Changing "Payment Reference" in AR Invoices

Hi All,
I'm very new to SAP B1. I want to overwrite(by using DI API) the "Payment reference" field in the invoice for a particular customer when closing the Payment. Please somebody give any idea.
Thank you.
Best Regards,
Buddhika

Hi Buddhika,
The description of this field Payment reference itself is clear enough. It is a reference field.  That means you can put a short text to remind you the unique property of this payment against others.  Like Vender/Customer Reference or other reference, the usage is for identifying this payment more easily
Thanks,

I am looking for a BAPI which will serve the purpose. I tried but could not find anyone.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
I think there is no BAPI for this, but can use FM ' FI_ITEMS_MASS_CHANGE '.
In this FM pass field 'ZLSCH' to table IT_FLDTAB, w_bseg-ZLSCH = 'N'
and pass your BSEG data to table IT_BUZTAB.  This will help
    Can refer to threat [Any BAPI for "FB02";

  • Change payment terms

    Hi,
How do i change payment terms for an invoice after few installments have been made.
ex.Lets say there is an invoice for Rs 500 and the number of installments to pay it is 2 250 for the first installment  and 250 for second installment. The first installment is made,Now the customer wants to change his installments to 3 for the remaining amount. Can this be donw in SBO.
    Thanks in Advance

    Dear Vikas,
Yes I beleieve this can be done.
Initially you set up the 2 Installments in the payment Terms Table and carry on with your Transactions like the Sales Order and the Delivery and create the A/R Down Payment invoice for say 50% and then make the payment for this 50% Amount WRT the A/R Down Payment Invoice. Now while you are creating the final A/R Invoice for the remaining amount in the accounting Tab go to the payment terms tab change the Installments to 3 and eneter the other relevant data. After this is done go to the Installmant tab and chane the Installments to 3.
    Hope this is helpful.

  • How to avoid Invoice Split due to billing date, reference number and payment reference?

    Hi,
In a scenario of delivery to invoice copying, we are facing issue of invoice split.
After analysing split, came to know that split happened because of different billing date, reference number and payment reference.
In VTFL we kept below fields blank at header level:
    Assignment Number
    Reference number
In VTFL we kept below setting at item level:
Copying requirements: 001 (this is a del related Pro-forma invoice)
    Data VBRK/VBRP: 001 (Inv.split (sample))
Also in VF04, at "default" tab maintained billing date, but still system is splitting invoice.
    Split analysis showing below results
    Different billing date
    Different reference number and
    Different payment reference
Pls let me know how to avoind this split. Do we have to copy routine and do changes into it to avoid split.
    Regards/Pravin

    Hello,
Also in VF04, at "default" tab maintained billing date, but still system is splitting invoice.
    Split analysis showing below results
    Different billing date
    Different reference number and
    Different payment reference
this doesn't seem to me standard behaviour (as it regards the billing date). Try the same with VF01: enter manually the billing date, the documents to invoice and press "Billing document overview";  if it keep on splitting according to the billing date, I guess that there's a user-exit during the creation of the invoice, which determines the invoicing date.
    Check the following exit:
    RV60AFZA
    RV60AFZC
    RV60AFZZ

  • DRQ payment on account with reference to an invoice

    Hello,
In SBO2005A  there was a problem with the open balance BP concerning the next situation
create an in- or outgoing payment by
    1. select the customer/vendor
    2. Select an invoice (example invoice 100 EUR)
    3. go to moneybag and enter an amount of 99 EUR
    4. Try to save the payment.
    5. system will give you a message the amount to be paid is not equals the invoice SAVE payment
    So far so good.
Now when you save the invoice also in SBO2007A you will save the invoice with reference to that payment and the mark: payment on account will be active. the only improvement from SBO2005A and SBO2007A is that at least the balance is correct ( this scenario is one of the fixes when upgrade to sbo2007A reconciliation errors).
In my opinion this is wrong behavior. One way or the other. A payment is with reference to an invoice and then it would be in this case a partial payment or the payment is on account and then there should be no reference to that invoice.
In my opinion the correct behavior must be after saving the payment:  error message: please create a partial payment or select payment on account because selected amount and payment amount are not equal.
    With regards,
    Eddy Rademakers

    Hello Kerstin,
I know this functionality and It could be usefull when the over under payment is just a small amount.
But in principal even with this functionality in my opinion a payment could be only
a payment with reference to one or more invoices or a payment on account and not both as it is now in the current SBO.
    The current behavior is wrong:
Based on the scenario as described above the payment should be: the mark: payment on account YES.
and no relation to the invoice(s).
    with regards,
    Eddy

  • Need to have ability to change payment currency in invoice form...

