Characteristic doesn't exist in planning area when running hierarchy STS.

Could anybody help me regarding this problem please ???
In STS Customizing - IP, i'd like to determine Hierarchy for Subplan, but I always get this message: " Characteristic ZSTSHIER doesn't exist in planning area ZPA01".
Prior to determine Hierarchy, I've already defined Subplan, Planning Session. I also have already created Planning Area containing characteristic: ZSTSHIER (but I only create for planning area).
In the prompted window of determining hierarchy, after I define the planning area, I can see the respective Hierarchy Characteristic.
But when I execute it, It always says " Characteristic ZSTSHIER doesn't exist in planning area ZPA01" .
Could somebody help me please ??
Is it SAP Bugs / Do I miss one thing to do ?

Thanks so much for your respond.
The "execute it" means when i'm determining Hierarchy for Subplan.
It always says "Characteristic ZSTSHIER doesn't exist in planning area ZPA01".
However, I can see the hierarchy ZSTSHIER in Planning Area inside Master Data tab. I have already created the Hierarchy within ZSTSHIER using RSA1.
The weird thing that I'm able to define Hierarchy Basic Characteristic and Hierarchy Name within under respective Planning Area.
Would you kindly help me please ?
What's going wrong here ? Is that something missing yet to be done ?
Really need your guidances.

Multi-planning area when updating an infocube

Hi,
I work on a multi-planning area based on a transactionnal cube (C1) and a standard cube (C2). I have to add a characteristic in the standard cube.
Since this change, a planning level has problems : it is only used by calling a function module : API_SEMPS_GETDATA. This function returns no data whereas the cube contains data for the selection filters of the level.
It's all the more surprising as I have another multi-planning area based on another transactionnal cube (C3) and the same standard cube (C2), and for the level of this multi-planning area, the data are returned from the API_SEMBPS_GETDATA function.
The multi-planning area has not changed. I can't understand where the problem comes from.
Has anyone had already dealt with a problem like that?

Hi Agnes,
double check your selection criteria when you define the planning level or package. If you call API_SEMBPS_ADHOCPACKAGE_SET then selection needs to be passed in external representation which might be different in your case.

Why doesn't Elements Premier 11 Start when running on Windows 8?

Premier 11 does not start when running on Windows 8. I error message calls for an up-dated display driver. I checked the drivers in the device manager and all report that they are up to date. What is the next step to trouble shoot?

Load from cube to planning area

Hi,
We are facing a problem in loading data from Cube to planning area, we need to distinguish between the Zero and the blank values in planning area when loading data from cube to planning area.
Scenario is like this.
For a CVC u2013A on day D I am having key figure value as blank and on D1 is Zero and on D2 is 2, I want the same to appear as my planning area data If I load this data to cube my day D value will appear as Zero (but it was blank) and on D1 Zero and on D2 as 2 in cube.
I am using Std T-code /SAPAPAO/TSCUBE to load data from cube to planning area, in std T-code we are having option of ignore Zero, if I use this it will also stops the actual zero value(which I need) on day D+1 to come in to planning area which I donu2019t want.
I want my planning area data to be as blank on day D and Zero on D1 and 2 on D2 after loading data from cube to planning area..
Can any one put some light and help me out from this issue.

I am not sure to understand completely the issue: do you have an issue in the cube or in the planning area?
In order to differentiate a blank for a zero in the planning area, you need to set the flag "zero allowed" in the planning area settings. (in the tab keyfigure, click details, then for each key figure you can select or not the flag "zero allowed")
When you load the data, you should indeed not flag "ignore zero value"
If the issue you have is in your cube (between the file and the cube) then it is another matter...

Release DP- SNP Can't choose target Planning Area rather than 9ASNP02

Hi SAP Expert,
I tried to release from DP to SNP with TCode: SAPAPO/MC90 Rlease Demand Planning to Supply Network Planning.
When I press button: "Release: Extended" --> In "Target Version" area, system display one more parameter: "Planning Area". But it selects Planning Area "9ASNP02" as fix value. We could not choose any other.
Actually, because I need to work in my own created Planning Area in SNP, (let's call "Z_9ASNP02") so that created it by coppying from the Standard Planning Area "9ASNP02". Now I want to release DP to my own Planning Area "Z_9ASNP02", not 9ASNP02.
Please show me the solution for this problem.

