Channel Entitlement

Hi guys,
Is there any way on the website of telling exaxtly which channels I am entitled to on BT Vision?
The short and tall of it is I ordered BT Vision Essentials to go alongside my BT Infinity package, I could get all of the 'Essential' channels but not the sport channels, these were finally enabled after a 2 hour + phone call to support.
Now I thought I had added the HD channels to my order, but maybe I didn't or didn't click something I should have, but I can't see anyway of telling until my next bill comes in.
If I try and add BT Sport HD to my account I just get this message :-
Sorry…
There's been a technical error – but you can still order online.
Ref# CON-0048
So I just want to know if I am entitled to the channels or not, if I am I need them enabled and if I'm not I'd like to know how to add them.
I have previously emailed 'support' this information and they sent me back a list of which channel numbers the HD channels are, I am seriously unimpressed!

Sorry if that was a bit misleading. I suspect that the Guide > Yellow > Subscription is actually listing all the subscription channels available rather than those that you subscribe to. If that is the case then you should see Sky Sports 1&2 in that list as well?
Anyway, the Entitlement Information is the important bit as that dictates which channels you are actually allowed to view.
041 - 042  'Sky Sports 1' and 'Sky Sports 2'
507 - 509  'BT Sport SD'  (not sure if 'ESPN' is still relevant ?)
510 - 512  'BT Sport HD'
851 - 854  'PSB HD'
855 - 978  'Essential Extra' or 'Unlimited Extra'
So yes, you are missing 'BT Sport HD'. If BT agree that you ordered the BT Sport pack before Aug 1st then they should add the 'BT Sport HD' entitlement for free for 12 months. Unfortunately BT seem to have messed this up for a lot of customers and they have had to chase it up over the phone. I think it's easy for them to change it on the system if you can talk to the right dept and they agree it's just a mistake (easier said than done I know). If you know the date you ordered BT Sport and have an associated order reference number then I would think that should help to get it resolved. Annoying but once it's done you can hopefully forget about it for 12 months.
My 'BT Sport HD' entitlement was missing for two and a half months and then miraculously appeared on July 31st just when I was resigned to having to phone them about it again!

    I have purchased the "Sky Sports TV" app but since my satellite subscription have been cancelled I cant view the channels anymore. I am unsure why I am paying a monthly fee of £4.99 if this does not entitle me to watch Sky Sports, as there is no other functionality in the app other than watching tv channels ( which I cant do currently)
    I will be looking for a full refund for all current and past monthly subscriptions.

  • How do I use my own Custom Auth/Authentication/Entitlement (Token)?

