Channel Determination Failure

I have a RFC -> XI -> SOAP scenario. When I attempt to send a test message in RWB, I get a Channel Determination Failure message for the receiver (SOAP comm. channel). Looks like the Receiver channel has been started but is not used.
Both the sender and receiver Comm Channels are in active status. I have defined the Sender and Receiver services as Business Systems. Any help is appreciated.

  • Desktop channel wizard failure

    Hi,
I tried to create JSP channel using the Desktop Channel Wizard. But everytime i click on the "Finish" button, i can't successfully create the channel and it gives me the error message "Error: An error occurred while creating the channel. Consult the iwtAdmin debugging files for more information and seek technical assistance.". Same thing happens whenever i try to create JSP, URL Scrapper or Rich Site Summary channel. What would be the possible reason that cause this? After installing the portal successfully, i didn't change any setting and tried to create JSP channel using the wizard but it fails. Please help.

Its hard to say what could be the source of the problem without looking into the debug log files ..
Do the following the paste the log files
    Login into the admin console
click on Manage Platform Setting and then administrator.
Select Enable Message Debugging and click submit.
Now go to platform.conf in /etc/opt/SUNWips and change ips.debug=message and restart the server.
Now do a tail -f /var/opt/SUNWips/debug/iwtAdmin log file and try to create the channel ..
Paste the error logs that you get when you try to create the channel ..

  • Agent determination issue in a workflow

    Greetings everyone!
I'm configuring some business scenario with the help of a business workflow in SAP CRM 7.0 I'm using activity step and want to determine agents using standard SAP rule 10000162 ("Employees for responsible org. unit"). I've tested the rule outside of the workflow and it's working fine, but  in workflow it fails to determine an agent.
In a log I see following errors:
    Agent determination for step '0000000023' failed;
    Result of agent resolution does not agree with agents of task;
I've made some tests depending on what assignment task has:
    1. When it is a general task, work item was created for a workflow initiator even though rule failed to determine an agent.
    2. When it is a task with general forwarding with assigned position(s), which rule will never determine, work item was created for holder(s) of that position(s).
    3. When it is a task with general forwarding with no assignments, workflow could not determine an agent as expected.
I've also debugged functional module for that rule and it determines appropriate agent but then do some check with the help of RH_TASK_AGENT_CHECK function and returns an error.
Can someone help me with this problem? Is it some standard expected behavior or not?
Maybe something wrong with the org. plan?
    All answers are appreciated.
    Thanks in advance,
    Alex.

    Hello Rick and Eddie.
I've tried to assign user directly instead of position to a task with no help. I get the same result.
I've tried to set a task as a general task and made the rule to fail if there is no resolution and it fails.
I've tried to assign position or user directly to activity in a workflow and it does work but that's not what I need in my scenario.
As I said earlier I've tried to debug that rule invoked from a workflow. I will post some screenshots for you.
I set a task as a general task and assigned rule 10000162 (ABBR="PARTNER_1", Name="Employees for responsible org. unit") to activity step in a workflow and here is what I get:
    1. Function CRM_ORGMAN_ORGOBJECTS_FIND_2 gets called by the rule and resp. sales org. unit is passed there ([screenshot1|http://www.picdrop.net/?v=debug1.png])
    2. Next function CRM_ORGUNIT_GETEMPLOYEES gets called passing id of a resp. sales org.unit without a type.
    3. Next RH_STRUC_GET gets called and returns result table with position and central person for that position ([screenshot2|http://www.picdrop.net/?v=debug2.png])
    4. In the end of CRM_ORGMAN_ORGOBJECTS_FIND_2 function only central person in inserted to the actor_tab ([screenshot3|http://www.picdrop.net/?v=debug3.png])
    5. After CRM_ORGMAN_ORGOBJECTS_FIND_2 ends we appear in a RH_GET_ACTORS function where we can see that agent check is performed if act_task is not initial. I assume that check is not performed if we do a simulation of a rule ([screenshot4|http://www.picdrop.net/?v=debug4.png])
    6. Then RH_TASK_AGENT_CHECK function gets called for every record in a actor_tab. In out particular case it's one record. ([screenshot5|http://www.picdrop.net/?v=debug5.png])
    7. Inside that function checks act_wi_id (activity work item id?) if it's initial and get exluded agents. It is initial in my case ([screenshot6|http://www.picdrop.net/?v=debug6.png])
    8. Then function tries to read table with keys equal to type and id of found agent and errors there, perhaps because there is no record in that table ([screenshot7|http://www.picdrop.net/?v=debug7.png])
That error results in overall agent determination failure.
Hope this screenshots will help to identify a problem.
Why read table results in an error and because of that all rule fails?
    Regards,
    Alex.

