Chase Freedom Card Approved and BofA CLI

Hey everybody, Saturday night I hit the apply button for Chase Freedom (also Hyatt, but I don't think that app went through), and I hit the luv button on BofA. Neither was instant and I was quite nervous about it. Apparently both saw an alert I had placed (Chase apparently bypassed it for my Slate last month). Called Fraud dept for Chase today, answered a few questions and the lady approved, didn't tell me CL or APR though. She said she can send out my card in 2 business days.  Then I got on the horn with BofA. I told them I had submitted CLI request online but got no response. Due to alert and my card not reporting to TU, she had to pull EX after I answered some questions (grrr on the double pull). She saw I requested a $10k limit on my currently $1k card. I also asked for APR reduction. She crunched her numbers and said she would be happy to raise my CL to $7.5k, but unfortunately there wasn't a better APR offer for me. She said sometimes it due to the original terms of the card and sometimes it's necessary for a whole new application to correct that. I told her I'd accept the CLI, but would have to think about applying for a new card. I'll let my reports age a little before I do. Should I hold off on Hyatt and another BofA card at the moment? My util is a little higher than id like it to be, but I'd want to take the AAoA hit at once. Anyway, I'm glad these two were approved.

Congrats Cain! Chase should be able to tell you the limit or if you're existing customer look for the acct online.I saw the numbers, was a bit disappointed, but I got the card and in time to qualify for the signup no less. I'll worry about the rest later. So I have Slate and Freedom now with chase after being shutout for a while, I will tidy up the reports a bit more before going for a co-branded card to sorta replace my HHonors AmEx. I was leaning Hyatt, but now I'm seeing IHG might be good one too. Hehehe

Ignore the message. After Effects uses your CPU and RAM Primarily, not the GPU.
You would only need NVIDIA CUDA for one rather insignificant function: the acceleration of ray-traced 3D compositions. Your AMD GPU will not ever work for this function as it does not use CUDA.
The After Effects team is no longer working on this feature and suggests that you use Cinema 4D Lite (bundled) for your 3D work instead. There are also some great third party options for adding 3D elements to After Effects compositions like Invigorator Pro and Video Copilot Element 3D.
    Hope that makes things clearer.
    Thanks,

  • Capital One VentureOne Approval and QS CLI

Hey folks, So today marks my 4th months since opening my Quicksilver card so I decicded what the heck and went ahead and hit the CLi button wasnt expecting anything seeing on how discover keeps denying me CLI's but to my surpise i got a $1k increase. Bringning me up to $4,000!  That was my highest limit card for a total of 6 hours. I got greedy and I decided to check Capital One's preaproval site and I saw I was Pre-qualified for a venture and venture one. Applied for the VentureOne cause I wouldn't spend enough to justify the annual fee on the venture. And bam approved for $5,000. Also, to top it off, its my first Visa Signature! Think I finally broke the $5,000 glass ceiling for me.

  • Chase Freedom Approval after being declined 2 months ago!

I have been a customer of Chase for over 20 years.  In April, I was declined for a Chase Freedom card.  Given the many accounts that I had with Chase, investments, etc. and my score was 695 pretty much across the board, I was shocked!  Recently Chase began soliciting feedback from their customers "We Are Listening" and encourage feedback from prior experiences or suggestions.  Of course I responded and recommended that the CC application should include information regarding current customers, etc.  I received a call from Chase and was asked to go to a branch and resubmit my application ( it was over 30 days old by now).  I was told that the branch rep would "assist" in submitting my application.  Within 24 hours I was approved for a $5,000 Freedom card!

  • Chase Freedom

It can be any of them really. Use the credit pull database but even then it is not 100% on which they will pull. They could pull 2 or 3 if they really wanted to, especially if you are borderline in the view Also don't forget aside from the $200 bonus, adding 1 authorized user gets you an additional $25. so $225 bonus for $500 spend and authorized user. Thats a really good deal on this card.

  • Gotta say it's a good day! QS card approval!

