Changing system status depending on user status

Hello All,
What I need to do is, when the user sets the user status to, let's say, "Finished", I have to detect it and change the system status to "Concluded".
Does anybody have any idea about how could I manage this situation?

If you set the system status from within the transaction online, the solution by Richard is indeed correct. However, if you change a user stauts using an action, you have to perform two actions: set the user status (FM CRM_STATUS_CHANGE_EXTERN) and set the system status (FM CRM_STATUS_CHANGE_INTERN) as well.
In this case, you also must check if you have to set this status only on header level, or also on item level, but a good developer can help you out on this one.

Hi Chaitanya,
You should be able to hide those fields by creating a standard variant(If you want to hide those fields for everyone executing those transaction) for the same transaction.
Please have a look at transaction SHD0 to accomplish the same.

Hi,
As you mentioned there are 2 status can be maintained for documents like Equipment Master, Notification, Maintenance Order & other important business documents.
In case, client feels that system status is not enough to capture the details of the object, then user status can be used.
System statuses will be updated automatically based on business transactions which will be done on SAP.
For example, once the equipment is created, System status would CRTD (Created). If you install the same to some superior equipment or FL, then status would be INST (Installed).
If you keeping that equipment in Spare, then for that, you have to maintain separate User Status like AVLB (Available in Stock / Spare) so that through IH08, by using User status, you can the report which is available as spare.
These user status as per the name, should be updated by the user manually.

Screen "Define Status Profile for User Status" should not open in changemod

Dear all ,
After following the path CRM>SPRO>SAP IMG -->Customer Relationship Management -->Transactions -->Basic Settings --> Status Management -->Define Status Profile for User Status.
the screen opens in change mode & allows user to carry out the changes, this is very crucial screen & hnece should not be in open mode ,kindly advice on closing the same.so that it opens only in display mode for production system.

To Block changes to any Object their is a Provision for the same in Client Deatils Screen
Go to TCode:SCC4
Check the Tab Cross-Client Object Changes
Try setting the Option (3.No Changes To Cross-Client Customization Objs)
Following Options Symbolises:
Changes to the Repository and cross-client Customizing permitted
There are no restrictions on the maintenance of cross-client objects for the client when this setting is used. Both cross-client Customizing objects and objects of the SAP Repository can be maintained.
No change to cross-client Customizing objects
Cross-client Customizing objects cannot be maintained in the client with this setting.
No change to Repository objects
With this setting, objects of the SAP Repository cannot be maintained in the client.
No change to Repository and cross-client Customizing objects
Combination of both restrictions: Neither cross-client Customizing objects nor objects of the SAP Repository can be maintained in the client.

how do I change system settings so that users are not required to enter the mac's admin pw in order to join a wifi network?
Right now my macbook pro requires an admin password before connecting to a new wifi network. In other words when a user that is not an admin tries to connect to a new wifi network the pop up displays indicating that it is locked and an admin password is required.
Is there a way to remove this restriction so that a non admin can connect to wifi without the mac's admin password.

You can enable / disable this option in System Preferences:
System Preferences > Network > Wi-Fi > Advanced > Wi-Fi tab > Require administrator authorization to: Change networks

We need to customize Status Profile and User Status Specifc to customer requriments.
we need the following Status for Support Message:
Open
Accepted
Rejected
Fixed
Retest
Closed
Note:
1] Only the Message creator should be able Set staus Open and Closed
2] Message Processor should only set status Accepted, Rejected, Fixed and Retest
I have created the Status Profile in BS02.
Can some one help me the steps or guide how to implement the above logic and restrict the status access between Message Creator and Message Processor

I think this is possible using "Maintain Substitutions", but no sure. Try out once.
SRP0 - Project Systems -> Structures ->Operative structures -> Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) -> Maintain Substitutions.

Linking the system status to user status.

Dear all,
In the customising we have the provision of creating user profile. My requirement is if the system status is having a certain value like ESTO - in the equipment master then this should automatically set the defined user staus and prevent user from modifing the record (equipment master) and when the system staus is changed as AVLB, then the user status should also change and permit user to modify the record.
Experts help is expected.
Can anyone suggest any method of adopting the same - is there any settings for this.

