Cisco Cius AnyConnect

Hi, I just been handed a Cisco Cius to play with. The Cisco Anyconnect is version 1.0
and I want to upgrade this - does anyone know where I can get the software and what
version I would be looking for and can I set the Cius to automatically upgrade or
will I need to download and install.
Any help gratefully received. Thanks
Dominic

You can download it here-
http://download-sj.cisco.com/swc/esd/02/crypto/3DES/281278373/contract/anyconnect-all-packages-2.3.2016-k9.zip
You will need a CCO account and a valid SmartNet contract.

  • Cisco Cius AnyConnect check box not getting enabled!

    Folks,
Here we are evaluating the Cisco Cius, however, while trying to get the AnyConnect "check box" marked, it does not check it! Does anyone knows why? Anything specific done on CUCM? BTW, cucm 8.5.1. Any ideas?
    Thanks,

    Hi,
In my DSO I have an InfoObject called Emp No. in the Data Field.
The Emp.No is being maintained as master with (Emp Name, Address, Telephone No, DOB) as attributes.
I have loaded the data in the Emp. No master. Then tried loading the transaction data in DSO.
The Emp.No is there in the DSO active data, but in the query designer its not getting displayed.
    Hope its clear.
    Please help.
    Thanks

  • Cisco CIUS

    Hello,
i am playing around with the Cisco CIUS. I sometimes see a question mark in the battery symbol (instead of the green battery) and when this happens the clock next beside the battery symbol stops. I have rebootet the CIUS, took it out of the media station, no effect. Also when the question mark appears the WLAN symbol or the Ethernet-symbol disappears. Anyone seen this before? Why is that?

    Hi,
I am trying to connect a Cius to a non cisco SIP server.
Therefor I would need a working SEPxxx.cnf.xml file.
I already have perfectly working config files for the 9900 and 7900 series,
but the cnf.xml for the Cius seems to be completly different.
The only thing i was able to manage, was to upgrade the firmware to 9-2-4-45.
Can anyone provide me an example cnf.xml for the cius?
The two most important things would be the locale and the line config part.
I don't have a CallManager to automatically generate the files.

  • Smartcard pcscd SecurityServer Cisco's Anyconnect

In order to access my companies network, i want to use Cisco's Anyconnect and the smartcard of my company. It says the certificate has to be in the keychain. So I bought myself SCR3310 card reader.
Using the unix command pcsctest program the card is read ok, however it shows not up in the keychain. The logging says:
    +30-12-09 14:00:20 com.apple.SecurityServer[33] token in reader SCR3310 Smart Card Reader 00 00 cannot be used (error 229)+
The man pages of pcscd says +the directory /usr/libexec/SmartCardServices/services directory contains plug-ins for the different card types+ however this directory is empty. The man pages also says +Plug-ins for cards/tokens are available from the MUSCLE web site http://www.musclecard.com+ but i cannot find any. The tool pcsctool I tried shows +No services are present - exiting.+ most likely because the /usr/libexec/SmartCardServices/services is empty.
Any body any idea how to continue, and where to find this plug-ins for the card. By the way I have no clue what the card type is, but that can be detected from the ATR string returned by pcsctest?
it seems to be IBM JCOP20

  • Cisco's AnyConnect Network Access Manager (NAM)

    Hi dears,
I configurate EAP_FAST in Cisco ISE and want wired users authenticate from ISE. I install Network Access Manager Profile Editor and Cisco Anyconnect Security Mobility Client on PC. I configure Network Access Manager  when i want to save as that I did not see the . \newConfigFiles folder. Then I did that: Organize’, ‘Folder and Search Options’, ‘Show hidden files, folders, and drives. but in this case i did see the network access manager folder.
I need a to install Cisco’s AnyConnect Network Access Manager (NAM) on PC. HOW  I get this soft? I have a smartnet for ISE.
Which email address(to cisco) i must be write to get this soft?
    Thanks.

You can download the Network Access Manager module from CCO.  This link should work if you have a CCO account.
    http://software.cisco.com/download/release.html?mdfid=283000185&softwareid=282364313&release=3.1.05160&relind=AVAILABLE&rellifecycle=&reltype=latest&i=rs
The file name will be similar to anyconnect-win-3.1.05160-pre-deploy-k9.iso.  Just unzip the ISO with 7zip or Winrar and you will see the NAM msi file  anyconnect-nam-win-3.1.05149-k9.msi.

