Changing organizational structure in SRM

Hi All,
We are in production with SRM 4.0 since 1.1.2006 and using R/3 since 2003.
Our company intends to change the organizational structure (delete, merge, move
organizational structure).
We are going to copy our PROD systems (both R/3 and SRM) to other systems to be able to apply and check the changes.
Problems:
1.     How is it possible to replace “LogsysXXX” to that of the new backend for each attribute in the organizational structure, for every organizational unit? The attributes are not inherited data because they differ from one another, and there are many of them within the org structure (for example the attributes “plant”, “purchasing org and group” have the “LogsysXXX” defined as part of the parameter. There are about 600 users with 50 attributes each in all the org structure; therefore a manual process would not be acceptable.
Note: We didn’t copy the HR organization to the SRM org structure.
2.     Documents which are being processed and at the time of “copy client” and were already created in SRM (PO, POR, SC), point to the old backend (“LogsysXXX”).
How do we change this pointer in existing documents to the new backend system?
Best regards,
Rami

  • Error while creating the Organization structure.

    Hi,
I am trying to create an Organization structure in SRM 5 sytem, I have created a Root for the structure and when i try to click on the Attribute Inheritance or the Check tab below i am getting an error "Start program BBP_LOCATIONS_GET_ALL first (see note 563180 and long text)" but i have replicated one plant from the R/3 system using BBP_LOCATIONS_GET_SELECTED and the material groups and all the other relevant datas from R/3. I can see in the table BBP_LOCMAP the plant been associated with the relevant company code. I am now struck in creating the organization structure. I am not sure where i am going wrong while creating the Org model. Please give me your valuable inputs to overcome this error.

Go to transaction SM30, table T77S0
Add an X to the following entry:
    Group = EBP
    Sem abbr. = LMIGR
    Val. Abbr. = X
    Description = Locations Successfully Migrated
This tell the system that the locations have been replicated and the error indicating location get all needs be executed will go away.

  • How to change organizational unit .

    Hi Experts,
I have a rule in which some responsibilities are defined. Could anyone please tell me how to change the values in the Rule like I want to change the persons listed there to someone else.
Also if there is any way to change the organizational structure and what will be the steps.
    Thanks
    Papiya

    Hi
To change rule go to PFAC and make copy of this rule.Later go to edit mode and change it (eg Function module that is used there or values in container tab).
To change rule result you can also in workflow schema change Binding between rule and task (you will find there import parameters that influence rule result).
to change organizational structure (eg in SAP CRM) you have to go to tcode ppoma_crm and make changes.
later launch special report to attach those changes to transport.

  • CRM Organizational Structure PPOMA_CRM

    Hi Guru
    FIRST QUESTION
do you know if is possible and how to "transport" the organizational strucure from Develop to Quality to Production ?
    SECOND QUESTION
Is there a tool (standard or custom) in order to change Organizational Structure without PPOMA_CRM ?
The issue is that we have many new roll-out countries so many new position, users and so on,
adn it is very expensive to create all "manualy".
    Can you help us ?

    [email protected]

    Hi Davide,
In response to answer your two questions, the following:
I do not believe it is possible to transport your organizational structure from one environment to the other. Organizational units are created in a similar fashion as business partners and hence are assigned a guid. When transporting these entities these guids must be recreated and therefore preventing your from transporting. More importantly, even if you would find a way to transport (probably using some custom coding) I would never recommend to do so as this is the basis of your CRM system and is prone to cause instabilities.
Your second question, I would recommend either the manual approach or using some kind of CATT script to ease such tasks but based on previous response, I would again recommend to take the 'long' route while minimizing any risks in causing inconsistencies in your environment.
    Hope this helps,
    Tiest.

  • Upload new organizational units to Organization Structure

    Hi,
Is there a way to upload new organizational units (e.g. purchasing groups) to the organization structure in SRM from a file??
    Regards'
    David

    Hi,
There is no functionality for uploading the Pur.groups.
The only way is to create the purchase groups under respective purcahse org.
One important note here is, after creating the pur.group, its manadatioy to add position ID of the concerned person, during the assignment stage.Only then he will become the active pur group.

  • Sales organization structure changes in COPA

    Hi All,
My client like to change Sales organization structure like Distribution channel, division, sales office, sales group etc. and profit centers in sales orders.
from 01/01/2011 we like to post all open sales order's settlments to new sales organization, distribution channel, division, sales office, sales group and profit centers in COPA.
What is the best way to achieve this?
    Any help is appreciated.....
    Thanks,
    Anusha

    Hi,
I think COPA realignment should work for you.
If you can establish the exact relation ship between old Sales org structure  to new Sales org structure, you can design your realignment in such a way that the new sales data will reflect the new structure.
    For this,
1.You need to select the sales documents for which you want to change the sales org.
    2. If you want to derive them again, you can do so
    3. If you want the sales org structure elements to be replaced by new ones, you can do so.
Following a realignment, only the new assignment is known in the information system and in planning. The characteristic values valid at the time the original posting was made can only be analyzed in line item reports. Because the existing profitability segments are changed to adhere to the new assignment, all objects assigned to those profitability segments - such as sales orders or projects - and all existing SAP documents - such as billing documents or FI documents - reflect the new assignment as well.

