Certview Published Credentials arriving in garbled format

Hi, Looked for a while on this forum and couldn't find this. When I provide an email address for my credentials to be published to (i.e. prospective employer) all that arrives is a garbled email full of broken links and html code.
Here is a sample of the email received:
font></td></tr></br><tr><td colspan=2 ><font

This was sent to me by a prospective employer from the email they received. The asterisks represent where I have removed my real name from the text. Is there a known issue with publishing credentials from Certview?

I think there are two things you can do:
(1) Raise an SR at: http://education.oracle.com/pls/eval-eddap-dcd/OU_SUPPORT_OCP.home?p_source=OCP
(2) Publish the credentials to yourself to see if you to have the same problem. (I'd check mine out myself but I dont have the time this morning).

  • XML publisher output report in excel format

    Hi
I have created reports using XML Publisher, the default output preview format was PDF. While submitting the program, in the layout, I changed the format to EXCEL,it give me output in Excel. Now I need to send the output report as an attachment through e-mail.For this I have used a UNIX shell script to send the mail using uuencode and mailx commands.
I have fetched the name of the report from table using the following command.
    SELECT file_name
    FROM FND_CONC_REQ_OUTPUTS
    WHERE FCR.CONCURRENT_REQUEST_ID = p_req_id;
The name of the report is : XXBG_PO_IFACE_SO_RPT_8556321_1.EXCEL
Following is the command to send the e-mail.
    (cat $MAIL_BODY; uuencode XXBG_PO_IFACE_SO_RPT_8556321_1.EXCEL XXBG_PO_RPT.xls) | mailx -m -s "$MAIL_SUBJECT" $mail_id
I am receiving the mail with the attachement, but when i am trying to open the attachement it is throwing an error and nothing is displayed in the excel sheet.
Note: When I am sending the mail,in similar way, with 'PDF' attachement it is perfectly fine and the attachement is opening correctly.
    Please help me.
    Thanks in advance,
    Madhu kumar

    Hi schavali,
The error message is as follows
Microsoft Office Excel cannot access the file "https://xxxxxxx/Inbox/XXBG_PO_RPT.xls.
    There are several possible reasons:
    --The file path doesnot exist.
--The file is being used by another program.
--The workbook you are trying to save has the same name as a currently open workbook.
After throwing the error, it open s a balck excel sheet.
    Hi hsawwan,
I have gone through the thread. I am able to see the report when I click the output tab on the concurrent request screen.
But the problem is, when I am sending the output report as an excel attachment then I am facing the problem.
There might be some problem with uuenocde or mailx command.
    Thanks
    Madhu Kumar.

  • XML Publisher report output in RTF format does not display full page

    Hi,
We have one XML Publisher report, the output of report in RTF format is not getting displayed in Full Page in normal way (MS Word -->View menu --> Print layout) but we can see full page display when we do MS Word -->View menu --> Outline.
Appreciate your valuable inputs on this.
Is this a template issue or any profiles needs to be set.
    Thanks

Do you have any header and footer on your template?
If you have any header and footer then try to adjust it as of to display full page.

  • XML Publisher to Excel Report : Date format problem

    Hi,
I am trying to create an Excel report with XML Publisher. I have an issue with the Date Fomatting.
In the XML template, I have set the "Date" column in date format. But the excel output report "Date" column returns as "General text" (string) and it is sorted as text, not as date.
Can anyone please help me out?
    Thanks!!!

    Hi,
Did this post solve your problem? I have the same issue that I need to solve.
I have an xsl-fo template with dates in it.
    The dates are in english.
My excel is setup to use danish.
When I export to excel it knows the month jan, feb, mar, apr, ... which are the same in danish and english.
But months where it differs like may (danish maj) the cell is a general text instead of date.
Is there anyway you can set/transform the date in the xsl-fo template so it does not care about the language in excel?
    Thank you in advance.

    Marketing Image
Think of the eBook marketing image as the eBook’s “cover.” It is the image shoppers see when browsing online for eBooks and on their eReader’s “bookshelf” when they purchase and download your work.
When creating and editing your marketing image, you should design the image to capture a shopper’s attention. The art and text should be clear, crisp, and easily read when viewed as a thumbnail.
The marketing image consists only of the front cover art, which should include the book title and author name. Unlike print books, there is no back cover or dust jacket flaps on an eBook cover that can be used to provide author information or a synopsis of your work. Therefore the marketing image could be the first, and last, impression a shopper has of your work.
The Marketing Image must be created to the following specifications:
    Dimensions: At least 612 x 792 pixels (8.5” x 11” or 21.59 cm x 27.94 cm)
Resolution: 72dpi or higher to provide a clear image when viewed in multiple sizes
To create or edit your marketing image:
Choose the Marketing Image Theme, which includes placement of the title and author name you entered in the first step of the publishing wizard.
To add your own background or cover design, click the Backgrounds & Pictures tab. Click on the marketing image thumbnail and follow the instructions to upload and save a new marketing image.
To edit or remove the preconfigured title and/or author name from your marketing image, click on the Text tab.
    a.  To edit the title or author name, use the text editing options displayed on the page.
    b.  To remove the text, deselect the check boxes next to Show Title and Show Author.
Note: If you change the title of your eBook, you should return to the first step of the wizard and update the project's title field.
When the cover is as you want it, click Make Image > Save & Continue.
    Review Your Project
Review your project. Click the Change button for any section that needs adjustment. If everything is to your liking click the Save & Finish button.
Your eBook is now available for purchase in the Lulu Bookstore, unless you chose to create a private project for your personal use.
    Describe Your Project
If you chose to sell your project in the Lulu Bookstore, you should include a bit more information to help readers find your eBook.
Go to My Lulu > My Projects.
Click on the eBook title in the Projects list to open the Details page.
From this page you can click the Edit buttons in each section to add a book description, select the proper book category, add search keywords to help users find your eBook, and select a copyright license type. You can also create a preview for your book and set its price.
    Set Your Project Price
Set the price for your eBook and click Save Changes.
E-books can be given away for free or sold at any price $0.99 or higher.
For PDF eBooks, the author receives 90% of all revenue above $0.99. (Authors earn no revenue on eBooks sold for $0.99.)