  • Poblem connecting CISCO anyconnect secure mobility client ver. 3.1.04 versus Windows VISTA SP2: Login denied

    Hi,
Suddenly I have this error with my client cisco AnnyConnect ver. 3.1.04063 connecting with my computer:windows vista SP2.
Message appeared: "Login denied. "name_company" security policies have rejected your login" and nothing else.
I tried to uninstall and reinstall the client annyconect ver.3.1.04063 but not success, the same message, I think it's a problem with my computer because my user id with other computer colleagues runs ok and I can authenticate perfectly.
Few days ago and always I have worked without problems then I don't know what happens...perhaps an automatically update of windows vista¿?
Anyone of you with similar issue or problem?
    Thanks in advance.

I have another computer with windows 8.1 and Cisco VPN Anyconnect version 3.1 works fine ! what is wrong with this computer. After a little bit of research I realised that this issue is from cisco hostscan. Interesting enough comp A(computer A) where vpn client works does not have cisco host csan folder in program files (x86). On this computer I did saw that folder and deleted it.
    I found the following information
C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Cisco\Cisco HostScan\lib has some sort of .libs for various antivirus.... I have AVG Antivirus 2015 and Spy Bot ...
I have attached log files, if anybody wants to investigate then you are more than happy to investigate. Happy to be of help in case if you need any further input.
    Tired of breaking my head...

  • AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client 3.1 attempts downgrade when accessing Customer VPN

I have Anyconnect Secure Mobility Client v3.1.03103 installed on Win7 Pro, which works fine with both my corporate vpn, and a number of customer vpns. For a particular customer though, The VPN setup fails and asks me to download and set up AnyConnect VPN Client 2.3.2016.
I have read other entries suggesting replacing VPNManifest.dat for machines running 2.5, but that doesn't appear to work here. Further, I have two directories, c:\Program Data\Cisco\Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client\ and c:\Program Data\Cisco\Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client\
Alternatively, can the two clients coexist?

I also get this same error, except my operating system is Windows 7 Professional (SP1) 32-bit. Below is a bit more detail....
    Details:
Browser: Chrome (but I've tried all 3 major browsers)
    Firewall: off
    Defender: off
Cleaned registry for Cisco and AnyConnect keys
    reboot
    Goto: vpn.agel.com (auto-install process begins)
It gets as far as downloading the client install file, but at the end of the download the following error appears:
Failed to install AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client 3.1.00495 with installer error: Incorrect function. A VPN connection cannot be established.
    Download from the manual link
    Execute the install file (anyconnect-win-3.1.04063-web-deploy-k9)
I get the "Open File - Security Warning" dialog
    Click on "Run"
The application never runs. Nothing further happens.
    Hope this helps!

  • Anyconnect and win7 binding order

I have an issue where an application will not synchronize correctly when routin through anyconnect vpn.  have investigated and discovered that this is because The anyconnect client will move itself to top of binding order when it is reconnected.  This is after moving it to bottom in windows.  is there a way to have the anyconnect client not move itself to the top of the binding order on connection, but honor the windows setting.

This appears to be a Windows 7 "Feature" where the latest network interface to make a connection is moved to the top of the binding order, as Windows assumes it has better information than the previous connection.  Otherwise why would you have connected in the first place right?
We are having a similar issue with a client who has an application which when run binds to the NIC highest in the binding order and then uses that MAC address for licensing.
Since the app is only run by 3 devices, we are issuing PCF files and Ipsec VPN for those users as the IPsec VPN falls into windows "VPN Client Adapters" pool of nics on the binding order, and doesn't change when it connects or disconnects.
I can see why Cisco wanted Anyconnect outside that pool, so it would have a higher level of control over the PC and prevent the user from bypassing security by using a higher bound nic card if you deployed the BYOD / Mobility Solution.
There is a setting on the ASA to allow you to run a script on connect, under the anyconnect customization / script in ASDM.  Looks like a windows script file might allow you to make a change to this binding order, only issue with that is that we would have to know the UID or whatever for the device in order to create the registry key change for each user, and if they connect form another device we might well break that device by making registry changes to it.
Any comment from Cisco Employee's or Anyconnect Dev / Support team would be appreciated.

