Central autoreactions for remote systems (saprouter)

Hi, Experts!
There is a possibility to define the central autoreactions for remote systems connected to Solman through SAPRouter??

Hi,
The CEN Configuration is dependant on the CCMS agents that you install on your satellite system.
The CCMS agents run as Services at OS level.
When you install CCMS Agent, there will be parameters pertaining to connecting to CEN.
Hope this solves  your problem.
Feel free to revert back.

  • Create entry for remote system necessary?

    Hello,
is it necessary to start in CEN transaction RZ21 u2192 Technical infrastructure u2192 Configure Central System u2192 Create entry for remote system.
What is the result of this transaction and why is a <sid>adm user needed?
    Thanks

    Hello,
I take you mean you have a JMS queue created in an Oracle database (A) and you want to propagate messages to a JMS queue create in an Oracle database (B)?
If that is the case you use normal AQ propagation. You can follow <Note:102771.1> as an example changing the ADT as appropriate, etc.
MGW is only to be used for Oracle to 3rd-party propagation.

    Hi Kiran,
I want to genarate number ranges for remote system like
    a100 to z999.
But in Console its allowing me to enter only numaric values only.
could you please suggest me to achive this functionality.
If in Console, you are not able to put in Alpha numeric Numbers, then I can suggest you a workaround.
If you want to get the range a100 to z999,
then only take the numeric part in the range.
Try using an Assigment in the Data Manager. And Concatenate the Alplanumeric part to the numeric part.
I am not sure, whether it will work. But still try out.
    Hope it helps.

  • Backupeventlog not working for remote system in PowerShell

I have the following code snippet that works if I specify localhost or the name of the local computer, but does not work if set to a remote server. I am running the script as Administrator using my Domain Admin account. Both local and remote systems
are Windows Server 2012 and in the same domain. PowerShell version = 3.0.
    Param(
    [parameter(Mandatory=$true,ValueFromPipeline=$true)]
    [ValidateScript({Test-Connection $_ })]
    [String]
    $Server,
    [parameter(Mandatory=$true,ValueFromPipeline=$true)]
    [String]
    $LogFileName,
    [parameter(Mandatory=$true,ValueFromPipeline=$true)]
    [ValidateScript({Test-Path $_ -PathType 'Container'})]
    [String]
    $OutputFolder
    $EventLog = Get-WmiObject win32_nteventlogfile -ComputerName $Server -Filter "LogFileName = '$LogFileName'" -ErrorAction SilentlyContinue -ErrorVariable $ResultError
    If ($ResultError)
Write-Host "ERROR: unable to event logs from $Server."
    } Else {
    Write-Host "Backing $Server."
    $EventLog.backupeventlog("$OutputFolder\$Server.evtx")

After spending some more time troubleshooting this and doing some more research I found the link below. I found it strange the hoops the author went through to handle event logs on remote systems until I realized that the path for "backupeventlog"
is relative to the remote system, not the system running the script. So I checked the other systems and found that the event log backups had been created. This would explain the returnvalue of 80. What's worse is that the path for "backupeventlog"
    can't be a UNC -- I tried, it didn't work.
Back Up Your Event Logs with a Windows PowerShell Script
    https://technet.microsoft.com/en-ca/magazine/2009.07.heyscriptingguy.aspx
I decided to re-read Microsoft's documentation and found the magical text that I had over-looked:
BackupEventlog method of the Win32_NTEventlogFile class
    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa384808(v=vs.85).aspx
In addition, you must make backups to the local computer; you cannot save a backup of the event logs on Computer A to Computer B. Backups are implemented by using the LocalSystem account, which does not have the network credentials necessary to access remote
computers. If you want to save backups to a central repository, modify the script to first perform the backup, and then move the backup file to the central repository.

  • NWA template installer required for remote systems

We've installed a NW 7.0 SP13 Java System that will be used for MDM Enrichment.  During the installation we specified the Central SLD (a different NW7.0) system when prompted.  I can see this new system in our Central SLD under the "technical systems" area.  Following the installation, is there any reason to run any or part of the NWA template installers on either this new Java system or on our SLD system?  Our SLD system is not being used as the CEN system, so the system will just be administered locally.
I'm trying to understand if any sort of connection data from the new system to the central sld is missing if any of the template installers is not run after the installation.
    Thanks.

