Cant modify volume of seperate Speak

Hi!
I've got the Audigy 2 NX and a 5. Surroundsystem.
I installed all the drivers and MediaSource-Things (in fact pretty much everything I found on the creative site for 2 NX).
But I miss the option to modify the volume of every single speaker seperatly. E.g. my left rear speaker is not as near as the right one, so I'd like to increase its volume.
Is there any chance to do that?
I know that there is the possibility to do it with the Soundblaster Li've! 24bit External so I wonder why it's not with the 2 NX.

I dont have a THX-Console either. I just wrote an email to the support, I hope they know what to do.

Below is a list of software which can be installed by patching the installation file using ctcomp. Ctcomp modifies the installation compatibility database (data.dat) the way, you (perhaps) be able to install
- Audigy 2 ZS drivers and
- below mentioned software
to (supposeingly) all card models listed below.
I do not know if this is 00% possible/true for all models listed, because I have not tried install these drivers/software to any other model but for Audigy 2 (SB0244) and everything else, but Graphic EQ works straight away. Patch for EQ can be found on Driver Heaven forum.
!!! As for the original poster --> no mention of Audigy NX there --> ;(. You can ask DVDKingdom to add your card on supported cards list (if it's possible to install this software for your card).

IS there a way to adjust ringer and text alert volumes to seperate volumes?

Hello,
Was wondering if there is a way to adjust the volume on text alerts while I'm on the phone talking to someone. If I am using the phone for a voice call and I get a text or message the alert tone is way too loud and I cant hear the other person speaking.

You can mute the text alerts while you're on a call using the mute switch over the volume buttons.

Try a hard reset of the Nano. To do this, press and hold both the Select (Center) and Menu buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.
I assume you have double checked to make sure you are plugging the headset all the way in meaning the white part of the headset is flush with the body of the Nano?

Hello, I have the Sound Blaster Li've! card (CT4780) and Cambridge Soundworks FPS2000 speakers (4. system) on Windows XP Pro SP2. I've installed the latest drivers from Creative Labs.
My problem: very little bass output from my subwoofer, even when I adjust the subwoofer dial to max. If I go to Speaker Settings in AudioHQ(?), the sliders for the subwoofer volume is disabled. How do I enable this?
What are the correct speaker to sound card connections? My speaker system only has left and right jacks, and a SPDF(?) digital jack, but my sound card doesn't have the SPDF output. I connect my left/right jacks to the appropriate line out/rear out jacks on the sound card. I can hear sounds from all speakers, but would just like to have the subwoofer output more sound.
The AudioHQ will only let me select a 4 speaker system type, and there is no 4. option selected. Maybe this is the problem? If not, then how do I enable the subwoofer volume slider in speaker settings of AudioHQ?

The Li've! Value is a 4.0 soundcard and doesn't have a dedicated subwoofer output. It can only dri've Front L/R and Rear L/R. The 4. speaker system generates its own subwoofer signal by extracting the bass from these channels.
Bass redirection, crossover frequency, AC-3 decode are only available on the Li've!5. SB0060 and don't apply to yer soundcard. AC-3 decode on the card would be nice, but Creative pays Dolby a licensing fee for every soundcard to support the feature and your card was sold before they struck their deal with Dolby so all previously sold cards don't support it.
Bass redirection and the crossover frequency is to send the bass from the front L/R, Rear L/R and Centre channels to the subwoofer. Since the Li've! models before the Li've!5. didn't have a subwoofer channel either none of this applies to yer card.
The centre channel volume is also missing because your card doesn't have a centre/sub output.
The only reason these features show up in yer drivers and applications is because all the Li've! and Li've 5. ( but not the Li've! 24 bit/7. ) models use the same driver.
To fix yer bass issue, try adjusting the subwoofer level on the speakers and alternati'vely increase the bass level in the Creative Mixer applet.Message Edited by nvidiot on 02-07-2006 09:29 PMMessage Edited by nvidiot on 02-07-2006 09:42 PM

- Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so. There is a little switch in the headphone jack that disconnects the speaker when the headphone jack is inserted.
Try the following to rule out a software problem
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Seems you have a bad headphone jack or other hardware problem

Cant Hear inless I use speaker phone

I have the old model 4g and it just started today, I cant hear inless I use speaker phone, Ringtone works but music will not play. Also when I put my ear to phone the backround does not disappear.

Locking the volume on external speaker

My grandson is autistic and always has his ipad. He has it in airports, on airplances, in stores, etc. I know you can lock the volume on the ipad but that is only if you are using ear buds or headphones which he does not use. Does anyone know if you can lock the external speaker volume so it's not so loud and disturbing to other people? If not Apple this is something you need to address.

You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.
You can restore from a backup if you have one from BEFORE you set the restrictions passcode.

Music volume slider shows "speaker" setting during "earphone" playback

A volume setting is stored for playback through the iPhone's speaker, and another for when earphones are plugged in.
I have noticed since updating to iOS 5.1 that the volume slider in the Music app sometimes displays the "speaker" level during "earphone" playback when switching between the two modes.
Although the slider displays the incorrect volume level, the playback is at the earphone setting's volume, not the displayed volume.
N.B. I have an iPhone 3GS, and the performance of the Music app has degraded with each iOS update; this seems to be due to the core software growing more complex. It is possible that there is just a very long delay between loading the Music app, it recognising the earphones are plugged in, and the volume slider widget being updated accordingly. I will report back with more clarification after more observation.

*** UPDATE ***
THIS PROBLEM IS NOT SOLVED.
I thought it was purely a performance issue that was delaying the update of the volume slider. However, I've recently observed the slider displaying the speaker volume permanently with the headphones plugged in.
Locking and unlocking the screen caused the slider to refresh.
"Discussions" does not allow me to undo the "Solve" flag above. All I can do is state that this is an open issue here.

Very low volume in the speaker

i've notice of the very low volume level from the built in speaker of the earliest Mac Pro ( i've one ) compared to the previous one (2008...i've one). Is this normal ?

I can tell you right now, that's a complete waste of time! They're just gonna tell you it's "in spec."
It's a crumby speaker... deal with it. If you really care that much about the volume of the audio, you should just get a good pair of external speakers!

Volume in one speaker is very low

Just bought a HP Pavilion dv7-4170eo with Windows 7 64 bit. Yesterday one speaker suddenly stopped working. However, after adjusting the volume to max I've realized that the speaker hasn't stopped working, it does indeed produce sound but in much lower volume than the other one.
I've checked the balance, reinstalled the drivers, restarted the computer but the problem remains.
What is wrong here?

It could be a hardware issue, a bad ribbon cable.

I understand that you are having issues with others being able to hear you while on calls, the issue seems to be resolved by using speakerphone. This makes sense, as speakerphone utilizes a different microphone. I would advise you to take a look at the following articles:

Cant adjust volume after safari 5.1 update!

just done the safari 5.1 update on my 2007 imac, all went well and it works great, ive noticed since doing this though that i cant adjust the volume of my imac! when i press the volume keys it just has a sign indicating the volume cant be adjusted!
the sound however is outputting, its just i cant change the volume.
anyone else had this issue?

HI Jaime,
Open System Preferences/Sound. Click the Output tab.
Make sure the Mute button is not selected at the bottom of that pane.
Try Resetting the PRAM
If that didn't help, go to /Library/Preferences and move the com.apple.soundpref.plist file to the Trash.

Low volume from top speaker

I'm finding it very difficult to hold a telephone call as it's so quiet and the volume appears to be at its loudest.
Also listening to music the majority of the sound comes from lower speaker please any help would be fantastic
