We need to implement the return to vendor functionality and I have the following queries
1) Does the return PO and delivery followed by the goods issue happen automatically? once the complaint transaction is released
2) Can Service Confirmation be integrated with Advance Complaint Management

  • Integration with  with 3rd Party Document management System

    Hi
    We are implementing Invoice Management in SAP, using the Opentext VIM ECC Addon.
    The Customer has a 3rd Party Document Management System called DocHarbour which is NOT Archivelink enabled.
    The process flow is that Invoices will be scanned and available in a share drive somewhere.
    Using SAP and Invoice Management Work, we would like to attached these documents to the relevant SAP Documents, and then post them to the 3rd Party Doc Management System , but the Images must be retreival in SAP at any time .
    Everything tells me the 3rd party Doc Management System needs to be ArchiveLink enabled for this work.
    Is anyone able to shed any light on this issue , provide possible solutions , workarounds or infor ?
    Any help or information appreciated.

    My suggestion would be use SAP Content server provided by SAP as is easily available and easy to setup.
    Doing Integration with third party involves much time and efforts.
    Client always thinks of Moon. Always show him his city.

    My FI consultants encountered a message 'Saved trip entailed no cost' upon clicking of SAVE button at transaction PR01 (Travel Expenses).
    Any idea what is the meaning of the above msg and what is the missing configuration to get rid of the msg ?

    I am also interested in this.
    Whenever we are creating advance, system pops up this message.  Because, it has integration with funds management this message comes up.  It says, no commitments were set up as there were no costs associated it.  But even advance is also cost of a trip.  But system is not recongizing it.
    Is there anyway we can overcome this. Also, because system doesnt recognize advance as an cost, it doesnt display it in PR05 screen.  It shows as 0 in reimbursement column.
    Highly appreciate if someone can give us some clarity on this.

    Can you please advise how actually the transfer of clock times from time recording terminals to SAP R/3 will work?
    I read from help.sap.com that there is a SAP certified CC1 interface (BAPI based) which can be used for this purpose. However, in such a case, the time recording terminals should be SAP CC1 certified.
    If the time recording terminals are not SAP CC1 certified, then what is the method to be used? Will we write a custom BDC program in this scenario and what all should be considered in functional specification of such a BDC program.
    Please advise.

    a. Define the return reason codes
    b. Define the refund codes
    c. Define the inspection code catalog
    d. Define the order types that are relevant for advanced returns management
    e. Define the logistical follow up activities
    f. Define the number ranges for inspection sheets
    g. Define the default values.
    Follow the node under advanced returns management. Please let me know if you need any specific information. Refer to the guide for advanced returns management in the SDN papers.

  • Incorrect Return PO Quantity in Advance Returns Management

    Hi,
    Issue Description - Return Sales order is created to process returns for multiple materials. In Returns sales order, Return Reason, Follow up Action(Ship to Vendor) and Refund controls are keyed in. Note that Advance Returns Management is activated. Returns delivery gets created and inspection is done on the GR line items. On saving the inspection, a Return PO to the Vendor is getting created. Issue is Return PO is getting created with correct quantiy for the first line item but for the second line item, the quantity is getting increased. No customization has been done. Tried to identify the bug through debugging but didnt materialise. Can any one help with any note or corrective action available for the same?

    Try to do a trace with ST05 and check if any userexit, VOFM, BADI or enhancement is working. I do it when debugging sessions are expensive in time. If you need any other advice, don't hesitate, tell me.

    Creating Device Categories in IS-U  
    Procedure
    1. Choose Utilities industry >> Device management >> Technology >> Device category >> Create.
    You branch to the initial screen for creating device categories.
    2. Enter the required data and choose a basic device category to be allocated to the device category. Chose Continue.
    - If a material exists for the device category specified, you branch to the screen Create Device Category: General Data. Go to step 3.
    - If no material exists for the device category specified, the Create MM Material dialog box appears.
    Here you can create a material in MM in the background. Processing is then continued on the next screen for device category maintenance.
    3. Enter further data for the device category and if necessary add additional basic device categories. Save your data.
    You branch to the initial screen for creating device categories.
    Result
    The device category was created in IS-U. In addition, a material master was created in the background.
    If you want to use all of the MM functions available, you must extend the material master you created in IS-U in MM.

  • Attachements in material inspection of Advanced Returns Management

    Hi Gurus,
    there is a button in material inspection of advanced returns management (ECC 6.0 EHP4) to upload attachements.
    I assume, that they use Archive Link funktionality to store the attachements.
    Does someone know, what's to customize (if Archive Link: which Business Object and document type) so that I can upload the attachments ?

    Hello,
    I've got the solution for the problem fron the SAP.
    If a content repository A2 (in transaction OAC0) is configured it's possible to store attachments to the material inspection.
    A configuration for a specific business object and/or document type is not nessessary. It works just with the content repository A2.

    Here it is possible to charge an employeeu2019s cost center with the fee for attending a business event (e.g. training course, workshop). The business event organizeru2019s cost center will be credited and the attendeeu2019s cost center will be debited.
    Crediting of the senderu2019s cost center  Debiting of the recipientu2019s cost center
    The costs incurred from actually holding a business event can be transferred from the resources cost center to the business event organizeru2019s cost.
    Crediting of the senderu2019s cost center  Debiting of the recipientu2019s cost center
    In SAP Configuration:
    Training and Event Management > Integration->Billing and activity Allocation-->Activity Allocation and cost transfer posting.
    Please do above configuration and create business events with or without resourses, in that you can maintain cost centre to post the expenditures .

    Java class integration with OIM happen through concept of adapters. You can go through OIM documentation of how to create adapters.
    In your case you should create a process task adapetrs adn attach it on the Approved response code in your approval process.
    Desingn Console --> Process management --> Process definition --> <Apprlication Process Ex: AD User>.
    Alternatively you can also send notification using OIM OOTB email templates.
