Robert,
In the Selection creteria window did you try this
Opening Balance/Calculate Opening Balance radio button
Select the Opening Balance option to enter an opening balance manually for the selected accounts.
Select the Calculate Opening Balance to display the opening balance according to the data recorded in SAP Business One.

  • Report for Cash flow (fund flow from Bank GL)

    Hi Expert,
I would like to have your advice on how can I create this type of report?  Is it better using Fund Management?
My client is asking on cash flow report in which the report should show all fund (cash at bank) movement.  Basically, the report should have 2 main category, which are Cash Inflow / Cash Outflow, for example:
    Cash Inflow
    - Payment received from customer
    - Interest received from FD at Bank
    - Other receipts
    - Government Subsidy Received
    - Government Grant
    Cash Outflow
    - Payment to vendor
    - Finance charge paid to bank (overdraft/loan, etc)
    - Operating Expenses
    - CAPEX
    - Other Payments
For cash inflow, double entries involve to bank GL is as follows:
    DR Bank
CR Item listed in cash inflow section, for example: payment received from customer (or CR csutomer), FD interest received (Revenue item of P/L), etc
For cash outflow, double entries involve to bank GL is as follows:
DR  Item listed in cash outflow section, for example: payment to vendor (or DR vendor), Payment to non-trade vendor (for asset purchase, etc), Interest paid (expense item of P/L), etc
    Questions:
Since my debit or credit leg of my bank account, currently does not have any indicator that can explicitly indicator the nature of my inflow and outflow, how can I produce my report of cash flow show above?
Note: It is extremely heavy for customized ABAP program to extract my bank entry and point back to the opposite leg to find the nature of my inflow/outflow as well.
    Kindly advise.
    Thanks in advance,

    Hi
In ECC 6.0 EhP4 - A new feature has been added inorder to provide such a kind of cash flow report... You need to activate Business Function PSM_FA_CASH..
    Refer this link http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04/helpdata/EN/42/e34f2c31023ee1e10000000a1553f6/frameset.htm...
... Under Business Functions in SAP ERP > Enterprise Busn Func > Accounting > Public Sector management > PSM, Cash basis accounting & Cash flow reporting
Once you activate it, you will find additional nodes of IMG under SPRO > Public Sector management.....
This works the same way as Doc Splitting... technically speaking, this new feature is extended arm of Doc Spliting... In Doc Splitting, you assign item Categories to each GL Account.... Similarly, you will assign a "Revenue / Expense Account" to each GL Account.... This R/E Account can be any alpha numeric text.... This R/E account then gets added as a Doc Splittin Char and is populated in every FI Doc that you post
I have tried this in a test client a year ago and was more or less satisified with it barring some exceptions....

  • CASH FLOW per PERIOD

    Hi Gurus/Experts,
really need your help since i'm stuck in creating Report Painter for Cash Flow.
Below is the explanation of my case:
My requirement is to make report for Cash Flow periodically (or per month).
Already created Report Painter in FSI5 and Form in FSI1, and it's working. But, it's only giving the correct amount if only i generated Cash Flow Report on February, March, April and so on.
When i tried to generate Cash Flow for January, the amount isn't correct.
My speculation is because the different fiscal year that effect the increment value
    i.e
increase in AR (Feb) = AR balance in February 2015 - AR balance in January 2015  >>> CORRECT AMOUNT
increase in AR (Jan) = AR balance in January 2015 - AR balance in December 2014 >>> INCORRECT AMOUNT
Currently im using three columns and Period as variable definitions, such as: 1PF, 1PF-1, 1PF-2
    So, my question is:
    1. Could i create cash flow per period? Or we are only able to create CASH FLOW PER FISCAL YEAR as standard report in SAP (0SAPRATIO-04)?
    2. If i could create cash flow per period, where did i miss?
Already searching all threads, but i couldn't find the same problem.
    Need your advice, Gurus..
Please let me know if there's any queries.
    Best Regards,
    Melia

    Hi Melia
For your calculation, you can cross check your logic with actual values form table and  see why it is not matching in case of INCORRECT amount.
Cash Flow is genuinely generated per Fiscal year and that will show the comparison of Reporting year (For Ex Current Year) with comparison year (For Ex Last Year).
    As a correct solution, you can give selection parameter as below;
    Reporting Year
    Reporting Pd From
    Reporting Pd To
    Comparison Year
    Comparison Pd From
    Comparison Pd To.
That is the way I have created CFS. Let me know if you need more info.

