Cannot open Reports in ACS 5.6

Hi,
when opening Reports in ACS 5.6 I'm displayed a blank page. I'm using IE 11.0.14 and Java version 7 update 17. Java content is enabled in browser.
Any ideas why its failing? I cannot see any others having the same problem...

Hi,
Solution for us was cleaning up /opt .
Response regarding TAC:
I’ve checked at the show tech and I noticed that the OPT partition is in a very high percentage
I got this from the output:
/dev/mapper/smosvg-optvol
                      347G  194G  135G  59% /opt
When the partition goes over the 30% the ACS starts to have several issue, from authentication problems to issues accessing the web GUI and mostly, this affects the view-database, which handles part of the Monitoring and reports viewer.
We can clean the OPT partition with a command, but you need to be aware that after doing so, you will lose the logs that are currently stored on ACS and no reports will be seen on the report viewer after this is done.
To clean the OPT partition :
Login to ACS CLI:
#acs-config
-It will prompt you for username and password,
You should enter the GUI credentials.
-once in:
#acsview replace-cleandb
This will stop the ACS services and the process actually takes a while, you can check the acs processes status by executing:
#show application status acs
Al processes should be running after the cleaning finishes

  • RAS error - Cannot open report document. --- 0x80004005

    I am using RAS to open and examine a number of Crystal Reports and everything is working fine with the exception of 1 report.  I can publish this report to a different BOE system and examine it fine without error using the same code, so I am trying to understand why the process is failing.  The specific error thrown is:

    Any insight as to why this error is thrown for this specific report?

  • Native User cannot open report

    Hello all
    I have this problem with this native directory user.
    This is my test user "TEST1"which is a native user.
    In the workspace, I can get into planning app using this user account.
    However, I cannot open reports or get into Excel add-in using this useraccount.
    It gives the error "native directory cannot be provisioned by Planning" kind of message.
    What could be the reason?
    Thanks

    Thanks John,
    The exact message is " @nativedirectory is not completely provisioned by planning".
    This is when I try to pull a report or when I try to log on to Excel add-in.
    I have looked at the the dimension level security, and this TEST user is assigned access. On the entity level, it is assigned "write-descendent inclusive" access on the top most level.
    Moreover, I can see it in the list of filters upon checking: - ADMINISTRATION-MANAGE-SECURITY FILTER..
    Could there be any other issue? Any suggestions?
    Thanks

  • Cannot open reports in XL reporter for SAP 8.8

    Hello we are trying to open up XL reports from SAPB1 (balance sheet etc) and we get the error " A required COM add-in program for XL reporter has not been loaded and prohibits Microsoft Ecel from running".  We added and did all the necessary steps in previos threads in the "options" of excel and no luck. We are trying to run the reports from a Windows 7 64 bit machine which uses Office 64 bit as well. I also read in another thread to uncheck "enable data execution prevention mode", however in the version we are using of excel that option does not show up on the screen (possibly since it is 64 bit). Is there something else we need to do to get the XL reports to work on this machine?

    Hi,
    Welcome you post on the forum.
    What office version are you using, 2007 or 2010?
    Thanks,

  • Cannot open Report Manager URL -- "Unable to Connect to Remote Server"

    Hi,
    I have recently installed SSRS 2012 on my remote server (Native Mode). I had the default configurations set except for the port has been changed to "8081". I created an Inbound Rule in Firewall to make sure it's enabled.
    I'm unable to connect to the report manager locally at all, I got a Domain\username authentication and the credentials are never accepted locally.  I tried accessing my report server using the remote server host name and I was successfully logged in,
    however,  I got a message "Unable to Connect to the remote server".
    I checked the log folder and there was no files created for my unsuccessful login.
    I've been stumbling with this issue for almost a week, Any ideas or suggestions ?