When you release forecast from DP to SNP, planning area does not matter anyways. The release transaction creates orders in order livecache from the time series key figures in DP planning area. Order livecache is only version specific. Once you create an order in version 000, you can view that order in any planning area that is initialized in version 000.
So, you dont really have to specify the planning area when you release from DP to SNP. 'Release extended' helps you map a key figure in DP to a key figure in SNP without worrying about the order category. In other words, It only shields you from selecting order categories. If you know which order category you want use, you should use the standard release instead of 'Release Extended'.
Even if you dont want to use the standard release, you can continue using 'Release : Extended'. Even though the planning area is hard coded as 9ASNP02, you will be able to see data that you release in your planning area Z_9ASNP02, provided you have some key figure in Z_9ASNP02 mapped to order category.

Error message "Address doesn't exist "

Dear Experts,
In ME23n, when i give some purchase order and click on ADDRESS tab it is giving the error message as "'Address doesn't exist 51457447 4601225079"", And when i check the address in ADRC table for the same vendor via ADRNR number it is providing the address
And also it displays the address in the smartform preview.
But same is not populated in the ADDRESS tab.

I once had exactly the same problem and message. It turned out that the error message was misleading..
In my case, a (custom) function module was returning an exception WITHOUT specifying a message. Subsequently the calling program also returned an exception, and simply reported the last message sitting in the SYST structure.
I recommend you set a breakpoint on the MESSAGE statement when debugging.

Dump when running macro

Hello Folks,
I have a alert creation macro in my planning book, the moment I run the macro it gives a dump. In ST22 transaction I get the name of run time error as "SAPSQL_INVALID_FIELDNAME".
The same macro works fine in my dev system properly without any issue, the issue given here does not work only in the Quality system. Looks like the SAP system generates a internal program where this dump is caused.
The abap'er could not debug the issue much as this is a internally created program.Some more details of the error are given below.
Runtime Errors SAPSQL_INVALID_FIELDNAME
Exception CX_SY_DYNAMIC_OSQL_SEMANTICS
procedure "SELID_GET"
contained field name "SEL_ZCPRODUCT" does not exist
Any kind of pointers to resolve this will be appreciated.

When u run consistency check for one planning area 1, then the internal table reflects the structure of first Planning Area, if u try running macro belonging to PA2 then there is dump becasue the internal table has the structure of the PA1.
This was due to the Table: /SAPAPO/TSAREATE (which has the internal table names of the planning area) having the same table for two plannig areas.
While one Planning area inconsistency was run it corrected for the existing planning area, affecting the other to work.
To rectify this delete one of the planning area table entry form table /SAPAPO/TSAREATE (for the inconsistent planning area) & then run the consistency check. This will create a new table for the second planning area and there will be no conflict.
That will give a permanent soultion.

Adding T-code to Role Area Menu which doesn't exist in box

We are using a SAP system called QIM which has "jumplink" functionality, which is a web based linked (NWBC) which will launch you into a ERP system transaction when clicked. For example, in QIM we will display a outbound delivery, and if we click on the link it launches VL03N from the ERP system and displays as web UI.
In PFCG under area menu, this transaction code appears under the menu, but VL03N doesn't actually existing in the system... The issue is we created a custom object for inbound delivery and we need ot add it under this area, but when we attempt to add a transaction code under the Role Area, the system says the t-code doesn't exist... Even when we try this with an existing t-code showing in the menu (Vl03N) it says it doesnt exist. Same if we look at the authorization object S_TCODE. These t-codes exist in here, but when you try to readd them they system says it doesn't exist.
Please find the attachments with some screen shots... Any idea how we can do this?

You can create a role menu as remote enabled remote menu.
The authority checks will happen on the remote side, also against objects which don't exist in the calling system as the music is on the other side.
On the RFC client system side, you only need the parameter transaction to start the remote transaction in the remote system.
See the documentation on SYST function module ABAP4_CALL_TRANSACTION.
This is however a rather antiquated technology... it is more popular to use a SAP Portal or webdynpro applications for this sort of thing (the user does not notice the difference) or later versions of such integration such as Fiori UIs or imbedded links within the Business Client.
I don't want to lean out the window too far, but the buggy phase of these new things is approaching an end and they are usable if you are on newer releases. Then you can pool the menu and use APIs for navigation and no more irritating S_TCODE checks.

