Cannot import VM template after VM server IP address chanegd

My VM server and pool IP got changed. I manage to get it back to active status. Now my problem is I cannot see any template in the seed_pool folder. Is there any metadata to sync up?

Single server with server pool master, utility and vm server.

If you deleted the server pool and recreated it all information of the serverpool has been dropped.
Fortunately your server still has the information.
Unfortunately you need to reimport everything by hand... There is no option like "sync" my new server.
This import can be done via the OVM Manager:
Resources => Virtual Machine Image => Import.

Cannot see my template after copying site to laptop

I copied a site I created in Dreamweaver CC from the computer I created it on to a laptop. On the laptop, I am unable to create a new page from the template as the template does not show up in the "New" menu even though it is there in the list of files. Also, changes to the template do not update the child pages anymore. How can I manage this copied site so that the template functions correctly?

Go to Site > New Site. See screenshots.
If you intend to upload files from your Laptop to your Remote Server, you'll need to enter your FTP Log-in Credentials under Servers.

Cannot import OD archive on standalone server to promote to OD master

According to page 169 of th OD server manual, I should be able to restore an OD archive on a standalone server - which will then promote it to OD master. The "..." in the Archive/Restore window is shaded and will not allow me to choose a file to restore from. Tried dragging it in too... didn't work.
Any ideas?

It also says on Page 168:
Instead of restoring an Open Directory master from an archive
you may get better results by promoting a replica to be the master.
The replica may have more recent directory and authentication data than the archive.
Restoring an LDAP database in my view should be done after promotion to Open Directory Master. If the DNS Service is not configured and running then I can’t see how restoring the LDAP database to a Standalone server will restore that service. I also happen to think that if you restore an LDAP database from an OD Master that was having problems then you could possibly be restoring the problem again. Nothing needs to be restored to a Replica as the Replica will pick up what it needs from the Master. Page 169 of the Manual also says:
An Open Directory master requires properly configured DNS so it can
provide single sign-on Kerberos authentication.

Message: cannot import xml, even after exporting using file, export, xml, and not touching the file

I need to change the messages for a different language. Has anyone been able to set this XML file to import? Some of the content is in Norwegian, but don't how that will affect it. But it will not import a file, even if it was just exported.

I tried few import/export scenarios in captivate 7 and it works fine for me. I think it will be a good idea if you can mail me the .xml file along with steps to reproduce the issue.

Cannot import adobe templates into Adobe Edge Animate

I downloaded a few example files provided online by adobe for Edge Animate.
Went into the program selected "Create from Template"
Selected the .antmpl file
selected the file preview in the window and clicked open...
Nothing.. it doesn't do anything, it takes me right back to my blank document. I've tried with multiple files with the same results. My CC app is uptodate. Any ideas?

On the left side. Before you can create from a template you need to have at least one template. You can download templates here:

Cannot import a CD after upgrading to 11.0.1

I just upgraded to 11.0.1 and tried to import a Christmas CD I just bought. When I try this I get the following message: Error occurred while converting the file "Cause It's Christmas". An unknown error occurred.
I have tried different cd drives, I've restarted, rebooted and banged my head off the desk. I've changed the import setting everywhere and still no joy. Never had this problem before. Want the cd ripped so I can play it over the systems but no luck.
Anyone else have this problem and been able to solve it?
I'm on a desktop Mac running 10.7.5 system.
Please help before I have divorced!

To the original question of how to sync. If you have tried the usual routes via selecting Playlists from your Device Music page. And/Or Drag and dropping a playlist onto your device and neither work, it may be that your songs are unchecked.
Right Click on a song in your playlist you are trying to sync. If the entryies at the bottom give you the option to Check selection. Then click this and repeat for all songs in that playlist. You can select all songs in a playlist by Cmd + A
If you see Uncheck Selection then this is not the cause. It must be something else.

Cannot import iMovie files after system reinstall

Tiger 10.4, iMovie 5.01,
Things were oh so easy for a long time then ,wham, everything went haywire.
Was working on vacation video. trip of a lifetime with two families, you know.
Anyway finished movie,did theiDVD sequence then tried to burn. Had issues with audio encoding. Removed the .com.plist.apple thing and couldn't do anything in iDVD.
I saved all of my libraries and iMovie files to an external disk and reinstalled my OS (tiger 10.4) Now i can not open the movie I made just hours before.
Wha Happened?

First of all: Update everything: OS 10.4.2, QT 7.0.1 and iMovie 5.0.2.
Was the external drive PC-formatted or Mac-formatted?