    Hi,
I'm afraid the only way is tcode: SCU3 (Table History), but it's not user friedly.
Most important info is stored in tables:
    HRP1000 ( object info ),

  • HR Org structure delta changes not replicating to SRM

    Dear All,
We recently found out for some unknown reason new HR postions and users and HR org structure re-assignments are not replicating down into our SRM org strucure.
We have implemented SRM 4 on Server 5.5. The HR system is running on ECC4.
Does anybody have an idea what is causing this and how to fix this?
We need to get delta replication working in our production environmemt ASAP.
    Thanks in advance.
    Sheena

    Hello Sheena,
I was not on the net last days. :o((
    ECC 4.0, is that R/3 4.7 ex 2.00?
From your post I assume that you already transferred initial organization structures from HR. Is that correct?
Update will use the same filters and number ranges that you have for initial load. As for attributes, I am checking that also, but do not think that you will loose it.

  • Organizational structure creation

    [Organizational Structure creation using HRMD_ABA;
Appologies if you saw this message on Friday, because I did originally post it under the general area. I was hoping that if I re-posted it under this area I might get a few more responses. I have included the one response I  got, plus my reponse, which does contain more detail about how I ran PFAL - program RHALEINI, and re poses the question about what needs to be created in SRM re an organisational structure, prior to doing an initial load using transaction PFAL.
    Many Thanks
    Claire
I am trying to set up the organizational structure in our SRM 7.0 system using our ECC 6 organizational structure. I have created all the required distribution models for SRM and ECC 6, and have set up the switch settings in SRM. The number range settings have been set to external.
As per OSS Note 36317, which concentrates on the initial distribution, and I am working through, I have run PFAL in ECC 6 only for object type O. The HRMD_ABA idocs have been successfully transferred to our SRM system, but all are at status 52.
The message for all the idoc segments is:
'You tried to create a relationship from object 01O 50000333 to object 01S 50000846. However, object 01S 50000846 does not exist or is not active in the period from 19000101 to 99991231'.
One thing I haven't done, which might be incorrect, is create an Organizational Plan in SRM. I specifically haven't done this because I am wanting to use external numbering, and therefore thought the organizational plan would get automatically created as part of the initial distribution.
Does any one have any idea how to resolve my problem?
    Many Thanks

It looks like you are replicating "S". After the "O" replication you should run the "S".
Please refer to the OSS note 934372 u201CSRM/CRM: HR integration for business partner u2013 new featuresu201D & SAP Note # 550055 EBP/SRM: New integration for business partner as well.

    Hi Ashutosh
I intend to replicate 'S', as described in the note, but nothing has been created with my initial replication of 'O'. As per the note 363187 you are supposed to distribute type 'O' first before moving on to 'S'. Is there anything really fundamental I have missed that you are supposed to do in SRM either before or after the initial set of idocs for type 'O' are brought in?
I have also read the other 2 notes you mention.
    Note 363187 stated:
'Perform the following steps in the sequence given if the target system is a
    mySAP.com system (SEM, CRM, BBP/EBP):
    1. If you want to use the change pointers for later changes, activate
them at once. During initial transport, you should not maintain the
data in parallel in HR because the distribution takes the blocking
mechanism into account, which can cause an incomplete initial
    transport.
    2. All objects of object type O are distributed with program RHALEINI. As
a transfer mode, the update mode with infotype 1000 selection should
    be used.
This way you make sure that all objects of object type O are created
in the target system for existence checks.
    3. As previous step but for object type C.
    4. As previous step but for object type S.
So far all I have tried to do is up to step 2.
When running RHALEINI I have entered the following:
    Objects - Object Type = 'O'
Reporting Period - Today is selected
Transfer Mode - Insert is selected, with the Update Mode infotype set to 1000
I did think making a setting under the Update Mode Infotype seemed a little odd, as I was doing an insert, but is this not what point 2 from the OSS Note is telling me to do?
Any thoughts would be really helpful.
Am I supposed to create a skeleton Org structure before pulling in the ECC 6 structure when I am using external numbering?
    Thanks

  • Organization structure in extended classic scenario

    Hi All
I  am trying to configure extended classic scenario on SAP SRM 7.0.  I have made the following settings for the same:
    1. In SPRO->SRM Server-> Technical Basic Settings -> Define backend system from product category, I have specified target system as SRM system and not ECD system
    2. In SPRO->SRM Server->Cross Application Basic Settings-> Activate Extended Classic Scenario, I have selected all the options including "Back end purchasing group responsible"
    I have a few doubts.
    1. In organization Structure (PPOMA_BBP) Comapny code is corresponding to company code in back end but do I have to create local purchasing organization and local purchasing group i.e. in Functions-> Corresponds  I'll have to leave blank. plz suggest
    2. Also is IPC configuration mandatory for extended classic scenario
Plz give your suggestion on above mentioned issue

    Hi Pawan,
No you should mention Purch Org & Purch Grp also wrt your backend (ECC).
IPC need not be configured separately from SRM 5.0 onwards. To ascertain if IPC is working fine just run the report : RSVMCRT_HEALTH_CHECK. You should see 4 success messages. Else get in touch with Basis to enable Virtual Machine Container (VMC)

  • Organizational  Responsibility in SRM 7.02

Can someone please tell me what the purpose of the Responsibility tab in the SRM 7.02 Organizational Structure? Should the Responsibility tab in SRM 7.02 be used to restrict the Purchasing Group of a Shopping Cart creator?

    HI Amy ,
Basically in SRM we cannot achieve the central purchase orgainzation like MM. But, you can follow a kind of workaround as below.
Say, You have two purchase orgainzations 1 and 2 under company A.
Similarly, Another company B has purchase organization 3.Now, you can make purchase orgainzation 3 responsible for purchase organization 1 and 2 as well.
    How to achieve that:
Create a purchasing group under Purchase Organization 3 and assign the org units for purchase orgainzation 1 and 2 as well in the responsibilities tab. In this way, the buyers of the purchasing group can do buying for Purchasing org 1 and 2 as well.
