  • No users are shown for Service Desk in SOLMAN for satellite systems

    Hello!
I would like to set up the business partners for Service Desk in SAP Solution Manager.
If I choose the solution and execute "Edit --> Create Business partner" for the SAP R/3 4.7 then I get the warning “no users are shown under the system”.
If I log onto the satellite system and make some changes in su01 or pfcg the situation does not change.
<b>How can this problem be solved?</b>
    Thank you very much!
    regards
    Thom

    Thank you very much!

  • Configuration in Solman and Satellite system for Support message creation ?

    Hi ,
I want to send a support message to solman from the ( help menu -> create support message )
    of my satellite system.
any one tell me the settings that i have to make in both the sattelite system and the solman  for sending a support message.

    Hi,
the necessary steps are described in Solution Manager IMG documentation.
Also you can find that information in the web blogs in this forum.
    In a nutshell:
    - activate Service Desk in Solution Manager (incl. BC-Sets)
    - maintain System Landscape, RFCs and iBase
    - create key users (business partners)
    - maintain number ranges
    - assign roles
    - maintain table BCOS_CUST in satellite system
You should just follow the corresponding customizing steps in tx: SPRO.

  • Synchronize priority between solman and satellite system

    Hi,
I've changed priority in solman to
    1- very high
    3 - high
    5 - medium
    9 - low
But priority in satellite system did not change.
    It was shown as
    1 - very high
    2-  high
    3 - medium
    4 - low
How can i synchronize the priority in satellite system?
The satellite system have to follow the numbering in SOLMAN
    Kindly assist.
    regards,
    Biah

    Hi Blah,
as per sap the standard priority are 1 ,2 .3 ,,4 and this wil be available in all the satellite systems as per standard installation.
So in solman you can maintain the same way just like satelite system using
    tran----
    Dno_cust01
..goto SLF1 priority and maintain the same ...i.e 1,2,3,4
    and
    Spro-
solman-> scenario specific-> service desk ->........maintain category and priority
Above step will Syn with SLFN priority with SLF1
So from now where you post ticket within solman or outside only the standard 1,2,3,4 will be thre

  • Create user both in the satellite system and in solman

    Hi
I wonder if I need to open all my user's that are in the satellite system (ECC) in the solution manager for the purpose of create support message or I can only create them as BP?
If I don't need to open them, What is the proper way to configure the RFC?
    Best regard's
    Lior Grinberg

    Hi,
in a normal service desk scenario you do not neet to create users in Sol Man. You just create business partners. If you want the users to logon to Sol Man and edit a document then they also need a real user there (linked via BP - employee):
For creating messages from satellite system you usually maintain RFC destinations from Sol Man (SMSY) to the connected systems. Then you use the generated *_BACK destination in your satellite system and add it to table BCOS_CUST.
All these steps and many more are described in IMG in Solution Manager.

  • CHARM:   Logon restriction to satellite system

    Hi
With CHARM functinality, users are allowed to logon satellite system via Solman only when logon action is approved.  This is great control, but how can we prevent users from loging directly to satellite system?
In short,  I would like to accomplish this
User > SAPGUI > Satellite (i.e ECC)    Not possible
User --> SAPGUI --> Solman --> Satellite   Possible when approved in Solman
I tested this with changing user type in SU01 (dialog, communication, system, service...), but none of them solved my problem.
Maybe,  I should post this question in BASIS forum, but though this was common problem in CHARM envirnment.   Thanks in advance.
    Regards

    Hi, Xavier
Thank you for your reply.   End users will continue to log on satellite system.  No change for them.
What I meant is that I want to control developers / testers' logon activities.
They can logon DEV / QA servers only when approved by Solman.
Problem is that their users need to exist in satellite system, and they can still directly log on to DEV / QA. This is why I want to accomplish such a functionality.   I wonder if any configuration solve this.

  • Charm_create tp in satellite system directly and then assign project

    Dear All,
    we have some exceptions here.
Incase of urgency users wants to carry out the changes in satellite system & will save the same under 1 new TP. while moving the tp they want to assign the charm project so that all the activities will get captured under project. is this possible ?

  • Create Support Message from satellite system

Hi, when I create a ticket using "Help - Create support Message" the parameter  SY-UNAME is not passed to Service Desk
in other word, the message is created but the field "Reported by" is not filled.
if I want to display the entire message in the form, before saving, I can see that this value is correct...
    SY-SYSID             DE1
    SY-MANDT             300
    SY-UNAME             SOLMAN
    SY-DATUM             20080410
    etc.
    Any suggestion ?

    Hi,
    1) Under identification tab in external BP no. put details as
    <Server short name>space<client>space<search term
(which you have maintained in address tab or employee no.
of that user in satellite system)>
    2) In ID type put CRM001
    3) Under identification put details as <Server short
    name>space<installation no.>space<client>space<search
term (which you have maintained in address tab or
employee no. of that user in satellite system)>
4)Go to trns. BP>select BP role as "Employee"> Indentification tab--> Maintain user name same as user id of employee in satellite system or serch term you maintained while creating BP.
Try this. Reward the points for useful answer.

