The above procedure was the Parent CP. Here the problem is in fnd_request.submit_request('CZ', 'Child','Delete Localized Text - Child Number : ' ||TO_CHAR(vChildNo), NULL,TRUE, vChildMdlRange); i have given sub_request as True and used fnd_conc_global.set_req_globals(conc_status => 'PAUSED', request_data => to_char(vChildNo)) ; to make parent CP to pause it.
It submits 4 child CPs as expected but the phase as INACTIVE and status NO MANAGER and PARENT CP was always in running state.
If i make sub_request parameter of fnd_request.sub_request to FALSE . It submits 4 child CPs as expected with the phase as PENDING and status NORMAL and PARENT CP was always in running state. But child cps are never changing the Phase to RUNNING. It is always in PENDING STATE.
Please suggest how to use fnd_conc_global.set_req_globals and fnd_concurrent.wait_for_request together.

Pl do not post duplicates - Parent Concurrent Program executes  rest of the logic  before PAUSED STATE.

  • Profile Type Privilege Assignments through IDM roles are stuck in Pending State

    Hi Everyone,
We are getting a strange problem in our project in IDM 7.2 SP8. We use IDM role based concept where backend system specific technical roles, profiles (called as privileges in IDM) combined into IDM roles and these IDM roles are assigned to users.
Events are configured on the privileges level (i,e backend system specific technical roles, profiles) in IDM so that once a IDM role is assigned to a user the corresponding privileges are assigned to user in IDM and these assignments triggers provisioning to associated backend systems.
Now for role type privileges the provisioning is working fine. But for profile type privileges the provisioning status is always showing as pending and nothing happening and even no logs are showing in job log.
I tried with execution of the mc_analyze_assignments stored procedure that came with SP08 to find the logs at least but still no information appearing. Looks like the triggering itself is not happening.
I also compared the member events definition for the profile type privileges with the role type privileges (for which the provisioning is working fine) and looks like the settings are exactly same.
Can any one suggest any other things that we are suppose to check? Any help is highly appreciable.

    Hello Venkata,
did I understand correctly: You have business roles, that have SAP-profiles & SAP-roles (both privileges in IDM) assigned. Now you assign such a business role to a user, but only the SAP-roles are provisioned to the backend system and the SAP-profiles are not?
Since you can see them in the UI for the user as pending, it looks like at least the provisioning is triggered, just not completed.
You could check with the following SQL-statement, if they are waiting for the sucessful completion of another task and work your way from there:
select * from mxp_provision where msg like 'Wait for%'
The MSG-column gives you the audit-id of the "blocking" task and you can find more information about that one via
    select * from mxp_audit where auditid=<auditid>
to see, what is going on there.
Also do you have access to the Monitoring-tab via http://<portalurl:port>/idm/admin? In the provisioning-audit you might find some clues for those operations, too.
    Regards,
    Steffi.

  • Pending state issue

    hi all
i am attempting to run a large scheduling run of 3550 report instances. this is obviously going to take some time so is difficult to test within a decent time frame (3.5 days total - yes they are big)
my problem is that some (20%) of the reports remain in a PENDING state.
the code used to configure the schedule timing is
    setRightNow(true)
    setType(CeScheduleType.ONCE)
the instance detail for one of the pending jobs is
    creation time: 2/26/2010 6:05 pm
next run time: 2/26/2010 6:05 pm
both the invoking java application and the enterprise server are on the same time, locale, etc
    can anyone help me out?
    cheers
    warwick

You aren't going to get 3550 jobs running simultaneous, anyways.   Job Servers work by spawning child processes for report generation, and the maximum number of child processes are configurable in the CMC.
There's two issues that's commonly encountered, of which one may apply to you:
    1. If the Enterprise Java SDK application is hosted on a different machine from the CMS service, you have to ensure that the two machines have their times synched using a time server.  When you schedule a report to run Right Now, the Right Now time is determined from the SDK app machine.  So if the times are out of synch, a job may wait in pending.
    2. Scheduling Web Intelligence jobs, you may encounter a problem where the Web Intelligence Job Server may respond very slowly when so many scheduled jobs are requested at once.
If you set the schedule to not run "Right Now" but Once, where you stagger the start time of jobs, and the issue still occurs, I recommend opening a support case with SAP.

  • HELP! iPod playlists are always getting f...d up! HELP!

This is a strange problem, infinite thanks to the person who can help me!
Once I updated my iTunes 5 to iTunes 6, on a different computer I have; shortly after that, the problem started:
I can arrange the main-folder AND/OR playlists on my iPod nano HOW I want, every time I disconnect and reconnect the iPod to my computer it's back to a totally confused state. WHY???
The width AND the chosen columns are always changed again, no matter what I do. I even resetted the iPod several times plus I put it back to its "original state" on iTunes 7 that I now have on my PC. Still the same problem. I think it has something to do with the iPod, not iTunes.
PLEASE HELP ME SOMEONE as this is a really annoying problem.

