Changed PO Approval required in ECC.

Dear ALL MM consultants,
We have one of the requirement of our client that
the following change to the PO will require approval:
u2022     Value;
u2022     Change of cost element
When the PO is transferred from SRM to ECC system , should not ask for PO approval unless it is changed for Value and cost element (Cost Centre / Network) in ECC.We has SRM System where approval of the PO is taking place and from SRM system PO are transferred to ECC System. Once there is a change in the Value and Cost element in the PO in ECC system then PO should go for reapproval in ECC system (PO should ask for approval again).
Is anyone came across the same scenario for their client. Please help me with the tips and steps for this scenario to configure.
Note : We have version management also activated for the PO. Version Management is activated for Doc type and Purc Org.
Regards / Rajeev

Hi Jennifer,
Since SRM PO will be leading PO in extended classic scenario, why donot you design the process controlled workflow in line with the existing release strategy that you are using for ECC PO?
Thanks and regards,
Ranjan

  • Change Mail content for standard mail 'Simultaneous logon approval required' in 2 Envelop RFx

    Hi Experts,
Please suggest, we have a requirement where we need to Change Mail content for standard mail 'Simultaneous logon approval required' and Simultaneous Logon Successful in 2 Envelop RFx in SRM.
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Gaurav

    Hi Gaurav,
    please implement BADI /SAPPSSRM/BD_SIM_LOGIN
    Enhance Simultaneous Logon
    Use
You can use this Business Add-In (BAdI) to incorporate customer-specific functions into the initiation and completion processes for simultaneous logon and to adapt simultaneous logon e-mail notifications.
    Method PROCESS_FINISH
You use this method to add customer-specific functions to the simultaneous logon process. This method is called on completion of the simultaneous logon process.
    The following parameters are provided
    IV_EXT_GUID
Process ID of the external process
    IV_MODE
Indicates the mode of the e-mail function (completion)
    CV_SUCCESS
Indicates whether the process was successful
    IV_SET_GUID
Process ID of the customer-specific process
      Method PROCESS_INIT
You use this method to add customer-specific functions to the simultaneous logon process. This method is called on initiation of the simultaneous logon process.
    The following parameters are provided:
    IV_EXT_GUID
Process ID of the external process
    IV_MODE
Indicates the mode of the e-mail function (initiation)
    IV_SET_GUID
Process ID of the customer-specific process
      Method SIM_EXT_MAIL
You use this method to change the content of the e-mail sent to participants on successful initiation, completion or failure of the simultaneous logon session and to define the external process that is calling the simultaneous logon application.
    The following parameters are provided:
    IV_OBJECT_ID
    Business object identifier
    IV_MODE
Indicates the mode of the e-mail function (initiation, completion or failure)
    IV_EXT_MODE
Indicates the external process, for example, technical RFx response opening, of the calling application. This could be any process for which you want to use simultaneous logon.
    CT_MAIL_BODY
    Content of the e-mail
    CV_MAIL_SUB
    Subject line of the e-mail
    Standard settings
If the customer does not define a BAdI implementation, SAP delivers a default BAdI implementation. The default implementation incorporates the simultaneous logon process with the two-envelope RFx response process. You cannot use the simultaneous logon process with standard RFxs in the default implementation.
    Activities
Information about the implementation of BAdIs in the context of the enhancement concept is available in the SAP Library for SAP NetWeaver under BAdIs - Embedding in the Enhancement Framework.

  • Alert 7055 - Manual Approval Required, XML messages to ECC not Triggered.

