  • Visual Studio 2010 Message Definition of symbol cannot be located

    Hello,
This is Ashish here from Yokohama Japan.
I am a regular user of Visual studio 2010, And recently with new license I found one issue that when I try to jump to the definition of the defines in my code it pops up an error that "Message Definition of symbol cannot be located "
But I am able to compile my code successfully, if the symbol could not be located it would not compile the code also.
    Please help me with this
    Regards
    Ashish

    Hi Ashish,
Which kind of app did you create in your VS2010, VC++?
    >>when I try to jump to the definition of the defines in my code it pops up an error that "Message Definition of symbol cannot be located".
Whether it is related to the settings under Tools -> Options -> Text Editor -> C/C++ -> Advanced -> Recreate Database?

  • Why GPS symbols cannot exit after i exit ovi maps ...

i have one something problem for my hp nokia n86,
why gps symbols cannot exit  after i close my ovi map. after i exit ovi  maps the gps symbols still display, please help me for solved this problem , i used firmware 30.009, latest ovi maps v3.04

Okay then, the best solution maybe to remove Ovi Maps from your phone, backup all your contacts, messages etc. (not settings)  to memory card or PC, remove the memory card and then try the resets in the order below, then re-installing Ovi Maps. Please note, if you don't back up your phone's data before resetting, you will lose everything!
Factory settings reset. In standby, dial *#7780# and the phone's security code (the nokia's default security code is 12345). This reset restores phone's original settings.
Soft reset. In standby dial *#7370# and the phone's security code. Soft reset deletes ALL your phone's data!
Hard reset (the three key code/reset). Turn off the phone. Press and hold three keys together, the green/talk key, the * key and the number '3'.Then, turn on the phone and don't let the three keys before you see the nokia hands logo/nokia boot up screen.  Hard reset also deletes ALL data on your phone!
    Good luck!

  • Firefox is not responding after clicking on symbol, Cannot delete firefox because it tells me that it is still open! Windows 7 64 bit

Firefox is not responding at all. Would like to delete it and reinstall, however when trying to uninstall a message appears that I first have to close firefox! In short: cannot delete firefox, cannot reinstall, cannot use it. Operating system Windows 7, 64 bit, Sony VAIO Laptop PCG 81213M. Firefox has been working fine before. IE is working fine.

This may help if you have had the same problem as me on occasions.
Right click on a blank area of the Task-Bar. Select "Start task manager" from the menu that appears. Along the top of the "Task manager window" select the "Processes" tab. You will see a list of running processes. Scroll down the list until you see Firefox. Highlight it and click on the "end process" button at the bottom right. Click "end process" on the warning popup that appears. Firefox should disappear from the list. Now you should be able to start it or uninstall. If Firefox doesnt appear in the list at all then this fix is not for you. Hope this helps.

  • Symbol __SUNW_init_wiostreams: referenced symbol not found

We have an executable built with the 5.2 compiler that fails on Solaris 10 with the 119963-08 patch installed. It gets the error in the subject line:
ld.so.1: <executable>: fatal: relocation error: file <full path to exe>: symbol __SUNW_init_wiostreams: referenced symbol not found
However, if we remove the patch, the executable runs just fine. We do not link libCstd statically; all system libs are linked dynamically.
Any suggestions on how to track this down?

please refer infoDoc#89603, recompile the program will resolve the issue, then could you please send your app sample code to me ([email protected]) so that I can made the doc more perfect.

  • Symbol __snprintf: referenced symbol not found

    Hi ALL,
    I complied a gui binary in solar 5.5.1 & try it run in 5.6 & 5.7.
while executing its giving error like this,
ld.so.1: ./jobscape: fatal: relocation error: file ./jobscape: symbol __snprintf: referenced symbol not found
    [1] + Killed ./jobscape &
    It works fine in 5.5.1.
I know this __snprintf is not there in libc.a(5.7) but its there in 5.5.1.
Can any one know how to resolve this problem ??
    thanks,
    Prashanth

Interesting. The private __snprintf() routine was removed in 2.6, also, the public interface
snprintf() was added in 2.6. So, it looks like your binary links the private __snprintf(). Is
the reference to __snprintf() in your source files? If so, there may be some hacks you
can use to make it work. Refer to bugid 4123963 for details.

Is the error message displayed in Firefox or in IE, or in a customized window that doesn't identify the browser?
    ''If it displays in Firefox:''
It's possible that the Troubleshooter doesn't work correctly unless IE is your default browser. You could test that possibility by having IE make itself the default and testing the Troubleshooter again.
''If it displays in IE or embedded in another Microsoft application:''
In a web search I found these suggestions:
    (1) Reset your Internet Explorer settings, according to http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/ie/forum/ie8-windows_7/cannot-view-xml-using-xsl-style-sheet/ccfe80c6-c0db-4594-a7e3-475f9eac0e85
    (2) Try the System File Checker, according to http://ask-leo.com/why_do_i_get_the_xml_page_cannot_be_displayed_after_running_a_microsoft_troubleshooter.html
    Any luck?

when ipod is switched on the screen shows a usb cable symbol and itunes symbol, and it wont let me switch it on even though it is fully charged up, why is this?

It is either an erased iPod or an iPod that has a problem. The screen is telling you to connect the iPod to your computer via the USB cable and restore via iTunes. For how to restore see:

  • Linked symbols inside a symbol.

Working with multi-art board documents we need a way to use externally linked symbols inside a symbol in the document. Example: A Button.ai file is used in multiple documents (imaging large project with 100s of pages). The lined button symbol can't be used (Or any linked file) within a symbol. This is a very annoying limitation that requires manually update a button symbol kept in 10th of files.

Hitting "edit" is not a big deal. The grid is a big deal. If you need to adjust the size based on the grid then... you need create the same grid in the linked file and position the artwork precisely. If later on you want to adjust the grid you need to do it manually in all your linked file. Complex, is it not?
Also to be able to preview a change one need to hit save and get back to the original file...
Again all that isn't a big deal for a simple file when you need to adjust a linked image. If we talk about pixel perfect UI design - forget it.

  • Add "make unique symbol" to the symbol context menu

There are many times I need to make a "variation" of a symbol that should also become a symbol. The current method requires several unnecessary steps. I'd like an option in the "Symbol" context menu called "Make unique Symbol". It would duplicate the current symbol in the symbol palette and link the current symbol instance to it.

I agree the context menu entry is useful and I also use TMP for it. Firefox does have a built-in option to duplicate a tab. Hold down the control key, then drag the tab onto the tab bar and it will create a duplicate.
You may already be aware, but there is a development version of Tab Mix Plus for Firefox 4 available from http://tmp.garyr.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10888

I am trying to build a matlab s-function using Sun Studio 10 compilers. The program compiles but when I try to load it into matlab I get

This is a mixed Fortran and C program.
The fortran code is compiled with
    f90 -c -I/apps/matlab/14sp3.p/vendor/extern/include -I/apps/matlab/14sp3.p/vendor/simulink/include -KPIC -C -e -u -O2 -v -r8const -mt -xopenmp base_main.f

an elfdump of the mtsk library leads me to believe the __mt_MasterFunction_ is defined in that library.
