong?
THX for your Help

I've sold the Problem.
After installing Trex 7.2 the indexes can be created.

  • Solution Manager EWA - cannot create session in satellite system

    "Hi,
I want to configure EWA self service using Solman 4.0. I succesfully did the following :
    a. Maintained SMSY and create the required trusted RFC connections from SM to satellite system. All connection and authorization passed in SM59. I used SAP_ALL/SDCCN_ALL role and assigned objects S_RFC*.
    b. Assigned the system to a logical system.
    c. Created the a new solution and activate "Solutions Monitoring > Earlywatch Alert"
    d. Activated and maintained required RFC in SDCCN in satallite system.
My problem is that the create EWA alert request (Red Flag with a specific session number ) coulnd be pass to the satelitte system even though all the trusted RFC and authorization is set. When i execute the SESSION_REFRESH in the satellite system, the session is not created.
Did I miss out any steps. Can any one share any help ?
FYI, there is no connection to SAPOSS yet, so i did not manage to run RTCCTOOL completed, but i doubt this is required for EWA self service."
I  have the same problem as Solution Manager EWA - cannot create session in satellite system
tried all of solutions,  but it does not help... Created the CM (high) for SAP, but get 1 response for 1 week from them:(

    Dear Sapbcer,
Have you tried the following option :
Execute SMSY and from the Server entry Execute the "Read System Data Remote" option in change mode.
Save the data captured and then try using Refresh Session Task from SDCCN of the satellite system. Do select the RFC for Solution Manager while performing this task.
    Hope this helps.

The -Djava.io.tmpdir=C:\temp setting must be made in the server properties of the oc4j in order for it to work.

  • Solaris 9 - INIT: Cannot create /var/adm/utmpx (System Hangs)

    Hello,
I am unable to boot into solaris 9 after I did a init 0. I did init 0 because shutdown -y -g0 -i0 did not work.
This is the error message I get
    Hardware watchdog enabled

After it asks for the password it HANGS.
I entered the password, but NOTHING HAPPENS.
I can go into sc console though.
I also rebooted using Solaris 9 cdrom in single user mode. Checked the filesystem using fsck, and no faults were found. I also tried creating a new /var/adm/utmpx file but that did not work too.
    Any help would be appreciated,
    Thank you,
    Jacob.

    Hello,
Check for /var filesystem usage,if it is not mouted as seperate filesystem then check for "/" FS usage.
There may be chances you get to have this problem if your FS is full.
If everything normal then follow the below steps, which solved similar kind of issues in the past for me.
Logon to the system and when you get prompt just run fsck on your root filesystem.
Check /etc/vfstab file to ensure that you are running fsck on correct fs name.
After completing fsck just say "reboot". The machine will boot normally.
In b/w is this machine disks are mirrored?? if so then you may need to choose the disks carefully before you run fsck.
    thanks.

  • SRMO - Cannot delete Index Category after System Copy

    Hi,
I am trying to delete incorrect Index Categories using t-code SRMO after a system copy (restore db from backup) from our production system to our sandbox system.
When I select the Index Category  and click on the "Delete Category" button I get this message:
Error during deletion of language 'EN'. Search
    engine result '3147'
When I click on the Help button I get this:
Error during deletion of language 'EN'. Search engine result '3147'
    Message no. SRET148
    Diagnosis
When the index category is deleted, all languages, and consequently all physical indices on the search server (RFC server) are deleted.
If a physical index could not be deleted, the index category is not deleted or set to inactive either. This is to prevent the index from staying on the search server without R/3 inforamtion.
    Procedure
Firstly clean up all languages / indexes for which this information appears.
Use the function to delete an index without R/3 information (if such an index exists) and / or  the function to delete the language without an index from the R/3 System.
You can then call the function 'Delete index category' again.
Any ideas on what function they are talking about in the second to last paragraph: "function to delete an index without r/3 information"?
    Thank you,
    Neil

I have exactly the same problem, only that the index category still can't be deleted even after I deleted the languages first. I still get the error message '3147'. It says that there was an error deleting the languages. As procedure it is suggested (as before) to first delete the languages and then again the index category. But the languages are no longer displayed in the index category.
Does anybody know how I should proceed in order to delete the old invalid index and to create a new one for indexing with the new TREX?

  • Creating Indexes in Cluster Tables

    Hi,
I want to  enable the index for the a cluster table..how is it possible..As we see for transparent tables like MSEG ,index tab is enabled but tables like BSEG the option is disabled..Please help me find a solution..
    Regards
    Maria

You cannot create index on cluster table in SAP.
BSEG is a cluster table, so no index, but hopefully there are "database indexes" on BSEG, which are actual database table : BSIS, BSAS, BSID, BSAS, and so on.
    BSEG Access
BSAD Accounting: Secondary index for customers (cleared items)
BSAK Accounting: Secondary index for vendors (cleared items)
BSAS Accounting: Secondary index for G/L accounts (cleared items)
BSID Accounting: Secondary index for customers
BSIK Accounting: Secondary index for vendors
BSIM Secondary Index, Documents for Material
BSIS Accounting: Secondary index for G/L accounts
    Create index on these tables.

