Cannot unlock transport request

Hi,
This morning I was trying to delete a transport request that is hanging around in one of my production clients and to my surprise first it said it was protected, then after I unprotect the request, when trying to delete it then tells me that it is locked, the request has no objects and in TLOCK table appears as locked but I´m unable to unlock it. Of course this was not released.
Any Ideas??
Thanks in advance

Hi Alberto,
did you try in SE03 and then Request Tasks -> Unlock Objects (Expert tool) ?
There you will find option to unlock the object list of the transport request.
Cheers !!

  • ChaRM - Developer cannot create transport request

    Hi, I have 2 questions.
1 - We have a Request for Change created, after the change got approved, this created the Normal Change document. Is this the way it should work?
2 - After the Approval, the developer logs in to create the transport request. The system and client is disabled ad the short description comes with some weird text. We have a solution created and the solution has the development system within the logical component in it. Please help..
    Thanks in advance..

    Hi Jim,
There is a context node error in your screen (BTAICTRANSPORTH not bound). Please check the following in your system:
Call transaction 'BSP_WD_CMPWB', enter the UI component name AIC_CM_TRANS_CR and choose display.
    Open up the node 'Views'.
Double-click on view AIC_CM_TRANS_CR/TransportReqPage1. You will come to a view detail screen.
On the right hand side open up the node 'View Layout' in the tree and double-click on the htm page TransportReqPage1.htm.
    Choose tab 'Page attributes'.
Please check if you see BTTRANSREQ as in the picture below:

  • Cannot Transport Request - QA to Proc

    Hi,
I exported a program from BW Dev. to BW QA. While in BW Dev., I saved the program to a package. After transporting it to QA, i went to the program. In the change 'Object Directory Entry' for this program in QA, the package name and Original system name are what
i gave in Dev. Now, I want to export the program to production box. When i went to SE09 in QA, i cannot see any request. I assume it is because of the package and Original system name. In the Object directory entry screen, i switched to change mode. But, only the
'Person Responsible name' is what it allows me to edit. I do not have authorizations to goto the change mode of the program in QA. I can only display and execute the program in QA.
How do i create a request for this program in QA so that i can transport it to Prod.
    Thanks.

    Hi George,
    welcome to the SDN.
Normally you don't change development object in qa. Your transport request should goto the prod system as well after it is proven and ok. May be you have to talk to a basis guy in your company to ask which steps are necessary to get the transport to prod as well. Sometimes you just have to send a mail to a responsible person, sometimes you need to set a flag in order to have the transports moved to the import queue for prod automatically.

  • Unlock objects from transport requests

    Hi Gurus
I was doing the SAP_Basis support pack upgrade, in netweaver 7.1 and many of the objects seems to be locked in transport requests. as my understanding, i have two options only,
    1. replease transport - but it can create issues to us, as that will automatically imported to the next system in teh landscape, so unwanted requests will move to QAs system
    2. unlock objects from transport request.
So i did the second option, but it had a message that it can create inconsistencies in the system, do u know what all the meassures we need to take, if we unlock objects from the transport requests. Is it required to delete the transport requests,
by mistake , if someone releases the that transport, whether it will release the old object or the new object.
Please suggest what would be the best recomended approch by SAP
    Bijoy Babu

    Hi Bijoy,
Its better to release the TR and then delete the same from the queue before it is imported into the following system. This will avoid any inconsistancy when the TR released after the SP application.

  • TRANSPORT REQUEST CANNOT BE EXPORTED ENDED WITH RC 0208

Hi I am trying to release my request AEDK902592 of DEVELOPMENT server through se10. Now my problem is that the child request number
AEDK902593 is getting released whereas the parent request
AEDK902592 is nor released giving the following error: test call of transport control program (tp) ended with return code 0208.Can anyone please tell what can be wrong.Or is something wrong with the
request a it is also showing:your transport request could not be
exported as all requirement is not fulfilled.
Please help as it is very urgent.Helpful suggestion will be duly
    rewarded.
    Regards,
    vicky

    Dear vicky
Longtime back, one of my friends also had faced similar problem and at that time, I was told that by applying the sapnotes 216703, the problem has been rectified.  I am not sure, whether this will help you.
If not, you can also try with the following which I got from my ABAB colleague [I dont have technical knowledge )]
    1. Check the permission/owner on the directory /usr/sap/trans/buffer (or DIR_TRANS/buffer)
    2. Do a cd on that directory and then view the file SID. Check for multiple entries (as in the row entries are the same in all aspects) and any sign of corruption.
Check this file first with the command tp showbuffer <file name>
If the command also outputs the above error message, look for the incorrect line in the buffer file after the last displayed transport request.
Generate a backup copy of the buffer file and then correct the incorrect format of the line with a text editor. You must use the editor 'sappad' on Windows platforms.
If the command 'showbuffer' does not generate an error message, you must search for the incorrect line manually. To help you, you can generate a backup copy of the file and then use the command 'cleanbuffer' to remove processed requests from the buffer file.
    Remember to do this first:
    - Rename the old buffer file (example: System XYZ buffer):
    mv /usr/sap/trans/buffer/XYZ /usr/sap/trans/buffer/XYZ.old

  • To delete the transport request.

when i'm trying to delete the transport request by using se09, it responses with " Request/task BWDK916118 cannot be deleted because it contains locked objects." That request is created by me. It showing same name but it will not allow me to delete. Please help to delete how to delete that request.
    Thanks
    Satish

    Hi..
Basically you are getting this messge because first you have to delete all the objects of the underlying sub requests and then the subrequests ......then finally the actual request.................
Secondly, it is better to unlock all the objects first so that you can delete all the objects at a time..............because if  you have to delete all the objects one by one.....and if each requests contains 100s objects then it is very tedious to delete all the objects one by one...
Go to SE03 --> There you will get the options "Unlock Objects (Expert Tool) " --> Click over there --> give the subrequest nos and unlock it....
Then go to SE01 --> Click on "Objects" tab --> You will get the change button --> click on it --> Select All and Delete at a time...