    [ Background ]
    Adobe Access DRM provides for 3 authentication mechanisms:
    Anonymous - Licenses are issued irregardless on if there is/isn't a valid authentication token attached to the license request.
    UsernamePassword - Licenses are ONLY issued if the license request has a valid Adobe-Access-Server-Issued authentication token.
    Custom - Licenses are ONLY issued if there is a valid cusom authentication token attached to the license request.
    Typically, customers already have some authentication scheme in place and choose to re-use that system, instead of leveraging Adobe Access' built-in usernamePassword support.  For this to succeed, accomodations must be made during packaging time, on the client device, and at the Adobe Access license server endpoint.
    [ More Background ]
    Here's a forum thread that prompted this thread: http://forums.adobe.com/message/5085330#5085330
    [ Recipe ]
    1. Adobe Access DRM Policy is created that specifies a "custom" authentication token.  As of Adobe Access 4.0, the tools that ship with the Java SDK cannot create a DRM policy with "custom" authentication out the box; a small Java application will have to be written to do this, which is covered in the thread posted above.
    2. Content is packaged using this custom_auth policy.
    3. Client device performs authentication via whatever channel already exists for you to perform authentication (e.g. SAML tokens, etc...)
    4. Client device sets the authentication token: DRMManager.setAuthenticationToken()
    5. Client device attempts to acquire a license for the content created in step #2: DRMManager.loadVoucher();
    5a) Because step #4 set the authentication, all license requests going forward will automatically have this custom auth token appended to it
    6. License server receives request & extracts custom auth token to parse & perform additional entitlement checks
    7. Licnese server generates a license to return to client device.
    [ Server Code Snippet (RefImplLicenseReqHandler.java) ]
    try {
      ServletInputStream in = request.getInputStream();
      ServletOutputStream out = response.getOutputStream();
      HandlerConfiguration context = super.getHandlerContext();
      ServerCredential licenseServerCred = getLicenseParams().getLicenseServerCred();
      licenseHandler = new LicenseHandler(context, in, out, licenseServerCred);
      licenseHandler.parseRequest();
      List<? extends LicenseRequestMessage> requests = licenseHandler.getRequests();
      // Multiple request in one message is not supported in FAXS 2.0 or 3.0 client.
      for (LicenseRequestMessage licenseReq : requests) {
         try {
      // TODO: If custom authentication is specified in the DRM policy, here is where
      // you can retrieve the custom authentication token and perform custom parsing to
      // determine further business rules and entitlement before issuing a license.
      // The "Custom Authentication" will look like:
      // 1. Client device obtains auth token using some other channel
      // 2. Client device sets auth token by calling DRMManager.setAuthenticationToken()
      // 3. Client makes a license request by calling DRMManager.loadVoucher()
      // 4. Adobe Access Server receives request and:
      // 4a) Determines Custom Auth is required by DRM Policy: licenseReq.getContentInfo().getContentMetadata().getPolicies()[0].getLicenseServerInfo(). getAuthenticationType();
      // 4b) Retrieves Custom Auth token for custom parsing/handling: licenseReq.getRawAuthenticationToken()
      // 5. If there are no errors when parsing the custom token, Adobe Access Server generates a license.
                                                      V2ContentMetaData metadata = licenseReq.getContentInfo().getContentMetadata();
                                                      ApplicationProperties applicationProperties = null;
                                                      String usageModelString = null;
                                                      if (metadata != null) {
                                                                applicationProperties = metadata.getCustomProperties();
                                                                if (applicationProperties != null) {
                                                                          usageModelString = applicationProperties.getSingleValueAsUTF8String(DEMOMODE);

  • BT Vision Box unable to show Freeview HD channels ...

    I have been sent a BT vision box due to the fact my Youview Box is unable to have the skysports channels I was told this was a newer box I was told on the phone and my youview box was outdated when I suscribed to the Skyports channels just last week. I plug in my BT vision box everything is fine except I am unable to watch Freeview HD channels.
    The Problem is my BT Vision Box shows the Sport Channels except the freeview HD Channels, I get them on normal.
    My Youview box shows the Freeview HD Channels and everything else expect the Sky sports channels.
    I have spent 2 hours on the phone last week with the technical support team and probably even more as I called twice they even put me through to the sales team because I said I wasnt suscribed to freeview channels (because thats what it says on the TV) and everyone was telling me I was suscribed and I was unable to view the Freeview HD channels. I even took a day off work which I will not get back to get a freeview engineer guy to come to my house which the BT technical team sent and tell me theres nothing he can do and he checked my signal and said it was perfect and told me the Youview box was newer and the BT vision box was older even though I was told vice versa by a BT sales rep when I bought the Skysports channels.
    So can someone help me so I can view all my channels I have and not have to swap between boxes and I do not want to speak people on the other side of the world to sort my problem out.
    I have done the search channel and reset the box which has not worked.

    Utter nonsense! The black BT Vision+ box came out at least 3.5 years ago. The BT Youview box came out just over 1 year ago.
    The reason you can't have Sky Sports over Infinity on the BT Youview box is because Sky haven't agreed to let BT resell Sky Sports on that platform. It's not due to any technical limitation. BT have asked Ofcom to look into this.
    The reason you can't pick up the Freeview HD channels over the aerial using the BT Vision+ box is because it is a much older box and doesn't have Freeview HD (DVB-T2) tuners. You need to pick them up over Infinity by getting the 'PSB HD' multicast entitlement added to your account.
    The person on the phone was talking rubbish. The engineer was talking sense. His trip to your house sounds like a total waste of both your time and his time. At least BT paid for it I assume.