  • Crystal Reports Template : Data for Cash-Flow Analysis

    Dear Experts,
We are working on cash flow forecasting model, i.e going forward 12 months, which in written in MS Excel. We update it with actual data recorded in SAP B1 (Ver 8.8 PL18)  A manual process.
Was wondering if we can get a crystal report template which contain the following data:
Sales, Purchases, Collections and Payments by BP in a given time (user specified)
    BP Code
    BP Name
    Sales Invoice #
    Sales Invoice Date
    Sales Invoice Value (total)
    Sales Credit Memo #
    Sales Credit Memo Date
    Sales Credit Value (total)
    Purchase Invoice #
    Purchase Invoice Date
    Purchase Invoice Value (total)
    Purchase Credit Memo #
    Purchase Credit Memo Date
    Purchase Credit Value (total)
    BP Receipt #
    BP Receipt Date
    BP Receipt Value
    BP Payment  #
    BP Payment Date
    BP Payment Value
Thank you to all who have answered this question posted earlier under queries, I am hoping we can get a combined report using CR, a feat not possible using SAP B1 Query function. I look forward to your advice.
    Regards
    Raj

    Hi,
I am not familiar with crystal report. But using queries (that already answered) you can create crystal report.
You can also refer how to guide for creating crystal report in sap b1.

  • Withholding tax in cash flow forecast FF7B

    Hello experts,
Do you know if there is a way to display planned withholding tax payments in the cash flow forecast FF7B?
Today the forecast report displays the entire amount in the vendor's line , while that payments that include withholding tax amounts will actually be paid in two different terms:
    - The first payment will be paid to the vendor (i.e. for 70% of the invoice amount)
    according to vendor's payment terms.
    - The second payment will be paid to the tax authorities (i.e. for 30% of the invoice amount)
according to their payment terms (i.e in the middle of the next month).
    Thank you,
    Dan

    Hi ,
thx for your reply . my question was not clear . it was :
what's the effect of checking the "Tax" box in the cash flow report ? when i check or uncheck this box , i see no difference in the report
    thanx for help

  • Cash Flow calculation

    Hi,
I am trying to find a way to generate monthly cash-flows using the carry-forward and account transformation business rules.
However by default, it copies the closing balance from the last month of the previous year into the opening balance of the current month. So I can only generate YTD cash-flows.
My cash flow accounts are set to either INC or EXP account type so that I can retrieve them either in periodic (monthly cash-flow) or YTD. How can I achieve that without using a logic?
    Thanks,
    Regis

Didn't find an easy solution, so cancel the question

  • BCS cash flows

What is the difference between direct and indirect method of cash flow in BCS..
How it is handled and best addressed in BCS.

    Ok, Ambadads, your 2b point:
    2) Consolidated financial statements(BS, PL etc including Cash Flow Statements):
    b. Sequence of preparation: 1st u2013 Balance Sheet, 2nd Income Statement and finally Cash Flow Statements or even Funds Flow Statements (if required)
And what's so convincing in it that answers my arguments and illustration?
Yes, the CF statement is prepared after the B/S & P&L and what?
You didn't answer one of my previous posts where I asked you about # 1 & 2, since it was my impression that you agreed with my/(also Dan?) point of view.
Are you able to argument professionally?
    Or
"Let me re-iterate to do the consolidation in BCS or ECCS, one should have strong foundation of concept of consolidation through professional qualifications. One can not do consolidation just by practise or on the job experience."
with a, I would say an arrogant cue, is your best talky answer?
A: Rather than legal, but the basics of consolidation as well as accounting warrants this.
Facts, arguments, links, do you have them?
Q: "...as such no eliminations are warranted including the point C (part 3) of Gokulu2019s question. In other words inter-company LOANS need not be eliminated for cash flow purposes."
    Why???
A: It is one of the fundamental principles of consolidation.
    Where are the links?
    Can you support your opinion?

  • Cash Flow: input accounts

Hi guys, I'm working on the cash flow, and I have a couple of questions regarding some accounts that need to be calculated outside HFM.
How do you usually handle this? Do you create an additional structure like "CF_Aux" to input there? If I need to calculate some of the accounts, that could be useful.
    I really appreciate your experience.
    Thanks!
    Jai

    Hi there,
I have a post related to your subject.. One Truth about...: ...cash flow: accounts vs movements design
I am not sure about what you are looking for, but I think that a combination of calculated accounts and input accounts is the answer to your question.

  • BN transactions in Cash Flow report

    Hi,
in SBO 2007, while proceeding to bank reconciliation, one may add adjustment entries if needed. These transactions are coded as BN instead of JE.
The question is why aren't those transactions displayed in the Cash Flow report ?
    Thanks
    Gilles Plante

    Jitin,
I knew that note. For the benefit of others, this bug will be addressed in the patch to be released next February.
In the mean time, is there a work around to create a Cash Flow report with the BN transactions included ?