  • RoboHelp 10, not publishing glossary terms in selected format

I'm creating a project using a WebHelp layout in RoboHelp 10. In this project, I'm using the Glossary Hotspot Wizard to link key terms and definitions. After running the Glossary Hotspot Wizard, the applied format shows correctly in the project. However, when I publish the project, RoboHelp is not applying the select format.
This is the Style format used:
This is how a sample glossary term appears in my project, prior to publishing:
This is the raw HTML code:
Finally, this is how the term appears in my published project output:
The hotspot is still there and clickable, but the formatting has not been applied. The problem here is that the user wouldn't know to click on the word unless they move their mouse over the it.
Why would RoboHelp would overwrite my selected format like that during published, and is there any fix?

Hi R Tomchuk and welcome to the RH forums.
Can you start by telling us where you are publishing to. Is it a server? What type of server? The fact that you can see the hotpost operating as you expect in the generated output (which presumably on a local or network drive) suggests that there is something on that server that is affecting things. Do you have another server location you can publish to to check this theory out?

  • RH8 RoboHelp HTML published as web help TOC format

Is there any way to manually tweak the TOC formatting in a published set of sub docs that were generated from the root books of a RoboHelp HTML project?
Original project had Install Guide, Admin Guide, etc. which are now published separately. Problems: all files for all books are in each published help system. Browse sequences contain all topics. TOC format got 'lost' so tab names rather than icons are used for ...TOC, Index, Glossary, etc. even though Icons are in the projects. Individual projects open with one book, which must be expanded. No colors in TOC, and uses a different (and noticeably larger) font from the topic.
Since this one-off was done to an unknown version of the content, I'd be better off mucking with the cshdat and wh files than the content of the topics.

...just now revisiting the project that precipitated the original request. I have additional info and a request:
The separate help documents had been published without resetting the browse sequence. As it is today, (because browse sequences were not updated), many hyperlinks jump out of the published books and over to an earlier build that has a single TOC (same IIS server, but completely different path).
I learned that a RH HTML project can have multiple TOCs. So, my new question: is it possible for three TOCs to keep thier own browse sequences and access one common set of published HTM topics?  How would that be engineered? I don't quite know how to manage hyperlinks that reference topics in one of the other books. I don't want to inherit the wrong browse sequences.
The alternative is to generate help from the 4 different TOCs into 4 different folders, which is a lot of replication.  Like Siamese twins, there's a lot of cross sharing built into the original project, so in most cases, the "see also" relationships would give each separately published book 100% access to all the topics, but from a limited TOC.

  • E-mail attachments I send arrive as garbled unreadable e-mails

This seems to happen randomly with messages I send whether I use Entourage of Mail. My attachments sometimes go through and sometimes they don't. They become unattached and the recepient receives this message:

this format, some or all of this message may not be legible.

    And the garble continues.
My mail server is bellsouth.net a POP server. Bellsouth says every thing from their end is fine. Also checked with Microsoft and they say it's a server issue. In the meantime I'm stuck in the middle.
I did find in your discussion groups someone having a similar problem with an IMAP mail server, but no solution was given.
My clients are getting frustrated too because I continue sending worthless files.
Please help!!! I invested too much $$$ on this computer and programs to be having problems like this.
    Im desperate!!!
    Tanya
ibook power pc g4 Mac OS X (10.4.6) Mail server: bellsouth (POP server)