  • Lost HD & Sport channels on black BT Vision box

    Hi, I was advised to do a factory re-set on my black BT Vision box because it was performing so poorly but since doing so I can no longer get my HD or sport channels (BT Sport 1 & 2, Sky Sports 1,2 & 5) back.
    Prior to doing the reset I only had the HD & sport channels as I had such a poor aerial in the roof. Doing the factory re-set meant I had to have a functioning aerial to re-scan for all the channels so I fixed the aerial & whilst it means I can now get all the freeview channels I can't now get any of the HD or sport channels back that I pay for!
    BT initially thought it was an issue at the exhange but having gone through several re-sets, re-scans, re-registers & re-boots they've finally agreed to get an engineer out.
    In another two weeks time!
    Anyone got any suggestions as to what might be causing this & therefore how I might be able to fix without waiting for the engineer visit?
    thanks

    Either the entitlements are missing or you are on the wrong version of the software. This can sometimes happen initially after a reset.
    What does it say for Help & Settings > Settings > System Information > BT TV Release ?
    If it ends in C (such as 8.7.1C) then you are on the version for using a viewing card.
    If it ends in E (such as 8.7.1E) then you are on the version for multicast channels over broadband which is what you need.
    If on the C version then try the following.
    Help & Settings > Settings > System Information > Reset Registration
    Help & Settings > Settings > System Information > Check for Upgrade
    In my experience that usually encourages it to download and install the correct E version again.

  • Ampersand in portal tools entitlements causing exception

    There appears to be a bug in the portal tools that ship with 4.0. If you have
    a portal page with an ampersand in the name, EBCC creates the XML that is loaded
    to the database correctly (with the &). But when you try to create an entitlement
    for this page, it will put an entry in the ENTITLEMENTS_RULESET portal page record
    that has the ampersand standing by itself. Thereafter, anytime you try to go
    to the entitlements page, you get an XML parse exception.
    Add to that the fact that this data is stored in a CLOB (making it difficult to
    edit), it is a tough situation to deal with.
    Please let me know if there is a patch/fix for this.
    Thanks.

    Paul,
    I searched the bugs database and there is a known issue (CR082251) if you
    used an ampersand character in the Portal Description. I could not find anything
    related to entitlements but I believe this is a bug.
    Unfortunately, I don't have a good suggestion for this problem. The best thing
    to do I believe (if you don't mind) is to open a case with BEA support.
    It is the preferred channel for managing this kind of issue.
    Thanks for your feedback,
    Michel.

  • Where is the three channel audio display in iMovie 08

    Aloha:
    I am transitioning from last year's iMovie to iMovie 08 via a PDF entitled "iMovie 08 getting started".
    There was one very helpful display in the old versions that allowed me look at 3 audio channels plus the video. I was able to edit sound and where it was placed in the relative the video (except for the audio channel that lived with the video).
    I can not for the life of me find such a display in the new version. Can anyone point me to such a display in the new version? I sure hope so, as it was a neat feature.

  • Music Choice channels not working

    I seem to be having trouble tuning in to some of the music choice channels, but not all of them. I called yesterday but they didn't seem to know anything. Is anyone else having this issue? I get a message saying Free with Subscription or One Moment Please.

    Good luck with that.  Maybe one of the regulars here will refresh your entitlements and solve the issue.   I've been without for over three months now, with no end in sight.

  • Multi Channel Delivery

    Hi All Experts,
    We are trying to evaluvate Oracle Documaker 12.0 and were sucessfull in most of the part.
    One question remains unsolved.
    Does Oracle Documaker (12.0) support multi channel delivery? One of the customers require output to be in the format of PDF, Print, Email ( until this it seems ok), SMS, Voice ( which we are not sure of).
    Can any one give some guidance of getting the output format set to SMS or Voice?
    Also, how to acheive Multi Channel output based on a value in the input extract file? ( Using multiple FSIUSER.INI??)
    Thanks
    Arumugam