    Hi All,
I have a behavior in our Client Production System.
We have setup a process in which if a PO confirmation Dates are -5 / + 5 days appart then that line item should result in Manual Approval Required.
Even though a PO line item is in Status  "Manual Approval Required" a XML message is triggered and a AB confirmation gets created in ECC.
Issue we faced:- even if the Confirmation Dates are within range still the PO was ending up in Manual Approval specially if vendor enters multiple Schedule lines for the same PO line item with Dates with in +/- 5 days.
In our Test system , we implemented notes given by SAP to fix the above issue the issue looks fixed but,
Now the behavior is if the line item is having Status "Manual Approval Required", NO XML messages are getting triggered for a PO with Confirmation date beyond +/- 5 days.  Once the the approval is given and Schedule line is Adopted the XML is getting triggered correctly.
I want to know from all the Experts on to understand which behavior is correct is Production correct(excluding the Bug) or the Test systems not triggering XML unless the Manual Approval is given.
I did read SAP help but i am not understanding since SAP mentions both behavior  not Clear when such behavior should occur.
Please help to understand thsi behavior.
    Please advise.
    Thx
    MJ

    Hi MJ,
The behaviour in your Test system is correct.
When there is Manual approval is required which means deviation from requested which first needs to be accepted by customer in SNC.
If Purchase order item status is Manual approval required and XML's are getting trigger which updates ECC with AB-confirmation then customer will assume PO is confirmed without deviation until he/she compares requested schedule line and confirmed schedule line.
SAP standard behaviour is also same as your Test system behaviour see the help link(In process point#6)

  • PO approval process in ECC for extended classic scenario

    Hi All,
At this moment we are using SAP ECC for procure to pay process. In the existing system set up, our ECC purchase order goes for approval via SAP enterprise portal(EP). We are planing to implement SRM 7.0 Extended classic scenario, so that user can take the advantage of creating PO in their web portal. We don't want to disturb our existing ECC PO approval process at this point of time.
    So our requirement is :
User will create PO in SRM. Same PO will replicated in ECC and the PO will goes for approval in in ECC and the PO output will generate in ECC. Can it me possible in extended classic scenario ?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Offline Approval in SAP ECC 6.0

    Hello experts,
Requirement: Approvers should be able to approve SAP workitems from Outlook mailbox without directly logging into SAP.
From my searches in SDN, I understand that Extended Notification along with Single Sign On will take care of most of the requirement, except that the approvers still need to have SAP login credentials and they will actually be executing the SAP workitem from the shortcut in the Outlook email.
Although Extended Notification provides a number of advantages over RSWUWFML2 in terms of HTML support, Web UI Support, consolidation and forwarding of workitems and such; the core functionality is still the same i.e. providing SAP workitem shortcuts in an external email.
Is there any way, we can get actual offine approval functionality in ECC like it works in SRM? The following wiki describes the steps required.
    http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/SRM/Offlineapproval-generalconfiguration
This is not available in ECC but is there something similar?
Or can a similar functionality be developed on the ECC side?
Has anyone attempted some development on similar lines?
Thanks in advance for your suggestions and advices.