  • Service Type User ids

    Dear SAP Security Gurus,
We use service user type for test user ids in our test (Q) system. Since service ids can have multiple logins, can you help us know that how many users can login with a service id at the same time?
    Thanks,
    Karthik.

Folks ... My response is structured as :first Licenicing and then Service user :
Karthik was mentioning ablout the Q system ..Are  users on the Q system charded as well ..yes a non commital answer is " it depends on the agreement "!! As I understand in my very very limited experience that the user count and licensing is done on the PRod system. here again I can be wrong..as very often I am!
    Now on service users !!
Dear Karthik ...as it was pointed out...why do you need service user in Q ?? how can you log the changes ?? the results will be cumbersome to evaluate
User A will use test case 1 /User 2 test case 3 /  now for example you have an auth issue  which  ID will the security admin trace  ? as User A & User B both use the same ID !!  -- hope it sclear ..please use Dialogs and help your security admin !!

  • Provisioning User IDs in Remedy Help Desk with Sun IdM 7.0.

    Hi,
Our team is in the process of defining a approach to provision user IDs in Remedy Help Desk system using Sun IdM version 7.0.
What we wanted to know is whether it is possible to use the Remedy resource adapter bundled with Sun IdM 7.0 to provision user IDs. We think that this resource adapter is used to provision help desk tickets into the help desk system and not user IDs. Is the understanding correct?
If user IDs cannot be provisioned using the resource adapter, we are planning the following approach to provision user IDs into Remedy:
    1. Understand the table schema of the Remedy database.
    2. Configure the Database Table resource adapter to provision into the Remedy user tables.
We are looking for inputs from people who have come across a similar design issues with Remedy Help Desk and could validate our design approach. We will highly appreciate any inputs on this.
    Thank You.

    Vallabh Vengulekar.

  • Creating Support Messages from Satellite System without SolMan user account

    Hi
We are having some problems with users "creating support message" from our ECC system  to SolMan, if the user does not have a user account in Solution Manager.
It is not correct, that users from Satellite systems can create support messages from these systems, without the user having an account in Solution Manager? And that the user is identified by the business partner for the user, that must exist in the Solution Manager system ?
We have set up the RFC for the supportmessages between SolMan and the ECC system as trusted RFC, with the "Current user" as the user, but how should this be set up, if the user does not have an account in the Solution Manager system. If we enter a user with the right authorizations in the RFC, will the messages that come through not just appear as created by that user, instead of the ECC user and corresponding business partner ?
    Regards
    Lars

    Hi,
you can use the use the user for the RFC-Connection in that case. I have customizied a similar scenario. In my scenario the System from which the message was created, is the business partner (SOLD-TO-PARTY). For that you have to create a communication user (i.e SOLMAN<SYSID>). In TA SM59 in the satellite-system you assign this user for the connection. (Don't forget to assign the user to the role "SAP_SV_FDB_NOTIF_BC_ADMIN"). Now, it schould be possible to create messages from the satellite system to the solution manager. Additionally you should create business-partner for each user of the satellite system, by using TA DSWP>EDIT>CREATE BUSINESS PARTNER.
With this TA, it is easy to create BP for each satellite system.
    Best regards
    Marc

  • To view the list of users in Satellite Systems from Solman

    Dear Friends,
We wish to view the list of users in a satellite system (say ECC5.0) from solution manager 4.0, can anyone help us to find the same.
    Regards
    Senthil

    Hello Senthil,
You mean the list of BP associated to the satellite users already created? If this is the case
in DSWP, choose a Solution that has your satellite as system and go to Edit->BP
Add the satellite system to the list and if I don´t remember wrong you will get the
BP for the satellite users already created in the righ chart.
Sory if I don´t get the correct question?
    Best regards,
    Dolores

  • ChaRM - Change Request where to raise? Is it in Satellite  system or Solman

    Hi Friends,
For creating the change request( TCode: charm_create) is it necessary to login to solman & then raise CR ?
Is is possible to raise Change Request in satellite systems ?
If I have done development configuraion in BI & Now I want to move it to QA. What is the process steps for the same?
    Many Thanks
    Praveen K

    hi
Change Request  have to raised in Solman. You might be aware all change requests will be connected to a maintenace project / Implementation project in Solman.
In that project, your satellite system landscape have to be maintained.
refer the below help doc for the process flow
    [http://help.sap.com/saphelp_smehp1/helpdata/en/2b/614e1cb8204f35b477eac703073589/content.htm]
Suppose for doing a configuration change  in your BI system, you have a raise a CR in Solman and choose the appropriate maintenance cycle of BI landscape and continue process. Refer the solman rkt   documents also.
