Checkbox to remove glossy effect on iOS icon

Since Flash CS6 no longer permit you to edit .xml descriptor before Publishing the .ipa, the way to get rid of the glossy effect in iOS is too complicated, a few more steps are required and no all the people knows the way to (alwasy with some problems extra added).
So, please, add an option in the AIR Publish options inside Flash CS6
(Hope the gloss effect will be removed for ever in iOS 7, but this is the future, and we need something now! )

So this key <key>UIPrerenderedIcon</key><true/> will remove glossy effect. I don't see any case when this was not usable

I am working in CP7 on a project with a Table of Contents that is set to 'Overlay'. The client has requested that I remove the "TOC" button in the playbar, without removing the TOC "Expand/Collapse" icon, so that the user can still hide/reveal the TOC when necessary. The only control I can find is the "Show TOC" checkbox under Project > Table of Contents. However, un-checking this option removes both the "TOC" button AND the "Expand/Collapse" icons. Is it possible to remove just the "TOC" button in the playbar?

If you are using SWF output you can always edit the playbar in Flash and remove it.
If HTML5 you can edit the JavaScript out put to remove the button from the playbar.

Remove embedded effect from clip?

PP CC noob here. (I can't ask my lynda.com tutorials questions) I have a short test clip with multiple effects -all working well. I have added a time remap, which I now can't alter, or remove. Somehow the effect seems "locked". Perhaps I added keyframes that I'm not correctly accessing? The italic "fx" is greyed out, timer icon next to "speed" is blue. Have I somehow embedded this effect? I'd like to remove the effect and start over (removing just the time remap) but I can't delete the effect.

Time remapping is a fixed effect. Like motion, opacity, and volume, it is inherent to each clip so it can't be removed. To get rid of the keyframe changes you made, just click the stopwatch icon next to 'speed' under the time rempapping effect in the Effects Control Panel and then click ok when asked if you want to delete existing keyframes.

IOS Icon Templates on Screen

An empty iOS Icon template appeared on my iPhone 5 running iOS 7 when I downloaded an app, created a folder then dragged the app out of the folder. When I tap and hold the empty icon to delete it, it jiggles but does not show the "x" in the upper left-hand corner to delete it. I want to remove this icon from my phone. Any suggestions?

WHY would you remove this feature from iOS 6? It makes absolutely no sense why you would add so many great features and then remove such a convenient and simple way to be able to gift an app to a friend or family!!! I bought my little sister an iPad mostly so that I could FaceTime with my niece, but she doesn't have a whole lot of money to spare on even inexpensive apps so app gifting was such a simple and effective way for me to get apps to her.
Apple has made such an amazing revolutionary device, and gone to such lengths to free the iPad from being a "PC accessory", dependent on a computer to setup, sync, and so on. Cutting it's cord with the addition of iCloud, making the iPad a completely self sufficient device capable of virtually everything which not so long ago required a full fledged computer. I don't even remember the last time I actually even turned my computer on because Apple had done such an amazing job at providing the iPad with the functionality to serve all of my needs independently. So now I suppose I'm thankful I didn't end up selling off my computer like I had planned, since I'll have to dust it off occasionally just to send my sister a $.99 cent app!? Removing app gifting from within iOS is a HUGE mistake not to mention taking a step backwards requiring you to use iTunes on a computer just to gift a simple little app? Come on Apple, this is ABSURD, ADD IT BACK to iOS NOW!!! Ultimately this dumb maneuver has to be cutting into profits so it's a lose/lose for the app developers, for myself and others who gifted apps fairly frequently, as well Apple themselves! It completely blows my mind as to why they would even think of taking that option out of iOS!

I saw that there, but was hoping to remove just unsharp mask from all the clips but keep colour correction effects.

Thank you for the reply. I wanted to wait awhile in order to ensure that this corrected the issue. For a brief while, it did! However, it did not take long before the screen began once again hijacking my home button presses. This occurs even with Firefox removed from default applications ( triple-checked ).
This never happened before version 35.

How to remove flicker effect from screens / projections?

I wondered if there's an option within Premiere Pro CC ( or AE) to remove flicker effects from screens and projections. I attached a jpg as an example of such a projection. Here is an anti flicker option in Premiere Pro, but it doesn't seem to have an effect on my problem.

You need to shoot scenes like that using a camera that allows Synchro-Scan, which can adjust the cameras scanning rate to that of the display in the shot. Any mismatch between camera and siaplay is what causes the flicker, and Synchro-Scan is the only way to correct it without entirely removing the screen from teh shot and replacing it with another, usually via After Effects.

Using page curl but not effect page navigation icons

I want to create an online magazine where page curl is available.
This works fine.
I also want to add page navigation icons along the bottom so that users can change pages.
The problem is that the page icons become part of the page curl effect.
Is there a way to use page curl and not to effect the page icons?

I´m afraid you can´t place your navigations out of page area by using InDesign only. I think it was possible in InDesign CS4 but was changed when CS5 was released.
With CS5 or CS5.5 you only option is to use 3rd party solutions like eDocker.....

Removing fx effects/adding effects

The Help answer in iMovie says to use the "delete key" to remove effects; the Edit menu offers an "undo for special effects" (and a redo). Then there's returning a clip to its original state. The delete key does not remove the effects--which is best.
We finally found that adding a special effect takes quite a bit of time (maybe 20-30 min)--we were being impatient at first and thinking it didn't work

Hi mocalee - although I seem to recall an instance where, when I hit the 'Delete' key, the entire clip was removed instead of just the effect, I cannot now replicate that. The 'Delete' key does in fact remove the effect, even after Saving.
Maybe there is a third-party effect that iMovie has trouble with - can you remember which effect it was? If it did not delete, what did happen? Nothing? The clip was deleted?

App icon changes to generic iOS icon once installed

So, this one I can't quite make heads or tails of—while the app is downloading and installing on the iPad, I can see the app's real icon design behind the progress wheel, but once it's finished installing, the icon just turns into a generic iOS icon as if there was not one designed by the developer. This is happening specifically with the NPR One app. At first I was thinking it might have something to do with the fact that it's an iPhone app downloaded to an iPad, but I've been unable to replicate this issue with any other iPhone-only app. Thus far, I've tried deleting and reinstalling, deleting, restarting the iPad, and then reinstalling to no avail.
I've taken screen caps while installing and after:

Any thoughts, ideas, suggestions?

I also have several generic icons on my iPad running OS 8. The apps involved are fully downloaded and work fine.
I finally decided to backup to iTunes, do a factory reset and restore from the backup. That all went well, but the generic icons are still there.
I don't want to delete and reinstall the apps. One of them is Launch in which I have created many custom actions. I assume that I will lose all of those if I delete and reinstall the app.
Any ideas?