  • Flexconnect Central Webaythentication for Remote user

    Hi,
Am facing problem with Flexconnect with guest user. My scenario is i have local DHCP at remote site for guest but i want them to authenticate through central WLC.
Am using Layer 3 web authentication. also the web authentication page is not popping up automatically, we have to type Google or any web than it redirect to virtual WLC interface.
    Thank You

@shh5455, webauth does work with flexconnect local switching (FlexConnect Feature Matrix). When a client associates to the WLAN, the pre-auth ALC will allow DHCP and DNS and traffic. The next step is that when a client tries to reach a website it will be redirected by the WLC to the virtual IP address of the WLC. This traffic is being tunneled by the AP into a CAPWAP tunnel to the management interface of the WLC, in this way there is no need for end-to-end IP connectivity between the client and the WLC.
@MuhammadSaad_2, there is not much what you can do about it. The client needs to do at least one http request to get redirected to the portal page. Apple does have a "solution" for this problem with a pseudo web browser / Captive Network Assistant which get launched after it detects that there is no direct internet access. However that does not always work flawless as well. So unless you really need the portal for something like marketing, I would prefer a dot1x solution or just a simple psk over the portal.

  • JSP page not rendering correctly for remote system

I have a jsp page that has an HtmlGraphicImage component that gets set by a method in a java bean using
    image2.setUrl( imageFilename );
When I run the application on my local system (my development system running Studio Creator) the page comes up on my web browser with the proper image.
However, when I try to access the page from a remote PC, the page comes up okay with all the static components, but the image is blank. When I look at the page source on that browser, the image url is set to blank (i.e. nothing inside quotes).
Any ideas why this image is rendered correctly on my local system and not remotely?

  • SWO1 - No destination could be determined for logical system

    Hi there,
I am trying to call a remote transaction via SWO1, but I am getting the following error:
No destination could be determined for logical system TSTCLNT120
    Message no. OL860
    Diagnosis
You attempted to instantiate an object with the specified logical system within the distributed runtime environment. However, an RFC destination has not been defined for this logical system.

  • Central Autoreaction method won't assign to remote system

When I assign a remote autoreaction method to my CRM systems in rz21 it won't show in method alloctaion. I get no errors. It shows the assignment as being created but when I got to rz20 and display the node and do a - view - method allocation the autoreaction method is not assigned. When I look at properties for the method it takes me to the remote system but again doesn't show the autoreaction method assignment. I checked that the systems are online in rz21 display remote systems.
My ecc systems are working just fine.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Dan

    Hi Dan,
Try checking in RZ21 that any agents for the satellite system are online as they should be.
In RZ20 SAP CCMS Technical Expert Monitors - Selfmoniring CCMS Agents, the same agents should also show as 100% Available.  There may also be errors in the agent log (sapccm4x.log).
These SAP notes are also worth a look:

  • Central Autoreaction Method doesn't work for NW 7.10 in SolMan 7.01

    Hello!
The central autoreaction method doesn't work for the satellite system
NW 7.10. For systems with kernel releases 4.6D, 640, 700 this method
works fine and e-mail alerts are coming.
    The configuration steps I've checked:
    1. Configured SCOT. The mail_send job executes every 5 minutes.
    2. Background dispatching job is released: SAP_CCMS_MONI_BATCH_DP (In
central CEN/000/DDIC and satellite system SAT/000/DDIC)
    3. Central dispatching job is released: SAP_CCMS_CENSYS_DISPATCHER
    (Only in central system CEN/000/DDIC)
    4. The sapccm4x-agent registered as web service within CEN using
Create Remote Monitoring for NW 7.10:
Connection test to SAPCCM4X.<satellite_host>.00 was performed successfully
    5. Created a new autoreaction method by copying method
    CCMS_OnAlert_Email_V2 to the own Z_CCMS_Email_Alert_CEN:
    Function Module - SALO_EMAIL_IN_CASE_OF_ALERT_V2
Execute Method on Any Server and Only in Central System, triggered by
    CCMS agents
    SENDER (EMAIL_USER) exists in CEN/000 , RECEPIENT - <distr list
    SAP_BASIS in CEN/000>, RECIPIENT-TYPEID - C
    6. Got MTE Classes from NW 7.10 satellite system and assigned this method
    Z_CCMS_Email_Alert_CEN to an MTE-class CCMS_ORAucPSAPSR3 for NW 7.10
satellite system. The alert is red right now.
    7. The mail_send job doesn't send anything, in SCOT there are no
    sending orders.
    8. Autoreaction status on this alert in CEN in RZ20 - Sent to CEN.
    CEN_CHECKED.
    9. The alert status in RZ20 in CEN - ACTION_REQUIRED. If I execute it
in manual the alert status changes to ACTIVE, but no email and no
messages in sending orders in SCOT.
Please help me to solve this issue.
    Thank you!