    Additional information:
In the beginning, with iTunes 6, the problem "only occured" when I created playlists on my iPod. When I had no playlists at all on it, nothing happened. But even when I only put one song in my "On The Go"-playlist, the problem would appear as soon as I connected the iPod to the computer.
NOW with iTunes 7 ans much more options available for the connected iPod, the problem also occures when NO playlists are created on the iPod. :'-(
Funnily, now only the main folder seems to be cursed with this problem. The playlists I created on the iPod with iTunes stay how I wanted them. WEIRD!!! HELP ME PLEASE!!!

  • Databases in Recovery Pending state

    Dear all,
Need your expertise to understand bit more.
Yesterday i came across databases in "Recovery Pending" state problem.
Followed too many recommendations form Google but to no avail.
    e.g. http://dbamohsin.wordpress.com/2012/01/23/cannot-detach-a-suspect-or-recovery-pending-database/
Plucked some leafs from Paul Randal's articles as well http://www.sqlskills.com/blogs/paul/post/Search-Engine-QA-4-Using-EMERGENCY-mode-to-access-a-RECOVERY-PENDING-or-SUSPECT-database.aspx
But none of them could fixed my problem.
    What i did:
I installed 2008 r2 on a machine (DEV) which already had 2008; yea instance name was different.
Had to restart the server so i did (yea, i gave all developers enough time but due to some reasons databases were in recovery pending mode).
After restart, some databases (not all) were in recovery pending state. Above links provided enough stuff to recover them but didnt work. For instance after setting database in Emergency mode, it stayed there for ages telling something like "Database is
being recovered, wait until recovery is finished".
    How i fixed it:
I attached them onto the newly created 2008 r2 instance. Made them offline (on old instance) in case there is any access conflict. Didnt get any error, like files are in use or something,  while attaching them (which raised an eyebrow).
Couple of things i noticed after new instance's installation:
While trying to reattach database on same old instance, I wasn't able to see the .mdf and .ldf files form there respective drives. But i was able to see from the new instance.
    WHY?
Both sql server services (old and new) were using same service account. When i gave service account enough ntfs permissions on the drive i was able to see all .mdf and .ldf files.
    Questions are:
    1) Why it wasnt the case before? Important to note here: service accounts were local admins on the server.
(I think i am answering myself here...would love to get more insight on it).
    2) Is it normal that i just have 2008r2 tools in Start>>Program. e.g. there is just 2008 r2 management studio not 2008 one etc.
Dont want to let this happen in production environment (i will have backups though), so is there any approach you guys are using to avoid it.
I hope i made myself clear here, or let me know.
Thanks in advance for any help.
    Dinkar Chalotra

If you dont need your log file, you can:
    Detach your database
Move the log file to other place
Attach back the database and from the file list, remove the ldf
SQL server will create a new log file and the database will be online again.

  • Batch is in pending state forever

HI i had submitted a batch control LTRPRT through "batch job submission" page ,i had checked the batch job table and found that it is in pending state,I waited for one day and again checked but it was still in pending state
    1.what would be the reason?
2.where can i configure batch server?
3.what are essential settings for batch server?

What CC&B version are you on?
Pre OUAF 2.1 (until CC&B V2.0.5) , you needed the command based cron utility to be running - cdxCronBatch
Post OUAF 2.1, you still have Command based daemon called submitbatch in addition to Online Batch Daemon.
    I assume you are on FW 2.2+, execute %SPLEBASE%\bin\submitbatch -e %SPLENVIRON% -s 60
and look at 753301.1 white paper on Metalink for more details on configuring Online Batch Daemon.

  • Reports stay in a pending state

Hi all, I'm hoping to find a little bit of help in regards to an issue I'm having on a Crystal Reports XI R2 server. When reports are scheduled now they stay in a "pending" state and don't run correctly. I've verified that all the servers (they're all on one physical machine) are started and have rebooted, too.
I get a couple of errors in the event viewer:
    Event Type:     Warning

    Event ID:     34700

I've setup a trace but didn't see anything that stood out as an issue, although I certainly could have missed something. Any hints on steps I could take to get the reports publishing again?

well if you need help right away you should open a message with support and get an engineer assigned. I don't normally work on reporting issues so not much help I'm afraid.
You said the servers are started but are they also enabled in CMC? CCM?
The issue could be from the CMS or job server, did you trace both? The CMS is responsible for sending the job to the job server (at which time it should go from pending to running).

    Tim

  • CiscoWorks 3.1 RME devices hung in pending state

I added over 4800 devices to my new instance of CiscoWorks LMS 3.1 using the dcrcli tool and a about 75% of them are stuck in the RME pending state.  About 900 of them have moved to the normal state and inventory and config archive collection has been successful on them.  3950 have not moved from the pending state and when I click pending no devices show up.  They also show as failed under the inventory collection state.  I am new to CW so any help would be apreciated.
    Thanks!

    Is LMS integrated with ACS?