  • CHARM cannot create transport of copies for BW transport

    Hello Colleagues,
I am facing a problem using CHARM with BW system:
I create Request for Change --> Normal Change --> Transport request
then BW developer uses a task in my transport (takes the task under her name) and attaches several BW objects.
At that time objects in the task are locked.
Then Developer releases the task. At which point the objects are unlocked in the Task, but got instead locked in the transport header.
I am trying to "Pass NC to Test", but facing error: TOC is created but cannot be released because of locked objects.
Releasing created TOC manually gives me the same error.
Is there a solution to this issue?
    Thank you
    Elena

Yes, OSS message came back with recommendation to apply note 1816332 in BW DEV system, after which TOC got created and released with no issues.

  • Copy transport request in SAP BI?

    Hi,
I have a doubt that how can i copy from one request to another. i can create a new request and select include objects from other requests.
But is there a way to just make copy of one request to another transport request.
    Thanks

    Hi,
Whenever you collect any object in TR it will be locked in that TR.Now it cannot be collected in other TR until it is collected in one TR already. So if you want to use same TR again in new TR either you have to release old TR and after that you can include old TR in new TR Or you have to delete those objects from that TR those you want to collect in new TR. You can unlock TR/task using SE03 and after that you can delete those objects.

  • Deleting transport request

    Hi Folks,
I have a problem in deleting the Transport request . it says Request/task cannot be deleted because it contains locked objects. It contains the dictionary object which has been deleted from the database.
I am trying to create a same object again, when assign a new package it says object is locked under that request..
Please help me to solve this problem.

    Hi,
Your transport request may have the locked object. If you delete this directly you will have to confirm for each object. To avoid this you can goto SE03, select unlock object and then give all of your request numbers, which you want to delete, one by one. Once all of the objects are unlocked you can go back to SE09/SE10 and start from the lowest request. First delete contents of that request and then delete the request. Keep on moving up till you have deleted all the requests.

  • How to delete a transport request easily?

    Hi Gurus,
I need to delete a transport request. Unfortunately, I received an error that says
"Request/task BWDK903562 cannot be deleted because it contains locked objects".
So, in order to delete that transport request, I have to first delete all objects contained in that request. However, there are just too many of them if I were to do it manually one-by-one.
Is there any approach where I could delete this transport request easily without first deleting all objects contained in that request?
    Thanks you in advance.

    Hi Fulham,
A transport request cannot be deleted with locked objects. So you have to first unlock the objects in the request. To do this: SE03 --> Request Task --> Unlock Objects.
The in SE10 select the request you want to delete and expand. Then right click on the sub node of the request and delete. Then Select the main request and delete.
    Hope this helps.

  • Bex Transport request is not available or not suitable

    Guys,
I need to make changes to query when I open it...it's saying Transport req is not available. So I have collected the query in a new transport in transport connection, but when I go back to the query its still giving the same error message. How do I resocve this error?
The transport it is showing in the query was deleted, so I cannot use the old transport.
    Thanks,
    Kris

    Hello Kris,
What Mahesh said will solve your issue but once you transport that request you will again get the same error when you open any query in BEX. One way to get around this issue is for the first time create a request using the BEX transport button in transport connection and always keep this request open. If you want to transport a query that is assigned to this request just unlock this request using se03 and then collect your query and the corresponding objects in a new request in transport connection and transport the new request. This way atleast everytime you open a query you will not get the error.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks

  • Error adding BW object into a transport request

Hi all, I'm modifying an OHD and when I'm trying to save into a new request I got the following error: "Attention!. The selected object is already locked by another transport request". And it shows me which is the TR that has the object locked, however, when I go to SE10 in order to check if the object its locked there, it is not!. Any ideas on how to solve this problem?
    Mauro

Did you try unlocking from SE03 - enter that request which system warned and execute and try collecting the Object again in new request
SE03 - Search for Objects in Requests/Tasks - enter IOBJ - Obj tech name - select Modifiable option and execute .. you will see the request numbers .. where this object is locked

  • How to include an INCLUDE into a Transport Request

    Hi Experts
Requirement is to add an INCLUDE program object (which is not part of any other request) into a Transport Request. I followed the below steps:
    SE01 -> Entered TR# -> Display -> Request/Task -> Object List -> Include Objects.
In the selection screen of "freely selected objects",
selected objects -> Program = LZ123T00 (which I need to include).
    Then, Execute!
It shows: No objects were selected!
    How to fix this error?
    Regds

    Hi Varun
thx for ur reply. I tried this. it seems the INCLUDE alone cannot be written into the TR.
it says: "Cannot be added. The object is part of some system object"
If we add the whole Function Group to the TR, will it help? Will the TR hold all the associated INCLUDEs declared in this Function Group?
    plz advise.