    Hi All,
I need to have the ability to change payment currency in invoice form.
For example my invoice currency is USD then I need to select HKD in payment currency option. But right now there is only USD available in payment currency.
Also I need to know how and from where the type, invoice and payment currency details are automatically fetched when opening the invoice form.
    Thanks,
    R. Bala

    Bala,
    From the User Manual:
Invoice Currency. The supplier invoice currency is used as a default for new supplier sites you enter. The supplier site invoice currency is used as a default for the Purchasing documents and Payables transactions you enter for a supplier.
Payment Currency. The default for Payment Currency in the Suppliers window is the value you enter for supplier Invoice Currency. You can change the Payment Currency value only if the Invoice Currency has associated fixed-rate currencies (for example, euro). If the Invoice Currency is a fixed-rate currency, you can change the Payment Currency value to an associated fixed-rate currency. The supplier Payment Currency is used as a default for all new supplier sites you enter.
The supplier site Payment Currency is the default for the Payment Currency field in the Invoices window. It is also the default currency for invoices you create for this supplier site by using Payment on Receipt, Open Interface Import, and Recurring Invoices.
    Hope this helps.

  • Change Payment terms invoices

    Hi
is it possible to change payment term in transaction VF01 or VF02 with standard SAP??

    Hi,
Maybe you can try this userexit
    USEREXIT_FILL_VBRK_VBRP (Module pool SAPLV60A, program RV60AFZC)
This user exit is only called when the billing document is created. It is used to provide the header and the item of the new billing document with deviating or additional data

  • Wrong Payment term in the Invoice

We have a problem with one of the vendor Invoice creation. We are getting wrong payment term in the Invoice.
We have payment term A in the vendor master both company code and Purchasing Org. We have the same payment term A in Purchase order and Contract.
But when we create invoice using MIRO for the PO we are getting Payment term B. This is happening for only one vendor.
We know that it can be corrected at the financial document level but want to know how this payment term B is pulled up from cause i checked all the options but nowhere to find from where it is coming.

    Hi Aparna,
    Check the following:
In MIRO, if you use PO reference to create the IV document, terms of payment will not get copied from vendor master, the terms of
payment will come from the PO.(if you have the invoice entered without reference to the PO, then the terms of payment are copied from vendor.)
So when you change the the invoice party in MIRO, new payment terms will not get copied from vendor master, they will come from the PO.
Please review SAP Note 322430 MIRO: Proposal logic for terms of payment Payment terms are only adopted from the vendor master record Without reference to purchase order
You enter an invoice without purchase order reference by adding a G/L account line or material line as a first item. If the terms
of payment key does not contain any value, this is copied from the accounting view of the vendor master record.
    Thanks
    Aravind

  • Change payment terms in credit memos

    Hi Experts,
We have a requirement where in we have to change the payment terms of a credit memo posted with reference to an invoice without making changes to the invoice.
    Please help..!!

Credit memos are usually treated due immediatly. But if you specify the original invoice number ( as a reference) in the invoice reference field under payment tab of the credit memo it will default the payment term from the invoice. If you want to use a different payment term you just have to enter 'V' in the invoice reference field.

  • Removal of payment reference no

    Hi,
At the time of entry of a customer receipt, we have entered the same against the invoice using the partial payment option. Thus the DZ document contains the reference of the RV document. This field is normally editable when you go into the change mode of the document.
Now we had to reverse the billing document due to some reason. Post reversal, the payment reference field in the customer receipt document is not editable. The customer ledger now shows that the part payment has been made against a billing document which has been reversed.
Request your help to rectify this problem.
    Regards,
    Sateesh

    Hi Gaurav,
Thanks for your reply. My understanding was that if the customer line item is open, then the payment reference field is editable, not otherwise. In this case, the invoice (RV) document has been reversed, but both the line items are still open. Hence, system should have allowed me to edit the payment reference field.
    Regards,
    Sateesh