  • How to search for tasks that are in a given state for a given Process

    Hi,
I want to write a schedule task to pick up all tasks that are in Pending state and retry those tasks one by one, for all users on a given process definition. Can you please tell me if there is a way to do this and how?
    Thanks

    Hi,
you could use one of following and get more help by searching oracle docs or web search.
    select * from test_tab where REGEXP_LIKE(test_column, '^T[[:digit:]]');
    select * from t1 where regexp_like(a1, '^(t+[0-9]+)$');
    select * from t1 where regexp_like(a1, '^([t]+[0-9]+)$');
    select * from t1 where regexp_like(a1, 't[[:digit:]]{6}') or regexp_like(a1, 'T[[:digit:]]{6}');
    select * from t1 where regexp_like(a1, 't[[:digit:]]{6}') or regexp_like(a1, 'T[[:digit:]]{6}');
    select * from t1 where regexp_like(a1, '^(t+[0-9]+)$');
    Hope this helps!

  • Packages stuck in pending state on a new DP

I created a new DP and 80% of all the packages were distributed successfully but there are some packages that did not get copied.  Current status shows that it is still pending.  When I attempt to cancel or re-distribute the package, distmgr.log
shows "Package xxxxx is in Pending state and will not be processed..."  There are no references to these pending packages in the smsdpprov.log.
PkgXferMgr.log and PkgXferMgr.lo_ do not date back far enough for me to review.
I am running SCCM 2012 R2 with no cumulative updates.  I was planning on installing CU4 next week.

I was able to "fix" this issue by Updating Content from the Software Library.  No idea why the primary server didn't just send these packages the first time.  Time to upgrade to CU4.

  • Situations when child cursors are created.....

    Hi ,
I 'd like to ask when child cursor(s) is created..., when a similar or exact text string for sql statement is found on the SQL AREA (Library cache of shared pool) but for a/many reason(s) - described in the v$sql_shared_memory- the same sql area cannot be used..., or for any other reason....???
Does the value of CURSOR SHARING parameter affect this matter...??????
    Many thanks,
    Simon

    Hi Simon,
The purpose of child cursors is to allow Oracle to save some memory. If you have a SQL that that is an exact literal match, but can't be shared for some other reason (i.e. bind variable mismatch, optimizer environment mismatch, etc), a new child is created. This allows one literal SQL statement to have two separate execution plans, without wasting space in the library cache by duplicating SQL that is identical. When that happens, V$SQL_SHARED_CURSOR should tell you the reason for the extra child. (I say "should" cause there have been numerous bugs filed on various versions where there are cases that child cursors are created and no reason is populated in V$SQL_SHARED_CURSOR.)
Now, how does CURSOR_SHARING fit into the picture? Well, if you have a well-designed application that uses bind variables to allow for sharable SQL, then CURSOR_SHARING is not required and should be set to exact. In cases where bind variables are not used, and the shared pool is getting slammed w/ lots of unique literal SQL, then setting CURSOR_SHARING to force or similar will replace literals with system generated bind variables, and allow for sharing of the resultant SQL.
    Hope that helps,
    -Mark

  • Promotion and report schedule job goes to pending state

    hi everyone,
we are using BO4.1 SP02 Patch 1 platform, suddenly now report schedules and promotion jobs are not promoting and it goes pending state.
we restarted the LCM APS and AJS , but still promotion job in pending state
we also restarted Webi APS and AJS but still schedule in pending state.
anyone faced this problem before, could you please help us to find the cause.
    Regards,
    Ganesh

    HI Ganesh
Can you make it 1 and try out once
    Because 1 = OUTPROC and 100 = MIXEDPROC
Outproc causes the job server children to shut down after every job
Mixedproc causes the job server children to shut down after every 100 jobs
and Job server children will be automatically shutdown if left unused for more than 2 hours
Can you check the taskmanager for the jobserverchild.exe is created or not ???
    Please get back

  • Front End Runtimes in BI workload are always 0

    Hi,
We have activated the technical content for BI Admin cockpit in Production. The delta process chains are
running fine daily. The issue is we do not see the front end runtimes in BI workload via ST03N. Only for a very
few queries we have RSDDSTAT settings activated at level 2. BI workload displays only OLAP and DM times
for those queries. But the frontend times are always 0. We are extracting all the step categories. I can see
the front end runtimes for all those queries in 0TCT_C01, but they are not shown in BI workload. Hence even
the  Total Time of the query in BI workload is always smaller as it does not include the front end runtimes.
Any idea why the data for front end runtimes is missing from BI workload ?
    Thanks,
    Sonali

    Hi,
depending on your data flow you have to use the routines .
    Start routines - start routines:
It is used to perform preliminary calculations.if you have any modifications required before the actual transformation is done, then you must write those routines in the start routine of 7.0.
    End routines - new:
You can use an end routine to postprocess data after transformation on a package-by-package basis.
Expert routine - update routine :
You can use the expert routine if there are not sufficient functions to perform a transformation. The expert routine should be used as an interim solution until the necessary functions are available in the standard routine. You can use this to program the transformation yourself without using the available rule types. If you have already created transformation rules, the system deletes them once you have created an expert routine.