I just got approved for my first unsecured card in quite some time! Because of all of you on here with your wisdom and guide nice I've gone from a credit report littered in CO's and collections to Cap1 secured, Cap1 QS, a FH fresh start and all my collections account removed. Mind you, I just started this journey back in the beginning of May.
So do I go for one more card and if so, which one? I have my car loan and student loans all current so I believe that covers the installment portions. You all have been so valuable in this I would be an absolute fool to not ask!

I think the common wisdom is three bank cards secured if necessary/unsecured if possible. If you're a member of a CU, maybe they are a  good place to try. I have Cap One, FNBO and First Progress secured cards. That's the order I value them as well. I was just able to get a Chase Freedom card after about six months with the secured cards, so three worked great for me.

  • Chase Freedom CLI and Visa Signature Upgrade

I called Chase yesterday to request a CLI on my Freedom card.  She asked me why I wanted an increase and I was honest with her and told her I wanted it increased to be able to upgrade to the Visa Signature version.  So today I was on my Chase account and I am now getting an offer at the top for a free movie that is only for Visa Signature card members, but I don't show a CLI on my card.  Hopefully this means it was approved, it just hasn't gone through!

Sorry you took a HP for 800 dollar CLI. Its not usually worth bothering with Chase. Even with the HP they rarely give big bumps.
The best thing is definitely to do the limit transfer, though you dont want to do it repeatedly or youll raise flags. However, its ridiculous to me that that is really the only way to get a decent CLI with them, and its a workaround, not an actual CLI!
Very very occasionally people get auto CLI but its rare. To me with Chase you just assume and expect that the starting limit is basically the forever limit. With every post like this that I read I'm getting less and less interested in Chase and their policies... Citi too for that matter.

  • CLI and Chase Freedom

Sooooo... I had too much free time on my hands today. First, despite getting my Amazon Store Card CLI a couple of weeks ago from $900->$2,000, I kept reading about how people who didn't get counter offers we're "leaving money on the table".. been stewing over it for a week, decided to say screw it, it's an SP anyways, and requested a bump to $4,000. BAM! Approved, no counter. Part of me is really happy, and part of me is thinking "**bleep** go back and ask for a ridiculous line and make them counter". Don't worry, I'm not actually going to do that. I barely use the damn card as is. Just like the UTIL padding it gives me. Although I'm liking the new padding even more.  Secondly, after my app spree in March, I've been really sad about my Chase denial. My Amex and Discover are lovely cards, and I'm maximing my cashback bonuses, but I  feel like there are a few opportunities I'm missing out on because AM/DSC aren't  accepted at some of my most common spending establishments. So I've been stewing on this since then, and I probably check 2x a month (I know, OCD, I know...) on both Chase and CapOne for preapprovals. Well, my last check-in showed a prequal for Chase Freedom only. High APR, don't care because it would be PIF every statement anyways, same as my other tradelines. But I didn't wan't to leave the garden. I wanted to wait for CSP prequal, as I want a nice travel card and could meet the spend for the points bonus. I didn't want to waste another INQ until at a minimum until I was one year out on the old ones. Today,  twenty minutes after saying "screw it" on asking for an Amazon CLI, I said "screw it what's one more inquiry"... and this happened:  My face. This is my second highest card limit, and my highest ever starting limit.  Well, I guess it's time to replace my spade with a seedling.