    Hi all,
I am doing a IDES system copy. I ran the report SMIGR_CREATE_DLL , the export activities have been completed successfully as well on the source system. Now on the target system, during the import, I am getting the following error in the log file SAPDFACT.log.

The owner for this table is SAPSR3. Some oracle forums suggested to drop the index before recreating it. But when i do "drop index SAPSR3."/BI0/E0RSTT_C06~P..it says.."the specified index does not exist". But when I go to recreate this index, it doesn get created successfully. After that when I re-run the import, it again fails. Suprisingly..now if i go to check if this index is present thru a sql querry:
select owner, object_name, object_type from dba_objects where object_name='SAPSR3."/BI0/E0RSTT_C06~P"', it tells "no rows selected". This is happening everytime, I create an index, where it gets created successfully, and the import again fails with the same error in SAPDFACT.log.
I found an SAP note 885441 named..common errors during migration..although mine isnt a migration..my both source and destination are Red hat 64 bit platform.
The note 1st asks to download the latest R3load..which I did and extracted in the kernel directory of the source..then it also asked to edit the .TSK file..in my case..SAPDFACT.TSK..where the lines:
    I /BIC/E<Cubename>~<index> C err
    to  I /BIC/E<Cubename>~<index> C ign..
I did that..this time..the import again fails..but in the SAPDFACT.log..it complains about some other index..n the same gets generated in the .TSK file as well..the earlier index error is not again generated.
I am not sure..what is going wrong..my export went through successfully.i have done the prep steps for export as well..before that i ran the SMIGR_CREATE_DLL report as well..
    Any inputs are highly appreciated..

  • Cannot create InfoArea (Source System ID Problem)

    Hi,
I cannot create an InfoArea in our BW TestSystem due to the source system ID. I get the following message...
"Choose a Change Request with Target System CCX"
The Performance Asst. gives me the following protocol.....
    Diagnosis
The selected change request CC7K900485 has target system .
However, the objects you edit can only be recorded in change requests with the target system CCX.
The correct target system is determined from the package and transport layer to which the object concerned belongs.
    System Response
The selected change request CC7K900485 is not used to record the objects.
    Procedure
Either choose a different change request or change the target system of the change request CC7K900485.
From the prompt window for change requests, you can display all requests you can use by choosing Own requests.
Alternatively, you can create a new request by choosing Create request.
For more information, see the SAP Library under BC - Basis Components -> Change and Transport System .
I have been in the SourceSystem ID Maintenance (CtrlShiftF11) and noticed that all system ID are two lettered. Could you pls explain how I proceed with this problem.
    Thanks,

    Hi Srinivas.
Thanks for ur advice. I am on the Requests (Free Selection) screen after going through SE03 and can see the Request CC7K900485. Under that there are a lot of users with comments like "Development/Correction" or "Repair". Could u help me with how I can change the target system to CCX.

  • Streams cannot create an index

    HI All,
I am currently implementing an Oracle Streams setup to stream a schema from one database to another database. While I have been able to overcome most problems so far, I currently have an issue where the streams apply process cannot create an index in the destination.
I have effectively disabled VPD on the destination, and granted every privilege I can think of directly to the streams administrator, but still the transaction returns "ORA-00942: table or view does not exist". No other errors are listed - none about prilileges, open cursors or other possible problems
I have searched Metalink, and found two notes (264477.1 and 276805.1), however neither really describe the problem, nor do their solutions help.
Environment details are Oracle 11.1.0.7 on Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.3 (Tikanga)
I have created a script which summarises attempted solutions, whose output is included below - appologies for the length.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    HI All,
I am currently implementing an Oracle Streams setup to stream a schema from one database to another database.
    Gavin

As the user in question, when I browse \\san.f.q.d.n\share$\username, the BACKUP directory exists, but there are no sub directories.
I manually created the sub directories, USERNAME\USMT - so the full path now exists: \\san.f.q.d.n\share$\username\BACKUP\USERNAME\USMT
I re-ran USMT but the process returned the same error.
If I specify other shares not on san.f.q.d.n but on san1.f.q.d.n or server.f.q.d.n or even workstation.f.q.d.n, it works fine.
Can someone provide guidance on how to troubleshoot this further?

In Windows, setting the Environmental Variable sometimes DOES NOT WORK.
The -Djava.io.tmpdir=C:\temp setting must be made in the server properties of the oc4j in order for it to work.
