Change Default GR Processing Time
Hello,
In material master, MRP2 Tab: In SPRO, is it possible to change the default Goods Receipts Processing Time (WEBAZ) for every material?
If not, I may run a mass update for every existing materials. But would it be possible to make a GRP time 3 days default for new materials?

Changing default still image time from 150 frames to timecode option?
I want to change the default duration for still images under Preferences in CS6. It is showing up as 150 frames by default. Is there a way to change this so I can just enter it as timecode 00;00;03;00 instead?
Thanks.Most of the time, 30 frames per second is a safe way to calculate things on a 29.97 sequence. If you really have a problem with that, and many animators do, since you are using still images, use a custom setting for your sequence. Create one using 30 frames per second and use non-drop frame timecode. Use square pixels and No Fields (Progressive).
Now, if you are turning this over to someone for use in a commercial, for example, where the exact number of frames is required so that 30 seconds is not exceeded, then that is a different story.
Your second question - sorry - but you really want to determine the duration prior to importing the image. Once you have the image in the project, the duration is already set and must be changed for each and every one individually. As far as I know, you can't set one and then copy the duration to the others. -

thanks and excuse my english.Hi, It's interesting that you say recordings from Freeview should be as you say. Does this mean that my Vision box's time is out? Where does it take it's time sync from I wonder. As the box is connected to The Internet, it could sync from a time server the same as a PC does. I'm not having problems with programmes overrunning and that clashing with a scheduled start recording time, I can see that would cause a problem. It's the fact that recordings are starting 2 minutes early. I have watched this happen a number of times because when you are watching, you have a message on screen asking you what to do, stop recording the current programme, or not record the one that is starting. If you happen to be looking at the Vision box when that happens, usually by stopping the current recording, you can get away with that, as most programmes are over well before the actual end time. Then the new recording will start. But if you're not looking at the Vision box, it makes it's own decision, which is usually not to record the starting programme. Although I don't record any of the Multicast channels, if I did, the the fact that they start 2 minutes early would cause a problem. Why do they start early? It just causes unnecessary annoyance. Changing Default "Keep Alive" & " Max Processing Time" values in SMICM
Dear Experts
As you aware the default values in SMICM --> Go to --> Services The default values "Keep Alive" & " Max Processing Time" of services like HTTP & HTTPS is 30 sec & 60 seconds respectively.
Every times when we restart application server - we are increasing the time values manually. once we restart they will be reset to original 30 & 60 sec respectively.
I want to make customozed values permanently which should not be lost even after restart of application server.

PRIf you have not set the PROCTIMEOUT parameter, TIMEOUT (or icm/keepalive_timeout) defines both the processing timeout and the keepalive timeout. Also, as of release 6.40, the keepalive timeout is limited to a maximum of 30 seconds.
In a system where the default timeout settings of 30 seconds for the keepalive timeout and the processing timeout are not sufficient because of long-running applications, we recommend that you set the TIMEOUT and PROCTIMEOUT parameters for the relevant services so that you can configure them independently of each other. In addition, we recommend that you do not set the TIMEOUT value higher than necessary, for example, to the usual default value of 30 seconds.
We recommend, for example, the following settings:
icm/server_port_0 = PROT=HTTP,PORT=1080,TIMEOUT=30,PROCTIMEOUT=600
to allow a maximum processing time of 10 minutes.

Changing default Work Center during CATS time entry
Hi Folks,
I am hoping someone here can throw some expert advice.
Currently during time entry in CATS, we have Work Center coming in from the Work Order. Its getting defaulted without any option to change it. Business here has a need to change it. I have llooked into the CATS profile to see if there is a place that enable the WC to be defaulted.
In Transaction CAC1, there is a section that shows what fields are being defaulted during CAT2 time entry. However I do not see the Work Center as one of the option there.
Can any one help?
In short, where do we disable the defaulting of the WC from the Word Order during time entry?

Adding to what Kapil said; if the work centre is a grayed out in time shet screen then you can go to CAC2 transaction and make it editable. By this way users will be able to change the work centre on screen.