    Hi SB User,
    Per my understanding that after you change the IP to "8081" then you can't connect to the report server both locally and remotely, right?
    Is that mean before you have changed the IP, everything works fine and did you got some pop up window ask for credential when you connect to the report server?
    You issue can be caused by many factors, please try to check details information below and do some configurations:
    Go to Reporting Services Configuration Manager and change the account to "Network Service" to see if it will works fine.
    Change the account to domain account and re-enter the username and password to see if it works fine.
    Remove the SSL if configured.
    Go to C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSRS11.MSSQLSERVER\Reporting Services\ReportServer\rsreportserver.config
    In rsreportserver.config Change the SecureConnectionLevel value to "0":
    <Add Key="SecureConnectionLevel" Value="0"/>
    Stop and restart the report services instance to see if you can connect to report server.
    please also Using IP instead of computer name as the <servername> in the URL to have a test.
    If your issue still exists, please try to change the IP to have a test.
    If you still have any problem,please fee free to ask.

  • Any Mozilla product I install crashes at startup. The first window I see when I open a Mozilla product is the crash reporter. I have tried every possible solution but cannot open anything. It started with firefox. Can anyone please help?

    Hi there, as the question says, I cannot open any Mozilla product. I have tried to install firefox 3.6, older versions of Firefox, Firefox 4.0, Sea Monkey, Thunder Bird and Sun Bird. I have the same problem everytime. I open any of these programs and the first and the only window that appears is the crash reporter. I've tried opening it in Safe Mode and the same occurs. I have tried entirely uninstalling the products incuding the registry keys but no help. I shall post the detailed error reports, if they help solving this issue. Can you kindly look into this and find a solution as I use all of these Mozilla products and my life has been a hell since they've ben down.

  • Cannot delete reports, unless I close and open Eclipse/Tomcat

    Please can someone help me.
    I cannot delete reports. I have not worked out all the details yet but this is what I got so far...
    First I thought it was a problem with my tomcat setup, I would deploy my WAR and run the app. After
    viewing the report and closing the browser. I would not beable to delete the rpt file until I close Tomcat.
    I have now got a similar problem within Eclipse. (as far as I can tell its the same problem but even worse)
    If i create any report and design it or even a new blank report. And not do anything to it, just save it as a blank report. I then try delete the
    report. Right click and then delete.
    After a few seconds Eclipse brings up an error and says it cant delete the file, the reason it gives is
    Problems encountered while deleting resources.
      Could not delete 'C:\WorkSpace\Project\WebContent\Report1.rpt'.
        Problems encountered while deleting files.
          Could not delete: C:\WorkSpace\Project\WebContent\Report1.rpt.
    I have tried creating a fresh new project and only one report. And I still get the error.
    If I try delete the whole project perminatly it also gives the same error. (But deletes the default crystal report)
    I have to close Eclipse and then open it again before I can delete the rpt files properly.
    I have not always had this problem. It used to work fine (dont ask what I have done since
    cause I would not beable to tell, sorry)
    Hopefully someone can help me, as this is driving me insane, and having to stop and start Tomcat every
    time I want to deploy a new test version is not really an option.
    Cheers
    Darren