  • Active/Standby ASA 5520 + SSM-10=Failures

    Greetings,
We have two ASA5520s, both at 7.2(2) running in active/standby failover. Each of the ASA's have an AIP-SSM-10 in them running 6.0(3)E1. The configuration is in promiscuous mode assign to global policy, all traffic.
The primary will be running fine until it transitions to the secondary with a message: Module in slot slot experienced a data channel communication failure, data channel is DOWN. When I go to the SSM it will not let us in by ASDM, I can telnet and it will allow us to log in, shows the disclaimer info but never gives a cli prompt. The secondary will be running for a while, then it exhibits the same behavior and its SSM become unresponsive. The ASA transition again regardless if the SSM is back online or not. If it is it operates normally.
If it were 1 SSM I'd say it was the problem but both of them are doing it which leads me to consider configuration or is there something else I am missing somewhere.
We want to put these SSM-10's inline but not with there current instability.
Any suggestion at this point would be most helpfull.

I've got the exact same problem. I opened a TAC case and was told too much traffic was being redirected to the AIP module, overflowing a queue, causing the failure. We were using the modules for a couple of months before we began experiencing this issue. It got so bad I had to completely disable redirection to the module. We're not inspecting ESMTP traffic, but I'm going to try disabling protocol inspection entirely and apply the service-policy to see if it could be one of the other defaults that is the culprit. That makes more sense to me than volume because our traffic volume didn't changed considerably. Need approval so it may be awhile.

  • PORT-CHANNELS

    Hi ,
Can some help me on the below scenerios .
    SW1 : MAC ( AA)
    SW2 : MAC (BB)
    SW1 fa0/1  ---------------fa0/1 SW2
    1. When a STP BPDU comes out from SW1 its will have Source MAC of the egress interface ( in ethernet header ) and Port ID as fa0/1 inside BPDU
Now What happens in this case
    SW 1 ----------- 3 links ------ SW2
3 links are bundled to one PO ( lets say fa0/1-3 )
    1. How what will be the Source MAC and port ID in the BPDU that egress from SW1
    SW 1 ----------- 3 links ------ SW2
How is the Ether-channel determines which interface should be active in the bundle .
Whether SW1 or SW2 will have this rights .
How is the ether-channel mac picked from the N number of bundled interface.
If i have fa0/1-3 in one group .
Initially the fa0/1 was active and PO MAC was this fa0/1 MAC .
Now i have shut the fa0/1 , so fa0/2 was active and PO MAC changed .
Now brought back fa0/1 . But why wtill fa0/2 is active and PO uses fa0/2 MAC

In the etherchannel, the three ports are seen as one STP link.  All links in the ether-channel will be active.  That is the point of etherchanneling.

  • Email Notification to Approver - PCR Approval Process

    Hi,
We are in the process of implementing PCR Approval using MSS .
And as per requirement , we are supposed to send email notification to the Approver Outlook mail box - as and when the Appoval work item is delivered to the Approver's UWL.
By adding one more activity step in the Workflow template ,we have been able to achieve this.
And as per our current design ,
In case of Agent Determination failure (i.e when the approver is not determined correctly),
we route the Approval Work Item to the Workflow Administrator's UWL  - so that he can forward it to the appropriate "Approver"
The Workflow Admin can forward the Approval work item to the appropriate "Approver" from his UWL.
    The Problem is,
How can we send a email notification to the Approver  - who has been selected by the Workflow Admin - when forwarding the Work item.
Is it possible to read the Forwarded user in the Workflow template @ runtime ??
Does this require a change in the Webdyn Pro code in the UWL part??
Any suggestion regarding this is welcome.

    Hi Rajasekar,
Actually, when the workitem is manually forwarded to the correct agent, the mail should also be sent to the correct agent explicitly. Usually this happens quiet rarely.
You can see the new Agent(Forwarded Agent) in the Workflow Log. I think you can even get the forwarded agent in SWWWIHEAD table. Check this out.
You dont have to change any coding in WD Side.

  • Work flow program

    Hello ,
    I am new to workflow.
I have taken a simple task and in ABAP program.
I have called function module 'SWE_EVENT_CREATE' , with some data.
I have received an email in SAP INBOX and when I clicked on the email it was saying ' Object does not exist' ,
    Could you please help me.

Actually that method will only work if you've actually changed / used the Organisational Data (either HR related or just simple Organisational DATA (job, position, user, org).
From the initial Post I suspect that OP's first Workflow won't use ANY of this stuff for a while yet - especially as it states in the post "New to Workflow"".
The Agent determination failure is much more likely to be because the task is not defined a General Task executable by all users.
The other thing to look for is that the authorisations are OK -- on  a Sandbox type system this is usually not a problem. Once you get into the realm of HR and structural authorisations then all bets are off (I dont have much deep level experience with the "Human Remains" aka HR module I'm afraid).
Incidentally if coding your own programmatical Workflows / events etc etc you will probably find the newer SAP_WAPI_*** function modules easier to use.
These will be supported by SAP. Remember that BOR workflow will gradually be phased out in favour of OO (although that will take some time still to complete).
    Cheers
    Jimbo

  • Opening PDF at nameddest works for top half of page

How do I get a PDF to open at the bottom half of a page using named destinations without the PDF opening at the next page?
    Steps I've taken:
    1.  Created bookmarks, which work correctly for each item on a page
    2.  Created named destinations for each bookmark (that is, I clicked on the bookmark to take me to the text, and then I created a nameddest)
    Results:
All bookmarks work correctly and go to the text I want.
Only the named destinations that go to the top half of the page work correctly.  If the named destination is set up to go to text in the bottom half of the page, it doesn't go to the text I want.  Instead if goes to the top of the following page.  Is there a way to fix this problem?