  • Freedom, Sallie Mae, and Fidelity Approval

Hi everyone. So I'm a 19 year old who has credit history of 1 year with just a Discover It. I was recently approved for the Chase Freedom ($2200), Sallie Mae ($500 haha), and the Fidelity Amex ($1000). I wasn't denied for any cards. I was also thinking about applying for the Amex PRG, but I decided to delay that appliation because I don't want Barclays to close my account for opening too many new accounts, and I can better utilize the rewards if I apply a bit later. Because these are 3 relatively good cards, I'd just like to share my experience so that others like me know that they can definitely get these cards with such little history. So here was my info before I applied for them:AAoA - 1 year (just the Discover It)Inquiries - I had 2 inquiries on TU. One was in June 2014 from opening the Discover account, and the other was in September 2014 for naively asking for a credit limit increase. I had 1 inquiry on EX from a BofA app in June 2014. I had no inquiries on EQ.Scores - TU FICO was 746. EX FAKO was 731. EQ FAKO was 721. Note: All of these scores probably were much lower when I actually applied because my utilization jumped from 7% to 51%. Oops haha.Utilization - 7% before 12th Discover statement cut; 51% after the 12th Discover statement cut. Basically, Discover decided to report a pending flight purchase along with my normal small balance, so while my 12th statement cut at 6% utilization, they decided to report 51% utilization.Income: $33000A bit more background: I'm a college student with two jobs at school, and I make a good amount of money at summer internships, but as you can see with my low limits, I doubt my income played that much of a factor (except with Chase's instant approval). Also, I always pay in full, so my credit history is pretty much perfect. Note: for people who are new to credit like me and are reasonably responsible, this isn't very difficult. So here's how my approvals went (they weren't super easy). I applied for the Chase Freedom first because it was the last day to get the $200 sign up bonus. I was instantly approved. Then, I applied for the Sallie Mae card, and got the 7-10 days message. I immediately called recon and convinced the guy to approve me, and he gave me a $500 starting limit.  I asked him if he could bump it up to $1000, but he said he wasn't comfortable with that. I then applied for the Fidelity Amex, and again got the 7-10 days message. I called recon the next day because it was late at night. Unfortunately, the number that most people post, (866) 598-4971, isn't actually a useful number because the guy doesn't seem to enjoy his life and is very unhelpful. He just said that I wasn't approved. I then called some credit analyst number, and they said that wasn't the right number for what I was looking for but transferred me to the right number, (888) 221-6262. That is the currently working FIA recon number. However, they told me that because I was under 21, I had to go to a BOA branch and fill out some forms in person. They were entirely redundant, but those forms had a bunch stuff for guarantors to fill out. I didn't have one so I literally filled out half a page (stuff I had already put down on the online application).  It took over an hour because the BOA person had no idea what I meant by the Fidelity card handled by FIA (under BOA), so I had to have her call the FIA recon number, and they figured it out together with my help. Basically, I got the impression that pretty much no one under 21 does this or at least not very much because BOA makes them jump through all these hoops. Anyway, that was on Friday, and I called again today to commence with the recon, but they said that they had already processed that info that I wrote down, and I was approved for a $1000 starting limit. Uh okay, I didn't really give them any information they didn't already have, but whatever haha. Anyway, point of the story is that with enough effort, hopefully you can get approved. Anyway, if you're demographically similar to me and want to read more, here's the thread that follows my going through the whole process.

Congrats!   In my wallet: Quicksilver 5000; Venture 15,000; Barclay Apple Rewards 2000; CareCredit 3300; Bank of America Platinum Visa 2000; Bank of America Travel Rewards 3500; Bank of America Travel Rewards 3500; Amazon Store Card 5000; Discover 10,000; Barclay Ring Platinum MasterCard. 12,500. Total Credit: 61,800.
6/27-FICO: EQ - 789; TU - 781; EX - 681; GOAL: 780 across the board then 800 across the board. Inquiries: EQ: 4; TU: 6; EX 7; Chapter 13 seven years May, 2015. Reset my garden date to 6/27. Gardening until further notice.

  • Chance of getting approved for a Chase Freedom? (with a twist)

This is a very niche request, hopefully some people can provide insight. I am a Canadian residing in Canada (hence the name), with no US work or study visas, no ITIN, no SSN. I would like to get a Chase Freedom if at all possible, from a US border town in WA most likely. I currently have:Banner Bank TruRewards Mastercard, $5k limit (just under 1 year)
TD Bank NA Aeroplan Visa Signature, $5k limit (about 7 months)
Bank of America Better Balance, $3k limit (about 3 months) AAoA about 7 months. Maximum 3 credit hits. Can't buy credit score from myfico as I do not have a SSN. BofA rep in branch told me my Experian score was 720 or thereabouts when I applied though.Any other non-resident aliens able to give some insight?

My comment is based on the fact that after 2001 US law requires applicants to provide a SSN or ITIN on their applications. Chase applications require a SSN for the application to be submitted. I'm not sure how BoA, TD, and Banner go around this.