HI Could you please check the details below this all is present in the Basic settings guide which you could find in the SAP help portal
An alternative method of setting up mail via SMTP is described in SAP Note 455140.
As of SAP Web Application Server 6.10, the SAP system's kernel supports SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) directly, meaning that e-mails can be exchanged between the SAP system and any SMTP-compliant mail server without the need for any additional external components. In the outbound
direction, the SAP system passes the mails to a single mail server, whereas in the inbound direction mails can be received from any number of mail servers.
As of SAP Web Application Server 6.20, faxes and text messages (pager/ SMS) can also be exchanged via SMTP. For this purpose, the faxes and messages are packed into e-mails. For sending, the mail server refers to the domain of their recipients' addresses and forwards the e-mails either to an internal fax/text message server (for example, [email protected]), or to an external provider (for example, [email protected]). For receiving, the fax/text message server or provider sends e-mails to addresses with the SAP system's domain (for example, [email protected]).
    Prerequisites
The mail servers involved must be SMTP-compliant.
If you want to use text messaging in the SAP system, then you must define names for the messaging services to be used, such as SMS, with transaction SA14.
    Procedure
Setting the Profile Parameters (Transaction RZ10)
You must adapt the SAP Web Application Server’s profile if the SMTP functionality is to be used. The SAPconnect send job can only be scheduled for servers on which SMTP is active, so ideally you should activate SMTP on all of the SAP system’s application servers.
You must set the profile parameters below. The placeholder <*> stands for the sequence number (starting with zero) of parameters that occur several times.eicm/plugin_<*> = PROT=SMTP,PLG=<prog>
This loads the SMTP plug-in. It is a dynamic library that implements the SMTP protocol. <prog> specifies the file name of the SMTP plug-in.
The program is located in the execution directory of the SAP Web Application Server instance, has the name smtpplugin and the extension typical for your operating system (.so, .dll, and so on).eÈhTÙï icm/server_port_<*> = PROT=SMTP,PORT=<port>
This opens a TCP/IP port for the reception of mails by the SMTP plug-in. <port> specifies the number of the port that is to be used. This port must not be occupied by any other program on this host. If no mails (including status notifications) are to be received in this SAP system, you can set <port> to 0.
You can use TIMEOUT to define an optional maximum time (in seconds) that is to be waited for a response from the mail server.eÈhTÙï is/SMTP/virt_host_<*> = <host>:<port>,<port>,...
This defines a virtual mail host for the reception of mails. If all inbound mails (including status notifications) are to be received and processed in a single client of the SAP system, this parameter is not required and is/SMTP/virt_host_0 = *:*; is taken as the default. If several clients are to receive, a virtual mail host must be created for every client. <host> specifies the name of the host
to which inbound mails are addressed. You can specify * here if the mails are to be distributed independently of the host addressed. <port> specifies the number of a port to which inbound mails are addressed.
User Administration (Transaction SU01) You must create a service user to process the inbound mails in every SAP system client in which mails (or status notifications) are to be received. You use transaction SU01 to create a user of the type Service and assign the profile S_A.SCON to it
    Client Assignment (Transaction SICF)
Each SAP system client in which inbound mails (or status notifications) are to be received and processed must have an SMTP server. In transaction SICF, there should be one SMTP server (called SAPconnect) supplied in every SAP system. You use this one for the first client then create an additional SMTP server for each additional client. You make the following settings on the SMTP server
Host data -- You enter the sequence number of a parameter is/SMTP/virt_host_<*> from the profile. If you only have one client and therefore did not enter a parameter of this kind, you enter 0.
Service data-- You enter the client to which the mails received via this virtual mail host are to be forwarded, as well as the logon data of the system user created for inbound mails.
Handler list You enter CL_SMTP_EXT_SAPCONNECT as item 1.
    SCOT :
Default domain--- Under SettingsDefault Domain, you define the domain of this SAP system client. This is used for the following purposes
The SMTP plug-in logs on to the mail server using the domain as ID.0ˆN=?ü
The message ID of outbound e-mails is compiled with this domain.0ˆN=?ü
If an SAP user who has no Internet mail address maintained sends an e-mail, a sender address    composed of the SAP user name and this domain is generated
Node----There is always one SMTP node in each client. This node is created by the SAP system and cannot be deleted. To configure the node for sending Internet mail, you:
1.Ensure you are in the Node view.
    2.Double-click on the node name.
    3.Select Node in use.
4.Specify the mail server to which outbound mails are to be passed in Mail Host and Mail Port.
    5.Choose Set adjacent to Internet.
6.Specify the address areas of recipient addresses that are to be reached via this node. This is usually * if all e-mails are to be sent using SMTP.
7.Enter output formats for SAP documents. The following settings are recommended here:SAPscript/Smart FormsPDFABAP ListHTMBusiness Object/LinkHTMRAW TextTXT
    8.Confirm.
    Send job
E-mails sent from an SAP application are merely put into a queue. A periodic background process, known as the SAPconnect send job, takes the e-mails from this queue and sends them via the Internet. To schedule this job from SAPconnect administration, you:
    1.Choose ViewJobs.
2.If there is not already a job scheduled, choose JobCreate.
3.Enter a job name and confirm.
4.Select the variant SAP&CONNECTALL by placing the cursor on it.
    5.Choose Schedule Job.
    6.Choose Schedule Periodically.
7.Enter an appropriate time period, such as 10 minutes.
    8.Choose Create.
    Inbound
If you want inbound e-mails to a specific address or with a specific content to automatically start a program that processes these e-mails, you can configure this under Settings>>Inbound Processing.
If you want inbound e-mails to a specific address or from a specific sender to be automatically redirected to another recipient or distribution list, you can configure this under SettingsInbound Distribution

