Cfcontent/cfheader doesn't support file pause/resume.

I'm testing the possibility of using cfcontent to serve my file downloads for security purposes. Files in the web root seem to be open to all on the web but I can use cfcontent to serve files from an otherwise unaccessable directory. The downloads are working great but they cannot be paused or resumed in a download manager. Am I doing something wrong or what?
Here's my code;
<cfif isdefined('url.downloadpath')>
    <cfheader name="Content-Disposition" value="attachment; filename=#replace(url.filename,' ','_','all')#">
    <cfheader name="Content-Length" value="#url.filesize#">
    <cfheader name="Content-Type" value="application/octet-stream">
    <cfheader name="Content-Location" value="./?#query_string#">
    <cfcontent type="application/octet-stream" file='#url.downloadpath##url.filename#'>
    <cflocation addtoken="no" url="./?#left(query_string,find('&downloadpath')-1#">
</cfif>
Thanks,
Jon

Where did you learn that turning the iPod off and later turning it on takes more power from the battery than leaving it in sleep mode? I'm not saying that you are wrong, just interested where this info came from.

    I want to print file labels but the avery ap doesn't support file labels, is there ant way to print file label from an ipad?

    You cannot save to Dropbox from Pages natively, but there is a workaround that allows you to use the Copy to WebDAV to get things to Dropbox:

    As to the "Send to iTunes" command "not playing ball", if you'll post specifics, perhaps someone can help you sort that out. It should be pretty straightforward.

  • E3000 support file & print sharing

    I recently bought an E3000 to replace my failed WRT54G v5.  With the E3000 I can't get my shared Windows folders to be accessed from my other PCs.  I called telephone support and they informed me that the E3000 doesn't support file & printer sharing.  WTH?  Is this true?  If so, I'm going to return the E3000 and get my money back.  But I never heard of a router not supporting file & printer sharing.  My WRT54G handled it just fine.

    There may be more than cause for this problem but I was able to fix it using some suggestions from others.
    The following assumes your network shares work OK until the E3000 is connected. For example, you may replace an older router with the E3000 (and sharing worked OK with the older browser) or you add the E3000 to an existing network where sharing was working OK.
    The E3000 can make an attached USB stick or HD accessible on the network as a shared device. If you don't need this, change the workgroup name (under Storage -> Administration) to something that is NOT the same as the workgroup name on your computers. How about "E3000Storage" or something like that?
    You may need to restart one of the computers on your network after you change the setting in the router. After the restart, you should be able to use your network shares.
    Here is my theory of the problem. Computers in a peer-to-peer network must decide with computer acts as the master for network requests (called the Master Browser). There must be one and only one Master Browser for each workgroup. Apparently the E3000 either becomes the one Master Browser and then malfunctions or it interferes with the computer that is the Master Browser. By putting computers in one workgroup and the E3000 in another workgroup, the interference is avoided.

  • Video does not play: "Either windows doesn't support the item's file format......"

    Error message
    "Either windows doesn't support the item's file format or the content doesn't match the extension"
    I have both a Yoga and a Thinkpad 2. The Yoga is running Win 8 and the Thinkpad 2 has 8.1 Preview.
    I have copied multiple video files which are in either .avi or .mp4 containers.
    Some will play and some will not. I have installed all sorts of codec packages and players and the problem is the same. I though it might be a container problem so I tried to convert the file and the converter I used did not work.
    Searched the Internet and nothing really useful was found.
    Then I discovered a common thread. In the files that played, the codec information displayed when checking in properties and the ones that did not play, did not have the information.
    I have a video file on a USB flash drive and checked the properties and the information was there and I could play it from the flash drive. I copied it to my desktop and the file would not play. In checking, the codec information was not present.
    There seems to be an error in copying files where the requisite codec information is not being transferred.
    I have tried this multiple times and multiple permutations of transferring. Sometimes it will play from the desktop and will not play after transfer to the microSD card.
    Each time when it plays, the information is there and each time it does not play, the information is not there.

    I have CS5 and when I try to download a raw file from my Nikon 810 I get an error message saying this version of raw doesn't support this camera model. Yet I just updated CS5 online.

    I do not use lightroom and  I have a subscription so I can open all supported RAW formats. You will need DNG file for Your Camera's NEF files for use in Photoshop ACR version.  You can open your NEF files in LR it seems so you could do all your raw conversion with Lightroom and save out Tiff files for processing in Photoshop.   I do use lightroom for I do not need its library.  Lightroom does not support layered files so lightroom is of no value to me.  ACR UI is all I need having a second interface to Adobe Raw Conversion Engine would more annoyance than value to me.

  • Itunes doesn't respond to keyboard pause/resume key

    I recently had to replace my old HP Pavilion running Windows XP SP3 and iTunes with a new system.  The new system is an HP Compaq 8200 Elite CMT with an Intel Core i5-8400 CPU, 4GB memory, running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit.  I have a Logitech wireless keyboard K320 and mouse M510.  The keyboard has keys to launch a selected "media player" application, which I have configured to launch iTunes, as well as keys to increase/decrease/mute the speakers and also a key to pause/resume media playback.
    I have installed iTunes 10.4 on this system, and it seems to be working fine for the most part.  The "media player" key launches iTunes just fine and the keys to control the speakers work great.
    However, the pause/resume key isn't working with iTunes.  To verify that it works at all, I launched Windows Media Player to view a WMV file and while it runs it responds correctly to the pause/resume key.  So that pretty much rules out a problem with the keyboard or with Windows not capturing the key press.
    This used to work on my older Windows XP system (which has unfortunately died completely, so I have no easy way to go back and double check).
    Has anyone else run across a similar problem with "multimedia" keyboards that used to work just fine?  Does anyone have a solution?  I'd really like to be able to pause playback conveniently when I'm away from my system.  I know I can display the main iTunes screen and do it there (and I can even do it wiith just the spacebar since I've got the extended keyboard shortcuts enabled), but I'd really like to be able to just use the pause/resume key to do it (since that's what it's for after all).
    Thanks in advance for any feedback and especially for a solution if there is one.