    Hi,
Since you are using RECIPIENT-TYPEID =C i.e. General distribution list, pls ensure to have shared type of list created in SBWP.
Also pls verify your SCOT configutaion , if apropriate address area i.e. *@abc.com
Also one point to note that even if you trigger auto reaction method manually via RZ20 , pls check if alert is listed in SOST.
if yes , that means there is problem in either SCOT configuration or distribution list.
    If alert is not appearing in SOST , that means you need to check auto reaction method parameters;
Z_CCMS_OnAlert_Email_V2 , here check release section if Auto reaction execution method is checked.

  • Remote system monitoring entry- data not relayed to Central system

    Hello Folks,
I am trying to establish a central monitoring system for our client. I am trying to test it in the DEV environment first.
The central system is a Solution manager system (Dual stack- ABAPJAVA). I am trying to bring in monitoring data from the ECC development environment (ABAPJAVA).
First of, i created to RFC connections in Solution manager system, one for data collection and the other for analysis. I have maintained the host address of the ECC system as target.
Then i have created a remote system entry in Transaction RZ21--> technical infrastructure entered the 2 RFC names and have executed the function.
At this point i am only trying to bring in ABAP stack monitoring data form the ECC system so i have not generated the CSNCONF file.
Now when i look in Solution manager RZ20-->CCMS monitoring templates, i can't see any data for the the ECC system.
I guess i am doing something wrong. Am i looking in the wrong monitor set?
As additional information: Solution manager (SMD) and ECC (ECD) use different transport domains / transport groups. I dont know if this makes a difference.
    Can some one please help.
    Regards,
    Prashant

    Hi Prashant,
if I understand correctly your system shows only MTEs from R/3 Stack, not from the OS side, pls check your SAPOSCOL. Are the data in OS06 in your remote system correct and do you see the current data, refredhed all 10 seconds?
To check your environment, pls do the following:
in th efirst step check in RZ21 > in the Topology part the System Overview for your system connection to your back end system. Are the Read Destination Data RFC and the Destination Analysis RFC correct and works the authority chek fine?
In the second step pls check in RZ21 > in the Agents for Remotey SAP Systems part; are there registered your remote ccms agents correctly and works the connection test.
Stop the agents and in your RZ20 monitor pls enter STAT in your command field. Are there displayed for your MTE nodes the read RFC destinations?
Start the agents and and in your RZ20 monitor pls enter STAT in your command field. Are there displayed for your MTE nodes the CCMS Agent RFC destinations?
To rebuild the Monitor in the CEN system you could try to reset the node of your remote system in the warm up status > go in the remote system to RZ1 > go to local segments  > change to edit > select your segments > reset segment in "WARMUP" status.
In the CEN system you coul try to go to the edit mode for the Agents for Remot SAP Systems > select your remote system and push the button Reinitialize Agents
In the back end system you can try to delete all MTEs in RZ21 > menu Technical Infrastructure > Reorgenize Segment Table > select the options with "ALL" in the CEN and the remote system to reorgenize all data.
Could you pls post for the missing MTEs a screenshot on the one side from the CEN system and on the other side from the remote system...
and last but not least you could try the following for missing OS MTEs
delete  ALALERTS, ALMTTREE and ALPERFHI in /usr/sap/ccms/<SID>_<SNR> and check in the agents folder all trace and log files for errors.

  • SAPRouter for remote logon

    Hi,
We have a typical scenario here regarding usage of SAPRouter.
Our user base is spread across various Ships and offices located across India.  We are planning to use SAPRouter to allow access to them.
How do we restrict access to the users based on their IP addresses (IPs will be changing if they use different internet service providers)?  Also, it would be difficult to maintain so many IP addresses in the saprouttab file.
Is there a different way to achive this type of access, other than SAPRouter?
    Regards
    Abdul