Airports fail to serve DHCP addresses

I am having trouble reconfiguring an existing network with 2 Airport devices -- switching to having the Airports serve addresses via DHCP is failing, and would appreciate help determining what I'm doing wrong here.
Details:
I have a network with a 16-IP public address space x.x.x.208-223. My DSL router/firewall is at x.209, and I have various devices with manually assigned statics IPs in the x.210-x.218 range. The router is configured to serve up the last 4 IP addresses x.219-x.222 via DHCP. Within the static IP range, I have a Time Capsule at x.210 and an Airport Express at x.214, located at far ends of the house, and running differently named wireless networks. They have so far been configured with [Connection sharing: Off (Bridge Mode)] Under Internet > Internet Connection and appropriate manual settings under Internet > TCP/IP.
All has worked fine with this configuration to-date. Our few devices without a static IP were assigned DHCP addresses from the 219-222 range, whether connected via our hard-wired ethernet network, or over either wireless network -- the addresses picked up from the router at 209.
While the 4 addresses available by DHCP were previously sufficient, with the proliferation of mobile devices in my family, it's not enough anymore, and I am trying to reconfigure the Airports to serve up private network blocks 10.0.x.x and 10.0.y.y via DHCP [Connection sharing: Share a public IP address]. This is not working. When I reconfigure either Airport in this manner, network devices connecting via wireless no longer can connect to the internet. Connection to the wireless network itself is fine, but the device is unable to get a DHCP address from the Airport. Instead, after a short delay it gets a self-assigned address in the 169.254.x.x range. This happens with either Airport base station, and both with my iPhone 4 as well as my MacBook Pro.
Thinking that having the router serve DHCP within the public space might be interfering with the Airport DHCP in its own private block, I tried disabling DHCP at the router. Even so, I cannot get the Airports to start serving IP addresses to their wireless clients.
Any suggestions ?

Devices with manually assigned IP addresses in the 209.128.72.210-218 range have worked fine either when connected by ethernet or wireless, and those without (iPhones, etc) have picked up DHCP addresses from the router just fine.
The AE does not need to be a DHCP server.
Unless your needs are very unusual, that setup will work for you.
And so it has worked that way for a while. However, my needs have changed recently. The range of available IPs for DHCP from the router is limited to 4 devices (209.128.72.219-222). That worked fine when we had only 4 devices (iPhone, iPad, Roku, and Blackberry). Now, the kids have wireless devices (iPod touch and an old iPhone). The available range is not sufficient for 6 devices. So, rather than serve wireless devices with addresses from the limited remaining IPs in the public subnet, I want to have the AE serve DHCP in a private network 10.1.x.0/24 , which obviously has alot more room.
I'm willing to try turning off DHCP on the router completely. That doesn't seem to help -- I've tried it twice.

Dreamweaver cannot find, and thus apply, templates after uploading the website to server

I am using Dreamweaver 8, and my problem is like this:
When the site was first built using Dreamweaver, I created a template, after which I was able to apply it to other existing/new pages by [Modify/Templates/Applying Templates to Page].
However, after uploading all te files to the server, and then downloading them back to my computer, when I tried to apply a template to an existing/new page by [Modify/Templates/Applying templates to Page], Dreamweaver showed that there is "no template" in the entire site - despite the fact that the folder containing the .dwt file was successfully downloaded from the server.
Also worth mentioning is that, for the pages that are already attached to the template before I sent the files to the server, they are working just fine even after I have uploaded them.
I saved the files in the following manner:
>ROOT FOLDER
>>>TEMPLATE FOLDER
>>>>>>template.dwt
>>>indext.html
>>>OTHER PAGES FOLDER

I also tried to save the template.dwt directly under "ROOT FOLDER", but that didn't work neither.

Your Files panel (F8) should look like this:
site - YourSiteName (C:\YourSiteName)
     index.html
     -OtherPages
          page1.html
          page2.html
     -Templates
          template.dwt
If your .dwt file is located in any location other than the Templates folder, it won't work.
Templates are not a server-side technology. Templates only work on local files in Dreamweaver.
I suggest you open your template and examine the code to ensure it is valid and that the Editable Regions are properly defined.

Then open a child page made from that template to ensure it is pointing to the correct Template.dwt file in your Templates folder.

After upgrading iTunes software, I cannot import playlists. Help!

To be more clear:
1. My music and my playlists are on an external drive. My playlists are saved as .m3u files.
2. Everything was working perfectly before the iTunes upgrade yesterday. But now when I use the iTunes "File/Library/Import Playlist" feature, the playlist that is imported is EMPTY.
3. I can open the .m3u file and see that it contains the songs with their full path. So the .m3u file contains the correct information, it is just not importing into iTunes like it used to.
4. Apparenty when iTunes upgraded, it changed some setting and now everything is out of sync.
I am so stumped.

Typically this indicates a device that has been hacked to be unlocked or jailbroken.

If your XP computer was updated, then it should work. Again, the links I posted earlier contain the current USB drivers for the iPhone and Windows.

Cannot overwrite Oracle Page after Import

I'm trying to import the modified OpptyDetPG.xml in Oracle but the old PG is not being overwritten/updated. Pls advise how to overwrite it.
The XMLImporter is saying "Import completed." after issuing this command:

One import is enough to overwrite the page..
If the page is not reflected in the server after boucing the apache then try bouncing the whole middle tier.
Stop the instance
cd $INST_TOP/admin/scripts
adstpall.sh apps/apps
Start the instance