Your first statement explains the second statement. To use the German iTunes Store, you need to prove that you're a resident of Germany (that is required by the content owners who will not allow cross-border sales) and the only way Apple can provide such a verification is by requiring that you enter in either a German credit card or a German-purchased iTunes prepaid card. Since I presume the former is not a possibility, you'll need to do the latter if you wish to purchase content from the iTunes Store. Again, this is not Apple's choice but is forced on them by the content owners as a requirement for Apple being allowed to sell the content. The EU is working on regulations that would force the content owners to allow access pan-EU, but that's still in the works.
You do not need an iTunes Store account to activate and run your iPad, though; at least, I didn't need one for either of my two iPads. If you only want to set up an account so you can get free iPad apps, take a look here:

Read the steps carefully as the order in which you follow them is apparently critical. This seems to come and go, or only apply to App Stores in specific countries, so you may not see the option for "None" when asked for a payment type.

The only way it allows me to click "next" is if I choose the $100.00 plan. The email that was sent to me says that I should upgrade or reduce storage because my plan will be reduce to 5GB as of September 30, 2013. Please advise.

Try Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Change Storag Plan. If you are a former MobileMe user you should see Purchase Current Plan listed between the 20GB and 50GB options.

Table or view doesn't exist when deploying a mapping

OWB and BI in general is new for me. I have read the tutorials but I have a problem and I don't understand how to solve it :
I have 2 databases in 2 different services :
- dbsrc (where I have tabsrc with 2 columns)
- dbtarget (where I have tabtarget with 1 column)
OWB connect correctly to dbsrc
I have made a mapping between dbsrc and dbtarget and I have just joined the second column of dbsrc with the unique column of dbtarget.
All the steps before deploying are ok but when I deployed I have a warning saying that table or view doesn't exist.
I have used the debugger and it seems that owb searches dbsrc in the service dbtarget ... I have copied my table from dbsrc to dbtarget and in this case the deployement and the execution of the mapping runs correctly.
What I'm doing wrong ? Why OWB isn't able to see that my table source is in another database/services ?

Hi,
In design center, you need two oracle dbs: one as data source (with a location pointing to you src db) and one as dwh target (with a location pointing to your target db).
Your mapping has to be in the target db. In the mapping, you use the target table from the target db and the source table from the source db.
When you deploy the mapping using control center manager, owb will create a database link for you from the target to the source db. The mapping will read the data through that database link and write it into the target table.

Only songs that are physically stored on the iOS device can be deleted with a swipe. Songs that have been listened to, and are in the temporary cache, apparently can not be deleted with a swipe. The easiest way to get rid of these songs is to go to Settings > General > Usage, tap Music (you may need to scroll down in the list), swipe across "all music" then tap the delete button. This will delete ALL music on the device.
Also, iCloud and iTunes Match are not the same service.

Planning Areas - No initialized Planning Version(s) exists

Recently our SCM system was upgraded from SCM 4.0 system to SCM 5.0. After the upgrade I find in /sapapo/msdp_admin the planning areas in status red with message "No initialized Planning Version(s) exists". If I check the planning area it says "No errors found when checking the planning area".
Please help. How to initialize a planning version. I am new to SCM.

When I try to Create Time Series Objects for a Planning Area from /sapapo/msdp_admin
I get the error "Master planning object structure 9ADPBAS is inactive".
Then I tried to activate the planning object structure 9ADPBAS from /sapapo/msdp_admin but I get "Error occured during activation". I do not find any log also. The long text shows as below.

That doesn't help me. For itunes it brings me to the express lane which doesn't help because my case is not in it. It's all standard procedure things. I understand those but my situation is different. The combination of a passport forgotten and an non-existing email adress (and birth dates that are not correct or not accepted). What I need is my password emailed to another email adress than the original one because that no longer exists.