    Hi,
We have been on your situation, too.
We manage to use VPN Client from product of a well-known network vendor (rather than managing SAP Router)
From the security point of view, our network teams have managed user authentification so that authorized user only can logon to the system. So that only specified user can logon to the network.
From basis point of view, we don't need to reconfigure saprouttab file, restarting saprouter every time user is connected. Also, minimized for leakage of SAProuter, in example we wish to simplify saprouttab management by using string asterisk (*) that may be potential for unwanted user logon to your system (as long as they know your SAP router string)
How this VPN Client works (from user perspective)
they logon to the internet - starting VPN client agent on their PC or laptops - importing profile file - login using their VPN Client -  connect - and then they are on the same network with headquarters (work as if they are on the headquarters)
    benefit :
    - less SAP router management (changing saprouttab, restarting SAP router services, managing start/stop SAP router
    - centralized network access (by network team) so that only authorized user can access the network
    - you don't need to be worried if one or several of your user is resign or moving to another company, you just only to delete their profile from VPN user list. Imagine if you are using SAP router, the last barrier you have is SAP user authorization.
    - to secure who is authorized to access SAP system, you should manage SAP user authorization as well
    - ability to use your local application beside SAP : mail system, local application etc, because by logging in and connecting using VPN CLient, you are standing as if you are on the headquarters (office)
    - they are note depending on public ip of sap router (if suddenly changed)
    weak point :
    - once a user is connecting, they can logon to all SAP client he are able to login. we cannot make limitation of certain client here. the only limitation we can made is by user authorization for each client.
    - we cannot make limitation whether user A is allowed to use SAP only, user B is allowed to use SAP and mail only, and user C no limitation. once he is logging in, he will be able to execute or run any application he is authorized.
    hope it help you.

  • Search for [Remote Key] and [Remote System] in Data Manager

    Hello all
I would like to be able to search on the remote key and the remote system in the MDM Data Manager is that not possible? I thought I remembered seeing that possibility under the Free-Form Search but now I can't find it.
I have, however, found this in the Data Manager reference guide:
REMOTE SYSTEM AND REMOTE KEY FIELDS
MDM uses the remote systems defined in the Remote Systems table
within the MDM Console to store and maintain key mapping information
for each record or text attribute. It does this using a virtual “key
mapping” field that you never see in the MDM Client.
This virtual key mapping field is very much like a qualified lookup field
into a virtual key mapping qualified lookup table.
Key Mapping information stored in virtual lookup field
    The Remote System and Remote Key fields are normally not visible;
however, they do appear in several places in the MDM Client.
Specifically, both fields: (1) appear in the File > Export dialogs in Record
mode for exporting value pairs; (2) are recognized by the File > Import
dialog in Record mode for importing value pairs; and (3) appear in the
Edit Key Mappings dialogs in both Record mode and Taxonomy mode,
for viewing and editing value pairs.
Is there any way to search on the value in the remote key from the Data Manager?

Not sure search i think not possible.
But you can see keys as mentioned:
    Enable Key mapping in Console.
MDM Client maens MDM Data Manager.
They do appear in several places in the MDM Client or Data Manager. Three different methods to see in DM are given already below:
Specifically, both fields: (1) appear in the File > Export dialogs in Record mode for exporting value pairs; (2) are recognized by the File > Import dialog in Record mode for importing value pairs; and (3) appear in the Edit Key Mappings dialogs in both Record mode and Taxonomy mode, for viewing and editing value pairs.

  • Remote Keys for Multiple Systems

I am working on an SRM project where we have internal catalogs items (from ECC) and external catalog items (from Excel files) going into an MDM Catalog repository.  For both, we use a lookup table for the Supplier number to cross-ref to a supplier name.
We have a Supplier List message that runs from ECC to MDMCAT to populate this table.  In doing so, it creates a key mapping for the ECC remote system...which gets used for cross-referencing supplier names when catalog items load.
The issue...we do not have such a Supplier List from the external catalog "remote system", so when external catalog items get loaded there is no supplier number/name cross-ref happening.  I can manually create key mappings for the external remote system, but I want to automate it.
I am thinking about having our PI middleware make a copy of the ECC Supplier Lists and send them to a new port set up as the external remote system...thinking that this would generated extenal system keys...hopefully without duplicating supplier lookup records.  Before proceeding, I wanted to throw this out to see if there is a better solution.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Keith

    Hi Keith,
    some remarks:
if you send data from ECC to MDMCAT, the catalog items contain the supplier keys of the ECC system. That's why the import works automatically. If you want to reuse the ECC supplier keys, the first question to answer is: does your external system  use exactly the SAME keys as ECC? Only if this is the case, duplicating the ECC supplier message works for you. Otherwise you'd create keys for your external system that are never sent by the external system.
If the external system uses the same keys as ECC, the next question is how often do you update the supplier list in MDM? Regularly? Only once? If regularly your option with PI is a good idea. This won't duplicate supplier records as Import Manager (or MDIS) is able to identify already existing suppliers and updates the remote keys only (anyways you should check the related import map!). If it's a one time action only, you can re-open the same file multiple times for different remote systems with Import Manager. Then you wouldn't have to configure an additional connection from PI to MDM.
    Best regards
    Michael