  • Chase Sapphire Preferred (CSP) Approval+CapOne QS1 CLI!

I am totally and completely in shock right now! TL;DR is at the bottom of the post! I'm only posting my credit life story (LOL) to show that it is completely possible to get in with a prime card really fast from a blank file (contrary to what I had originally believed before reading this forum). First, I would like to thank everyone here on the MyFICO forums, as I have read through SO many forum threads (even though I haven't posted much - haha). The advice has been invaluable! Also of note, I am just your regular Joe as far as income and things like that (Actually, a bit low in that regard - I'm doing well for someone my age, though), so no special treatment or anything...Maybe just pure luck in my case? Background: Started my credit journey with a completely blank credit file in February 2015 (I am 21). Was approved for Discover IT ($1250.00 SL) and CapitalOne QuickSilver One ($300.00 SL) - was also added as an AU on $500.00 Chase Freedom and applied for a card through Fifth Third Bank and Bank of America (also applied for Chase Freedom as my very first app before being added as the AU later on my SO's Freedom card). All three of those apps were denied due to no credit history (so something like 3 TU and 4 EQ inquires - IDK about EX). Chase told me to get some cards and apply again in about a year (they were nice about it, though!). I was not happy with Fifth Third's inflexibility (in retrospect, I might have been acting a bit spoiled, but I was annoyed that Fifth Third knew my account history and all they could offer was a secured card with nothing going for it), so I switched my accounts to Chase. Fast forward to the last week of July - I had been checking the luv button for Discover sporadically since I received that card, but it always wanted an HP, so I never went through with it. Also, I was enrolled in the Credit Steps program with CapOne, so I didn't think to look for a CLI until that was up (sixth statement would have early August). On July 28th, my FICO score updated on Discover's website, and it showed me having a 733 TU (pretty much spot on with Credit Karma). I went ahead and pressed the luv buttons on Discover and CapOne, and got a $3000.00 CLI for Discover and $500.00 for CapOne - both with just SPs (I also received an additional $500.00 CLI for CapOne for the Credit Steps program when my sixth statement cut earlier this month). I checked Chase's prequal site and had prequals for Freedom and Slate w/ 22.99% APRs (ewwwww). I had made my mind up to wait until early 2016 before applying for anything else... Over the past week, Chase's prequal site updated and showed me with 18.99% APR for Freedom (the midtier rate for that card) and popped up with Slate and CSP as well - I had zero clue what would have changed for the site to give me better rates and a new offer...And I was skeptical (although I know that Chase's prequals are pretty solid). I waited over the past week to see if CK would update to show if any credit report would show my higher limits - Just today, CapOne updated EQ, but no Discover CLI was being reported yet. I went into a Chase branch a few days ago and the banker told me that I had prequals for Slate, CSP, and UnitedMileagePlus Club ($450 AF - NO THANK YOU) and United MileagePlus Explorer...Weird thing was that the banker said that no Freedom prequal was showing... I didn't apply for anything and went home. I really want the CSP+Freedom combo, so after doing research on MyFICO for hours and pacing back and forth, I decided to just take the plunge and apply for CSP now. I closed my eyes waiting for the application page to submit - haha...And it came back with an instant approval for $7500.00! I am so happy!!! I was expecting the further review message if not a complete denial! I am debating whether to apply for Freedom now or not...I am thinking that I will wait for the Freedom $200 bonus to come back (it appears that they do it in May and November) and will apply for it then, just because Chase is not guaranteed to group HPs together for multiple apps. I have a few observations: 1) As has been established, Chase's prequals are apparently rock solid for the most part2) While I do have my bank accounts with Chase, I am just a regular Joe - I've got a few thousand in checking and savings, but no deep relationships such as investments or anything. I was always under the impression that CSP was for wealthier people (I've seen some peoples' incomes posted on these forums, and I'm like at most of them) - apparently income isn't as big a deal as I thought.3) My highest credit line was $4250.00, but from what I can tell, it hasn't reported, so I had a $1300.00 (to EQ only, otherwise only $300.00) and a $1250.00 credit line. I was reading that Chase does not like to be the guinea pig in offering higher limits, and that you generally need a card with at least a $5k limit (or stellar credit history) - I have neither, and my AAoA is only the 6 months or so, so IDK if I'm just a fluke or if Chase was just feeling the love. Not only that, but they gave me more than the minimum SL for the card! I thought that it would take me a year or more to get in as a primary cardholder with Chase (they told me to get some cards and apply in a year when I talked to them about my denied Freedom app earlier this year)...and even then, I was thinking that just Freedom would be a good start. Now I've got three fantastic cards just six months after starting my credit journey! Next steps are to get CLIs and to maybe have the QS1 PC'd to a QS w/ no AF. TL;DR: Approved for Chase Sapphire Preferred with a $7500.00 SL - also received two $500.00 CLIs for CapitalOne QuickSilver One (one from Credit Steps). All of this on top of the $3000.00 CLI received for Discover IT less than a month ago! Note that my file is thin (AAoA is just 6 months), and I was starting from a blank file. I'm over the moon!