I have changed default language in the program & have set Language & region in system preferences. My Word (Mac2011) keeps on changing the default language to US english every time I check. Please help!
If you're having trouble making changes to files that are inside your home folder (represented by a house icon in the sidebar of a Finder window), or if you can't get changes to the settings of an application to stick, then please see below.
Back up all data.
This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership and access-control lists to the default. If you've set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. Do so only after verifying that those settings didn't cause the problem. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it.
I've tested these instructions only with the Safari web browser. If you use another browser, they may not work as described.
Step 1
If you have more than one user, and the one in question is not an administrator, then go to Step 2.

Changing default "From / To" Event time from 12:00AM???
I've giving up trying to find out how to change the default From / To time for an event to something more reasonable than 12:00am. Does anyone know how to do this, so that when you create an new event, it is created with a time other than the default, without having to go in and override it each time an event is created? Thanks.

First, refresh the the com.apple.iCal.plist file. You will find the com.apple.iCal.plist file in your Macintosh HD/Users/yourusername/Library/Preferences Folder. Quit iCal, drag the com.apple.iCal.plist file to your Desktop, log out/in or restart.
Then before restarting iCal, open System Preferences...>Language & Text>Formats>Region: and set/reset the appropriate region.

Can I change default settings for Windows Serial Latency times through LabVIEW
I have a wireless data collection device my company makes that I am trying to use to test one of our other wireless products. The device sends serial data to a PC through a USB port. I have written an automated LabVIEW program to test all the functions of my new product. However, after pulling in data, I have realized that the serial data comes in very fast and requires that I change the default Windows latency time for the COM port from 16ms to 2ms to not miss anything. This is easy enough for me to do locally on my machine, but much harder for me to spec for an offsite CM.
Is there a way to have my LabVIEW program change the latency time of the Windows COM port from 16ms to 2ms automatically?

AD - 'Change First Name' process task is rejected by default - OIM 11.1.2
Hi All,
I wanted modification to be auto provisioned to AD account when user attribute is changed.
For this created 'Change First Name' process task and made entry in "Lookup.USR_PROCESS_TRIGGERS" lookup def.
I followed the link Enabling update for provisioned user in OIM11g
When I changed first name of a user from identity console, 'Change First Name' process task is assigned to XELSYSADM. But the status of the process task is Rejected. Also, the changed 'First Name' value is not updated in the process form of the user. Hence the change is not reflected into AD.
Please tell me why the status is Rejected and changes are not reflecting.
Also, Please provide the solution to auto provision the modifications into AD.

One more query.....
In my case when 'city' attribute is changed its invoking 'Change city' which inturn invokes 'City updated' process. Now when city is updated I need to updated 'Organization Name' in AD process form and make it reflect in AD.
For this, I created 'Change Org Unit' process task which will populate 'Organization Name' field in process form, so inturn it will invoke 'Organization name updated' process task.
I made 'Change Org Unit' process task as dependent task for 'Change city', so once the 'Change City' process task status is 'C', it will invoke 'Change Org unit' process task.
But, 'Change Org unit' process task is not being invoked.
Could you pls provide me solution.

Change default boot display, is it possible?

