CCMS alert notification - sending an SMS on a mobile number.

Hi,
We have set up central CCMS alert monitoring for the systems in our landscape.
Now we want an auto reaction method which can send an SMS to a specific mobile number.
Can it be done using any existing auto reaction method or we need to develop a program in ABAP
specifically to achive this functionality ... ?
We want some reaction method which can respond to the color change in the CCMS alert monitoring attributes .
For eg - as soon as the color value in the alert is set as red , the sms should be triggered.
has anyone achieved this type of functionality .
It would be realy helpful.

SAP Alert Management (ALM) functionality comes into play when business-critical problems occur. Within ALM, conditions for critical situations are predefined. Scenario 1)
As of Release 6.20, you can send and receive fax and SMS or paging messages using SMTP. These are packed in e-mails for this purpose. please check Note 455140 - Configuration of e-mail, fax, paging or SMS using SMTP
Scenario 2)
Starting with the SAP Web Application Server 6.20, it is possible to transfer pager and SMS messages via HTTP to a third-party software or to a pager/SMS service provider please check Note 455142 - SAPconnect: Configuration paging/SMS via HTTP.

Configuring CCMS alerts to send mail

I need to configure CCMS alerts where the alerts will be send to my mail id.
I have configured the seting in RZ21 and activated the alerts
Please tell me the steps to be followed, for sending mails Email in case of any alerts

You basically need to make sure that
1. You can receive emails send from SAP Business Workplace to your SAP/Outlook inbox . This can be done by the Tcodes SCOT, SOST.
2. Configure CCMS_ONALERT_EMAIL_V2 according to your needs (RZ21)
3. Assign this method to the required MTE via RZ20.

Problem sending a SMS message from mobile phone t809

I am trying to send a SMS message from my cell phone. This is Samsung t809 phone with CLDC 1.1 and MIDP 2.0
The code that I am using is next:

hello,
when you use smsconn = ( MessageConnection )Connector.open( "sms://:50000" ); it means that you are trying to connect to a sms server. So if you don't have a sms server on your computer, an exception is thrown !
if you just wanna test sms sending, put the phone number in the string like this

This doesn't seem to have anything to do with JavaMail.
Maybe you should ask the Clickatell API owners?

Facetime sends an SMS to this international number 00447786205094

Guys... I know that this has been discussed before, but today I've restored my iPhone 4 and I had to activate FaceTime again and it didn't seems to work as it kept saying (waiting)...
After a while I realized that each time I enabled the FaceTime button my phone was silently sending a SMS to the UK (I'm in Barcelona) to this number. 00447786205094 each costed me 50 euro cents. I had to pay more than 7 euros for this terrible mistake (and I didn't get it working) which means I'll have to do it in the future to enable FaceTime in my iPhone and risk again to spend so much money in this.
My question is: Why Isn't apple adopting a painless registration procedure like Whatsapp or Viber is using? You write your phone number and getting a secret code that yo must enter in order to validate your phone number.
The way that actually is working right now puts the user in a terrible situation as the iPhone keeps sending international SMS to register the FaceTime number at an incredible cost for the user.
After spending 7 euros I still didnt' get FaceTime activated...
Guys, please solve this.

We are just users like you. There is no telling why apple is doing something or not doing something you would have to ask Apple that question.

Cannot send text message to one mobile number

Recently moved from iphone 4 to iphone 6 and changed the carrier from Tmobile to Verizon, post this change I am not able to send text message to one specific mobile number. The other person can send text to my number. The message sent to this specific phone number from iphone 6 appears green as sent but is not received by the other specific number. I can send messages to all the other friends but not to this specific number. The other person reached to his carrier (Tmobile) and they confirmed that it is not coming in their network after doing the testing from my end. This problem started when moved from Tmobile to verizon.

This was already checked with the Tmobile carrier and their technicians as test from verizon side. It is not that it is not being received on their network, the issue is it is not being sent out from Verizon network. I have checked in my online account of Verizon with my SMS usage and it shows that no SMS has been sent out to this T-mobile number. I have tried sending SMS 30 - 40 times and there is no record in my online account about the SMS sent out. This means that the SMS is not going out from verizon network to this specific user. I hope I have made myself clear here in terms of issue definition. I have tried all possible options of deleting message thread, deleting contacts at both the sides, resetting network, switching off imessage, Airplane mode on-off, sending SMS by adding 001 to the mobile number etc.
Kindly help urgently.

Did you get an answer, Helen. I just set up my Skype account, and when I got to the lat step -- no code was sent to my mobile phone. Checked for accuracy of number and all. Don't know where to go from here.

CCMS - alert notifications through mail

HI All,
We have configured CCMS in our Landscape . Everything is working fine. But now we have a new requirement to add some receiptents in CC list of alert mails. I have included all the receioptents list in alert category. But my question is how differeniate to & cc list of alert mails.
Is there any way to include receiptents in CC list of alert mail?

Hi Nagarjun,
You can only send to a mail recipient or a distribution list (DLI) via the standard code. I checked this SALO_EMAIL_IN_CASE_OF_ALERT and there is no section where you can enter Carbon Copy (CC) for the recipient type. So you will have to customize this. Please refer to "SAP Note 176492 - Automatic email when an alert occurs (RZ20)" for addtional information
You can check the SAPoffice example reports BCS_EXAMPLE_1 to BCS_EXAMPLE_8 (SE38 -> BCS_EXAMPLE* -> F4 key) to see how SAPoffice manipulates recipient addresses.

Solman CCMS alerts are send with delay

Hello all,
I have set up the availability monitoring with CCMSPING in SolutionManager (EHP1). In rz20 the alert is shown directly after the system crash/downtime etc but the email is send some time later.
Example: Alert in CCMS 07:00:38 CET
Alert sent with SCOT 07:36:50 CET
Emailjob is scheduled every 5 minutes. Does anyone has an idea which causes such a delay?

Hi Michael,
Check in SOST when these mails have been triggered . If it is sent at correct time and received with a delay , then it is an issue with network conjustions . Also check the system time in Tcode STZAC and check whether the time settings are correct .
Eg. Time zone is set correct for the system as well as users etc .

How to find out skype user sending me sms?profile....

Hi All.
Its of high importance for me to find out the user id of an unknown person sending my wife SMS's through SKYPE. The number showing up from the sender is +442032892491. Upon googling, i found that this number is linked to Skype so if any user sends a sms without setting a number in profile, the default number shows up as above. Its very important for me to know who has been sending messages to my wife mobile. Can any one please suggest. I also tried sending a message back from my wife mobile to the same number +442032892491 but not sure if its actually reaching there.

I am definetly starting to think I don't actually have a skype name. Now I tried again since the 24 hour restriction went off. First from Skype webpage ->sign in -> forgotten your skype name? ->there I enter my hotmail address ->send mail ->

So I obviously choose the second option last time since it's the closest available option for my problem, but then it gives me options:

So again it asked for my address and captcha, and after that I could choose to "verify my identity" by choosing the alt email, but since that is slight garbled and cannot be differented from the primary address, and I was already so pissed off from typing the same address over and over, so at that point I mistakenly wrote the main address again where it wanted to verify it by asking the whole alternative address and thus it never sent the account reset email for the Microsoft/Live account.
But since I originally had no problems with that Microsoft account, all I wanted was the "Skype Name", and since the only way to try to find it jumps into the restore Microsoft account thing, I'm assuming I don't have one which I could use to login to Skype, so all I can use is the Microsoft/Live account.