Thanks for the congrats, everyone! @Monoglot: I was initially apprehensive about the AF for CSP, and I wondered if I should wait. The thing is that I'm going to be taking a big vacation within the next month, and I'm going to start transitioning more of my monthly spending over to credit cards anyway, ao hopefully I'll end up ahead. Worst case scenario,  I can always try to PC to Freedom if I feel like it's not worth it.  As far as the Discover CLI - yes, the SP CLI went through right away once I noticed that my FICO score had updated on their site. It pulled the score from July 20th - I didn't notice the update until the 28th, but once I did, it was like magic! Up until that point, Discover had always wanted an HP. Also, I hadn't really put much spending on Discover (about $2k from Feb-July), but they still took me from $1250.00 to $4250.00.  Now I've just gotta wait for Freedom. I'm hoping that they'll have the $200 promotion closer to the end of the year. If I knew that Chase would group HPs for multiple apps, I'd go for it, but since it's hit and miss with them, I guess I'll wait. I'm just trying to get in with CSP and Freedom before I hit my 5 credit/24 month mark.

Finally, After working for years to revive my credit scores ( with the help of some very savvy contributors on here) I am getting some love.  I was declined for this card in July' 14 (they pulled an equifax score of 625).   Been in the garden a while but I got a pre-approved offer for the Chase Freedom today(my scores are in the high 650's now.)  I was skeptical and researched how solid there invitations are on my fico. Turns out they are pretty solid.  I appd and got instant approval for $800.   Now if I can just get out of low credit limit pergatory.  I am going to recon for a higher limit. Wish me luck!!!

Tonight I was accepted for the AMEX BCE and Sallie Mae World Mastercard! EDIT: ALSO CHASE FREEDOM! AMEX: $3000 CLSM MC: $5000 CLCHASE FREEDOM: $2500  I still need to do some researching on the world version of the MC, but I'm excited! Hopefully can get a Chase Signature in a few months! My Discover FICO showed: 746 but last update was 6/21/15 and I had a statement date of 6/27 that reported less than 1% utilization down from about 30%. Amex gave me a $250 bonus if I spend $1000 in 3 months, and SM is $25 after 1 purchase in 3 months I believe. Reported employed student making $25k (estimated if I remain in my job) 22 years old.

After posting 2 replies that disapeard after page refreshed. a short version. I may do Freedom now and only have $1500 in 3 months spending to get bonuses(Missed out on $200 for Freedom). I want to wait on CSP to spread spending out on bonuses. And If I wait till after August I can use the 40k point bonus for my August 2016 honeymoon and decide if the card is worth keeping before my AF comes up. It will be nice to use in Canada with no FTF.  After CSP a venture may be after with travel bonus. I should stay under 5 card in 24 months as my portfolio is:Auto Loan: Nov 2012Discover It: July 2013Amex: June 2015Sallie Mae: June 2015 within 24 months: 2If I get Freedom: 3 Then CSP in Fall 2015 or Spring 2016: 4.
