Change of original email address

Hi
20'th of June I wrote a letter to support about changing the original email address to the new one.
I registered my skype account near seven years ago and that email was my working email.
I quitted that job - so i need to change my email address to restore password.
I still have ability to send from that address but cannot receive letters on it.
ISSUE ID: AC002-LX-000
I have been asked to proove the address by sending the email from it to support - and i had done that on the 25'th of June.
And i still have no any answer from that time - even i sent two emails with asking of my problem progress from that time.
Trying to restore password still is answering that my new email is not registered in system - howewer i can find myself using the new address.

just to check, using another Skype account, can you please try to use the search/add contacts option to see if your account will be shown if you enter the new email address in the seach box? If that account has not been used for quite a while, it might have been tagged as inactive by Skype (not sure though, I hope a mod, superuser or a staff will confirm or deny this possibility). If this would be the case, i think this would be another concern that you may need to bring to the attention of the customer support dept.

I have just noticed that the email under system preferences for iCloud is an old one that does not exist anymore. How do I change this? Can you also tell me if I delete this account - will it affect what I have stored on the computer e.g. what is in my photos etc? You can change the (non-Apple) email address which forms your Apple ID to another one at http://appleid.apple.com. If you are going to do this you should follow this procedure to avoid problems:
Firstly, if you have 'Find My iPhone/iPad/iMac' enabled on any of your devices, turn it off.
Create a new email address, for example at Yahoo or Gmail, or anywhere convenient (or you can use an existing address as long as it has never been associated with an Apple ID).
Go to http://appleid.apple.com and click 'Manage your Apple ID'. Sign in with the current ID.
Where it says 'Apple ID and primary email address' and gives your current ID email address, click 'edit'.
Enter your new address and click 'Save changes'.
Now you will need to go to each of your devices and sign out in System Preferences (or Settings)>iCloud - 'Sign out' on a Mac, 'Delete this account' on an iOS device (this will not delete the account from the server).
Then sign back in with your new ID. Your iCloud data will disappear from your devices when you sign out, but reappear when you sign back in (give it time).
I re-iterate: before you start, turn off 'Find My Mac' (or whatever) or you will need the services of Support.

How to change an inactive email address in icloud?

I just bought a new iphone 6 plus however during start up, I entered an old/inactive email address in icloud and during creation of apple id. I manage to restore to factory settings and get started again using new email address and apple id. However, I cannot change the original email address in icloud and moreover, I cannot find Facetime icon (maybe restricted by service provider since I am currently in Saudi Arabia). Please help. That's simply not possible. If you used an inactive address you wouldn't be able to continue and verify the address, which means that iCloud cannot yet be set up using that address.

I changed my apple id email address to try jumpstart my account to send me a verification email for iCloud activation. It worked but now I cannot change back to my original email address. It says its in use.

I am writing this on behalf of a friend of mine. To understand my issue let me explain how it started. My friend has a apple ID with email address (lets call it) [email protected] when activating iCloud on her iPhone a email was sent to verify her account. This was not done and rendered the iCloud feature disabled due to not being activated. [email protected] is the correct email address and works. A form of troubleshooting I used the iForgot service to test if the email address was correct and mail flow from apple was working and it worked fine.
I logged into apple id to manage account and resend activation email for iCloud. this did not send the mail. I waited 48hrs but to no avail.
I decided to kickstart the account to force it to send to another email address by changing the primary email address from [email protected] to [email protected] it worked and I verified the address and iCloud is now active. However now I cannot change the primary email address back to [email protected] as it says its being used by another apple ID.
I then tried iForgot with the [email protected] email address, it says it sent a email to [email protected] but nothing arrived in [email protected] or [email protected]
I have this feeling the [email protected] is stuck I'm memory on my apple ID some how but can't get it to forget [email protected] so that I can use it as my primary email address again.
I have tried to log into iTunes with my original details [email protected] and password but says its incorrect.
any advices in this would be greatly appreciated.

The idea to jumpstart by change was not the smartest one, but gives you an opportunity to use that "temporary" account as permanent. You do not have a choice cause obviously despite you thinking that old account is no more -it does exist on Apple servers. And if you are unwilling to share your [email protected] with friend, just create one extra [email protected] for your friend. One suggestion - do not use gmail.

The old email address may well still be valid as your iTunes AppleID, however if you have no other email associated with that ID you clearly won't get any automated emails to it.
I still use an old defunct email for my iTunes AppleID.