Hi Tanya, it is rather strange that even a simple word docu attachment would create such a problem.
By "right", even if you just started using either MS Entourage or Apple Mail fresh, and did not go deep in to reconfigure anything... the attachment like this "should" get through to "most of the computers", Mac or PC wise.
Let me raise an example of my personal work experience regarding using Mail's "Send PC Windows Friendly Attachments" and when you may need to turn on or off this feature.
In my company's cable media line, I need to send Jpeg images as "Still On Air" slide to our On-air Presentation Suite (where all the channels, beaming etc are) to put up say, a "Breakdown Slide", all of them use PCs; If I need to send them this Jpeg file, extension aside, which we all agree is by now a standard protocol whether it's sending to a Mac and/or PC, if I turn on Mail's Windows Friendly feature, this Jpeg image file will be "embedded" into my email, and they will have no way to extracting it out as a Jpeg image file to put to use, I have to turn that feature off so the image file is like a regular attachment that goes through.
So as for your case, maybe part of the reason, you may want to check with your ISP, and also the companies you are sending email to, whether their company servers have any form of various of different filter system or standards; Let me take any example, we sometimes also send Targa image files, (.tga) which is for on-air Channel Bug (the channel logo you see on the corners of the TV screens), and this Targa file has a alpha or matte channel; But somehow our own company's servers "hates" targa files and will filter them off, treating them like junk!
So the solution is to compress the file, zip it and it will go through.
So maybe you want to "experiment" and zip the file and see whether it will go through nicely.
Mac OS X has its own Compression feature built-in, so you don't really need DropStuff or anykind, highlight the file and right-click, select "Create Archive of xxx" (being the name of the file, or folder) and then you go, a zip file will be created.
    Cheers

  • Published iWeb site the hyperlinks formatting

When I view my published iWeb site the hyperlinks do not all have the same formatting as they did in iWeb. How can I resolve this?

Hello, I am using iWeb 3.0.4 (601). I publish the website to my local machine (from iWeb) so I can send it off to someone more technical to publish to the internet and manage all of the 'optimisation' etc. This is where I am seeing it is not as it looks within iWeb. Can I 'send' it to you somehow? Thanks for your response.

  • XML Publisher Reprint/Republish in PDF format only?

I searched Metalink and didn't find an answer to this.
Here's how I thought reprint/republish was supposed to work in Apps:
    1. Run concurrent program, choosing template and output format
    2. View output and I see the template/output specified
    3. Reprint/Republish, choosing possibly new template or possibly new output format
    4. View output and I see the template/output specified
    (repeat 3 & 4 as necessary)
    For example:
First run: template Detail, output Excel --> result: Detail in Excel format
Reprint/republish: template Summary, output Excel --> result: Summary in Excel format
If this is how it's supposed to work, does anyone know why the reprint/republish would ignore the output and always generate PDF? The proper template is run, but it seems to ignore the output value (only on reprint/republish). Even if I reprint/republish the same template/same output, it generates a PDF.
We're on Apps 11.5.10.2 and just applied patch 5472959. I'm not 100% sure, but I really thought this was working prior to the patch being applied.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Can someone on Apps 11.5.10.2 who has applied the patch (I believe it upgrades the server version to 5.6.3) check and see if the behavior I described is the same on their system?
Or can someone tell me if this is expected?
    Thanks again.

  • Why do I keep seeing Missing required field: Publication when I try to publish a file in iBooks format?

I have produced a book in iBooks format and filled in everything asked for including but I can't slide the file into the window area and I get a message, Missing required field: Publication. I don't understand what I need to do to complete the transaction. I hope someone can understand and tell me what to do. Thank you.

Thank you. You're dealing with an old woman doing her best here.   Sorry, I was somewhat distracted when I posed the question having been wrestling with it all afternoon. Yes, I am using iTunes Producer and have filled in all the information requested including cover art. The file is saved in iBooks format.
I click on Files at top left, which I assume to be the thing to do, and get a a new page showing red circle with a number 1 in it. Clicking on that produces this :
"Drag and drop the full book that will be used on the iBooks store. Books can be in the EPUB or iBooks format. Submitting a new book version will replace the existing version on the iBooks store.
    Missing required field: Publication. "
I have tried to drag and drop the file into the box on the left but it won't allow me to. Clearly something is missing but I don't know what. I am just baffled as to what is wanted.

  • XML Publisher report default output in Excel format.

    Hi,
We have defined one concurrent program whose output format is text, this concurrent program executable is PL/SQL and in this PL/SQL program we are generating XML data and displaying XML using below fnd_request.
    l_conc_id := FND_REQUEST.SUBMIT_REQUEST('GMP','GMPPDROP','', '',FALSE,
         p_sequence_num,chr(0),'','','','','','','','','','','',
We have also defined template for this.
Using below fnd_request we are choosing template and data is getting generated in PDF format. Now our requirement is to display the output by default in Excel format.
    FND_REQUEST.SUBMIT_REQUEST('XDO','XDOREPPB','', '',FALSE,'',
    l_conc_id,554,G_comb_pdr_temp,
    G_comb_pdr_locale,'Y','RTF','',scale_report,'','','','','',
When i saw XML Report Publisher concurrent program, there is one parameter for Output Format and i tried passing 'Excel'/EXCEL/excel to this parameter but output is still coming in PDF format.
    FND_REQUEST.SUBMIT_REQUEST('XDO','XDOREPPB','', '',FALSE,'',
    l_conc_id,554,G_comb_pdr_temp,
    G_comb_pdr_locale,'Y','RTF','Excel',scale_report,'','','','','',
I have also tried giving Default Output to EXCEL in template definition but this is also not working.
    Your valuable suggestions highly appreciated.
    Thanks