    Hi Arumugam,
    I am assuming you are actually inquiring about Oracle Documaker Enterprise v12.0.1.
    If so, there is a Reference Implementation Master Resource Library (RI-MRL) that comes out of the installer and is referenced in the Documaker Enterprise Installation Guide, with examples for the different Distribution types and settings including example XML inputs that trigger batches for SMS and others.
    Input controlled output distribution is done via the batching configuration in the Administrator and data mapped to the database tables in the schema. Recipients are selected based on the batch configuration, via the Selection Criteria Rule, which allows you to use any metadata from the input that is mapped to be distributed to one or more batches. The Batch configuration defines the output and distribution options, see "Including Recipients in a Batch" section of the Administrators Guide documentation.
    If you review the Documaker Enterprise Administration Guide for SMS references you will find a section entitled Setting the Distribution Options. There is out-of-the-box SMS support through SMTP-SMS bridge (see UseEmailForSMS in the Administrator Guide) where you provide the email address in the input stream for the SMS message delivery. If you want full fledged SMS and Voice message support directly via phone numbers through the various wireless carriers I recommend you review offerings such as Oracle User Messaging Serivice (UMS) (e.g. http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E14571_01/integration.1111/e10224/ns_intro.htm) . Documaker Enterprise has a built in integration with UMS services (see UseSMSService in the Administrator Guide) but also has integration points to allow for other integration so if there is a messaging service that your customer(s) prefer or own the Output Publisher component offers extensibility to map user classes to mime types (user defined or standard) to push out data to the desired endpoint.

  • Channel.Connect.Failed (http 501) error when trying to connect to a remote php gateway

    hey all
    this is my first app to access remote data, and i am trying to build both clieant and server side
    i am working on a flashbuilder 4.6 and php simple system.
    I use the php data wizard to build my php code/services and develop locally on a wamp server, configuring the local mysql db with phpmyadmin. the wizard itself enables the zend framework needed
    locally, all looks fine
    i am trying out deployment to my real, linux based remote server, and for the first step I uploaded my php services to the remote server
    i used this guide by Mihai Corlan and when testing my app i get an Alert with
    Send failed
    Channel.Connect.Failed error NetConnection.Call.Failed: HTTP: Status 501: url: 'http://(my domain + file structure to..)gateway.php'
    so i guess even before i get to see if i changed the amf_config.ini and gateway.php itself and the services properly for deployment i am unable to connect to the gateway, correct?
    http 501 is something about html headers? i dont know any html, any php, any sql just as3 and mxml
    can anyone help?

    I do get "Zend Amf Endpoint" - as well - the app works perfectly when testing on my desktop as iphone4 simulation and on android, just not on my 4s device.
    as a side note, i can even browse to the gateway.php that I have set up via safari on the device. That makes me think that theres just some dumb http entitlement or "allow" setting for ios that I'm not finding.

  • How SCXI modules are multiplexed into one Channel of the DAQ card?

    Hi all,

    I am a new to NI hardware.

    Here i want the detailed explanation of theory of multiplexion on how all the scxi channels go to 0th channel of DAQ card

  • Why Does Verizon Treat FiOS SD Subscribers As 2nd Class Citizens In Terms of Channel Offerings?

    Verizon is understandably focusing its channel lineup additions toward HD channels. My gripe is that the few new SD channels being offered are being added under the Extreme HD package. In October, Verizon added non-premium, non-sports SD channels Current TV and RFD TV to the Extreme HD package. Now they are adding new SD channels like Blue Highways TV and Chiller to the Extreme HD package. As a SD subscriber, why am I being locked-out from receiving these non-premium, non-sports SD channels? In order to receive these SD channels on my standard definition televisions, I would have to pay an additional $10 a month for the Extreme HD package, plus upgrade to HD set-top boxes for an additional $5 per month for each, but not reap any of the benefits or enhancements of the HD experience. Am I the only SD subscriber who feels cheated? Shouldn't a programming tier entitled Extreme HD consist only of HD channels? Or should SD subcribers just be content with their same conventional channel lineup because we're not worthy of anything new?

    I am not trying to sound mean or anything, but that's like saying "why doesn't Microsoft still update windows 3.0?". That Is the course of technology Everything gets improved, Adding the SD channels to the HD package will help people move on from old SD technology. Some people wont like it, The same people that still think the picture on a VCR is just as good as a dvd, or blu-ray. Hell even the FCC is forcing everyone to move to all digital broadcasting. I am just surprised on how many people are still effected by the loss of analog. Again this is not a stab at you just an opinion.