Have you forgotten your password? - if so, you have a problem if the email address has gone dead.
If you know your password, go to the iTunes Store, click on Account. log in and you can change the associated email address.
If you don't know your password, and have no email address, you are going to have problems because it's difficult to see how Apple are going to identify you as the authorised owner of the account. Contact iTunes Support: go to http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/ - click on 'Other iTunes Store Features' in the list and then on 'Podcasts'. You will see a link to either 'Express Lane', which will guide you eventually to some contact options, or you may see a link to email them.

That's Activation Lock. You will need to remember the Apple ID and password you used to set up the phone.
If you can't remember them, you can go to iforgot.apple.com to try to recover the information.
If you are the original owner of the phone & have proof of purchase, you can try calling Apple to see if they can assist also.

I show and old defunct email address for my Apple ID on my APP store, iCloud, and iTune accounts and cannot log in. I am told my ID or password is incorrect. I did change my primary email address. that is the app ID that is showing.

If you mean you are trying to delete your iCloud account in iOS 7 and you don't know the passwod for the old ID, do one of the following:
If you still have access to your old email address, go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your iCloud ID. Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email account and verify it. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You should then be able to turn off Find My iPhone with your password. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back and change your primary email address and iCloud ID back to the way it was. You will then be able to go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current ID and password to reconnect to your iCloud account.
If you don't have access to your old email address, you will have to contact Apple to get them to reset the password for it so you can disable Find My iPhone and sign into your iCloud account. You will have to prove your identity to them in order to do so. You can either contact iTunes support for assistance with this (https://ssl.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html), or contact Apple Support (http://www.apple.com/support/icloud/contact/).

Change primary account email address?

Is it possible to take a newly created sub account and make it the primary account email address? If so would this carry over to other linked services (ie Flickr) so I could delete the original primary email address

Sorry, but I'm going to question this again. The only way a BTinternet user can have a flickr pro account is by the association with their Broadband email address (either primary or sub account). Using any other email address (e.g. payg) will get the user a very limited Flickr account.
Unless the primary email address already in use by Stuart is converted to a sub account, then it is likely to cause problems and effectively stop them being a pro user.
The link you quoted has nothing to do with altering the user's Flickr status which is actually in question here.
Now - I am not saying that you are wrong, to me it just doesn't add up with the info I am aware about with regard Flickr pro accounts.

Changing the alternate email address

My mother has the same alternate email address as my iCloud account, so I've been trying to change her alternate email address. However, when I go to manage my Apple ID on her account, there is no edit button next to her alternate email address. Also, when I go to mail settings on her iPad the iCloud account information displays my iCloud account as her email. Is there any way I can change this, as it's very annoying.

Forgive me. I mis-spoke. It is the "alternate Apple ID" that I need to delete or change. When my co-worker retired we bought him the iPad2 and in the process of setting it up for him it originally got set up using my email address because basically we didn't know what we were doing at the time. A year later I purchased an ipad for myself using my email. Now under my account name, etc..it shows MY apple id, my email address, and his Apple ID as the alternate Apple ID.

EPrint can't be reactivated with the original email address

I have an OfficeJet Pro 8600 Plus that I enabled webservices on and personlised the email address in the HP ePrint Center.
For some reason, web services got disabled by the printer (maybe because I pulled the power plug when I moved the printer to a different location). Only after sending a PDF to my ePrint email address, I figured that all webservices were disabled, because the page didn't get printed.
Now, after I had enabled web services again, the printer received a new email address from the HP cloud. Unfortunately, I cannot change that email address to the original email address that I had chosen when I first setup the printer. When I type in the email address, the HP ePrint Center website tells me that this email address is not available and suggest me a list of alternative email addresses.
How do i get my original email address back?
Any ideas?

At this point in time personalized emails will be locked out for 6 months when web services is disabled, so you will have to use a different email address. Most of the time people will just add a number to the end to keep things simple.

You can update the primary email address on your account by logging into it by tapping on it in Settings > iTunes & App Store on your iPad, via the Store > View Account menu option on your computer's iTunes or via http://appleid.apple.com

How do I change my iCloud email address as I made a small spelling mistake when creating my new iCloud email address originally?

When a user creates an icloud account, they use an Apple ID, like [email protected] to define it. If this use of an ID is what you mean, then NO you can't change it without creating a new ID and thus new account.
But if all you want to do is have a different email address associated with the account, then that you can do by defining an alias email address. Using a computer's browser, log into icloud.com and go to the Mail page. In the upper right there's a cog wheel, click that and then choose preferences, then accounts. In the icloud account, you can add a new alias. Note that it must be of the format [email protected]

When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.