    This is apparently a bug in iTunes 10.4 for Windows 7.  It may be a bug in other versions post 10.3 also.  The fix appears to be to deinstall iTunes 10.4, roll back your iTunes library file to the one from 10.3 (fortunately for me, I had not made any significant changes in my library after I installed 10.4), then install the most current 10.3 kit, which does NOT have this problem.
    From the Internet searches I've done, I've found references to using an mmkeys.dll file that you need to put into your iTunes plugins folder (which I have done), but the presence or absence of that file makes no difference in the way iTunes 10.4 for Windows 7 behaves.
    I've also found assertions that this was a bug in the Windows versions prior to 10.7 and got fixed, but it would seem the fix got broken again in 10.4.
    Perhaps we will get lucky and Apple will see fit to fix this defect, which is a functional regression.

  • Exporting file to PowerPoint 'Object doesn't support this action'

    Hi -

    Export To PowerPoint
    Compatibility
    We currently support:
    u2022     Microsoft PowerPoint 2000 / 2002
    u2022     Microsoft PowerPoint 2003
    Note: To ensure compatability, you may be prompted to install "Service Pack 6 for Visual Basic Runtime." If so, you must accept the installation and once installed it may ask for a system reboot which you may ignore.
    ActiveX Security
    Depending on your browser settings, you may be prompted to install 'Nakisa Office Components.cab'. This is our ActiveX component that will allow you to use our Exporting functionality.
    You may also be prompted to allow the ActiveX to run. If so, you must select 'Yes' to continue.
    Note: If you are not prompted and the export fails to occur, please verify your Microsoft Office installation and verify your browser's ActiveX settings are set to 'Enable' or 'Prompt'.

  • Flash file doesn't support all browsers

    hi guys,
    I have flash file which accepts data from Javascript using
    swfObject.js and displays it dynamically(using addVariable). But
    the problem occurring is it doesn't support all browsers. I have IE
    6 and Mozilla Firefox 3 with Flash player version 10 installed in
    it. I am not able to run the file on it. I can't understand why as
    the code written in as3 and in javascript is right. Could you
    suggest some solution?

    Just as a thought,
    Following are the reasons when you can't see a flash movie.
    1. No flash player installed
    2. Browser is not having Javascript enabled and noscript tag
    is removed from HTML published from Flash.
    3. Incorrect path for swf is inserted in the HTML page.
    4. There is an error at the very begining of the flash file
    which is stopping it to show properly.
    5. Browser settings are disabling object/embed tags.
    I am able to see your link in both IE7 and FF3 browsers. So
    what I think is, in your case the reason is 5 or 2.

  • The "combine supported files in Acrobat..." option either disappears or doesn't work

    I have tried searching for an answer on this with no joy!
    We have documents that we regularly produce here that are a mixture of Word, Excel and PDF documents, all combined into 1 PDF. Currently we have to convert each document into PDF individually, then combine these into 1 large PDF.I have tried several different file types for the word documents (i.e. .doc .docx .dot) and in every case either the  "combine supported files in Acrobat..." option disappears from the right click menu, or after moving to the 2nd page in the "combine files wizard" under "Warnings/Errors" they come up with the error "cannot convert file type to PDF. Please remove this file from list."
    This is happening on several PCs, some with version 8 and some with version 9 of adobe. We are using office 2007 in case this is relevent?
    Any ideas how we can change this?
    Thanks in advance for any help.
    Tom

    Hey TomHawes,
    I checked for the same. The .dot file extension does not support the option for 'Combine files to Acrobat' when combined with other .doc and .docx files.
    You might need to first convert it into PDF and then combine it with other files.

  • I have a PVR which supports DLNA connected to my home network.  I want to access files on my MacBook from the PVR.  I understand that my MacBook doesn't support DLNA. Is there any 3rd party  software that I can install on my MacBook to provide DLNA?

    Hi,
    Can anyone help me please.
    I have a Personal Video Recorder (Humax HDR-1010S), which supports DLNA, connected to my home network via Wi-Fi.
    I want to play music from iTunes and view photos from iPhoto from my MacBook (which is also connected to the home network) via the PVR / TV / Home Cinema sound system.  I understand that my MacBook (running OS X Mavericks) doesn't support DLNA server.
    Is there any 3rd party  software that I can install on my MacBook to provide DLNA server?
    Thanks,

    My recollection is that the iPhoto library has some fairly robust protections to prevent inadvertent or even deliberate changes being made that might have unwanted consequences. I'll take alook at my setup and let you know if I can see anything that might help you. Even if you get Serviio to "see" the iPhoto library, it almost ceratinly won't show the album structure and names. What I did is to export each iPhoto album to a standard folder with the appropriate folder name. These I keep on an external backup disc and Serviio can see these without trouble.