    Hi Merry,
    Thanks for getting back to me.
    My reports within Eclipse seem to be behaving themselves now and dying gracefully without and hassles,
    so I dont know what fixed that problem as I have not made any changes or done any updates. One of
    those things I guess.
    With regards to TOMCAT still having a handle on the reports, As far as I am aware I am putting the
    report source in session
    Below is my JSP that loads the report
    I store report name in session via a servlet and set all the DB connection details in the servlet also.
    imports....
    try {
       String reportName = session.getAttribute("Report").toString();
       ReportClientDocument clientDoc = (ReportClientDocument) session.getAttribute(reportName);
       if (clientDoc == null) {
          clientDoc = new ReportClientDocument();
          // Open report
          clientDoc.open(reportName, OpenReportOptions._openAsReadOnly);
          // ****** BEGIN LOGON DATASOURCE SNIPPET ****************
             //Call the process to set all the database detail retrieved from web.xml
             // Custom function to set the connection details
             ReportFunctions.setConnection(clientDoc);
          // ****** END LOGON DATASOURCE SNIPPET ****************
          // Store the report document in session
          session.setAttribute(reportName, clientDoc);
       // ****** BEGIN CONNECT CRYSTALREPORTPAGEVIEWER SNIPPET ****************
          // Create the CrystalReportViewer object
          CrystalReportViewer crystalReportPageViewer = new CrystalReportViewer();
          //set the reportsource property of the viewer
          IReportSource reportSource = clientDoc.getReportSource();
          crystalReportPageViewer.setReportSource(reportSource);
          // set viewer attributes
          crystalReportPageViewer.setOwnPage(true);
          crystalReportPageViewer.setOwnForm(true);
          crystalReportPageViewer.setDisplayGroupTree(false);
          crystalReportPageViewer.setHasToggleGroupTreeButton(false);
          crystalReportPageViewer.setHasPrintButton(false);
          crystalReportPageViewer.setEnableDrillDown(false);
          // Process the report
          crystalReportPageViewer.processHttpRequest(request, response, application, null);
       // ****** END CONNECT CRYSTALREPORTPAGEVIEWER SNIPPET ****************
       } catch (ReportSDKExceptionBase e) {
        out.println(e);
    So far its very basic.
    How best can I kill and clean up once the web page is closed. I have tried a few options but dont seem to
    know the best way,
    I tried "onbeforeunload" but I dont know if this is the best practice,
    I have a session listener with sessionDestroyed but have not learnt how to envoke this correctly, or atleast when to correctly call it. And then I dont know how to clean out any loaded reports from here.
    I have used
    request.getSession().invalidate();
    at the end of my JSP but that destoys everything everytime a user does anything on the page, (selecting any of the buttons on the report)
    I am still learning everyday, and so I appoligise for questions that I should really know, am being pushed into the deep end here so trying my best :).
    Thanks again.
    Cheers
    Darren
    Sorry for bumping this back the list, but I am at my wits end as how best to "clean out" the reports
    once they have been closed or timed out.
    Surely there must be a way to release all objects (be it a actaul rpt file or the classes12.jar) once the
    reports have been viewed and closed.
    Even if there is something I can load via another servlet that destroys anything that has to do
    with the main website.
    Thanks and again sorry for moving this back up the list. If i get no replies, ill assume this is impossible
    and that the only way to upload a new version of a report is to shut the whole Tomcat service and
    make the changes.
    Cheers

    Hi NewToReporting,
    From you descriptions, I know you have tow questions: 1.Why the SQL Server Reporting Services does not create virtual directories in the wwwroot? 2. Why the error "A connection to the database is required for all requests and processing" happen? If I have misunderstood, please do not hesitate to let me know.
    One of the changes in SQL Server Reporting Services 2008 is the removal of the Internet Information Services (IIS) dependency. So, we won't see report server virtual directories in the wwwroot folder.
    The second problem is caused by the user '<machine name>\ASPNET' does not have permission to login the SQL Server database "Reports".
    To solve the issue, please follow these steps:
    1.Open SQL Server Reporting Services Configuration Manager(Start - All Programs - Microsoft SQL Server 2008 - Configuration Tools)
    2.Go to "Database" tab.
    3.Click "Change Credential"
    4.In the coming dialog, fill the textboxes with this information(some textboxes are not modifiable )
    Server: <the server name of the report server catalog database>
    Authentication Type: Current User - Integrated Security (This will use the user we are login to connect to the database server.)
    UserName:(If selecting "Current User - Integrated Security", this textbox is not modifiable. )
    Password:(If selecting "Current User - Integrated Security", this textbox is not modifiable. )
    5. Click Next
    6.In the coming dialog, configure the following information:
    Authentication Type: Service Credential(This will use the user the reporting services running under to connect to the report server catalog database. The user is the one we configured in "Service Account" tab)
    UserName:(If selecting "Service Credential", this textbox is not modifiable. )
    Password:(If selecting "Service Credential", this textbox is not modifiable. )
    7.Click Next to confirm the information.
    8.Click Next to apply.
    This will auto add the user  '<machine name>\ASPNET'  to login group, set this user to be the owner of report server catalog database, and also give this user "RSExce" role.
    Now, we are able to connect to the report server.