  • Cash flow indirect method drill down report

    Hi!
I have developed the report for cash flow indirect method ( FSI6) where i have given the selection parameter as year, but users are asking for from period/year to to period/year.
In FSI3, I am not able to change variable which was already defined as Fiscal year.
    How can change?
    regs,
    ramesh

    Hi Dan,
Very interesting! Though, I didn't get the answer. Think it would be very favorable for everybody, if you explain in more details.
AFAIK, data is stored in BCS periodically. So, do you imply that it's possible to create cash flow for any set of data in the system (because of periodicity)?
Talk about ttypes and breakdown categories are also not very clear for me.
Anyway, I'd like to talk functional, not SAP (or some other IT) language.
    Here we go.
Did you say that you used to create the cash flow report on the fly, by using some calculations in BEx?
And the same for eliminations in cash flow?
Did you do eliminations in CF?
If yes, then I would suggest that you were lucky, having local and group currency the same, USD?
As BCS consultant knows, the indirect cash flow report consists of 3 parts: net cash flows from operating activities, finance and investing ones.
NCF from operating activities is usually calculated as net profit (before or after taxes) with some corrections that are calculated as differences in reported-beginning balances on some accounts. Would you calculate them in local or group currency? Taking into account that there might be no real movement in cash (local currency), but currency rate has changed?
Financial & investing activities MUST BE PROVIDED in direct sense, like: dividends received, interests paid for credits and loans etc. There is, usually, no such information, only some netted activities. You need to get them additionally. How did you get them?
    So, the main question is:
how would you calculate the CONSOLIDATED INDIRECT cash flow report
having different local currencies (and a different group currency), with some intergroup activities?
Everybody will appreciate your input on this subject.

  • Cash flow statement report..

How is the consolidated cash flow statements are generated. What are the specific movement types configured for this. Is all MT created and data collected from ECC with MT or it is part of BCS data collection only...
Do we have to create specific group account or group account created for the normal consolidation function will help.
    Appreciate your inputs on this..

    Hi Dan,
Can you please clarify the following :
For indirect method, I typically creat item hierarchy to facilitate cash flow reporting.
Question:  What does this mean..a hierarchy to reflect the cash flow grouping?
For movement types most may originate in ECC as long as the Field Status Group allows this or requires this. These are usually used for assets and the corresponding accumulated depreciation, as well as equity, debt, certain reserves such as allowances for bad debt, etc.
Question: Besides the assets , the MT will be required for all accounts for report purpose in BCS.  How to handle this alone in BCS, if ECC is not going to support the MT for anything other than asset account

  • SAP Cash Flow statement - Direct Method

    Dear Experts
We are working on Cash flow statement - Direct method. We observed there is report for cash flow direct method i.e T.Code S_ALR_87012271. In this report we have  changed the form as per the client cash flow format and assign the FSV to this form.
We done all the steps and executed the report .  But we observed the values which we are getting in this report are "Accured based values" (Cumulative balances  of  that GL Account).
But as per our business requirement the values should be triggered in this report based on  payment made and collection received during the period in the respective category as per the Cash flow format.
Ex: In cash flow statement Under Revenue head (Revenue GL Accounts  are assigned) we need  to capture actual revenue received for that particular period. But we are getting Cumulative balances  of  that GL Account.
Please suggest how we can get the values as per the payment and receipts basis for a particular peirod.
    Thanks in advance
    Rao V

    Hi Waza
    Thanks for the quick support,
I have already done the same process as you suggested, but my question is I want the values in this report (cash flow direct method) based on the "payment made and collection received during the period".
But as of now I am getting the Cumulative balances of  relevant GL Accounts. It meanse the values should be based on cash receipts and payments made. In this report I am getting overall values (not Pyament/Revenue reciept wise).
Please suggest how we can achieve this ?.
    Thanks once agian

  • No Results in GL Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Reports

    Hello Gurus,
I have installed and configured OBIA 7.9.6 financials for oracle EBS 12.1 as per config document.
Modified GL group account names, codes mappings as per business req.
Did a full ETL load and it was successfull.
Now on the reporting side, we don't see any data in the balance sheet, cash flow reports.
My understanding is, this is because group account numbers are changed and I need to do some customization on RPD file as well.
Could you please correct me if I am wrong and suggest me any best practices to customize for financial analytics.
    Many Thanks.!
Edited by: obiuser on 07-Oct-2011 05:58

    Hi,
    Thank you for your response.
I couldn't find 3.2.1.4.3 section in 7.9.6 config guide. Hope you are refereing to 7.9.6.3 guide.
On further investigation we found that there is no data in W_AP_BALANCE_F, W_AR_BALANCE_F tables.
This might be the reason for not having data in AP, AR Overview dashboard pages.
Actually what we have done was, added some new group account codes such as MAINTENANCE to the codes file and updated names, fstmt files accordingly.
Rest of the group codes, names such as AP, AR..etc., all were left as it is.
I have another question, How can I know a group accnt code belongs the certain account range.?
Our financial team member says there is nothing like that and he can't give the accounting range.
Can you please help to understand this concept.
    Many Thanks.
