Cisco desktop agent and MWI

Is there a way with Cisco Desktop agent to have a popup or an icon so if there are voicemails the agents will know they are there?

Hi
Not sure what you are asking for here?
If an agent has VM, then they should get the normal MWI/red light on the handsets.
If you are talking about VM for the 'queue' (i.e. a shared voicemail box), then I normally configure like so:
1) Create a line on the system (with a new, unused DN)
2) CFwdAll the line to Voicemail
3) When you send a call to VM for the queue, send it to the new line, which forwards to voicemail
4) Configure a VM box with the new line DN as it's extension
5) Configure the new DN as a second line on all the agent phones that you wish to receive notification.
Now, when a VM is left, the envelope icon on the VM line appears on the phone and the MWI can be lit so all users are aware of it.

  • Cisco desktop agent fail to connect to CCX7.0

    Hello,
Please we occure a problem that the Cisco desktop agent fail to connect to CCX 7.0 extension Agent ID not found.
    regards

We're currently seeing the same issue with only two Agents.  When you look at the Agent's call log, it shows a reason code of Ring No Answer.  This would lead me to believe that UCCX is attempting to pass calls to the Agents, but the phone never rings.  Anyone else seeing this?
We're running UCCX 8.0.2 and CAD ver 8.0.2.300.

  • Different between cisco NAC agent and cisco Clean Access Agent

    Hi all,
if anyone has idea about different between cisco NAC agent and cisco Clean Access Agent, please share your ideas.
    thank you

In 4.6, the agent was overhauled and is now called the NAC agent.  Previous versions were referred to as the Clean Access Agent.  So pretty much, the 4.5 agent and 4.1.3.2 agents are Clean Access agents, and the 4.6.x and 4.7.x agents are called NAC agents.
Some of the changes made were moving a lot of the agent configuration to an XML file, redesigning the GUI, adding a service portion (so that the stub agent is no longer required), and better agent logging.

  • Cisco Desktop Agent\Supervisor & Windows 7 Compatibility

We are on Customer Response Solutions V 5.0(2).  In order to install the Desktop Agent on Windows 7 we need to install DA v 7.5(8).  We have been told by our VAR that we need to upgrade not only our CRA but also our CallManager to verison 8.  This is going to be a big expense especially since we just upgraded four Cisco Servers less than two years ago.
Does anyone have any experience with the Desktop Agent on Windows 7?  If so what version works?
    Thanks

    Hi Sandy,
Here is the page which has the compatibilities listed for Windows 7.
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/voicesw/ps6789/ps7046/ps7282/product_bulletin_c25-563280_ps427_Products_Bulletin.html
Here is the snippet that concerns UCCX.  Which is what I think you are running, but you haven't actually stated that.
    Version 7.0(2), Q4CY10
    Version 8.0(1), FCS Q1CY10
If you upgraded to UCCX 8, you could still keep your CallManager at 7, provided it's on a supported version.
To know that, you need to look at the compatibility guide for UCCX:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cust_contact/contact_center/crs/express_compatibility/matrix/crscomtx.pdf
    I hope this helps.

  • Cisco NAC Agent and Windows 8 still not working

Hello. I recently upgraded the Cisco NAC Agent to the latest version (4.9.1.13) on a Windows 8 VM. The release notes state that Windows 8 support has been added, and that a patch must be downloaded. However, the information about the patch is vague. I'm not sure if it's a client or server-side patch, or perhaps if I already have it as a result of upgrading to the latest version.
I ask this because I plan to upgrade some computers to Windows 8, and have noticed that Cisco NAC Agent can't handshake with the NAC server on Windows 8 (both native and VM), and despite upgrading to the latest version, the handshake is still unsuccessful.
    Thanks,
    -Collin

    Hi Collin,
The 4.9.1 Patch for Windows 8 Support can be downloaded from the following link :
    http://www.cisco.com/cisco/software/release.html?mdfid=282910502&flowid=34713&softwareid=282573326&release=4.9.1&relind=AVAILABLE&rellifecycle=&reltype=latest
The patch should be applied to both 4.9.1 CAM and CAS.
Please go through the README file for patch provided in the download link provided above. It has detailed information.

  • Cisco EIM agent and supervisor

    Hello everyone,
I have a small problem to solve:
I have Cisco CIM EIM/WIM, and created a simple routing and supervisory script for EIM. It is IPTA, integrated solution.
What I want to do is to have agents receive inbound emails and supervisors receive only outbound emails for reviewing (accepting or rejecting) emails from agents.
Agents are receiving inbound emails and supervisors are receiving outbound emails from agents, and that's ok.
But supervisors are receiving inbound emails as well, and I do not want them to receive those emails, only emails from agents for reviewing.
I tried removing agent role from supervisors (in CIM admin console), but they are still receiving inbound emails.
Is there a way to resolve this? What should I configure or not configure for supervisors, not to receive inbound emails?
    Thank you
    Vlad

    Hi John,
Did you run the "Cisco Unified CCX Client Configuration tool " after upgrading your UCCX system. If not please run it and relaunch the CAD or CSD, they will get automatically get upgraded.
    Hope this helps.

  • Cisco Desktop Agent application

How do you change the default URL links in the Ciscao Agent application? Is it done in CM or UCCX consoles?
We have a few agents that want to reset the default links in the Agent application?

You need to use the Cisco Desktop Workflow Administrator application. You can download this through the /appadmin UI under Tools > Plugins.

  • Cisco Desktop Agent Time out?