  • AnyConnect pre Windows login connects and disconnects for some users

    Hi,
I have Cisco VPN AnyConnect (version 3.1.0310) clients with a connectivity issue which manifests as follows:
A user boots their Windows 7 SP1 laptop up.
Before Windows login, the user clicks "switch user" and enters their Cisco AnyConnect credentials (this connects OK).
Once the VPN tunnel is established a user logs into Windows.
At this point, 1 of 2 things happen:
    1. Most users VPN connection stays connected and user GPO processing\logins work as normal
    2. For a minority of users, the VPN connection disconnects and then reconnects. The VPN disconnect and reconnect causes connectivity issues with mapped drives and Outlook (most likely due to GPO processing not applying as the VPN tunnel wasn't established at the required time).
There are no known commanalities between problematic users - all users are in the same OU and laptops are in the same OU, so they should be getting the same AD settings. The same user can login 14 times OK, but may experience this issue on the 15th occasion.
Within the profile xml file (stored in c:\program data\) the key "AutoConnectStart" is set to false for user controllable and default value. The XML policy settings are being applied correctly (we've checked Event ID 3010 within the Cisco AnyConnect Windows logs).
What we have noticed from using the back end Cisco monitoring client is that users who experience connection issues, connect pre windows login OK, but once they're logged into Windows the Cisco VPN AnyConnects seems to try and re-connect, which causes the current VPN tunnel to disconnect and re-connect. This disconnect and re-connect for users seems to cause issues with logon and GPO processing.
So far, the only rock solid way we've found of stopping this disconnect and re-connect behaviour is by configuring a system deny permission on registry key "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run". This key contains an entry for Cisco AnyConnect VPN. Unfortunately setting a deny on the individual node value isn't possible and if the key is deleted or modified the system re-creates it. I'd rather avoid setting a system deny on the key for all users.
Any advice on how troubleshoot and diagnose this problem is appreciated.
    Thanks

  • Double VPN (Cisco IPSEC + PPTP) no longer works in Yosemite

    Hi there.
I used to use two VPN connections pre-Yosemite, I could establish a Cisco IPSEC VPN using the native VPN in Mavericks, and then establish another VPN through that connection to connect to a PPTP VPN.
It is not possible anymore, but if instead of using Apple's Cisco VPN implementation I use Cisco's AnyConnect, then sure enough I can use the native PPTP VPN to connect to my lab.
MacBook Pro --> Corporate VPN (Cisco) --> Lab VPN (PPTPD)
Whether I use Cisco AnyConnect or native VPN, I can always ping the PPTP server, but can't establish a VPN if using native VPN.
Anybody noticed something change and maybe has a fix for that?

The issue was with my tech department after all...

  • AS5510 AnyConnect Lisence

    Dear  Members,
I would like to find out how we can increase the number of anyconnect vpn logins.
Our current license only allows for 2 logins.
What can we do to increase the number of anyconnect vpn logins to 10 users at least?
I will be looking forward to hear of any positive response.
    Thank you in Advance,
    Ruveni Waqanitoga

The default License only allows 2 concurrent SSL VPN connections.
You have to purchase separate licenses for Anyconnect SSL VPN.

I don't think Cius is supported in CCME.

Cisco Cius is supported in Cisco Unified Communications Manager 7.1(5), 8.0(3), 8.5(x), and later.

  • SIP Inspection Required

    Hi everyone,
Do I need to enable SIP inspection as per this article?
We're trying a proof-of-concept install for the Cisco Mobile iPhone client and the Cisco Cius, since we do not have any corporate WiFi we're utilising the AnyConnect clients that are available on both via our ASA5510 appliances that are running 8.3(1). However, we are unable to make calls via the VPN and find that the call initially rings but the call isn't fully setup when answered (The calling side will just continue to ring).
I'm seeing TCP connections (See attached syslog messages) being denied for port 5060 on the basis that there is no existing connection as the previous TCP connection is torn down. Hoping I can get some confirmation here before giving it a go.
    Thanks,
    Mark

    Mark,
Normally you do not need to have inspection over VPN:
    1) Typically you do not have NAT over VPN (typically!)
    2) All the traffic is allowed over VPN by default (there is a sysopt for VPN traffic to ignore ACLs)
Now if it really is a problem of inspection, it's hard to say.
Did you try skinny instead of SIP? (Just out of curiosity).
    Marcin