Called 800-APL-CARE. Determined failure was due to getting caught in the rain yesterday (shorts got pretty damp, but I didnt think damp enough to cause a failure like this). Apple tech reminded me that 1st gen iPhone was quite susceptible to moisture intrusion (speaker holes and headphone jack most notably, as we all know). Unfortunately, moisture damage is not covered under warranty, so I am screwed.
Was planning on upgrading to 3G iPhone anyway, but the lack of stocking at my local AT&T stores leaves me in a tough spot right now, with an important business trip planned this week. Perhaps I should get a disposable phone and pull the SIM from my iPhone and use it until I can get my hands on a 3G iPhone?

  • Day Long Continuous DAQ Occasionally Getting a 200279 Error

So I'm pretty new to LabVIEW but I am attempting to create a continuous data aquistion VI that will record data average it to display and record a data point once every second.
The problem is that no matter what I change I cannot avoid getting a
Error -200279 occurred at DAQmx Read (Analog 1D Wfm NChan NSamp).vi
    Possible reason(s):
Measurements: Attempted to read samples that are no longer available. The requested sample was previously available, but has since been overwritten.
Odd thing is that on some occasions, the VI can run for over a day and not return any error and sometimes the VI will only run for 8 hours and then stop due to the 200279 error. This is incredibly frustraiting. I'll attach my code; if anyone would want to look at it I'd be forever in your debt.
    Attachments:
    BatteryTest.vi ‏100 KB

    Just some thoughts.
    1.  You do not need the seperate VI to configure the output buffer.  When you setup the timing, the Samples per Channel determines the buffer size when using Continuous Acquisition.  Set the Samples per Channel to the 30000.  Maybe the extra VI's effort is ignored for some reason and the buffer is really only 1000 samples (1 second's worth)?
    2.  No need to use the property node to see how many samples are available.  Set the number of samples to read to -1 and it will read all of the available points.  Per the DAQmx Read VI help "If the task acquires samples continuously and you set this input to -1, this VI reads all the samples currently available in the buffer."
    3.  If you want to grab data once every second, simply hard code the 1000 into the wait.
    4.  Think about offloading the file write to another loop using a queue.  Look into the Producer-Consumer architecture for more details.  If the file write is taking a very long time, this could cause issues.  But 1 second is a long time, so this is likely not your problem.

EOFWill the above script take the 8-way parrallel backup? or do I need to configure location for every channel separately?
    regards

This channel can be allocated manually or can be pre-configured by using
    automatic channel allocation.
The number of allocated channels determines the maximum degree of
parallelism that is used during backup restore or recovery. For example if
you allocate 8 channels for a backup operation 8 background processes for the
    operation can run concurrently.
Parallelism of backup sets allocates multiple channels and assigns
files to specific channels. You can configure parallel backups by setting a
PARALLELISM option of the CONFIGURE command to a value greater than 1 or by
    manually allocating multiple channels.

  • Return code 139

Hi i am executingthe below script in unix:

i am getting the return code as 139.
    What does it mean?
How to make the query to be successful?
    Thanks

    My wild guess would be:
    ORA-00907: missing right parenthesis
Whose idea was it to return sql.sqlcode though? The return code of Unix commands is an 8 bit number and can only go up to 255 (i.e. binary 11111111), which is fine for distinguishing between 0 (success) and 1 (failure) etc, after which it wraps around to 0 again. This means your 139 is mod(actual_error_code,256), and my guess is 907:

  • Snmpwalk crashes ASA-SSC-AIP-5!?!?

Setting up some snmp monitoring and as I am poking around to figure out what exactly I'd like to get, I run the following commands from my Debian based monitoring host:
    snmpwalk -v 2c -c Community_String AIP_IPADDRESS
    snmpwalk -v 1 -c Community_String AIP_IPADDRESS
While running either of these commands it begins to spit out OID information and then each time it ends with these two lines:
    IF-MIB::ifSpecific.5 = OID: SNMPv2-SMI::zeroDotZero
    Timeout: No Response from AIP_IPADDRESS
And at that moment, the magic happens; the module no longer responds, pings time-out, and the ASA5505 needs to be physically power cycled for everything to come back up normally.
    ASA syslog reports:
    May  9 10:34:15 ASA_IP May 09 2011 10:34:15 HOSTNAME : %ASA-1-505005: Module in slot 1 is initializing control communication.  Please wait...

(as you can see, these pairs are 10 seconds apart until the ASA is rebooted)
Is this expected behavior or otherwise already documented?
Let me add that this is not happening for the ASA or any other snmp devices.
As one could imagine -- this is driving me nuts.

Is this what you are looking for?  I hadn't power cycled the ASA since yesterday, so if that is going to make a difference I can re-post this or open a TAC case.