  • CATS - Status after changing the approves times

    Hi gurus,
    Scenario -
    1) Employee enters time through ESS   with profile lets say ZESS
    2) MAnager apporves the times
    3) HR administrator can change the apporved times, if they want to lets say with another profile ZADM
    What happens:
    1) What would be the the statf us of the records changed by Time administrator after approval by Manager. Would it be in process or approved.
CAC2 - I did not find any settings under the cats profile definition where we can determine this behaviour
    Requirement
we want the status to go to In process so that manager approves ti again
Any ideas if ther eis any setting to do this.
    regards
    Raj

    Hi,
The status of the records changed after approval becomes 50 "changed after approval". you can view the records and its status in table CATSDB. Goto SE16 and give CATSDB.
For those records which have been changed, system will automatically create new records in CATSDB table with status 20 "released for approval".
Now, these records will be picked up for approval by the manager.
The connection between the old and the new records is the reference counter field in CATSDB. Check the fields "counter" and "reference counter" for the connection.
    I hope this helps.
    Thanks

  • Limit PO price changes are not replicated to ECC backend

    Hi all,
    SRM 5.0 ECS SP13.
When I change the value(increase/decrease) in limt PO which is already created(PO is changed for first time) and order the PO,under Overview screen.,the PO total value(at header level) shows the correct changed /new value while at the Item level, the Net price is shown as the old value! However when I go and check the item details, the  field "VALUE" and "EXPECTED VALUE" have the changed/new value.
Because of the above issue, the PO changes are not replicated to ECC backend system. When I tested the BAPI BAPI_PO_CHANGE1 with the test data, there is no error mesasge in ECC backend system.
After this, when I change the PO for second time(again value increase/descrease),the total value and net price is shown correctly in SRM and changes are also replicated to ECC backend system!
I have also checked the cong for SPOOLPARAMETERS under Set Control Parameters and eveything is set correctly as shown below
SPOOL_JOB_USER     User that execueds spool job.     CUA_ADMIN
SPOOL_LEAD_INTERVAL     intervall by which the retrytime incr.     60
SPOOL_MAX_RETRY     Max. number of retrys for writing BAPIS     10
Can someone throw some pointers how to resolve the above issue.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi
can you recreate the same issue
    are you saying that
    1. create a limit po for 100 USD and replicated to ECC AS 100 USD total value.
2 . now update the PO in SRM 150 USD and it was not replicated to ECC ?
    or
    1. limit sc
    2. Limit PO
    3. update not reached ECC.
Note 1284361 - Limits not transferred to backend purchase order
    Symptom
    Extended classic scenario.
You have ordered a purchase order with more than one hierarchy item containing a limit. The purchase order is created or updated in the backend system without errors but the limits are missing in the backend purchase order.

  • To change the approval limit for Extended attribute PO Value limits

    Hi,
We are on SRM 4.0, in PPOMA_BBP for a local purchasing organisation we want to change the approval limit let us say from 100 to 50 but the system is presenting this field as non editable( In stabdard values sub screen)
In Extended attribute tab in organisation structure after selecting the PO Value limits in SRM 4.0 we see two sub screens
    a) Standard values
    b) Local values
We want to change the approval limit in standard values sub screen from 1000 to 500, which system is presenting as noneditable.

Same problem here. Batteries last about 10 days. Checked each with a digital multimeter. One battery was drained, the other was perfect.
I replaced the dead battery and marked the other one I left in. One week later, the new battery was dead. The marked battery was fine. The mouse is defective, it is only using the power on one side. Time for a return to the Apple Store. I hope it will be a quick swap.