I have MSI N660 TF 2GD5 OC card with two devices connected: 1) LCD monitor via DVI-D, 2) Projector via DVI-A.
Every time I turn on the PC I don't see anything on monitor until Windows starts. Video output during boot process goes to projector even though it's turned off.
Is it possible to change default output during system start up?
Swapping connectors isn't possible physically, because DVI-A have extra pins that won't fit to another socket.
If not, whats socket "default priority"? I'm thinking of buying hdmi cable for my projector to fix issue, will it help?The dual link DVI-I connector you are most likely using for the DVI-A device is the primary connector. If it is connected to any display it will always be used for primary display when starting.
Solution would be to use the Projector with a DVI-A or I to HDMI or Displayport adapter or DVI-A or I to DVI-D adapter so you can use the monitor with the DVI-I connector. -
What is Microsoft's official policy regarding the processing time for HCK2.1 Driver Submissions?
Can someone point me to a document that states the official policy stating their maximum review time? This info used to be in the WLK1.6 FAQ but I don't see it for the HCK2.1 suite.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I'm sure LabVIEW uses the (default) Windows timer. And yes, 1 mS is not guaranteed due to the preemptive nature of Windows (and even "RTOSs" to varying degrees), which is why I see about plus or minus 2 mS.
Apparently the Windows timer can be set by API calls. See: http://www.lucashale.com/timer-resolution/. Here's a screen shot of his TimerResolution.exe on a Windows 7 PC:
Here it is on my Windows XP PC after I set it to "Maximum" (initially it was 15.625 mS):
Notice that it sets the Maximum to less than 1 mS, which is supposed to be the max, so there are some bugs. Plus the Default button does not reset it in XP, but does work on Windows 7 or 8. (I know this is not the place to "debug" non-LabVIEW applications!)
I'll bet LabVIEW sets it, too. The only caveat, as I said, is it looks like another application can change it, since the hardware timer is a "global" timer. I have not seen this issue in my LabVIEW applications, have you?
I guess I need to do some more digging to see the code to set the timer, but it looks like the developers of LabVIEW have it figured it out.
(FYI, I did notice that running my LabVIEW app (which gives about 2 mS resolution) or a C# app, which gives 15.625 mS resolution, does not affect what TimerResolution.exe reports, so I'm not sure if it's really working correctly. If I figure it out I'll post the results.)

SRM error 'process time remaining' for Rfx
The simultaneous opening of the RFxs were performed. But it was not possible to open the offers as the system was showing ' process time remaining'. At that time the times remaining for the 3 RFxs was shown around 4 hours 30 minutes. The offers were tried to open next day. Again the system was showing ' process time remaining', but the time remaining for the 3 RFxs are shown about 2 hours .Please suggest .

Also as far as I am aware, by default, simultaneous logon is only available for RFXs with two-envelope RFX responses. The following is a detailed explanation of the process from 1 of my colleagues:
Two-Envelope response opening process:
01. Buyer creates a RFx/Bid invitation with the transaction type that
is configured for two envelope bidding.
02. Enter the mandatory datas: submission deadline, bidders, items,
permissions for technical/price/tender fee opening, etc
03. Publish RFx.
04. Login with bidder and "Participate" to receive emails.
05. If tender fee is requested, then pay tender fee with bidder user.
06. Create a Response with bidder user and submit.
07. Now you have to wait till the submission deadline has been passed
to give the chance for the other bidders to participate in the RFx
process.
08. After the submission deadline has been passed the buyer has to
"Initiate Price/Technical RFx Response Opening" for a certain given
time (which can be set earlier.)
09. A new window will pop up to start the simultaneous logon.
10. Provide password and hit the approve button.
11. The pop up window will display Technical Opener's name.
We can see the time remaining to perform the Technical opening
12. In the next step, we will have to login to perform the technical
opening. Do NOT close this window or do NOT logoff from the portal.
If you think you will require more time to perform the technical
opening you can extend this time. This will give additional minutes
to perform the opening.
13. To perform technical opening:
Login to WTS or open a new session of Internet Explorer and login
to Portal. At this point in time, you will have two sessions:
- one on your local computer
- and one in WTS/New session
14. Open the rfx and click on Open technical rfx response.
15. The Technical Opener/Reviewer now authenticates himself/herself by
entering the password. After it hit "Approve" button.
16. In the next step you will receive a message:
"User approval successful"
17. The Simultaneous Logon and opening of technical/price RFx response
is now performed.
18. Hit on Close button to close the pop up.
19. Hit on Close to close the RFx screen.
20. You have to wait till the Response opening time has been passed.
21. After the time has been passed the Response can be opened.
If the document changes in the meantime and if it needs approval (no
automatic approval is configured) then you have approve the documents
in the process with a given user.