I was able to get the statuses in a table , and as theer are more than one entry fo each of teh WBS so I need to concatenate the systme statuses together and user statuses togerher and finally concatenate the user status and system staus togehter in one field .
SO like fo system status I ahve 3 entreis , I need to concatenate them into one . But somehow when I loop and try concatenating them only the last entry is registeredd and similary for the user status too . Is there a= way I can concatenate so all teh three entries show in like a string
Right now the system status are AVEC, CTRD, SYST in my internal table as three values , how do i concatenate them into one string?

unassigned - workflow is not initiated,
pending - change is not submitted to analyst who reroute it to change board,
cancelled - change is cancelled,
submitted - subimitted to analyst for routing to change board,
hold,
released,
implemented - ECO complete
We change only Document through ECR.
We want to link system status to these above user status.
The user tracks ECR by means of user status and not system status.

1. Is it possible for the system to reverse the user status of WBS element if the actual business transaction is reversed. For example, User status 'ABC' is set as Initial status and in OK02 config, it was set that, when the system status is 'ACPT'( will appear when we create an SO and saved), the user status will be changed to XYZ. But subsequently when the WBS element in the Sales order is removed (by changin SO because of wrong postin), is it possible to the initial active status.
Here my ok02 config is like this
stuatus 10 ABC 10 30   1 1
             20 BCD 10 20 1   1
             30 XYZ 30 40 1 1
Here my requirement is once the system sets the status XYZ, the user should not change to BCD. But my above mentioned requirement of reversal will arise when the user wrongly enters the WBS element in the SO.
Any advice is highly appreciated. Could not find proper solution after enough search.

Hi,
In this case you can create the one more user status as 40 EFG 10 40 1 1and restrict this status by authorisation key.
provide this status authorization to responsible person not for all the users. If SO deletes the responsible person changes the status from XYZ to EFG and then to ABC, from here you can follow regular process.Finally the WBSE status remains
as XYZ.

Change User Status in the sales Order

Hello Experts,
I hope that somebody can help me.
I search to change the field User Status in the sales Order in the transaction VA02 before that the order be displayed.
I have searched in the UE MV45AFZZ, but i didn't found any form that i can use for my issue.
I found one form 'USEREXIT_FIELD_MODIFICATION ' by what the program pass when i press enter in the transaction VA02. but the problem that the status is changed in the data base only and not in the screen. In the screen i have always the same status as what was before, to have the new statut i must leave the transaction and execute it another time.
I don't want use forms for saving. What I want is the new status will be set when i press enter in the transaction VA02.
If doesn't exit one form that can resolve my problem, Can i use the Profile Parameters? In this case How use them?

U can choose ur status in change status profile. Go to IMG-CRMTransactionsBasic SettingsStatus ManagementChange Status Profile for User Status.
Here u hv to define ur new status for the transacxtion and assign it to ur transactio. If u r not clear tell.

LSMW for changing user status on work order(IW32)

Hi All,
I have created a LSMW for changing user status on work order using transaction IW32. It does not change the status when i run the LSMW. In the recording for the LSMW, i select the radio button on the user status i want to select.
When i run the LSMW in the foreground, it does everything except select the correct status.
Is there a way to fix this or is it a problem with LSMW. I'm using ECC6

I am not sure whether it would work with LSMW but if your on ECC 6.00 ,Enhacement Pack 3 then you have BADIs which allow you to make collective status changes in IW38 .The below are those BADIs :-
BADI_EAM_RIAUFK20_FCODE_CUS1 :Implement Customer Function Code in Order List
BADI_EAM_RIAUFK20_FCODE_SAP1 :Implement SAP Function Code in Order List
Else if your on lower version then write up a batch programme which checks the PM Order types with specific status and sets user status using FM STATUS_CHANGE_EXTERN[This is used to set or delete User Status] in SE37 ..

E.g In system status some business activity are not allowed but at the same time for user status those activites are active, then which status has high priority.

As per my understanding both the status work together. If User status forbids a business transaction and system status allows it, then also the business transaction cannot be carried out.
Also if system status forbids a business txn and user status allows that, then also you wont be able to carry out the txn.
Both work with "AND" condition.

Added: you can try it by creating a User status profile. Allow Goods Movement to CRTD status. Now dont release the production order, only save it. Then try issuing goods (261), the system will block you.
Now, other way round, forbid GR without confirmation. Though System Status allows GR without CNF or PCNF status, but the user status will forbid the transaction.