  • Audio Problems with some HD channels (HBO mostly)

    I'm experiencing sporadic audio problems with a handful of HD channels.  Most noticably on HBO.
    When the audio is output through the television itself, it sounds OK... however if the audio is output through my home theater receiver and speakers, I can hear a lot of static and "crackling" on certain movies and shows.
    The issue isn't the home theater setup, as I have several other components that use it (AppleTV, Bluray, Xbox, etc.) and the audio sounds perfect from them.
    The only device that displays that poor audio is the FiOS Set Top Box and even then it's only on a few channels.
    I thought maybe that the optical audio cable between the set top box and the receiver may have been bad, so I replaced that.  Same problem even with the new cable.
    The problem is either with the Set Top Box itself or the audio levels on the stream from the channel provider.
    Has anyone experienced anything similar to this, and if so... did you resolve it somehow?
    Any help you could provide would be most appreciated.
    Thanks!

    Check the following.
    Help & Settings > Settings > Entitlement Information
    Here are possible entitlements mapped to channels.
    101 - 104 :  PSB HD
    407 - 433 :  Essential Extra / Unlimited Extra
    446 - 453 :  HD Extra
    501       :  Sky Sports 1
    502       :  Sky Sports 2
    507 - 509 :  BT Sport SD
    510 - 512 :  BT Sport HD
    513 - 514 :  Essential Extra / Unlimited Extra
    530 - 540 :  Sky Movies
    555 - 563 :  Kids Extra
    You need 'HD Extra' for channels 446 - 453. I have the free 'BT Sport HD' but that does not cover entertainment HD channels. You need to subscribe to the HD Extra bolt-on for £3 for them. Have you ordered HD Extra (it only became available from last Sunday)?

  • Acquiring a waveform from the input channel

    Hi, while I am trying to acquire teh waveform from the input channel,
    it is not showing up in Labview "waveform graph", but the same
    waveform is seen on the oscilloscope. I am using NI PCI 6052-E DAQ
    board.

    Greetings Amu,
    How have you configured the PCI-6025E? Is it configured for
    differential readings or single-ended readings?
    By default, the configuration of the device will be differential,
    which means that two input channels are used for every input signal.
    When configured in differential mode, you need to connect the positive
    terminal of the signal to channel X and the negative terminal of the
    signal to channel X+8. For reading a differential signal from channel
    0, you will connect the positive terminal of the signal to channel 0
    (pin 68) and the negative terminal of the signal to channel 8 (pin
    34).
    I would suggest to use the Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX)
    software to test the signal before going to LabVIEW. Open MAX and go
    to the devices and i
    nterfaces folder. The PCI-6052E should be located
    in this folder. Right-click on the PCI-6052E and select test panels
    and you will be able to test the input signal here. You can change
    the mode to continuous and set an sampling rate in the test panels as
    well.
    Once you can view the signal in the test panel of MAX then I would
    suggest to move to LabVIEW. Search for the shipping example entitled
    'Cont Acq&Chart (buffered) VI' which is a continuous analog input
    example. Select the device number, channel number, and scan rate and
    run the VI.
    For more information on connecting your signals to the PCI-6052E I
    would suggest to refer to chapter 4 of the user manual. I've linked
    it below for your reference.
    NI 6052E User Manual

    I hope this helps.
    Let me know if you have any additional questions regarding this issue.

  • Temporarily unable to tune a channel

    I just traded "up" to X1 from my normal Xfinity boxes.  After connecting one DVR box and 2 satellite boxes, only one of the satellite boxes gets my HD channels.  The other 2 boxes only get basic channels and no HD.  All fittings are tight.  The odd thing is the only TV that showed a weak signal was the one that gets all the channels.  The other two get good signals but won't tune all the channels.   I tried unplugging the unresponsive satellite box for 30 seconds and then trying again.  Now the remote won't work on that box.  Can I fix this?

    Call in to 877-896-8678 to have your entitlements and proper rate codes for the 2 boxes checked