Can someone tell me if there is a "Time out" feature that knocks users out of the call agent group after a certain perioud of inactivity or could there be a limit to how many users can be in the agent group?
    Thanks ,Chet

    Yes to both quests.
There is a time out feature you set for agent desktop. There is also a user license limitation for number of agents signed on given moment.
in ICM under configuration manager list tools, list agent desk setting see details.
may want to post this in contact center forum.
    please rate if it helps.

  • Cisco Supervisor Desktop - Barge and Interrupt features greyed out.

I have a customer using Cisco Supervisor Agent and Cisco Agent Desktop. In the Supervisor Desktop, the Barge and Interrupt features are grayed out for active agent calls.
This just started about a week ago.
We are currently working with Cisco on an issue with Tomcat Service, but restarting it last Friday did not fix this issue.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks in Advance!

    Hi Jonathan ,
To barge in on a call, supervisor must first be logged into Cisco Agent
Desktop. Login on CAD and CSD by yourself and then try to barge. You can barge in only
once on a call per supervisor.
For example, if you barge in on a call, drop out of the conversation, and
then attempt to barge in on the same call again, you will not be able to do
    so.
You cannot barge in if any of the following conditions are true:
    The agent is on hold.
The agent is on two calls.
The agent is in a conference call.
You are already on another call.
In CUCM under Agent's phone, Built In Bridge must be ON and Privacy must be OFF.
If Supervisor needs to barge in, he should be logged in to CAD and CSD both
and it will consume 1 Agent License, if you are logged in CAD and CSD with
    same user ID.
    I hope this will help
    Regards
    Ravi

  • App-v cubacs and desktop agent

I have a client who is upgraded their CCM environment to version 10. We will be deploying a CUBACs server and client and contact centre express desktop agent and supervisor agent. They are also looking at deploying the desktop applications in a Microsoft App-V (ver 5.0.12180). I have a quick google search to see if the App-V environment is support for these but not found anything. Has anyone out there come across deploying these packages in an App-V environment, and if so are the any issue?

See the App-V client to see if it is attempting to delete the shortcuts during a refresh - you may need to set the log to verbose mode first.

  • Cisco desktop administrator error

    hi,
when i access the desktop administrator by following the below mentioned proceedure i am getting the error "CDUAI1000 Error while trying to load data. Ensure that the system path inlcudes the location of the WebAdminLib.dll". find also the attached files for error.
From the Desktop Work Flow Administrator menu bar, choose Desktop
Administrator > Side A. If your system includes redundancy, you can also
    choose Side B.
    Regards
    Naresh Rathore

following is the proceedure which i used to get rid of the above problem.
On the Unified CCX server, add the location of the WebAdminLib.dll
(C:\Program Files\Cisco\Desktop\bin) to the Path environment variable.
    1. In Control panel, launch the System utility.
    2. On the Advanced tab, click Environment Variables.
    3. From the list of system variables, select Path and click Edit.
    4. In the Variable value field, locate the string C:\Program
Files\Cisco\Desktop\bin; and, using cut/paste, move it to the beginning of
the variable value string. This results in the DLL being accessed from the
    correct location.
    5. Click OK and close the System utility.
    6. Stop the Cisco Unified Node Manager.
    7. On the Unified CCX server, delete the teamadmin folder from these
    locations:
    C:\Program Files\wfavvid\tomcat_appadmin\webapps
    C:\Program Files\wfavvid\tomcat_appadmin\work\catalina\localhost
    8. Restart the Unified Node Manager, and wait till the services are
    restarted.
    9. Access Cisco Desktop Administrator and verify that you can navigate to
the Services Configuration > Enterprise Data > Fields page.

  • CSA agent and NAC agent together

Hi, do you have experience of CSA agent and NAC agent together on the same pc ?
Does one include the other ?
Which one have I to test first ?
    thank you in advance
    greatings
    RS

Cisco Trust Agent collects security posture information from the NAC-compliant applications running on the network client and reports them to the Cisco Secure Access Control Server (ACS). These are some NAC-compliant applications:
    - Antivirus applications
    - Personal firewalls
    - Host-based intrusion protection applications, such as Cisco Security Agent (CSA)
Cisco NAC is a strategic element of the Self-Defending Network. Working together with other Self-Defending Network components such as Cisco Security Agent and the Cisco Security Monitoring, Analysis, and Response System (Cisco Security MARS), Cisco NAC helps organizations achieve more accurate threat identification and prevention while increasing patch management efficiency.

  • Remote desktop connection blocked by cisco security agent

    Hi,
I have a deployment of a Management Center for Cisco Security Agents 6.0.2 and i just noticed that the agent is blocking the remote desktop connection to the hosts, the agent installed on the server shows me the event but i'm not able to see it logged on the Management Center (i can see logged any other events), i'm not sure what rule should i enable in order to allow this connection.
    Do you have any ideas???
    Thanks in advance...

    Hi,
Remote desktop connection uses the highest possible security level encryption method between the source and destination.
In Windows Vista or later versions of Windows, the remote desktop connection uses the SSL (TLS 1.0) Protocol and the encryption is Certificate-based.
TS Gateway can also make the connection more secure, enhance security, see detailed information in this link
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc731264(WS.10).aspx
Don't forget some known offical antii-virus software, they can also protect the connetion from network attack.

  • Agent and Supervisor Desktop Updates

With version 7.x of UCCX, if we did an update to our UCCX server, the updated agent and supervisor desktops downloaded automatically the next time a user logged on.
Last night I updated our 8.5.1 server to the latest build.  I went to run the agent and supervisor and it just gave me a message that I had to install the latest version.  It doesnt appear to auto update.  Is there a way to make that work.

    Hi John,
Did you run the "Cisco Unified CCX Client Configuration tool " after upgrading your UCCX system. If not please run it and relaunch the CAD or CSD, they will get automatically get upgraded.
